There is a mechanism to watch an ad and then receive “bonus gold,” but this is broken now. You are encouraged to watch the ad, but at the end you receive an error message and no reward. Rather frustrating as it’s worth while to watch a number of ads to accrued gold, so you can play for more than five turns (for example, if you are about to go on a flight). It’s dangerous to spend money on gold as one can immediately lose it all by accidentally tapping the wrong part of the screen at the wrong moment. Well timed pop-ups seem designed to encourage these accidental taps. There are also occasional bugs that will make it impossible to pass a level. These bugs have become fairly infrequent and only cost one turn. Otherwise a very enjoyable puzzle game for all ages, albeit with an aesthetic that is aimed at a young audience. (Currently on level 831)

I’ve been a daily player of this game (okay, an addict) for quite some time. I’ve made it to level 812. And now I’m stuck because the app is no longer rewarding 5 gold pieces for every video watched. The only way to pass many of the very difficult levels when you get this far is to use gold to buy boosts. The app used to award 5 gold pieces for every ad watched up to a max of 100 gold pieces per day. Sometimes it would take 300 or more gold pieces to buy enough boosts to beat a level. Starting sometime in December 2017, the gold piece awards changed to only earn 1 per ad watched up to a max of 3 pieces per day. Now I’m stuck and honestly bored. I don’t have the patience for that. Until the gold awards go back to normal, won’t be using this app much. Update 5/9/19: Level 585 is broken. It’s supposed to have a blaster but it has a time stopper instead (useless on this level). This has been broken for a long time and is preventing me from getting to the next island on my second device. Please fix it.

I have fun with this game, but starting around level 200 or within the last month, (not sure of the cause or exact moment this started) if I try to earn extra time or extra moves at the end of a game by watching an ad, the moves are frozen when the video is over and the game returns. I can’t tell you how many games, free bombs, and minutes I’ve wasted trying to get a couple of free moves to work. It isn’t every time either... so I’m suckered in to giving it a try when I’m close to completing a level. Other buttons work, like buying gold, pause, and choosing free icons-but then I can’t use them. It’s pretty frustrating because it happens when I can see that one or two moves of the three free ones will get me to a level completion... makes it seem “on purpose”.

Have to agree with prior reviews in that this game is a great game but not honest in the way it is conducted. Gold bars are nearly entirely paid for & disappear or are extorted under the most dubious circumstances. I am so puzzled as to how I suddenly requested extra time to complete a level at an extraordinary price!! It happens frequently when I am quite sure I did not authorize any purchase! So sad because it's a wonderful game & so much fun to play!! It's quite ingenious but just not fair to the person who is playing & paying. I am pretty sure this will never appear on the review roster, but honesty is my life long quest. So just agreeing with most prior recent reviews. Will need to delete this game as soon as my purchases are used! Gosh, so sorry to see so many others in the same boat!!

Several items bother me, the increased amount of ads, didn’t mind when I could choose to watch them for gold rewards, but it seems like it’s no longer an option and these ads will come up and sometimes if you’re in a timed game waste some time because they pop up once you’ve started the game. The screen will freeze when you’re using extra time and you have the ability to win the game but the screen freezes on you, and leaves you dead in the water. Lastly, you win free items of a bomb or blaster and then you’re told your inventory capacity has been reached, when you don’t have any of those available for use.

I, like many people was addicted to this game. But as stated by other people doing reviews, the developers limit you. As others stated also, you get to the point where you’re finally going to get three stars for a level and the game locks up. Also as they stated you get a pop up during your game without a confirmation to purchase. Frustrating when you have worked on getting three stars or a few levels, and every time you get to where you will get the third star, because you only have one row left and 10 tries or whatever, the game has been locking up frequently on me. Obviously if it continues, I will find a new game

Have loved this game and still do, but... it seems like it wants to “make” me pay to move forward. Example: i passed a quest in 45 seconds with 1 min 15 seconds of time left. It gave me rewards for completing so quickly, but it gave me only 1 star out of 3 possible. Once again, I am stuck, unable to move forward, even though I completed a quest in amazing time. Will I be held up for 2 or 3 months, for the lack if 1 star, once again?! This makes me annoyed at a game that I have truly enjoyed playing every day for several years. Sorry, but I DON’T pay for phone games. Let me pass to the next level, already.

This is a game I’ve played for a long.... time. Probably one of my favorites until recently. I make quite a few in app purchases for gold because I really enjoy the game. My biggest problem is when I personally spend money to purchase gold, and then the glitches that have been occurring more regularly, takes at least 20 pieces of my gold tokens (when I refill lives) with every purchase I make. Up until now I’ve just accepted it. However, it’s beginning to become a constant occurrence. I can’t continue to purchase gold to just give away anymore. It adds up.

This used to be an awesome game but recently it’s become so buggy it’s a complete waste of time AND money! If you have the option of watching an ad to get a few extra seconds in a level don’t bother ... after watching the ad and returning to the game you cant do anything because the game freezes. If it freezes and then you decide to use your gold rather than waste more time watching another ad to get a few extra seconds, forget it! The same thing happens! At this point I’d advise you not to waste your time or money on this app. I’ve had it for years and until recently the developers seemed to take pride in their work and it was smooth playing. Bugs were fixed as soon as they were reported. That’s no longer the case and the bugs just keep getting worse. It’s clear they only care about making money because the bugs that should’ve been sorted out by now continue and they are 100% at the players expense! Unless you have an endless supply of patience, time, money avoid this app!

I used to play this game daily when I had a few minutes to kill here or there - now I routinely am told that “this is an Internet game, please connect to the internet to play” if I’m not on WiFi, and when I am, I get “oh darn, downloading” notices, so am unable to play about 4 out of 5 times I open the app. And agreed with other reviewers about the “difficulty” - I don’t pay for “upgrades” so will literally play the same level for weeks just to finally pass it (and in the meantime - when I’m so bored with trying to pass the same level, over and over - play games from other companies) then win the next level with three stars on the first pass. It makes no sense. Edited to add - oh yes: god help me if I forget to put my phone on mute before playing a round, those annoying ads everyone else complains about, PLAY SOUND AT FULL VOLUME with no warning. Scared the crap out of me a time or two, and would be EXTREMELY uncomfortable if I were trying to sneak a game in whilst somewhere public.

I love the opportunity to earn lives by watching a video, especially when I am so close to the end of a very difficult level. This sometimes works fine for the first round of “earn” extra time but this bug happens AND it takes away gold bars without letting you know it costs bars!.I can watch the video but then when I receive the few seconds of extra time, my screen freezes and will not allow me to do anything. After the allotted reward time, everything works just fine. Also, much of the time when you can watch a video to earn rewards the video can’t load at this time. Please fix! It was fixed very quickly the first time but not since! Thank you

After level 61, it's impossible to earn three stars in any level no matter what. In earlier levels sometimes it took me several tries to get three stars, but for 60 straight levels I was able to eventually get 3 stars for every level. However once passed the 61 mark, it becomes impossible no matter how high your score is. I've made it to the 90's and have yet to get a single three-star level. And I know it's not a matter of just getting low scores, because I just completed a mining level that I earned 30 layers out of 15, with a score of 553,100 and still somehow that was a two star score. Tell us how much it takes to earn three stars in every level, this just seems rigged.

Good game and fun, but it cheats. I'm on the higher levels and when I've gotten to where you get free stuff it won't give it to me because I haven't used the other free thing(s). I mean, why does it matter. Will be glad when I've finished all levels. Also, when you get to the higher levels, they're nearly impossible to pass and less you pay. I also know that it cheats because I have it on two phones, And I don't understand how I can look back on this phone and see what my score is but the top five is not the same. The top one or two are usually the same on both phones, but my scores are not on both phones. And it does cheat, badly! How can you be in first place and only have one star? That doesn't really seem fair. I have several games where I am in the lead and only one or two stars, it makes it very hard to get further in the game. I'm almost to the point of taking this game off both phones. It is a good and addicting game, but there's just too much that it doesn't let you do or takes away from you.

Yo... developers... what part about people liking to play games they can win did you miss?? This game absolutely blows now. I’ve been playing for about 7 years now. Obviously addicted. I’ve made it up to the 500 levels. However, the upper levels are impossible to beat without wasting money on boosters, so I’ve resorted to playing lower levels I’ve already beat just to see if I can beat my old scores. Which means I’ve played (and beat) many many levels, many many times. The app forced me to update about a week ago. Since that time, I can count on 3 freakin fingers how many times I’ve been able to win. I can no longer beat levels I’ve beaten too many times to count in the past. The loser developers obviously changed something that’s made this game a waste of time anymore. So don’t bother... move along... nothing to see here anymore, folks!
