Honestly I don’t ever write reviews but I just played “Dancing Line” and after deleting it and then opening back up my bakery story account I felt a new appreciation lol. I used to play bakery story in 2013 when I first got an iPhone and I loved it but I stopped playing it and any other game I had downloaded due to wanting to spend less time on my phone and needing more storage space. I downloaded it again recently and it’s exactly the same as it always has been which makes me happy. The reason why I mentioned the app dancing line is because the ads on that app suffocate you. Bakery story is nowhere near as bad. If you get an ad it’s not a video you’re forced to wait through for 30 seconds every single minute you spend on the app. If you watch videos they are by choice. Ontop of that, dancing line made me feel really stressed because I had to keep repeating levels to progress forward. Bakery story isn’t like that, you can move at your own pace and continue and not be stuck in a loop. There are neighbors to socialize with, cute details, fun goals... overall I just love the setup of bakery story and how calming it is to play. Hopefully it continues being on the App Store for a long time.

I like the challenge to complete the goal in 15 days as it makes you use your time wisely in order to meet the goals and get your recipes up to level 4 before the fifteen days are up. It really helps when your neighbors are helpful in returning parts you request. I have talked with people from all parts of the world and this keeps me coming back for more interaction. From a good fan.....I thank you. I also like when you bring back the use of old stoves and just add new recipes as it makes it easier to reach the goals when you already have the stoves. A nice change of pace. The only change I would make is not to limit 20 gifts per day. If you have 40 neighbors you should be able to receive 40 gifts. I have many neighbors overseas and because of the time difference am unable to gift daily as they have already maxed out when I start tipping and gifting. Each neighbor should be able to gift daily and respond to gift requests daily. So if you send gifts and respond to gift requests with 40 neighbors you should be able to get 80 gifts daily. I believe this would eliminate some of the concerns about meeting goals in 15 days.

Ahh bakery story . I’ve been playing bakery story on and off for over 5 years . I love this game and would recommend it to anyone !! I love that you get to choose to watch ads for diamonds , to speed up your food , or for extra coins . It is so fun to decorate your bakery . Some things are expensive and you have to save up for , but that’s part of the game ! I love that you can add neighbors and visit there bakery’s when ever you want . It’s a little frustrating that you have to go through and tip every one , but once again it’s just part of the game . There is also goals you can do with a short amount of time , so when ever there is a goal you find yourself always on the game . But the goals are just an option . I love bakery story because it doesn’t require constant play . You can play whenever as long as you cook your food for the right amount of time . One thing I would love to see is more foods with higher coin worth . Most foods give you about 4 coins per serving . It would be helpful if foods had higher coins so you can make money faster . But overall I love bakery story !!

If at all possible, I would add a way to “turn off” the ability to receive goal parts for players who do not want to receive them. Like an auto-reject feature that we get when a player has received the maximum gifts for the day. Many neighbors will complain about not getting the gift they want but don’t bother to communicate on the wall of their neighbors. I also agree that the goals require a lot of effort yet the reward is not even close to covering the amount of currency spent participating in the goal. In the end, I just acquire one goal oven for the recipes and reject any goal parts I get afterwards. Unfortunately players rack up more neighbors than they can manage and “mass gift” to all. I do my best to send food to those who don’t communicate their needs with me and visit neighbors to see if they are doing the goal or have finished. Otherwise I read their wall if I have time to check what they are asking for. I have my neighbors write on my wall when their needs change. It’s a pretty fun app if you don’t have several commitments like a full time job or family obligations. I got back on it when quarantine began.

This game has been a favorite of mine for years. I loved the creativity of others and how cute everything is. However recently the app has become annoying. The ads used to bug me but now I feel like I’m not always bombarded by them. I’m happy to say that the app no longer crashes for me. The major issue I have right now started with the recent update from a few weeks ago. Full screen support was added. This, I had no problems with. Except for one thing. When you visit a neighbor, the star rating bar used to be in the bottom center of the screen. Now it’s been moved to the bottom left. This wouldn’t be an issue except that now the star rating bar covers the Menu button that is in the bottom left of the screen. Idk if that’s just a problem for iPhone users but it’s quite aggravating and it makes tipping neighbors a hassle since it’s so hard to click the menu button now. I hope the developers see this and fix the problem. Everyday it bugs me and I’m just about ready to quit the app. It would be sad for me to leave since I love the app but this problem is very annoying.

I’ve been playing this game for years. It’s the only game on have on my phone. I’ve downloaded several games but I end up deleting after a couple of weeks. This game has been on my phone for years now it’s crazy how a person can get attached to something. I know some people that download the game and delete right away. They say it’s to time consuming. I don’t see how haha. I mean all you do is decorate your bakery, tip your friends and bake your goodies. Then wait for your “cha-ching” bell to ring and go collect your food and $$. I guess people have different taste. Lol. I have about 200 friends I play daily and gift and play all goal parts. Only bad thing about me is I don’t post on other’s walls I tip their tables but won’t let them know I do lol 🤷🏻‍♀️. I gave this game stars but quickly deleted it and gave them only for the reason is they need to make a “ select all “ button. I have to many friends to be clicking them one by one when I gift them. Soooooo creators of this game. Make my gaming a little easier by adding a select all button when gifting items. Please pretty please lol. Other than that this game is awesome.

I’ve been playing bakery story since I was a lot younger, like since I was 8 or 9 years old. Now I am 15, and I decided to open up the game again. And can I tell you, I played it so much, until recently when there started to be a few bugs/annoying things that have been happening within the game. The first thing that I noticed is that once you are in the game and click on a few things, the music just stops playing. The sound effects are still there, but the music just goes away. One of the main things that was really calming to me about the game was the music, so that Is really disappointing to me. Also, the ads. The ads can be really annoying, especially since once you go to click on a stove to bake something, an ad just immediately pops up. So, overall, I know that I didn’t list a lot of stuff wrong with the game. And that is simply because there is not a lot wrong with the game, it’s a great game, but with a few bugs. I hope that the team sees this and can go to action to resolve these issues.

I’ve been playing Bakery Story off and on for for a while now, I’m back on the bakery wagon...currently at level 84. Here’s my issue. Every now and then there will be a way to get more gems by completing tasks by downloading and playing other games or completing request. I downloaded a game that promised 136 gems when I reached the requirement. When I did, I didn’t receive my gems. I filed a ticket and the company “Fyber” who just gave me the run around and never came through on their end. I sent them everything they requested, and nothing, when I said I was reporting them as a scam, they blocked me. I made a complaint through the BBB. there are many other complaints about the same thing that happened to me from other people. I’ll continue to play bakery story, but I won’t bother with trying to get extra gems ect. Also just an FYI...they’re are too many “ get later” pop ups, that interfere with the game. Please give an option to disregard them instead of clicking “get later”

I have been a fan of this app for a few years now. I have always loved it. It took me a bit to figure out how to time everything to finish the goal but somehow I have learned to master it, most of time. This past year I started counting how many pop up screens would show up when first accessing the app. The most has been 7 before you can even start playing! I think that’s a bit much. But while you start playing, some more promoting the game of the week pops up and if you are in the middle of something the next thing you know you’re on your way to the App Store to not download an app. What happen to the days where you saw the app on the side of the bakery and if you want it you click if you don’t, you don’t? Now things are way worse where as your starting to clear your baked goods you are forced to watch the same ad for the same app every time you are clearing the baking items. Why? I sometimes only have a few minutes to play on a break and i am stuck watching videos of an app that I don’t want and waiting for 7 pop ups to pass before I can do anything. Make it stop! I understand that the company is probably paid for advertising but must we watch it every time we enter the app? Every time? Ugh! I think it’s a great app but there are some things that are not enjoyable and I don’t know if anyone is really going to read this to do anything about it.

I’ve played this game on and off for YEARS and it’s been one of my favorite to to in my free time. I’m very loyal to this game, however, just like a lot of other people, i fell that there’s A LOT of stuff wrong with this game. It definitely appears to be an abandoned game still. I think I remember when they came out with Bakery Story 2 and such they had a message saying that they won’t come out with updates for this game anymore. I wish they would though, because it still is a great game overall. And can we talk about how you have to legit get 999,000,000 XP to get to level 100?!?!! Like that is just ridiculous. And there’s plenty of ads in this game that’s for sure. I’ve spent probably a total of $15 to get gems years ago because I do love this game. But like cmon. I think getting appliances should not be NEARLY this difficult to build too. There’s just so many irritating things that I feel like could be easily fixed, but they just stop caring about it. I wish I could volunteer to revitalize the game myself and do everyone a favor!! Because again, I still like this game a lot! I’d be infinitely grateful if Team Lava or whoever would make this game fun again!

First of all, I do enjoy this game. I’ve had it well over three years and have played on and off during that time. However, like I’ve seen many people pointing out, it just isn’t the same. The whole pop-up ad situation is quite annoying. I can be in the middle of serving my food and my game freezes and then proceeds to play a 30 second ad for a game or app. Which I can live with that, 30 seconds isn’t that long, I might be annoyed for a few moments but then I can exit out of it and go back to playing. The thing that really irks me though, is how I’m brought to the App Store to download said advertised game. I never click on anything but the ‘x’ so why am I being brought here to download it? Also when I go back into the Bakery Story app -after exiting out of the App Store- the game freezes and then kicks me out to my home screen. I then have to go back into the game wait for it to load, and go through more pop-up ads and videos. This is extremely annoying, and time consuming, especially when I’m just trying to check the game real quick before getting back to whatever I may be doing. PLEASE fix this!

I’ve been playing this game for years and overall, it’s not a bad game. I’ve always liked how slow-paced the game was, and they used to add new content almost every week. But, I guess with new management, it has gone through some changes that I don’t particularly like. For example, they shortened the goals from 30 to 15 days, which really wasn’t too bad until they later increased the need to have more parts to build appliances than you receive in gifts and requests from neighbors. I hate the change they made in the Bonus gems where they have these offers to sign up for stuff to get gems, instead of just viewing ads or trying games. Don’t know if that was an Apple thing or what but I don’t like it. Also, they don’t seem to care about fixing the “Processing ...” bug when the game will just get stuck “Processing..” and hang there until you force-close the game. This happens most when you return to the game that has been “minimized” and running in the background. Now, with this recent update, they force you to watch an ad when you try to serve your food. It hits you the moment you open the game and begin to play. That I do NOT like one bit and will try to reinstall an older version of the game. So, a decent 4-⭐️star game is now to 2-⭐️ game, thanks to indifference and maybe greed. I don’t know but I wish they had the old Teamlava crew, instead of this Storm8/Zynga(??) bunch.

this game is abandoned as it has been for almost a decade. there are no real programming improvements made for the users-the interface is the same ancient one it was back in 2012. the only improvement i have seen, done for players, is when they allowed single taps after a double for things such as collecting so-called 'tips' and the serving from appliances. If you have an issue your support ticket is auto-responded as "closed" because the game is not staffed. what a joke. And don't forget the down right wicked and sadistic nature of the developers with how they slam ads in your face and do things in ways that cause accidents to be done, from tapping an ad that slapped on the screen right before you meant to tap something else, to wasting gems/coins buying something the same way. This has gone on for almost decade and no fix, it is how they are. evil maniacal and intentionally so. there needs to be simple to program things that actually help players-things like a select all button to yes, come back. why you take it away? Search function for the insane-and-growing lunacy of parts? heck, at least have the food tabs here like in restaurant and working correctly-unlike like the breakfast one there. how about not auto-unselecting selected neighbors in the first few seconds of selecting? Remember, storm8/team lava-money gained dishonestly will dwindle away and when you wonder why you now know. Also, wealth won't deliver a single soul.

After playing for at least 5 years, I am done with this game. First off, they shortened the time frame for goals. They used to be 30 days and are now 15. I play this game in my FREE time so it takes me about a week to just gather all the parts I need let alone even start on the goal. I also noticed that the prices went up on all the goal items. Since I am maxed on levels and have millions of currency this is not really an issue for me, but to players just starting out or on lower levels it just doesn’t seem fair. Also, the “free gems” button (lets you watch 10 ads every 24 hours to earn 10 free gems) idk what kind of rig y’all did to it but I can never get past watching 5 anymore because it tells me the video could not load or something. So there go my free gems. And on the subject of gems, the final straw as to why I am deleting this game...There is a button for “Bonus Gems” that has other ways for you to earn gems. I picked the Lords Mobile one and the terms were to ‘reach castle level 12’ in the game and i’d be rewarded 167 gems for my bakery. Well I reached castle level 12 and got no bonus gems. I sent Storm8 ‘tickets’ (because apparently they do not resolve anything through emails) to try and resolve the issue and they kept closing my tickets. I just wanted to let everyone else know incase anyone else has any of these problems. And I also wanted to say how crappy the customer service is. & rant over.
