    Fun game but...

The destroyer vega literally ruins the game. So for people who are thinking about downloading this game, know this. The game is really fun and competitive, with really no need to spend any money on the game. I did a few times because I really enjoyed playing... until you get to around lvl. 30. Then the game gives you an offer to buy the "Destroyer Vega" for 13$.. if you pass this offer up you won't be given another chance to buy it.. the destroyer vega is extremely over powered for its level. It is a lvl 30 ship that can easily overpower lvl 35 ships... so now that you are about lvl 28 you will only be put up against "destroyer vega" ships for the next 6-7 levels, who crush you, making you have to wait 30 mins between getting crushed again by another destroyer vega, and earning no cash or experience between battles... if this gets fixed I will continue playing but until then I'm stuck at this impassable destroyer vega plague that ruined the game! UPDATE: hey guys! Sorry I was a little heated when I made this review (after losing to the vega many times in a row). Yes! I think the game seems to be matching up a lot better now! I think this problem is fixed and I would strongly recommend this game to anyone! Please add more cool ships and features soon:)

    Great game

Unlike a lot of games you don’t have to buy anything to actually play. It’s a lot of fun and getting premium currency isn’t too hard. You can do challengers each day and get like 40 and then watch adds and get like 20 more. Researching new tech isn’t a waiting game, if you have the credits you get it instantly. You can also buy upgraded components for either standard credits or premium currency. The only waiting is after you lose ship to ship PVP or the fleet battle PVP. Strategy is key and placement of components can make a low level ship a match for ships that are way above it in level. There’s a learning curve but once you figure it out it gets a lot easier. I recommend not spending premium currency to upgrade ships till at least level 10. Instead buy more ship yard slots. The upgrades add a few extra slots to different sections. Some extend the front, add a few extra slots near the middle, extend the rear, or add more engine slots. Best mobile game I’ve played!

    Great game 11/10

This is a great game and would recommend to my friends. I would love for a large vector thruster to be made that is the same size and shape as the missile wall(forget the exact name). Would like it if I wasn’t going against broadswords and star gates as a hammer head. Also ravens appearing at about 200. But still great game. I have a question about the age eagle aka millennium falcon, why is it so expensive my hammer head takes them on with out severe damage most of the time even ones with all mods on the eagle. Another suggestion for new items is the grand missile wall(still forgot). Twice the size and twice as many missiles or more. One more then I am done. A high level shield that costs a pretty hefty amount of energy and blocks lasers and lasers only. Takes up four slots and only has 75 hp with 15 regen a second and is very large of a shield size one will cover a broadsword with some distance. Thank you if you guys read this and keep up the good work devs

Loving It But A Suggested Addition

I’m absolutely loving this game, I have yet to run into any major walls that I didn’t overcome rather quickly with a change of my strategy. I have suggested it to a few friends. My biggest suggestion is a “Targeting Preference.” By this I mean by tapping a certain weapon and selecting what it prefers to shoot at. I like to use a lot of Vulcan turrets, and I am encountering an issue with ships that have multiple smaller ships follow it. I would love to have a few guns set to “prefer” targeting those secondary ships, and that’s what I mean. Maybe they can also target certain block types, like armor over internals, or engines over armor. But mostly I just want to be able to have some target between “primary” ships and “secondary” ships. Thank you! (This is definitely not a deal breaking issue, I’m still loving the game. I just want maximum DAKKA)

    Enjoyable game but beware..

I really like this game for how simple it is. Ads are not the core of the game witch is nice. You can watch ads if you choose but you are rewarded for doing so with in-game money to help you out and not at a worthless rate, witch is nice. You have plenty of options to fit your ships in a offensive and/or defensive strategy. My only issue is with the Vega. I’m not mad that cost real money. I’m not even mad that it’s $13. When you hit level 30 you are given the option to pick up this absolute over powered beast. I you are willing to spend money (by level 30 you will know if you really like the game) then I guess do it. BECAUSE IF YOU DONT.. prepare for a long painful struggle to level 35. The Vega will show you no mercy. It’s extremely hard to take one out. You are thrown in with Vega’s over 50% of the matches so it’s going to get annoying. Weather that’s all just a ton of people dropping skrilla on a iconic ship that totally lives up to its name, or they just toss this into make you want to buy it more, I don’t know. Seems kinda sketch how many times I have to fight one but that’s just me maybe. I’m level 34 with a Phantom and I’m still getting smoked by Vega’s on a regular basis but not as much as the early 30’s. This is my only gripe with the game or I would give it 5 stars.

Short-lived game unless you spend money

Another reviewer was spot on: ships become obsolete quickly and are too expensive to replace without paying real money. Your ships don’t get matched based on its class. They are matched by your ranking. My level 6 ship just got matched against a level 12 and level 15 in the last two matches I played. My other two ships are level 7 and 10. The level 10 does well sometimes but is quickly becoming average. The game doesn’t reward you with enough credits to buy new ships for each hangar you own or keep up with new tech research, so you end up with fairly useless ships to play with unless your opponent has a horrible design. Add to the fact when you lose a battle there is a repair timer, so depending on your matchmaking luck, you may have a very short play session. I do recommend trying this game though because it is fun to play and test out different ship builds, but due to increasing repair timers and pricey ships and tech as you progress, the game slows down a lot and ultimately won’t stay on the virtual “shelf” for long.

    Fun and addictive, but...

I recommend everyone to play this game. It is very entertaining and highly addictive. It is fun watching my ship destroy another ship or vise versa. It’s great that one gets to actually see how the fighting goes and fix their weak spots. I haven’t had problems with the ads either. There aren’t many ads like any other free video game groups, I’m not going to mention any names VooDoo. There are a few problems though. One is that it is very difficult to collect points. After purchasing a new ship, it takes so much time to collect more for the next ship. Another problem is that when the game says that you either won or lost a battle against a person, it doesn’t let you see the actual battle. I recommend adding an option to see the battle. I like to watch the battle go on and then fix my issue on my ship, but it doesn’t let me do that. Other than that, it is amazing. The options are not confusing at all, and no OP ships that I know of so far. I absolutely love the game.

Still needs work but a decent game

So this started out as a good game. I noticed some small sync glitches at first, but now that I’ve paid for a few things it’s getting worse. I bought a unique ship (the Federation Pirate Ship) for $15 and when I bought another ship (Morningstar) even though I had it replacing a different ship, it deleted my unique ship! And there is no chance to repurchase it. Needless to say I will be filing for a refund and really encourage people not to waste their time and especially their money on this game! Edit* - it took some time but they were able to go back and give me back the ship I lost. The fact that the customer service actually cares enough to email you and help is great! The only reason this doesn’t get more stars is bc as I played through, I noticed that the Fleet Arena matchup system still needs some work. There are times where it matches me against fleets with fighter and corvette level ships (all mine are battleship level) which means even after I wipe out their fleet I get very little experience. Then I have to wait an hour before I can fight again. I would suggest either fixing the matchup system to only fight fleets of your level or shortening the wait time (like if you wipe out a fleet, you only have to wait 10 minutes). But the developers are good at listening to their customers so I encourage anyone to make suggestions.

    Destroyer Vega Destroyed This Game

I started playing a few months back, and even decided I liked the game enough to make a purchase. Then, as a certain space movie was releasing the devs decided to capitalize on the hype by releasing some ships “heavily inspired” by a certain incredibly popular sci-fi franchise, for real money. Now, I’ll ignore the IP violations and lawsuit your favorite mouse could likely hit this little studio with, and I can even ignore selling a little power for money and giving people who choose to make a purchase a small advantage over free players. Power sells, the devs need to eat. I get it. But one of the ships released is so ungodly powerful it’s stupid. I’m talking it’s a waste to keep playing where I am in the ladder. If I get matched against a Destroyer Vega, I lose. I get 0 exp or currency, and a 20 minutes wait until I can hit the button to get randomly matched with another Destroyer Vega. I can’t complete the dailies, I can’t even get another level to reach the next ship. So, you can’t get the free shop currency at a decent rate, can’t level, and can’t progress unless you’re willing to shell out the cash to progress, and likely the next ship up won’t solve the problem anyways. So, you do what you have left. You delete the game, leave a long winded not good review, and kiss the game goodbye.

Nice game with a fatal flaw.

The gameplay is pretty good and the mechanics are nice. It is a bit grindy though and it's one of those microtransaction-megaboost games but that's alright. However, the one fatal flaw that ruins the game is ship repairs. See, when you lose a multiplayer battle, which a lot of times favors the enemy, your ship needs repairs. Fair enouh, but let me tell you- the repair times are AWFUL. I currently am using the raven (awful ship, do not recommend) and the repair time is 10. excruciating. long. minutes. I mean jesus, joseph and mary, what games can you think of that don't let you play after losing a battle to broken matchmaking? Oh, I know; this game. Now, you can have multiple ships (given you grind the game for a good few hours at most or spend that happy meal money onto a few triangle money things with a weird name) but you also have to buy NEW ships because when you buy a ship, you buy A ship, not an infinite supply of one. Did I mention the game is pretty stingy with currency? So yeah, overall, solid 3/5 or 6/10. Great gameplay but a hot dog water economy.

    So much potential

This game has so much potential. It’s a super fun concept, but I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews. The beginning levels and ships leave very little to strategy and creativity with how small the ships are, and the money made per battle is really low considering how much more bigger ships cost. It makes for a very slow, kind of boring game. I imagine it will be much better with the bigger ships later on, but I have a hard time wanting to keep going. I’m to a point now where I have the best layout I can make, so I push a button to initiate a battle, hope I win a few matches before I get destroyed, then wait a little while before starting over. Then I have to repeat this monotonous process over and over again for a long time before I have enough to buy the next good ship. Once I have it I spend a few battles figuring out the best layout for the equipment, and then I’m back to the same repetitive stuff. I think more could be done to improve on the overall concept. I would love it if we could manage fleets of ships. Sell small ones to buy big ones, or just focus on a bunch of small ones. Maybe have fleet battles. That would be WAY fun.

Destroyer Vega ruined the gameplay of a very fun, interactive game

The addition of the Destroyer Vega has ruined this game. I stared this game maybe 2 months ago and loved it. It was fun, interactive, competitive (to a level that was good for a free phone game) and was easy to play. Once I got to the levels where the Destroyer Vega became available, the tide completely changed. I can’t level up, I can’t complete the dailies, I can’t win any battles (even at higher levels than the Destroyer Vegas) and even if I spend Celestium currency to cycle to a different opponent, I get matched up with a Destroyer Vega 10+ times over until I finally give up and fight and lose. This ship should not be out performing ships at higher levels, every single time. It is so overpowered that even with the better ships as better tech, it destroys. There is a level of disparancy that is unfair to players who have chosen NOT to pay money to play and have chosen NOT to pay money for the ship. I’ve seen responses on here from the devs that they’re working on the problem and that it should be fixed. Let me tell you, it is NOT.

Way To Hard plus WAY To unfair matching

So I’ve been playing this game for a few days or so at 1st it was easy and simple but it got so challenging to the point to where I cannot make any coins at all and loss after loss I decided the game was a waste of time so please make alternate ways to make coins/credits because it’s impossible to make any if your not good at this type of stuff the building part was pretty fun which I enjoy but it was just way to hard and I consider it a waste of time to play a round and lose plus waiting half an hour for your ship to be ! repaired and today I was a lv 11 earlier and a was being put up against lv 12 ships! That’s a level above me I talked to my friends about it and they agreed they game sucked I mean I’m a level 13 and I was matched against a level 14! He used mines against my ship this game is VERY unfair and is terrible at matching! It puts a higher level than me against me and when I lose I make NO credits at all so what’s the point of playing the game if I can’t play it! I hope this can be fixed but this game is getting 1 star until this is all fixed and the devs better not put down some copy and paste “Oh we are very sorry you hate our game thanks for your opinion!” This game was so fun at 1st and the matching fairness RUINED this game and the devs don’t do ANYTHING to fix it after all these bad reviews they just don’t care or do anything to fix it I consider this game a waste of time and money until they fix this

  • By Whoknewbab

This game has SO much potential but it falls short

They match you up with ships that are multiple levels above your ship! You strive to get a better ship but as soon as you get a better ship, they bump up your competitors so you are constantly fighting challenges that are out of your experience level. Then when you try to upgrade your weapons to be competitive, you cannot upgrade your weapons unless you purchase it with real money! I’m very disappointed and bored with constant losses! Don’t bother with this game!!! A waste of your time! Unless you want to spend money The developer is trying to write a response to make them look better but in reality there are multiple people stating the same concerns on this as I am. This company is greedy and if you don’t spend money then you don’t have a chance against people who do. On all of there responses I’ve read they try to say they’re working on it but nothing has been done! It’s just not fun when you get killed 99 out of 100 battles because you don’t want to spend money upgrading! Again don’t bother wasting your time with this game until they ACTUALLY address this issue. It will start out fun until you get into it a bit and then in the higher levels unless you pay money to upgrade your ship, you’ll lose over and over...
