    This birthday blew me away!

How do they come up with this stuff?!šŸ˜². Just when you think it canā€™t get any weirder and more fun than the last one, you get your wish in this game. At one point near the beginning, I actually laughed out loud at the creative absurdity of what I was watching, then a few minutes later nearly recoiled in horror at what I had just witnessed while simultaneously stifling a guffaw. This is the most fun Iā€™ve had playing an escape game in quite a while. The puzzles are once again a pleasure to solve, but the creativity alone feels like Stephen King directing a scene from ā€˜Alice in Wonderlandā€™. While itā€™s not necessary to play these games in order, it certainly makes it easier to comprehend and probably more enjoyable, too, so I suggest starting from the beginning for maximum fulfillment. Ok, Rusty Lake, getting ready to download more shock and awe; here we go...šŸ¤Ŗ

    Amazing Game, Really Cool!

This is one of the many games I got because I loved ā€œSamsara Roomā€ which you should also get. I just finished it for the second time and I realized how confusing it can be. I thought you just had to rub away the fog on the window but you actually have to draw a tree. Also, the stamps with the starry night was so cool!! Itā€™s very challenging and has a few jump scares that frightened me even after I played it once! Itā€™s really fun and I still am confused on how to get the last achievement. Itā€™s a very complex, scary, and fun game to play. I suggest you get ā€œSamsara Roomā€ and the other cube escape games, like the lake and seasons.

Best/Worst birthday ever? Keep them coming Rusty Lake!

Thank you for making them inventive, dark, addictive, and entertaining. When I start one, I canā€™t put it down until I finish. Iā€™m glad you have the you tube walk throughs, though I try not to use them, you do get stuck sometimes. I prefer logic t o trial and error and most of the puzzles can be logicā€™d. Thank you, I canā€™t wait for another one. I wish you would do more after quests, like in roots, I really enjoyed going back for more!

    Interesting premiss pretty good excecution

I think overall this game was amazing to play, I haven't played the others in the series but I plan to, the story clearly is a part of a much bigger story. Only really bad thing I can say about it is the sometimes convoluted puzzles like the boiling water melts the snow and you find something under a welcome mat, but that comes with the point and click adventure genre. Clearly a solid game through and through with its minor downfalls.

    Quite a present!

The games in this series just continue to get better and better! I have no doubt that I will be buying the paid games once I come to them in order. I found this series through playing samsara room and Iā€™m hooked! I try not to ever use the hints, but love that they are in then game. If Iā€™m absolutely stuck Iā€™d rather use a hint than ruin the fun with a walk through. Thank you for developing such a weird world!

    rusty lake enthusiast!

I have played as many rusty lake games as i can find. iā€™ve played through the free ones and i bought and played the three on steam. i honestly really love this franchise, sometimes it is very specific on what you need to do, but the overall story, aesthetic, and the satisfaction of solving the puzzles is worth a tiny bit of confusion. i recommend keeping a notebook on hand to sort your thoughts and the information needed.

One of the best Cube Escapes.

I adored this one. It was very well done and the twists were what really made it unique from the rest of the series. I loved the way other people besides yourself had lines and the ability to talk. And the fact that there was more interaction with different people was incredible as well. Although some areas werenā€™t as clear to me, it was understandable once I figured it out. Amazing, fantastic game.

    Awesome games!

Iā€™ve played all of these games in chronological order. The free ones are short, the chapters you have to pay for are much longer. Theyā€™re worth purchasing. Do yourself a favor if you like creepy, interesting puzzle games. Buy and download all of the chapters, Google the chronological order of these games, and play them in order. I canā€™t wait for more chapters to be released!

    Great game butttttt

I love your games!!! but I think I found a hole. Iā€™m at one of the last steps and the grandfather told me to look into the chest. Idk how to do that cause i donā€™t have a key or anything. I think I did some stuff in the wrong order. I might need to start over :(. I looked at the walkthrough cause i was stuck but they have a key once they get the last where Iā€™m at.

    Weird but fun

I have played most of the Rusty Lake games and found them to be strange but very interesting even when some of the puzzles are not adequately framed. The available walk-throughs are a great help for me only when I get stuck. You have to be observant yet keep an open mind and be willing to try anything no matter how unusual. Enjoy the weirdness.

    Really weird and clever!

I love games like this and it's my second Rusty Lake after Paradise. Very simple puzzles but deceptively hard. I had to check the walk through twice but was annoyed at myself after for not seeing the answer. The best kind of puzzle game, and super hauntingly weird and creepy to boot. Time to get the next game!

The most entertaining of the series

This is the episode of the Rusty Lake cube series that really pulls it all together. In Birthday, the weirdness, the time travel, and the metaphysical elements combine to create not only a unique atmosphere of suspense and horror but a smart game where the elements do not seem randomā€”as they have in a few of the gamesā€”but are purposeful, clever, and satisfying.

    Always amusing, sometimes too obtuse

I like the weirdness of the games. I only played the free cube games after doing the paid rusty lake trip. Itā€™s only the cube games I got frustrated enough to use the walkthrough videos for hints. Some ā€œpuzzlesā€ are just so obtuse that I needed them ( like the- possible spoiler here- fly in this one). Maybe a hints system would be nice because after that things went okay.

    A fun and engaging game

It was a fun game and creepy at the same time. Love the colorful colors and illustrations in the game. To mention colorful characters as well. Until the very end of the game when I unlock the bottom cabinet and a snow globe appears. After the snow globe shakes and the owl appears the screen goes black. The only way I could get the game to work was by turning off my mobile and turning it on again.
