  • Self control is rebuilding ⭐️

Someone may benefit from this story, but I know they can be annoying so skip to the end if you’d rather - A little over two years ago I had finally started to lose some weight and went from weighing 150 to 130 in a couple months, gradually dropping pounds. I felt great mentally and physically, and thought I was doing a good thing; only to have my significant other break things off with me because according to them I had developed a destructive eating disorder, and they “didn’t want to watch me destroy myself”. It crushed what I had achieved, and in a naive attempt to win them back I started eating 3x what I was in a day. I quickly not only gain roughly three times more than what I weighed, I also developed an actual eating disorder that wrecked my body and my life. Because of this person I lost all of what I worked hard for and the last two years have been an uphill battle to control my calorie intake. This app is helping me rebuild the self control I lost and gives me the opportunity to deduct whether I’m eating because I’m hungry or because my emotions are out of control. Full five stars from me, no complaints yet. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • I like the app with some minor reservations

I tried the app then bought a year subscription because I liked having the app on my watch, that works great, and I like the journal feature, I could go back and see what I ate and how long my fast was, as well as if I was drinking enough water, being able to add a picture of your meal is a nice addition. It works great in iPhone and although trying to edit my fasting time if I forgot to hit start or stop has to be done through the edit feature in the journal of my phone, I still really like the features of watch app and journal that I haven’t found as useful in other apps. However after 4 months( 120 fasts and 2556 hrs) I tried to download the app to my iPad, big mistake! It doesn’t work on the iPad, and somehow I wiped out everything I had logged for 4 months when I tried to log in with my iPad. I ended up deleting and restoring the app and have now started over. I may have skipped the step of signing in with Facebook or Apple when I signed in initially, which may be my problem. So yes it’s a really nice app, but sign in with email, Facebook or Apple and save your sign in info so you don’t loose it like I did, and not for iPad.
  • It’s not free and they are kinda sketch about it.

I’m not a fan of how they have you create a profile through Facebook or Apple, then they have you enter in all your information and after 5 minutes of answering questions about yourself then they want you to sign up for a paid membership. That’s super messed up. Be up front with your costs and don’t waste my time! I’ll stick with other similar apps that don’t charge you anything for the same feature. Update, this is the developers response to my review in their own words: Please keep in mind that we don’t MAKE you pay, you can easily skip the payment screen after on boarding and have access to the full app functionality with a grace period. My response to that: Uhhh yeah duh that’s how trials work. Besides did I say in my initial review that they MAKE me pay? The reality is that I do HAVE to pay eventually to use the app even if I utilize the short “grace period”. My issue is that your advertisement said the app was free and only after filling out all my information and linking my Facebook account do you guys tell me that the app costs money to use. This is textbook sketchy data mining tactics and I don’t appreciate the tacky response to a very honest review.
  • easy to use and great info

I got this app and paid the Christmas Special. This app is very unique to intermittent fasting. You can log your meal, hunger level, and start/end of fast. Not only does it tracks your fast - it lets you know what is happening to your body as you fast which is super cool. There are also quotes and helpful articles. So far I have used the app for 4 days and lost 4 lbs. If you consider your self as a religious person read on: I decided to get this app because I decided to do fasting for health and religious reasons. Though the functionality, articles, and quotes are great, It does talk about evolution. I don’t not believe in this. I simply digest what I think is appropriate and move forward. Maybe one day the user can indicate specifics on what articles they would like to read in the initial status when creating their profile. Still, love the information portrayed especially in an easy and fun manner to read. Well worth it. 😎

I like this app so far, and paid for the yr subscription. What I think would make this app better is to have a place where you can ask questions and get feedback. I don’t understand the work hrs that are listed and didn’t see one for 4/10. It would just be nice to be able to ask a question when I come across something on the app the I don’t understand or remember. I don’t see a place to log my steps since I don’t have my phone with me at work it gets an inaccurate reading for the steps I take and it’s not compatible with fit bit. I also think it had a few more general food choices and if it could explain what an unhealthy choice is. Also it needs a candy choice since I tend to eat a lot of cookies/candy this way I could see how much. Unless that would be considered a dessert. It would be good if it broke down what certain sections are. There needs to be some more explanation about things on the app that are just very generalized. But I like it so far
  • Life changing app!

I believe this app has been the key to my weight loss success. I have tried many other apps in the past but have found them all to be so tedious, time consuming, and unhelpful. This app is none of those things. Instead of meticulously counting all calories you consume, Simple has you focus more on the types and food you’re eating and how that food makes you feel. It has really changed the way I view food. Not as something to be analyzed, but as something to give you energy and make you feel good. I love the insights it gives you in the form of easy to read articles and tips to help you stay on track. There are constant sources of inspiration to motivate you to stick to IF and eating healthy. This app is so easy to use and I actually look forward to using it, logging my meals and tracking my progress! Thank you to the individuals involved in creating such a life changing app!!
  • I love it to far - those people think it’s a scam, it’s your fault you didn’t read the print

    By its called common sense
When I read the fine print, it says 7 days trial then you get charge after. There were three options: 15 dollars a month, 35 dollars a year and 30 dollars a year Christmas special. After the trial, you’ll have to cancel or else you get charge. Simple as that! Don’t blame the owner because you did not read the terms and conditions. It’s just like ordering a hot coffee without thinking it’s hot before sipping it. Come on people use your common sense! Anyways, this is a good strategy when it comes to self control. I love this since it’s so specific and it guides you really well on how to fast the right way. It will teach you what you can and can’t have during fasting day. I recommend this to all people who want to lose weight and who want to learn self control. Thanks for making this app for us!
  • Awesome- a different kind of fasting app

    By Magkahalo
So originally I gave this app 3 stars bc I didn’t understand it very well. There are some obvious things that I didn’t have to think about to use. But I found it hard to update, etc. However after I received the developers response to my review I realized I had been using the app incorrectly. The other fasting apps that I use are very basic and simple, there is no depth to them, and everything is available on one page. Which is great for quick fasting tracking. But what I liked about this app was it had more things going on with it for an overall health review. I even found it fun to use. But while there are the basic features available it’s within sections of the app that I didn’t realize to utilize. So I moved this to 5 stars because it really is a fun take on fasting tracking and meal logging.
  • Beautiful

UPDATE (with response to developer) I tried to do the things suggested. Didn’t work. I’m not the only person experiencing this issue with the app, and it’s not an issue with my logging, it’s an issue with the app not taking the information into account. To the developer: please read the reviews before responding. If it was “very easy” and “not a problem” to find the way to use that feature, no one would write a review and mention the defect specifically. FYI, the fasting groups I’m a part of on Facebook mention this exact problem multiple times. So it’s not just a few users encountering this with the user interface. —————————— I tried a free trial with this app and decided not to complete the purchase for a year of membership. The app is beautiful and I love all the features. My biggest reason for choosing not to use it is that it’s virtually impossible to change/edit your fast time if you accidentally answer a question that restarts your fast. I was in the middle of a 15 hour fast, and somehow the app thought I had been fasting for 38 hours, even though I had logged food less than 12 hours before. I don’t know if it’s a glitch but I couldn’t find a way to change the timer within the app. I’m looking forward to checking out newer versions to see if they can iron out the kinks.
  • Makes IF really easy!

    By KFillen
Intermittent Fasting (IF) makes weight loss and health simple and easy. This app makes Intermittent Fasting simple and easy, so it works out well! The app makes it easy to track your eating and fasting windows. I especially like the Insights—simple click thru slides with tips and even short lessons in biology so you can get an idea about how your body is changing. I find it all fascinating! Only reason for the 4 stars is that it is a tad buggy at times. For a while it was not changing when I went to edit my goal weight. Also I’ve noticed that I’ll get alerts that new Insights are available, but they won’t be there. This are minor things that I can deal with. I’m just pointing them out. Basically if you’re trying to get control of your body composition and health and you feel bogged down by calorie counters, IF is a great thing to try and this app is a great way to try IF.
