Love THIS GAME!!!! But be prepared to get your time taken over by this game

Great game been playing since 2012 and have won 2 different worlds. This is a game you can play without spending money. You just have to learn quickly and use your resources wisely.... there is a ton of internet help out there to get you started and I hope y’all enjoy the have as I have. I do spend money but only when I play from a pc. If I’m only gaming from my phone I do not spend $ at all. There are so many extra features when you log on from a pc that the phone app doesn’t have 😟. Better $ packages and events are the two thinks app players don’t get that prevents me from spending on the app. All that said if your looking to spend time playing a game this one will take all your free time. See you on the map!!!! BP ANONYMOUS

    Good game for light spenders

This is a P2W individually, BUT F2P players can snd do play a major role in helping their alliance. And this game is more alliance based than all the modern ones out there that look better on the surface. It’s a great game. But can be intense. Night protection can really help on the sleep front. So choose one of those worlds if you like your sleep uninterrupted. A real strategic game with many dimensions... but yeah, cant ignore. Not for snowflakes.

    Oh so addicting

I’ve played Grepolis on and off for about 5 years now, started playing with my girlfriend and her brother and it’s easily one of my favorite multiplayer games (as a fan of strategy.) i just recently got back into it after years away and it’s refreshingly new yet retains everything I loved about it. Dark Moon Kingdom is coming to the US servers, so good luck out there!

    Awesome Game

This is easily, by far THE BEST idle game I’ve ever played. Please, do yourself a favor and get this game. The mobile app is definitely worse than the browser, though. The browser game has a lot more features. Play on the browser when you can, but the mobile app is still awesome and great for playing not at home.

Fun Game to play and waste a little time

A friend of mine got me started on this game. Initially when I started, things moved pretty quick, so I was always checking things on my phone to see how every thread shaping up. Then as you build yourself up, things take much longer to build up. For me, that’s fine. I’m not spending my real money on the game just to level up my stuff faster. Some people do that and that’s cool. I just won’t because like I said, it’s a game. If that means I lose being attacked because my walls weren’t a level 40 because I didn’t spend money to build them instantly.......ok. All in all, it’s a good fun game. It will cause you to waste a little time playing it but it’s all good.

    App review

Game itself is addicting have been on and off it for 3-4 years just jumped back on because it’s a lot easier to mange the game on a phone app and it has definitely come a long way from the browser version. The new app is easy to use and manage your cities, very easy to find everything and the graphics are good enough for a phone app, only giving a 4 star for the minor bugs I experienced screen freezing tabs opened but the game sees then as closed.

    Back again

Played in the past and back again! Enjoy the game very much. I don’t spend money so it can cause a slower growth and at times you become a target. That is part of the fun for me. Biggest issue is I realize this is a game to play mostly on the computer, but since can use mobile need to create a better version for the mobile app. Some things can’t be done on mobile or as easily. Do love the game!

    Amazing!

This game is amazing! But there is one thing the devs need to fix: the favor and resource generation time, it takes 4 days for my level 5 temple to get full flavor please change it to about one day. I don’t understand why they made the resource and favor regeneration time so long. This review would be 5 stars if the resource and favor generation time was shorter.

    Gold spending

I’m going to leave what is going to end up being the best review here. Essentially the game is extremely fun and I would say fairly close to being balanced, however with most free games such as clash of clans for example, you have the ability to spend money to improve your experience. (Big shocker it’s how the studio makes money). With that being said, if you’re not willing to use mommies credit card or throw your wallet (such as myself not being retired and having a wife and kid to take care of) it can be rather annoying to spend time on something just for it to be taken away by a dude who threw down 200$ at the beginning of a server. I’ve been in very good groups prior and made it pretty far, I’ve never seen the amount of gold spending that I’ve seen recently on this game. Maybe the normal and casual playerbase for this game is gone and that leaves only the weirdos in their mothers basements or retired guys trying to pass their time but if it had a feature where one world had zero gold allowed or something this game would be 5/5 stars. Great game still and definitely recommend trying it out, just don’t expect to get very far if you aren’t throwing down that cheddar.

    Veteran Dissatisfied

So have been around this game since the start. However, after years of playing, I am finally becoming dishearted about the game. The player skill set should not be based on how much money you have. The game has turned into who has more money to throw away. I refuse to keep throwing money in to keep up with players who have pockets miles long. The reality of the matter is if your not using gold then you will not progress in this game. A lot of players realize that and have quite. Even now if you're not spending well over $500 your not able to keep up. I respect the fact you need money, but it will be hard with no fan base to make money.

    Meh

The poor: At startup, it forces iPad services to display, and then I must dismiss it, so poor time of startup. Then, the initial note to the user goes away with the title page, so can not be read. Within the game, getting materials OUT of “Store” (vs using them) is not understandable - I still can’t figure it out. Other aspects could also use a pop up help display. As a side note, I also tried Elvanar, also 2 star meh. However, I do give FOE thumbs up - so I figure that these might have been early releases by the company - so I am not “down” on the co itself. The good: The game is interesting to me (take that as you will)! But will prob stop playing shortly (and continue with FOE).

    Corrupt and Dying game

Serious issues with moderators is causing worlds to die. I’ve played this game for years and the world size is a fraction of what it used to be when the game was good. In US69-Gonnos a single mod, Medic, used her power to gain revenge. This mod was a member of our alliance, but listed for internalization because she didn’t update forum posts and lost cities without asking for help. After her departure she personally targeted players in our alliance by banning g them from he game. She didn’t respond to support tickets, used her access as a mod to give information to other teams, and refused to take action on reports of players openly cheating by using bots. Her actions alone caused about two dozen veteran players to quit the game. If you want to play a game that allows cheaters and handles support unprofessionally then this is the game for you. Until these issues are resolved, I can’t recommend this game to anyone. It is a shame because I used to enjoy playing it.

    Alarms / Bugs

The app is very limited compared to the browser, which makes sense. However when the most important feature most players use the app for doesn’t work or partially works, it puts a big disappointment for the app users. More specifically the alarms. I understand there’s a way to glitch the alarms by sending multiple attacks. However the alarms need to be worked on and be more efficient. The system you guys have for alarms for app is still the same since 2015 which is terrible. Work on this and I promise this game will keep growing.

    Trash, coming from a Veteran

This game is dead, and is controlled by multiple factions of people who have played for years. There isn’t anything stopping a new player from being conquered by other alliances and all of their hard work shut out. There isn’t anything you can do to prevent your city from coming under attack and controlled by alliances who just simply want the island that you were spawned on. Pure trash, there should have been something that the developers could have done to make it new and returning player friendly. Complete garbage
