As said in so many of the other 4 and 5 Star Ratings, this is really a fun game which works well to pass some relaxing idle moments. Yes, both a puzzle and a word game combined in one. If you are having difficulties, it provides hints at the 2 and 4 minute mark to ease the frustration. I play their highest level free level which is labeled MEDIUM and enjoy the challenge. There are two additional levels which you can purchase and also avoid the ads that come at the conclusion of each game. I simply mute my sound and "X" them out. Overall still a 5 STAR AP by my standards. If you have played SCRABBLE in the old daily newspaper, You'll love this SCRABBLE STYLE GAME and the added JIGSAW TWIST.

For the regular puzzles, you put jigsaw pieces together to make words. You only need to make words horizontally. For the daily puzzles, you need to make words horizontally and vertically. Also, all of the pieces are the same shape (cubes). I prefer the daily puzzles to the regular puzzles and wish that the regular puzzles resembled them. Two other wishes: (1) the option to turn off the timer and (2) landscape orientation for iPads. It’s annoying to have to rearrange my iPad from how I use it 95% of the time. I also lose the prop-up feature of my case because that only works in landscape. Note that this game does not have a “level select” screen. The plus is that you jump right into a game without having to navigate to and select your current puzzle. The minus is that you don’t have any goalposts. You don’t know the total number of puzzles, and you don’t know what your progress is (20% done? 50%?). I kinda miss knowing that. Lastly, there is a typo on the daily puzzle instruction screen (“accross” instead of “across”).

This is one of my favorite games apps that I have. I mostly do the daily challenges but not every day so I haven't had a problem with days not loading. I can never actually do all 3 challenges because of time so I just go back to an old day I didn't finish and play that. The various difficulty levels keep it interesting. I've even learned a few new words on the hard one. It's a lot of fun figuring out which word it could possibly be when you only have three letters together. I never feel like I'm wasting time because it's a learning game at the same time. I highly recommend! 👍🏽

Totally enjoy this word puzzle, especially having the choice between three difficulty levels. Just a moment or two, and I opt for easy. When there is a bit more time to relax and enjoy the game, go for hard. I do laugh at the fact that sometimes on the vertical words it takes me a moment to realize what the solution word is after I have filled it in. Have not missed one of the daily puzzles since I started playing the game and I appreciate that if you do miss a day, the puzzle remains available for play.

This and Word Solitaire are the only games that I play much. I just discovered this one a few days ago and I’m already in love. It’s endlessly fun and challenging. I mostly play the medium size, tho i’ve paid to unlock the larger ones - I think they’re the perfect size for a quick game. What I like is that I can solve some of them in 30-45 seconds and some of them take three or four minutes. If they were all too easy, it would quickly get boring, and if they were all too difficult it would get discouraging.

I just started playing a few days ago but I haven't been able to put it down! I love having something to do with my hands instead of just staring at a bunch of jumbled letters and trying to find the words hidden in them....just staring, with nothing else to do....YAWN. This game is fun & challenging and has many different levels of difficulty that you can switch back and forth to so you're not just stuck at one particular level. I really like that versatility because some days I like to play it "easy" and a bit more relaxed.

This is just challenging enough, & you never run out of new puzzles to do. After doing the horizontal puzzles for years, I just noticed the daily crossword-style puzzles (are they new, or am I that unobservant?!) and they're great too. This is one of my favorite apps for word games. I'm adding to my review, months later, to say that I love the daily crosswords more than ever, three new ones every day-- one easy, one medium, one difficult. I do them all, I look forward to 5pm every day, which is when the new ones appear on the east coast of the u.s.!

This game is very addicting! Wish there was an option to play crossword puzzles more than once a day because they are my favorite! I would like an option to hide the timer because I don’t use it. I always choose the hard daily crossword and the giant word puzzle and stick with it until I figure it out! I don’t use hints either because there is no challenge in that!!! This is my favorite game app!

I don’t really enjoy the main game on this app... I find it kind of boring and that is why I only gave it 3 stars. However, the Daily game is awesome. It is one of my favorite games. If I could download just that part of the game I would want to give it 10 stars. I am bedridden and so I really need some good games to take my mind off things and the Daily game is fun and engages my mind. It is one of my go too games on hard days.

Nice, simple, and focused on the word puzzles. All there is too it, on the free version the adds appear like every three rounds or so, less annoying than most apps. Gonna buy it soon cuz I want to get the extra levels. Have had this game for almost a decade, and it has stayed the same in regards to ads only popping up every three rounds or so. Something I appreciate that things don’t change unnecessarily.

An excellent combination of word & jigsaw puzzle entertainment! Very challenging, especially as the size of the board increases. Have seen others complain about ads, but the full (ad free) version is only $2.99, and doubles the puzzle volume! I really enjoy the daily crosswords as well, & would like to see more of this style of content added. Worth every penny for hours & hours of entertainment!

Love the puzzles and the challenge they provide. The biggest challenge is the placement of the first tile. But your hints are helpful. I have one major complain and that there are days that I don’t have time to do the puzzles and you remove them. Also yesterday was crazy and I finally was able to work on the puzzles at 9pm and you had already removed them and had only the next day available. Not a good change to your puzzles process. Not pleased at all and I am sure I am not the only fan that is disappointed.

I am about to throw this one away. I have loved it for years. I forgot about it when I brought my games to a new iPad. I came across it and played it a bit and started saying nasty things. Every few moves an ad would pop up. It would wait a bit before offering the ‘x’ to get rid of it. Argh! Where is the fun in that? I am adding to this review because I can’t figure out how to start a new review and I agree with this one soooo much. This was a favorite game for me. I was always showing friends how to play. They could start out slowly and grow to the larger shapes. Now, the little amounts wanted and how often they are asked for is so irritating! If you want $5 for me to purchase the game, I have a one time irritant. If you want $25 to purchase the game, that is too much for me and I will just forget it. If you keep popping up as I play and interrupting my game, I will warn others and I will stop playing. Kendall

I really enjoy this game and think it is a great mind game to play when you have a moment to chill. I look forward to playing it but when there are skips in the dates or it gives me a game for a day ahead it makes it really annoying. Went to play it today and the puzzles for the 29th are not there. It seems to skip random dates. If I miss a date the puzzle for that day is missing. Would be great if the dates were right and refreshed properly. When it skips dates it is very frustrating. You can’t go back and play a date you missed.
