    Amazing series.

If you have any doubts about buying this game or any others in the series, I can tell you it’s worth it. Seeing the developers succeed and have these very well executed finished products has been a treat. The mini movie they produced to go along with the game is even free, and it’s amazing how they got everything to scale and found spot on actors. The dedication the devs show to the mini movie is the same dedication they show to the games. That dedication is something you don’t see every day. I’ll follow the content they produce as they continue to bring out piece after piece of this great story series. I wish the developers all success and hope they keep making great things for a long, long time. You’ll definitely want to play them all and uncover the mysteries of Cube Escape. This one is just as quality as all the others, and I highly recommend playing. Challenging, but not overly so. A point and click game where you’ll have to think as you play, but not something infuriating. Good luck solving the mysteries!

Greatest series of phone games I’ve ever played

I don’t normally write reviews, but in case anybody was having doubts about purchasing this game, or any of the other paid games that Rusty Lake has come out with, DO IT. As a huge fan of the cube escape series I didn’t hesitate for a second to purchase the rusty lake games. I preordered Paradox. Let that sink in. I loved these games so much that I preordered a phone app. There has not been a finer line of games to hit the App Store since Smart phones have been around. The short film that they made to go along with this latest game is absolutely superb as well. The developers of this entire series deserve more recognition than I could ever give. I will recommend this string of games to friends, family, acquaintances, and anybody who takes the time to listen to me blather on about this series. As long as these developers produce games, I will support every single thing that they put out, regardless of whether or not they deviate from the original games and take a new route.

    Paradoxical

To me it’s a paradox that these first 10 cube games are so good and still free at the same time. Honestly, some of the most interesting and en-“gross”-ing I’ve ever played. This one even managed to actually startle me a couple of times with jump-scares. And once again, the puzzles were clever, some a little twisted, and entirely fun to solve. I can’t recommend these games enough- they are absolutely worth playing, as long as you like a moderate challenge with a bizarrely creepy but captivating story and a few mildly horrific animations along the way. If the rest of the Rusty Lake games continue this fine tradition (which I’ve read they do), it’s likely I’ll buy the rest of them. Small price to pay considering what you already get with the first 10, not to mention supporting the development of hopefully more good games. Keep up the good work, Rusty Lake. It’s nice to know I can have a diversion worthy of my attention waiting for me on my iPad. Thanks!

    I love Rusty Lake!!

I never rate apps, but I realized that after paying for all of their premium games and just downloading my 10th cube game, that I might need to make an exception for Rusty Lake. I literally did a happy dance when I saw there was a new cube game I hadn’t played yet. I love everything created by these developers so much. The games are clever, well made, tough, fun, and so creepy that I find myself questioning my sanity for enjoying them so much ;). If you like creepy puzzle games, I can’t recommend these enough. Now excuse me while I go replay all of the cube games for the 5th time... Also, RL: I saw in some of the reviews that people are complaining that you have a paid chapter in this game. Don’t let them get to you. It’s freaking awesome that you offer these amazing quality games for free at all (honestly they’re worth money) and you deserve to ask for money for a chapter of something you worked so hard for! You guys are the best! :)

    TOTALLY LOVE!!!

I just wanna say, I love these games!!! I love how they creatively use puzzles to help you progress throughout each game. Each of the games has its own unique story that plays a part in showing the bigger story behind all of cube escape. I love the creativity behind each of Rusty Lake’s games. These games are all about solving puzzles and piecing together parts of the main story. Almost every game has some sort of Paradoxical meaning behind it. I love puzzle games and would definitely recommend these games to anyone looking for something interesting to pass the time! And for anyone who is wondering what order to play the cube escape games in, they go in the following order: Seasons, The Lake, Arles, Harvey’s Box, Case 23, The Mill, Hotel, Birthday, Theatre, Roots, The Cave, Paradise, Paradox, and The White Door. Also just wanna say thank you to Rusty Lake games for their creativity and their amazing games! 5 stars for you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!!

    Totally addicted to this series

I got hooked on the cube games and ended up downloading and playing them all. The artwork and storyline is so engaging and intriguing that it makes you crave more. It’s kinda creepy, totally weird, and I’m completely hooked! After enjoying the free RL games, I felt I should further show my support by purchasing one of the premium games. And then I ended up purchasing them all. As someone who rarely buys apps, I was surprised to find myself buying all of these. They are all definitely worth it. Paradox is a brilliant game in itself, but the short film and accompanying achievement levels take it to another level. The production and detail of the film are spot on with the game and I hope there is more to come of that! I loved playing thru this series and I can’t wait to see what comes next from the strange minds of the Rusty Lake people.

An excellent mind bending good time.

I’ve now played all of the free games available from Rusty Lake, and will absolutely be buying the paid games next. I hope they continue to develop both free and pay to play apps. I’m hooked! Paradox was incredibly fun and challenging. The hints and clues were well thought out. The puzzles were challenging without being impossible. One of the hardest balances to achieve in an escape puzzle is being intricate and challenging without making things impossible to find. You don’t want clues in plain sight and overly simple to find, and at the same time you don’t want to be left staring at the same screen for hours with no progress because the clue was far too obscure. This game does the best job of this of any I have played yet. I can not recommend Rusty Lake games, especially Paradox, highly enough!

    Amazing,unforgettable,addictive and unique

    1. The storyline was so rich and well-thought. The story alone was so mysterious and haunting, I could play for hours just to know more. Unlike every other escape game, this was more like a journey. I actually didn’t want to escape as much as I wanted to advance. 2. The graphics and illustrations were unique and consistent with the mood of the story. 3. I cannot wait for more! I’ll be checking the App Store daily until chapter 3 comes out! This was the first Rusty Lake game I’ve played so far, I’m gonna download another as soon as I submit this review. It really isn’t every day I stumble upon an app as original and memorable as this. I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication of the developers. Download this app! You’ll be glad you did!

All the rusty lake/cube games are incredible

I love all of them. I remember the first one I played was the cave one, and I thought it was a bit odd but at the same time so captivating in such a strange and somewhat haunting way. The rest of the games are just like this. They have great puzzles, the storylines are mysterious and after playing any game I was left with so many thoughts, ideas, and questions about the concept of the lake and the tales that surround it. The games are all quite pleasing in terms of the user interface, graphics, animation, and I especially like the voices/sound effects/soundscapes. I was really excited when I saw the pre-order option for this because I had been yearning for a new one to play after the rusty lake hotel (with the animals who come for dinner). Please keep making more!

    A Masterpiece.

I’ve enjoyed every single game made my Rusty Lake, but this is their best game they’ve made by far. I was blown away by the depth of this game and the continuation of the narrative of Dale the detective. The puzzles were so well thought through and many of the solutions were hidden in tiny details, which I love. They also had many “logic puzzles” where you had to figure out what to do with little tidbits of information, like how the Crow guy says “This coffee is too bitter.” And then later you receive a sugar cube and then you go back and give it to him in exchange for an item. I love Rusty Lake so much and are so proud of them for this, their Magnum Opus thus far, and look forward to other games they will release in their future. Thank you for your hard work!!!

A Rare Find in the Puzzle Genre

From time to time, I find myself searching for interesting and unique games that can grab my attention and keep me entertained throughout my playing of them. Paradox did that and more. It had an overall sense of creepiness that lingered throughout, and the art style fit well with the theme. The puzzles were not too hard, nor too easy, and they were unique in a way that you had to think differently in order to complete some of them. The storyline itself was compelling and strange (in the best way possible). I loved every minute of playing, after completing the first chapter I was quick to buy the second, totally worth it. I absolutely loved the game, and I can’t wait to play the rest of the cube escape games!

    Amazing Stuff Right Here!

It’s a great game! It’s suspenseful, but isn’t horror... no crazy jump scares or stuff like that. It gets creepy at the right moments so that it makes you even more intrigued. Great story and short film to go along with it. I recommend playing the game first before watching it so that you play the game completely blind to the story and connect the pieces yourself. 10/10 recommend! (I don’t usually take the time to write reviews... I was really impressed by this) Update: I just finished chapter 2... WOW! Hats off to the creators! The amount of creativity and hard work that was put into this game is amazing. The storyline is amazing, the movie incorporated into the game was epic... everything is just amazing! I’m so excited to play the rest of them <3

Apart for obvious bug, everything else is perfect

I used not to write reviews for phone apps, this game is paradoxically great, apart for the obvious bug in the memory maze phase. Here you will have to reorganize the rooms to escape the whole place, while you smartly figure out the way water is filled in one room to be pumped into another(great idea btw). This is when the whole story ends. You just cannot open the vibe to let water fall, oh by the way I watched your official walk thru video. No matter how you tried, you just cannot let the vibe be open. If you restart the app, congrats, you still get stuck here. Only when you reset the whole game process can you return to the beginning of the game, which means you will walk thru the whole nonsensical stuff again!! Yeah, the previous half part is wonderful and innovative and intriguing genuinely, the second half of chap 1? I give you one star.

A Great Game (but one that is bugged)

This puzzle game is fantastic. However, I have experienced quite a few bugs that have degraded the experience. Most of my issues revolved around the clock: I would get the times that needed to be put in, but none of them ever worked. This meant that I had to go one by one through every hour and five minutes to unlock the items from the clock. Additionally, when playing the mind level (the nine rooms inside of a head), I got to the room where the giant glass of water has to be poured and then you have to pull a lever to make it flow. I was able to pour the water, however I can’t pull the lever. The button to pull it pops up, but clicking it does not work. I tried closing the app, restarting my phone, I checked the walkthrough and everything, yet I still can’t press the lever which means I cannot further progress in the game. It is for these reasons I am leaving such a review.
