"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is a vast magical world where you are honored with the crown of a tiny fairytale kingdom. When you become the head of the country all the responsibility for the land's prosperity rests on your royal shoulders. You will have to fight various enemies and monsters, explore new territories, manage economic and scientific developments and solve a heap of unusual and unexpected tasks. For example, what will you do when all the gold in the kingdom transforms into cookies? Or how will you bring back the trolls who robbed caravans and whose disappearance ruins the economy of the country?
The core feature of "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is that you cannot control your citizens directly. There are a lot of heroes in your lands: valiant warriors and warlike barbarians, powerful wizards and grim necromancers, industrious dwarves and skilful elves plus many more. But all of them live their own lives and decide for themselves what to do at any moment. You are able to issue orders but heroes will follow your commands only for a sizeable reward.
"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" contains elements of role play: while fulfilling your orders, the heroes improve their skills and talents, as well as earn cash to be spent on new equipment, weapons, and magical elixirs.
"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" – the throne is waiting for its hero!

Absolutely worth buying
When I was younger, I played Majesty on computer obsessively. I saw that this game had been ported to the iOS I had to give it a shot. After beating the entire game on brutal, without spending a dime, here is my review. The Good: Majesty plays very similarly to the original version. The levels are fairly unique, and you do not need money to beat the game even on the hardest difficulties. After spending close to 30 hours beating the campaign, there is lots of replay-ability in skirmish mode. The Bad: I couldnt really think of anything except one issue I encountered with balance. While not game-breaking, there are some issues, especially with ranged units. Elves and Rangers are almost completely useless, especially on the brutal difficulty. Monster’s dodge should be nerfed and ranger/elf damage should be increases. Other thoughts: It should also be mentioned that when you construct multiple buildings, it slows down the build time of all structures. Not a problem, but new players may not know this. Overall: I absolutely loved playing through the campaign. It was very challenging, but fair. I look forward to many more hours spent replaying the campaign and messing around in skirmish mode.
Whoa, this game is amazing!
I love this game. It's classic. It requires strategy to win each level. And it's so much fun to play. It never gets old. It doesn't lag, it doesn't crash, it doesn't have any glitches (I should know because I have been playing it for almost a year and have never found a single glitch, crash or lag) and the in app purchases are not required to move on in the game. You can move on without them. And there are no ads. This game is the BEST. I mean the BEST. Oh and seeing all the hate reviews is really sad. This is a good game. People just don't know how to appreciate little blessings like this awesome game. It really is the ultimate fantasy battle experience, and the fact that the game is pixelated is pretty cool. We don't see a lot of pixelated games out there besides Pac Man. I'm planning on getting the North Expansion game as soon as I complete this one. I promise you won't regret getting this game. I highly recommend it. Why isn't it featured on the home page of the App Store yet??? It totally deserves to be featured! -WildDragonGirl1
Best kingdom builder game ever made
Best kingdom builder sim game ever made... hands down. Ok maybe there’s a little bit of nostalgia prejudice but honestly this game has aged so well. I love the world, I love the mechanics, I LOVE the music which is the same as the original game, and I love that the mobile game is nearly identical to the original game. We lose the voice acting in the mission objective screen and the priestesses of Krypta are now priests for some reason, which bummed me out, but honestly if that’s the worst you can find in a game, you have a winner. Take my money, I freakin love Majesty and it’s Expansion.
Now 64-Bit And Optimized for New Devices
An awesome game that has been responsibly maintained by the developer on iOS since it launched. Free of microtransactions, timers, and in-game currencies that plague almost every game of this type. The only thing I wish I could spend money on is the ability to buy this game twice. Yes, you have to actually buy it (it’s not “free”). Spend a few bucks up front and see what it’s like to play a game and not be hounded to keep throwing money at it.
Dunkinsupreme50
Been playing this game since it first came out on Pc. Still so much and replay value
Annoying AI
Really fun game, but there are some major AI quirks that always get to me. Foremost being, healers will walk around in big mobs of 4 and heal each other rather than healing my troops. Usually they all tag along behind one paladin and heal her in between healing themselves. It's all well and good to have 4 level 9 healers, but not if they don't do their jobs. I have people dying around the healers but they don't seem to care so long as they have another healer nearby to heal instead. For this reason I find the evil temple more useful since the necromancers will actually do their own thing and be useful, even if they can't cast raise dead on their own like the healers supposedly can. Additionally, and I suppose this is something I should just babysit more to avoid, but level 1 wizards will just walk up to a huge troll and try to blast them with spells all by themselves. For supposedly being old and wise they sure are stupid. One swing of a club and no more wizard. Other than AI gripes it's really quite charming.
Started off great! Now I’m super disappointed 😞
I was so excited to find out Majesty was available to play, after looking for some of my favorites from childhood. I was addicted to playing the campaigns, and completed several within one sitting. However, I was playing yesterday and realized one of the campaigns is likely rigged (unless $$ is spent). I’ve restarted this campaign over 20 times, changing up variables to overcome all of the obstacles (on the easiest setting). The bad guys come out with a vengeance around a certain point, so I’ve learned to work quickly and use the tools given. But even when I have everything possible in place to beat the mission, the game seems to cease all normal functions (e.g. none of my 20 heroes can be found on the screen, some of them disappearing for over 20 min...until the game is lost). Without heroes to protect the buildings and complete the mission, it is impossible to win the campaign. Something is amiss here. I’m highly disappointed that any money was spent on this game, considering I will never be able to complete the entirety of it.
Bad turn for a great game
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Unfortunately they tried to move to an IAP model. I have no problem with IAPs. But these guys are too lazy to even do it correctly. I played this game many many many times before the update, and I’m very familiar with all the difficulties. What they’ve decided to do raise the difficulty, and then allow you to spend 99 cents to gain a lot of gold for that level. Here’s the problem. Newer people will see that they’re losing so they will spend the 99 cents to get 50k gold. But if your barely too far gone, no amount of gold is going to help you. So then you lose quickly anyway, and there goes your 99 cents, it does not carry over to the next level. IAPs for this type of game should give permanent boosts to help someone along in the game. Shame on you for taking the lazy way out.
Descent attempt to port the original
I loved the original , got this just to be nostalgic , although not a bad game but it seems like a half baked indie game . It tries to save a lot of the original majesty vibe which I loved. The game play is a little rough and clunky as I found it difficult to scroll around the map and have general feel of what is happening in my kingdom . Also the game seem to lack the details for example level 3 bow is a level 3 weapon as oppose to enchanted yew longbow . Also the sound is frustrating absent none of the character seem to say anything , no “ where’s the gold “ , “ I am melting !”, “ agrela smiles upon you “ small things like these add a lot to the character of the heroes which was sadly missing in the game. And it seems like they wanted to port the original majesty but didn’t have the resources to port it completely , for instance you don’t see peasant, the buildings autobuild same for gnomes , buildings auto repair . I wished they didn’t cut crucial aspect of the game play like that
Long time fan
I was a huge fan of this game, and i enjoy the app but like many i am upset that many of the characters are the same...magic base hero’s almost all are the same character with different colors. And the names we can only have so many characters out at a time, i don't think it would be to hard to make 40 different names for each class and have them randomized so that we dont have these ridiculous names and used multiple times within the same game. Paladins are also the only females found in the game, when the pc used to have more Krypta priestess’s were my favorite imagine my face when i saw them being just a color altered version of the wizard :/ I love the game, but it feels like a hollow shell of its former self.
Encouraging micro transactions
I’ve had this app many times over many years. It’s one of my all time favorite games that I can play over and over again. However, this company has been shady with it. They will dump the old one and make a “new” one for purchase, stopping support on the old copy. They added micro transactions for gold on a level that, if you fail, you need to purchase on a retry. Further, they have absolutely raised the difficulty of these levels to nearly impossible on the lowest setting (pacifist) on a few levels. It’s unbalanced to encourage you to spend more money. Again, a long time favorite game. But it’s gone downhill due to greed.
Meh transition from awesome game to mobile
This was an awesome game on PC and I was really excited when I saw a mobile app for it. It is enjoyable and interesting. But it isn’t a shade on the original game. In fairness it needs to be adapted for mobile apps as stated and is done reasonably we’ll however if you are familiar with the original game many of the different temples have been eliminated and options removed. Again though if you knew or enjoyed the original I think you’ll be underwhelmed. Also there is not a single female hero anymore. Especially not the Krypta’s which was a total jerk move. It is however a very solid way to spend half an hour or so at a time on a game.
More Sexist than the Original
While some changes were made in porting to iOS, the cultural changes took a step backwards. One of the early levels is about feminist harpys that want to abolish polygamy — they are branded terrorists with which the kingdom will not negotiate therefore you must kill them all. This is an easily changed paragraph or two of text, but a storyline the developer chooses to keep nonetheless. In addition, others have mentioned the heros from the Temple of Krypta used to be priestesses and this has inexplicably changed to male necromancers. Of many hero classes, the only female hero class is now the Paladins with names like “pretty,” “stubborn,” or even “manhater.”
I want to cry
I loved the original Majesty growing up, so the moment I started this, the music hit me right in the nostalgia. The buildings, the mechanics, it was all the same, with a few obviously necessary tweaks and some paywalls. Then, I noticed it. When I was a little girl, I loved that so many of the units were female. The Healers of Agrella, Priestesses of Crypta, the Paladins, the Solari... in this version? Healers and Priestesses (now Necromancers) are old men with white beards. Note that the game already has wizards that look like this. The Solari are gone (game reasons, I get it), and only the Paladins remain. And the campaign takes every possible opportunity to mock women. It starts with harpies and moves on to PMSing Paladins and runaway brides... about a quarter of the levels I played were about how awful women are... in a kingdom builder RTS! Who thought this would be a good idea? I put the game down in disgust. TL;DR- Sexist mess, Skip it.
