Good game
I just started playing, so I really can’t say if it’s a 5 star game. But, so far, it’s been pretty fun. I’ll update this when I feel like I can give a better review Update: If your familiar with G5 games, then you’ll quickly feel at home with this game. It starts out simply, but gets increasingly harder. You collect items to combine for a collection and to get prizes. It’s exactly like most of all their games. What I do like about this one is the story line is cute and there isn’t a timer. I hate timed games. I play to relax not be under stress to beat a timer. So... I think I’ll keep this one for awhile. It’s been a great way to unwind and kill some time.
Endless Fun & Entertainment
I play all of the G5 Mahjong series- this one, pyramid of mahjong & emperor of mahjong. They are all sooooo much fun! These games are filled with endless hours of relaxation, using your brain to complete tasks & keep busy during this topsy-turvy time w/ Covid-19. I’m enjoying every moment playing each of G5’s Mahjong series with the fun filled events they have also. I’m so happy I found my new favorite game(s). ☺️ Thank you G5 for being a reputable, enjoyable, excellent game site. Your games never let me down & I’ve been a loyal member since 2008 when I played Sims 2 castaway. I’ll continue to be a loyal member to a great gaming company who uses the best graphics & content for eternity.
I have been using this game as my daily therapy !
Love this game and I have got several people to start playing this game with me! I am pretty much house bound due to my being diagnosed with advanced Parkinson’s disease and dementia, and so I don’t have A lot of things that I can do with my time, but since I have been able to find this game, it has really been a great help for my hand-eye co-ordination exercises that I am doing every day, and this game has been perfect for those exercises that my physical therapist has been telling me that he is wanting me to be sure and do every day or two……. Thanks for giving me something that is not only fun but I’m doing the same thing S as far as the exercises that my P.T. instructor is wanting me to do I think that this has been a blessing from the Lord to me, because I haven’t been able to find another game like this one that has also had the approval of the medical profession who has given me the O.K. To continue playing this game!! Thanks for your time, May God bless you and yours!! K.S. OHIO
Excellent Game!
I rarely write reviews but I decided this game deserved it. I didn’t expect much when I first installed it because I played other mahjong games and hadn’t found one that I could stand. But this game is excellent. There are no ads so you can actually sit and play and relax at the same time. It has goals to keep you busy which I like alot. Also you can actually play for free without having to buy anything if you choose not to. I really love it and hope the developers don’t change a thing except add more story and goals etc. Thank you developers for making a truly enjoyable game😎💟
Initial input is rushed
Thank you for a fun game! As a new contestant in this game it seemed that the initial explanations were too close together, and came long before there was any gaming experience to provide substance to the explanations. Perhaps allow clicking on the icons to provide another opportunity to learn about the feature after one has played for a bit of time. Also, when being introduced to the tools...the game program demands the player use the tool to learn about it. It seems unjust to “charge” the player for the use of that initial tool. Thank you.
What if you don’t have any friends to invite to play this game!!
To whom it may concern: l’m an older person that has a disability of a bone disease that only 5% of all women in America can get. At night I take care of my dying parents, so I at this moment in my life, doesn’t have the time to have my friends or make new one’s (the virus keeps that one done for until a cure is developed) So my point is I can’t get the 5 rubies unless I have friends and that really isn’t fair!!! I still gave 5 stars for a rating, I’m hoping in the next 6 months a cure is developed and I can get my rubies 🤨
What you love without what you hate
This has the great playability of Mahjong Emperor without the frustrating glitches, and unlike Mahjong Pyramid, the tiles are not overly complex (and no irritating horns after each game - but the “Yeehaw” did get turned off later). Full player visit function, and plenty of space for expansion. Good storyline with opportunities for many future events. I hate myself for liking some of the music though (“We have both kinds of music, Country AND Western!” 🤣).
MahjongSheriff
I am truly liking this game. I started out by playing the Mahjongg Empire game and then I was on Facebook this morning and an ad for this game came up. As I really liked the other mahjong game I have been playing I decided to download this one. I am very happy that I did. Have been playing for over 3 hours now and fully intend to keep on playing. Thank you for this game. I look forward to many more games from G5!
Hey, this GAME is a great surprise!
I’m saving the last star for later. I hope the game stays just as it is. I am enjoying it immensely! WHY? Because so far, there are no timers, no ‘lighting’ pieces to push you to hurry, the music is comfortable, the game theme is different and interesting, it hasn’t cost me a dime (yet) ; no one has asked either! The Tiles are regular objects and easy to see....There are no ads....I select a goal, the screen does its thing and I sit back and choose my tiles to play. LISTEN: they carry the rules of Mahjong very strictly. There are helps and prompts available, but I’m afraid THAT will cost. You can complete every game without them! No rush, by watching the shadows on the tiles, ie, is this tile open? ***The only PROBLEM is that I cannot sign in. The G5 computer has decided they already have someone using my email (me, from past games...), and so I cannot get extra points by inviting friends....(and I WOULD invite my friends...this is a good game).....it HAS my birthdate, but is being an unintelligent, programmed badly, tin can! And my posts are being ignored, so far. ***Wanna earn that last STAR, G5......?
It tries hard, & mostly succeeds
Much like Emperor of MhjongIt’s a fairly good, yet challenging game. As it gets harder, you’re tempted more & more to buy extra helpers, but I haven’t in a long while. Emperor has recently added monsters, & something like that would be welcome here. The special quests are fun, & give you lots of those helpers, but they are almost impossible to completely finish, but they usually give you an hour of unlimited energy if you fail. I started plsying the Egyptian new a while ago, & just couldn’t get into it though. The ads you see after a quest sometimes are usually less than 10 seconds, so not that annoying. The only other qualm I have is that you need energy o attempt a specific quest in a specific building. You don’t win back what you put in for the attempt, so that can limit your play time. Add trying the same one 4-5 times, & that energy goes by in a hurry.
New Event
This is a great game, but it is also a little frustrating at times. The events, the collections, the people, and the town are so much fun. I’ve tried for several days and have gone through hundreds and hundreds of tickets to finish the event. I’m trying to reach Level VI and it says “In Progress” no matter how many times I clear a puzzle. It seems there is no way to achieve Level VI. It’s definitely a pay to win game. I’ve spent too much money trying to reach the elusive Level VI. Maybe it doesn’t exist! I reached the end of one event and ran out of time on another. I was determined to finish this one, but I give up! If anyone has any tips on how to finish this current event, I’d be so happy to hear them! Good luck!
Frustrating
I like the game but have yet to be able to finish one of the monthly stories. This makes me want to delete the game. It’s also frustrating that there are no tips on how to finish the game. What pieces to use or what they do. What’s the point of these ‘collections’ if you don’t know what to do with them? For instance what good is the ‘freeze’ button? When you progress along in the story and each play costs 25 tickets, it takes forever without a purchase. When you finally get the tickets, win the game and no progress, you have to start over and play 2 more games just to get enough tickets to lose again. At least with Mahong Journey you have ways to keep going and know what the collections are for. This game has become anything but relaxing. Unless you are ready to fork out $$ for diamonds and tickets, you will only get so far. I personally am tired of playing the story and never being able to finish it. It seems like you’d have to have some booster or be able to play for hours every day to even come close.
Great game keeps freezing
I am enjoying the mix of mahjong and building. The problem I’m having is that the game uses A LOT of power which makes my iPad hot and run out of power pretty quickly. Also, I’ve been having the problem of the game freezing. So far the only way to restore is to shut down and restart, which loses progress on that play and the “demands” paid. I’m trying this time to see if I can just wait. So far it’s been over 15 min and while the game responds periodically (ever couple of minutes one thing changes) - it’s pretty much frozen and I may give up and restart soon.
Probably better for certain personality types?
If you have lots of patience and can strategize well, you will love this game. However, I think the less you have of these traits, the more frustrated you will become. It’s very disheartening to get 15 minutes or longer into a level and then end up with no more moves! (And no money to buy gems to get a reshuffle.) I keep trying but after losing several levels in a row, I give up for the rest of the day and come back later. Just something to consider before downloading this game, especially if you’ve never played mahjong before.
