Awesome, but a little buggy.
Love Newegg, love what they do. Always get what I need on time and at a fair price. They have great sales and have helped me save money many times. Really easy buying process, Especially with Apple Pay. This has lead to many late night impulse buys.
Only issue I have with the app is when going back and forth within menus the GUI jumps up about 1/8 of an inch every other time or so, leaving a black space at the bottom of the screen. This is tolerable until there’s a 1/2 inch gap and I can’t access the back button anymore because it’s been pushed off screen. This is solved by going to the home screen and reopening the app, but it gets annoying after awhile. Would like to see this fixed, as it’s been happening on two separate devices for months now. No problem on my iPad, only old iPhone 6 as well as my new iPhone 8.
Newegg is by far the best place to buy components I’ve ever used, so the bug is not worth knocking off a star.
The previously mention bug seems to have been fixed (mostly.) but has been replaced by and even worse one. Upon trying to view any item for specific details, the app has a 90% crash rate, turning black and taking me to my home screen. I still love Newegg and their app, but this is starting to make it hard to use. I shouldn’t have to go to my browser if I want to check refresh rates on a monitor or the PCI-E lanes on a processor. Please get this fixed, I need more impulse buys!
Great Service, Less-Than-Stellar App
Ok. So I’ve been a user of Newegg since-well, almost like forever. I’ve always loved their service and the special things it offers, like PowerSearch. Love that! But my main gripe is that their app is HOT GARBAGE. Especially recently, it’ll keep telling me it can’t find results for a search query even if it just worked a few seconds ago! WHAT THE HELL NEWEGG? And from there it only gets worse. It tells me to go back to the homes creen and then things start disappearing from there! Then I can’t even access my cart, my wish lists, anything! And then it force logs me out and I can’t even use the app anymore. I have to delete it, log back in, and get what little work I can in before the app does it again. And this isn’t even a rare occurrence: it happens EVERY TIME!!! So my message to Newegg: Get a REAL developer to make this app. You guys clearly can’t handle it, and I’d much prefer not having usinn this amazing service be such a hair-pulling frustration in an otherwise perfect service.
Customer Service, and shipping are bad

I like their deals but you need to get your s*ht together when it comes to customer service and shipping though another conpany that doesn’t have Fedex Ground on the name. here’s what happened so i order an office chair they sent me the tracking info for the other everything seems fine one week later Fedex changes the delivery date to “pending “ i said ok whatever maybe they’ll deliver it a day late no problem well one week later delivery still pending than i get an email from newegg saing that they just found out the item wasn’t in stock so they’ll give me a full refund SERIOUSLY 2 weeks to find out if the item was in stock! And what the hell was I tracking than for those 2 weeks hahaha so they said wait about 3 days to see the refund on your account 4 days later i had to contact them and guess what i had to wait 20 minutes to talk to Emma thank you emma by the way.
Waste of time.
No idea why my order was cancelled as I had the funds to pay for it in fact I legitimately put in two orders both of which were cancelled; so I ended up losing the deal that it had on cyber Monday. It being reduced to 1370, now back to full price at 1700, on top of that customer service was taking an absolutely ridiculous amount of time with about an hour and thirty minutes of total waiting time. Without even being connected to someone to at least figure out the reasoning for the order cancellation.. I also signed up for Newegg premier, receiving a free year due to military service, but am now going to cancel it. I don’t care about the free year as it won’t matter if none of my orders are going to even be processed properly. I am also going to stop using this service as it only served to waste my time when I could’ve gone to another online store to buy a laptop or at the very least get decent customer service. Completely ridiculous.

As much as I love Newegg, this app has been a terrible annoyance. I recently bought Breath of the Wild on switch as a Christmas present for my best friend and had it sent to her house. I’ve since then made three orders for a new pc I’m building and I used the app to place the orders. When doing so I made sure that only my address was selected for shipping. And even at the end before finally placing the order, it showed only my address.
Well, I was looking at my orders tonight and where are they shipping to? All the way to Florida. I live in NY. It was using my best friend’s address. Once things have been shipped or packaged, there’s no way to change the address.
This has now caused an extreme inconvenience to me as I was expecting these packages by Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. I work 70 + hour work weeks and having these few days off for thanksgiving to build my pc meant a lot to me. However, no I cannot do that. Newegg recalled my order. I have placed a new one, but I doubt I will be receiving the items in time. I am adding a star in here because they did honor the sales price, though they initially did not want to.
Newegg app devs, please fix this issue. That and sometimes the app will just freeze until I click my home button and then go back in and it freezes again and I have to repeat this process to get the app to work.
PLEASE FIX THIS.
I was just getting into a computer building hobby when I came to this app.
The interface is easy to use and the filter options make looking for the parts that I am searching for very easy.
My only hang up if I had to have one comes from the computer building perspective. I would like to see a compatibility filter that narrows part selections to what items will work with other items. I.e. identifying a motherboard to filter compatible RAM.
I understand that this is a very complicated thing to create and manage with the ever changing computer component market but it would make looking for parts much quicker and less cumbersome.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ordered an alarm system pretty expensive after waiting a whole week never getting any replies from the customer service text messaging service or from the seller repeated requests finally called and all the lady would constantly repeat was I understand how this can be frustrating, I understand how this can be frustrating, after a whole week my package is still according to the tracking information sitting at the origin destination meaning from where it’s being shipped from it’s still sitting hasn’t moved 1 inch and they refused to cancel the order saying that this seller has already excepted payment so there’s nothing they can do about it I am completely screwed at this point completely unacceptable in so many different ways days with no information coming back to me be the last time I ever order anything from Newegg I would have better service just ordering items off if wish
Terrible return and shipping in general
This may be just my luck, but I’ve been waiting about a month and a half for a laptop I needed for school. At first, they had to delay shipping because of fires in my area which was fair enough. Unfortunately, it only got worse from there. Upon arrival, the item they sent me was a keyboard and of course I requested a return and had to return the item to Newegg and am still waiting for my laptop. I’ve emailed them multiple times for updates on my return, but no response thus far. 2 stars because they are returning the item without trying to squirm out of it.
Edit: Downgraded to a 1 star due to more complications on Newegg’s part. They sent my return without a house number on it. As a result, I had to chat with an agent, who apparently edited the address and messed it up again. About to talk to them about this order for the 4th or 5th time at this point, but who’s counting?
Great service, buggy app
Long time newegg user. Love their service, inventory selection, functionality, and prices.
But the app is full of bugs. One in particular is bad enough to completely break it for me. Stuck in an endless loop of constant automatic page refreshing, where any item viewed gets interrupted by a page reload, without the user even able to stop this.
Now even worse, an endless cycle of “are you human” prompts that refuse to stop, even after closing the program down and waiting. Forced to uninstall app until they fix this (using iphone 7).
App Order Shipment Tracking is 100% WRONG!
Do not trust the order shipment tracking on this app. I ordered 10 different items to build a custom computer. The case was delivered on Wednesday. Everything else was scheduled for Thursday delivery. However on Wednesday as I use the app to access my order it shows each item in a list, and clicking on any item will show it was Delivered already. Only the case was delivered. Everything else won’t be delivered until the next day. Newegg website shows it correctly. Their app is completely wrong and misleading. Obviously this caused me much heartache and grief, thinking my items had been delivered and either stolen or misplaced. Gee whiz app developers I can’t think of a worse mistake and this is unacceptable. Please fire yourself.
Update: now end of day Thursday. All items have been delivered. App still has wrong info. Worthless!
