Must big fish games are fun

The game is fun to kill time but characters move so slow don’t see the point of stamina if they move the same speed and the puzzle saving boring why not change up different puzzles or questions to answers I know the developers want to make money off the game and I’m sure it’s people who have some but there some who don’t so for every completed task why give stars and food give a diamond or two it won’t stop your money making. I downloaded the game again to try and complete it all but with the task time and keep them healthy it get boring and so mush items needed for one tasks. I’m giving it 5 Stars because it is a good game just why to much multitasking and more characters come in game so that’s a lot of people to keep healthy and collecting items and some task are for one or two different characters and the friends thing waste of time they stuck on island do it matter if they friends still need each other oh they should speak instead of having to read everything

Awesome game dynamics but needs calibration

I was pleasantly surprised with this game—it’s a great mix of plot, small hidden object games, match-3s, and general run-around-and-complete-tasks sort of thing. Totally wasn’t expecting to get hooked, but there’s a lot to do in this game and in so many ways, and the plot really keeps you going, so it’s quite difficult to get bored. My only complaint has to do with the match-3 games: it /seriously/ needs better calibration. I’ve been playing for a reasonable amount of time now, and I’ve been playing match-3 games for far longer, and yet this is the only match-3 I keep finding to make moves I never swiped for. Usually right next to the move I’d intended to make and was sure I’d swiped for. It’s happened too often to be a coincidence, and I don’t have gigantic fingers either. Like I’ve said, I’ve played numerous match-3s in the past and currently, and this is literally the only game this has been an issue for, so it’s definitely an odd one out. I tried remedying it by using a stylus for awhile, but that just became inconvenient and was honestly frustrating that I’d need to bring an extra tool around with me for one single game. That said, that’s really my only complaint. The rest of the game is very worthwhile. It just seriously needs that fix.

    Great time waster.

This game is great for all the times that you're bored out of your mind and want something interesting to play. I'm giving this a 4/5 though because the mini game you have to play every time you want to complete an objective or cook food is getting quite tedious and repetitive, it's a little harder to understand how you're supposed to get extra lives back if you lose in the mini game and I'd like to be able to earn more diamonds to upgrade stuff (since probably 75% of the player base for this game are younger people, they're not likely going to have the money or ability to pay for more diamonds in the store, yet trying to earn diamonds seems to also be really hard and is starting to get boring. However, on the flip side. The game runs great, graphics aren't bad, controls are really easy to learn and storyline so far has kept me fairly interested, bravo to the devs because it's hard to get me and keep me interested in a mobile app game longer than a few days or a week. I do wish you would make it so the lianas and branches stood out a bit more from the regular scenery though, it's a little difficult to find them mixed in with all the rest of the background.

I like the game so far .

So far it’s good ..... the jewel games are fun so far I haven’t came across any that is to hard to beat yet.... I'm on the second episode so far it has been entertaining for me to play . it keeps me interested and finding the hidden items and the hidden areas where other stuff are hidden is also a change for a game . The graphics are good a little cartoonish for my liking but that’s about all the negative things I can think of about the game . i am looking forward to going further into the island and trying to figure out the mystery of the island . For a free game I think it is a great game .you can spend your money on the gems but if you take your time and search and figure out where the hidden objects are then you won’t have to use your gems .so if you don’t use them then you won’t have to buy any. So like I said take your time and use your head and it might take longer but you won’t be using your own money which I personally think is a big plus . You could just download the app and try it out and if you don’t want it anymore then you could delete the game.👍it free so what have you got to lose. I’ll give an update later on as the game proceeds further hopefully I will be able to finish the game .

    In-App Purchases Are Necessary

The graphics are great even on a small screen like a iPhone XS. And the story line is interesting. However, the player has to play Match-3 every time there’s an action that needs to be completed. These are frequently is in sets of 3 where the final set has to be completed in so few moves that it is almost impossible to win unless unless you use power-ups or have to replay the set over and over again to advance. This can get annoying. The minimum number of crystals is 15 for $1.99 and it takes 10 crystals to buy 5 extra moves. So you’re basically paying a minimum of $1.33 to win each Match-3. The next set of 40 crystals is $4.99 and you can get 15 extra moves for 24 crystals which works out to $2.99. Another complaint is that you can’t take anything from one location to another. In the first location, I built up some food (because your characters can get hungry) so the crystals I used to upgrade my storage in the first location were lost when my characters went to the second and the storage reverted to 25 units. The game is fun but expect to either use a lot of patience or money to advance.

    Fun so far

Game crashes every once in awhile. Update: Game still crashes and I find the puzzle games odious and ridiculously hard (like a lot of other people I’ve played my way through most match three games, on Gardenscapes I’m at level 2193 so it’s not that I don’t like matching games), and so when I say they’re hard, I mean it. And you have to play them to move forward so game play ends up as one move, then 3 to 5(!) impossible games, then one thing and (oh, joy!) more stupid puzzles! This game is so much fun and I don’t mind puzzles, but mix it up people, give us some variety, let us doing something else, and for godsakes, quit making us play 5 games in a row! I get stuck on levels and it takes me DAYS to get through them. Not sure how much longer my patience will last. I spend a lot of money on games but the in-your-face greed with the difficult levels means I won’t fork up more than the few dollars I try to always spend to support games I like. Let’s hope they fix the crashes, offer some variety in game play and keep the levels coming. Otherwise I’ll go spend my money elsewhere.

The graphics are amazing, but the gameplay is repetitive.

The graphics are the best feature of this game. I’m enjoying the fact that we have a Ghost friend named Bob, and the fact that I can zoom in somewhat, but it could be improved. The text is small to me, and I think it would be nice to zoom in just a little more, so you don’t have to put your face right up to the screen. I know I’m not the only gamer with bad eyes. The gameplay itself is very, very repetitive. I understand there’s a certain amount of grinding and farming to “survive”, but the mini games are where the game takes a real blow. Match 3 Gems, and simple Seek and Find are the only mini games, and I definitely feel like the rounds are too short. I’m used to Match 3 Games where you have limited moves instead of limited time, so I keep habitually slipping back into sitting and studying before making a move, and I run the clock out. Overall, I think it is a decent attempt at a survival game, but I’d rather play a game with good content and cheaper graphics. The graphics shouldn’t be the best feature of a game.

I loved this game at first but...

The storyline is great but there are highly difficult match three games that are completely impassable that force players to pay for crystals to pass and I’ve read many complaints on this from others and one person already spent $25 and isn’t even as far as I am in the game. I find this highly unfair because players expect to be playing a free game to maybe spend a few dollars but not more than that to be able to complete the game. I believe that this game has done this to steal money from their players and I’ve contacted support and tried to talk to them about the issue and they told me I need to be more descriptive with my problems with the game itself. So it has become clear to me that the developers of this game don’t plan to fix the issue. They only plan to expand their pockets and continue to rob players. It would be more efficient if players were to have to pay a one time fee of $3-$5 to download and play the game rather than having to spend over $20 to even get halfway past the second location. I will be deleting this game if I can’t pass this five round match three game to go to the second location by 5 days. 5 days for 5 rounds, we shall see. Don’t waste your time on this game unless you want to spend a lot of unnecessary money.

    Frustrated

Enjoy this game BUT have been waiting for more than a year for the next level (moving onto the yacht) to become available. Went back to the beginning just so I can play but I think I’m going to find another game instead. It appears I didn’t hit send to post this review. Now, several weeks later I am on Level 24 and having the exact SAME problem as “Was fun...but then”. In order to move forward in the game one MUST complete a task that cannot be completed because the first of four puzzles upon completion goes into an endless loop. Obviously the developers put this game on the market and have not been able to stay ahead of the players. I love playing this game and was playing it before the “match three” games were added. I have reached the “end” completing all available levels, waited, watched, just to be disappointed that the next level still was not available. This problem named above was not a problem the first time I played through the tropical forest. The developers must not read or care about these reviews. They are spending more and more efforts creating additional ways to have us SPEND MONEY within the game than completing the game.

    Need improvements...

This game is good, addicting, and highly repetitive. However, I am giving it 2 stars for the following reasons. 1. It is expensive to play. You can barely beat some of the puzzles without using gems(in game currency). I had a situation where I used a gem and still lost that game. Some of the puzzles cannot be played without stats being full but if you're at the point where you haven't unlocked the pieces that will fill stats completely... You have to spend gems or stop game. 2. I was in the middle of playing the game and my phone died. It reset the entire level of the game for me. I spent money on the game. I haven't not heard back from the development team on whether this can be resolved or not. I am not happy with losing an entire level of progress. The time, money spent and lack of reply from the dev team is why I gave 2 stars. I hope to hear from them soon or at least get a refund of the money spent and wasted on progressing a level that is no longer available to me. Started over... still buggy.... 2 years later still lost progress and no refund. Game still requires money to advance.

    STUCK- game play error

This game is addictive, incredibly so. The storyline is fun and quirky, and I’m enjoying the challenges. I would love to continue playing for hours on end, unfortunately I can’t; through no fault of my own, mind you. There seems to be a glitch in the game involving items needed to complete a quest. These items are located near the main location for another quest (the “dance floor”) and anytime I attempt to pick them up, I am redirect to the dance floor. Not a huge problem, just complete the dance floor quest first, right? Except, I have to complete the first quest in order to obtain the items that I need to complete the dance floor quest. It sounds confusing, but I promise you, it’s incredibly frustrating. A quick internet search revealed that I am not the only person experiencing this problem. I love this game, I really do. I want to be able to continue playing (even if I do tend to spend the majority of my life on this game atm), but if this isn’t resolved quickly, I’ll be forced to abandon my adventure. I’m stuck, and I don’t want to be. *I have emailed support, and if the issue is resolved in a timely manner, my review will be updated

  • By Am I doing something wrong?

    Deleting the app again

I came back to the game thinking everything would be calmer with the 3 matching games. And honestly it’s only gotten worse. I literally spent a couple years away from the game and then decided today to give it another try. Though I was greatly disappointed to know that my progress has drastically repeated and sent me to the beginning when I was in the third area of the game. Oh well, at least I have some progress in the game since I didn’t have to find anyone this time. However, once I found out that I literally have to play mini-games to COOK! I thought that yeah a real waste of my time. I remember that the game was a timer based game and it literally took maybe a minute to half an hour to cook for some recipes. I rather that then spending my time playing a candy crush game whenever I wanted to feed the characters. It’s too tedious. Also are there any veterans who remembered this app being 4 and a half stars? I do. Now it’s almost at 4 stars. Really depressing on how this awesome game took a turn for the worst. I mean the mini-games are fine if they were only placed in important parts of the game or stories. Then it wouldn’t be so redundant. But it’s literally everywhere and it gets old really quick. Sorry creators. You made a bad decision on your part. RIP to the game that could have been awesome. ☠️☠️

Play Bejeweled or Candy Crush instead

I initially really enjoyed the game because of the compelling storyline but the gameplay is ridiculously repetitive and becomes insufferable by the third chapter. To make any progress you have to play 3-5 rounds of Bejeweled-esque games just to complete simple actions like filling up a water bottle and then 3-5 more levels to give the now-full water bottle to someone. Now I probably wouldn’t have minded as much since I enjoy Candy Crush and am quite decent at it (level 200+) but the rounds in this game get increasingly difficult with fewer seconds on the clock that make it near impossible to finish without spending money on power-ups. In this game alone, I think I’ve easily played over 200 rounds, not all of them successful. I’ve spent ~$10 because I really wanted to finish the story but I’m uninstalling because I don’t think any player wants to dole out money for a chance to succeed at what should be a side feature of the game. Spending money on gems doesn’t even guarantee you’ll progress thru the levels, which is yet another annoyance. The gems I bought were purely out of frustration and spite because I always ran out of time during the Bejeweled parts. The story is undeniably intriguing but ultimately isn’t worth feeling preyed upon by the devs/financiers who are milking players who are invested.

    So far, sokay

Was obsessed with this game. Even became fantastic at beating the bejeweled games. Then, it happened. As soon as I got ahead of the game: was able to stock up food on multiple levels and max out storage, the game crashed. I did EVERYTHING - restarted, reset, hard reset, deleted and reinstalled the app/game. Nothing worked. I began a new game, seemed everything was going fine. Logged into my account to continue my previous game and suddenly the game crashes yet again. I've tried all of this on multiple devices. After spending far more money on gems than any sane person should, this is how my loyalty is appreciated? By having the game shut itself down if I get too far ahead? I've contacted tech support through several modes of communication and have been auto-responded that G5 is out of offices until January 8th. I'd love that job. However, I'm a teacher and this WAS my stress relief. As of January 8th I will be pushing for this to be fixed pronto OR I will be demanding my money back. All of it. Unacceptable and ridiculous. *****UPDATE***** - NEVER received ANYTHING: Communication, compensation, or a fix. Have started over as of March an entire year later just to se did t happens again. Will NOT be spending ANY money to get to the same level, but at least I have a plan and knowledge now. If it happens again, God help the makers.
