■Overview

Last released in 2008, The Last Remnant captured the hearts and minds of gamers with its enthralling story, countless characters and intricate battle system. Now this cult classic RPG is back with a Remastered version and is coming to iPhone/iPad with even more beautiful graphics, enhanced via an updated game engine.

The full game is included in your initial purchase and there are no additional purchases necessary.

■ Story

There exists a world woven together by four races: Mitra, Yama, Qsiti, and Sovani.

In this world, mysterious objects called "Remnants" have existed since ancient times. Who created these objects? When? And for what reason? No one knew nor had the means to know, but continued to extract and use their colossal power.

However, the Remnants' immense power gradually caused the world to fall out of balance. As further separation tore apart those who rule and those who follow, a war broke out―the beginning of a long and endless strife.

A thousand years later, this story begins.

■ Distinct Battle System

A command-style battle with ever-changing scenarios

Coming in contact with enemies on the field will trigger battles. Strategize and make full use of the commands that change constantly depending on the positions and state of friendly and enemy forces.

Morale of friendly forces greatly affects the outcome of battle

In battle, morale expresses the spirit of individuals and groups of both friendly and enemy forces. Higher morale has advantageous effects such as increasing the attack stat to deal more damage, or decreasing damage dealt by the enemy.

Seems to have no issues for me

I keep reading reviews about how it doesn’t load, or that it lags, maybe y’all need to update your phones! There’s a thought lol it runs smoothly on my iPhone XS, so I am going to make educated guess that y’all have older phones, this game isn’t really meant for older phones, so stop giving this a bad review because your hardware can’t handle the game!

A Console RPG on a phone 😍

Runs great on iPhone 8 iOS 13, haven’t experienced any crashes like others have reported. I hope square keeps porting these great games, one can only dream that they’ll port the infamous ffxiii as well one day, since this game came out during the ps3 generation, the future of mobile gaming looks very promising ^^ 🤞🏽

Great Hidden Gem Reborn

I’ve never heard of this game before its iOS and Switch releases. However, I took a gamble and am glad I did. This is a unique JRPG and reminds me of Chaos Rings III’s exploration mixed with Final Fantasy XII’s mood/setting/art. I’m enjoying what I’ve experienced in the first few hours. I hope this app gets support for a few years at least.

Great remaster

Fixed the error where the game stuck on the loading screen so I finally got to play it. Controls aren’t bad for a console port, and the combat is pretty unique for a JRPG. The graphics are beautiful, hasn’t been buggy at all for me.

Working on my iphone 11 but not working on ipad pro!!

I’m really enjoying this game on my iphone 11.... superb graphics amazing story ..but when I try to play on my 2019 ipad pro ios 13, is not even loading the game..

Would be 5 Stars, but controller issues.

1.) Controller Support (Minus 2 Stars) Simply put, the game is not optimized for iOS 13’s 3rd party controllers. In my case the DS4. 2.) Graphics Amazing for a mobile phone. Using the HDMI adapter to 1080p portable projector leads to no pixel blocks, and everything looks crisp. Cutscenes and in-game. No frame drops on iPhone X. 3.) Audio Great. Paired to two XB12 Bluetooth speakers; in left and right mode, makes for a truly immersive experience. Verdict: For me, controller support is everything!! I’m an avid backpacker, and camp often. iPhone + Pico Projector + 2x Bluetooth Speakers/AirPods are my set up. Please fix controller support!

Controller support lacking

Would like to give this game the score it deserves, but first I feel like I deserve what I payed for. I am not a fan of the onscreen controls and enjoy using a controller. Please fix the problems preventing it from working as intended. Everything else is pretty awesome so far!

iPad Pro issues

I haven’t had any crashing issues, I’ve had lag happen while moving around in the field and in cutscenes, more so in cut scenes. This really ruins the gaming experience, please investigate and fix.

You need to fix the controller support oort

The game seems to have a lot to offer but the controller support is awful considered the game was originally made for consoles. The cutscenes are very choppy and poorly done. When running using a controller you stop and start when moving, can’t even run straight, same goes for the camera. Menu’s don’t follow if your using the controller either. Critical triggers HAVE to be tapped and can’t be initiated via controller and the tutorials are only explained through touch controls. Please fix these issues. I spent 20$ on this and I won’t even continue playing it till these issues are fixed.

AMAZING GAME

I can’t believe a game of this caliber is out on iOS. I give this game 5 stars however the MiFi controller support is awful while non-combat. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max with Xbox Controller. Everything works however while moving around the joysticks only work for a quick second.

Makes no sense at all

This is game is not intuitive at all since the entire game you are trying hold back the battle rank growth so the enemy doesn’t one shot you with some lucky shot. No amount of grinding is going to help you defeat your most ardent foe Chance. Getting lucky for a win is not satisfying in the least. Don’t waste your money unless you can overcome the built in futility.
