Listen I played this game for 4 years now meaning I’ve been playing since the birth of this game and it was joyful during the first year or two. Then all the bug fixes screwed everything up. All the ogs lost their accounts and all their hard work. I was a level 351 on my account and lost all my stats! It was heart breaking and I was devastated. I just reinstalled this game and it’s still good but it does need a kink to it. See I when I reinstalled the game I instantly became a level 58 in 12 minutes of playing. I don’t know if it was my grinding tactics coming back to me but I leveled all my characters up to max level in 25 minutes. I don’t think starters should have the ability to max all their characters out at level 5. Also when your start and log in you get 200x of the level potions that level your character up 25x than the 1x level potion. See when I did that I then was able to 1 tap every single boss in main quests and extra quests. So if you could just not have the starters be more powerful than the people such as myself being an OG and a Professional Grinder of this game. That would be great. Over all it’s an amazing game and keep pushing out new updates.

I just want to start by saying after years of downloading and playing games on the AppStore, this game has become my favorite game of all time. I’ve played for over 100 days now and I don’t have many complaints. For people talking about the scouting prices, as long as you do the events there will never be a scout you cannot do at least once. Keep up with what’s going on and you will be fine. Only thing that’s bugged me about this game is the lack of team play/guild development. Guilds don’t feel like anything more then random players put together. I’ve been in my guild for over 30 days now and haven’t talked to a single member of it once. And it’s a full 10 person active guild. Maybe you can make a guild chat and increase the guild sizes to make it feel more like a community. Another thing please add a “stay in party” button in coop. It is the most annoying thing when you find an amazing party to have to leave and join again. Please make it so you can just stay in the party, would make farming so much more easier. That’s all I have to say for now, would highly recommend the game to anyone looking for a fun competitive time.

I absolutely love this game and it keeps me entertained for hours. One suggestion: I have a lot of upgrade crystals that are limited to certain characters that I am not able to use because I’ve already upgraded them to 5 star characters (so like with the recent Yuna that you could get through the event— I have 20 upgrade crystals for her but I can’t use them since I already made her a 5 star). Is there anyway to make it so that these upgrade crystals can be converted into other upgrade crystals (so either normal or maybe for current character events happening/ones that have just happened but already finished)? That would be great because I also have upgrade crystals for characters that I don’t have. Same idea with medal scouts— I have a ton of medals from scouts that I couldn’t use because I didn’t have enough to use them... anyway to convert those into something else? Again, I absolutely love this game and hope that you take these suggestions into consideration, thanks!!

Can you guys put a scout for anybody to get a free good character because it seems unfair for a noobie to look at peoples character and want that even if they don’t get it’s seems very unfair to me so can you put a scout to pick out a good character 4 star to 6 stars and a weapon one too if you do that means a lot to people that are new to this game and me and can you put every character on there if you do and put every weapon I really want this to happen because I missed some scout that I really wanted there character and can you put more cool things too the guild cause it seems boring like can you put in a school as a background and when you go to the door to it you can adventure and can you fix and can you put Asuna with different weapons cause I see her always using the rapier it getting boring to see her with rapiers so can you put Asuna with different weapons and can you put more stea,seven,rain,Yuuki,Philadelphia,yuna,Yui

I’m absolutely in love with this game! It takes up a good portion of my time, making sure I’m leveling up and getting better with each character I use! However, I have a few complaints I’d definitely like to address that bug me. For one, I don’t plan on putting money into the game, despite the fact I want this game to be more successful, so it makes it very very difficult to unlock new characters when the cost to unlock the x10 packs be 125 or 250 of income to unlock. Once you’re far into the game, you get stuck at a certain point where everything becomes challenging and you can’t even proceed. I also dislike how the level cap is 80, requiring you to get a special upgrading material to increase your leveling limits. The process is too abnormally long in my opinion and it frustrates me that I can’t even proceed in the game with my 2 level 80 characters. I’m forced to use my other characters and level them up, which still buys my time and I still enjoy to do, but I’d like to actually have a completely maxed out character instead of having to leave things off right before it’s finished. Aside from all this, I’m really enjoying the fact that you guys are going out of your way to add in new events so often! The constant work is very pleasing and I definitely encourage you to keep going! I hope that I won’t come to the point where I find the game boring because of the aforementioned complaints, but I’ll continue to enjoy this amazing game!

What separates SAO from other gatcha based mobile games is its unique combat system. Every hero has a weapon type and an element (or is non elemental). There are tons of versions of every hero, so you can play as your favorite character and try multiple roles. For example I have a 5 star Asuna who uses a rapier and has dark element attacks and I have a 4 star Asuna who uses a rod (is a caster) and has fire element attacks. Every weapon type has strengths and weaknesses and a slightly different play style. The main issue I have with this game is that the entire combat system is “clunky”. Having no joystick to move your hero makes it hard to aim attacks and avoid attacks. Sometimes when you want to jump backwards to avoid an attack the double swipe doesn’t register and you walk backwards and get hit. Once you have played for a while you will start to see a ton of little quirks in the combat system. There are days when I would give this game 5 stars. There are days when the combat system is so frustrating that I would give it 2 or 3. I feel like there is more good than bad, so a 4 star rating is fair.

I absolutely love playing these kind of games and it is something that I always do when I have some free time, my only problem that I have with the game is actually a really big one, it is almost impossible for me to progress any further in the game. Quest 22-5 The Grand Quest 3 requires that you get a Leafa character. By this point in the game you will have a good variety of characters but if you are in the same boat as me, you are stuck without a single Leafa. It says that followers count and then won’t let you use a follower. I wouldn’t be complaining if there was an easy way to get Leafa from the Scout program, which my game just told me I have scoured 100 characters, but her lowest tier version is a 3 star which isn’t as guaranteed as the 2 stars. I’m not looking for a powerful character, but really something that I can use to get past the requirement. If there is going to be a required character, it either needs to be provided, or very easily accessible like the 30 Thinkers or Kibaous that I have scouted playing the game.

So I really do enjoy playing the game when I have free time because of the enjoyment I get when I get a new 5 star character, beat a hard boss and so on. But recently I’ve been having my memory diamonds disappear, I don’t know if there something I missed or I accidentally tapped on something but If I did I wouldn’t be stating this in my review. So to explain what happened, I was play a game on my ps4 while playing SAO, I was in the middle of an extra mission while I was play on ps4 so natural I paused it. Now fast forward about 20 or so minutes I come back to try to finish the mission and I failed , then I see that my memory diamonds dropped from a hundred or so to 55. Now I was ok with that because memory diamonds aren’t to hard to grind for .But then the same thing happened again and I had 22 left, I don’t mind grinding out 100 memory diamonds but my worry is that idk if this might happen again and then I would have to grind all over again for something I didn’t use. If there’s a way to fix this issue I’d gladly rate this app 5 stars.

So I first played this game when it was a week after release and it was fun but one thing you could get duplicate characters and nothing from them they wouldn’t say me next to there name and be thrown in your inventory of characters, now however you get holy hacking crystals to boost character strength. So there’s a pro but here are some more the game is long like I said I’ve played it since a week after release and now just got past the SAO part and the story is fun it’s like playing the actual game with little humor segments and the missions are hard but not to hard (with the right characters). Now some cons, when I stated playing I got to the gleam eyes and could not beat it you don’t get story characters or level up fast enough so I did missions for diamonds to get stronger characters and got a dual welding kirto and could finally beat the boss. To sum up that the game ramps up in difficulty fast. Also you can’t download all story missions at once. Other than those great game nonetheless.

I’ve been playing this game since global launch and I fell in love with it. It’s easy to spend time playing quests and doing events, especially as a beginner when everything is new and there’s so much to do. The animation is great and guild communities are half the reason why this game is so amazing. But lately, the power creep has been getting bad. As a strict f2p or free to play user, I have an edge only with my long experience. But competing against whales, or players who spend to get new units, means that I’m often outclassed. For new players entering, having to compete against players with more units and players who spend to get top class gear and fully level up their units can be aggravating. It can be seemingly impossible to level up and gain the large rewards because you’re always outclassed by whales. You have to spend a lot of time as well to grind events and get scouting currency which can be difficult to keep up with. All in all, I think if you find a guild of ppl that you click with and have fun doing events with, this game will be much less aggravating, but with its low scout rates and huge power creep, it can be very difficult to enjoy. The only reason I’ve stayed so long is because of the discord community and my guild mates because right now the game is a mess.

I love the game, it a addictive game that even made me spend a thousand dollars on it. The only problem is the lags and glitches on some devices. Even when that happens, I just go through with it and forget it about it afterwards. Everything was fine but today I saw a first real glitch at hand, it was for the ticket scout [time traveler] Makoto. I already had the Makoto from the ticket event and wanted to get the hacking crystals for her and Thokk, everything was fine, it shows that I got 100 purgatory hacking crystals and I was fine. But once I reached Makoto’s limit break max +5 button, it showed not enough items. I was suprised and I went to check back my items list and saw nothing there. It showed the same amount of regular hacking crystal I had last time, thinking it was a glitch but it was the same number. Then I checked to see if I got Thokk by accident but I went to press filter, 5 star, fire element, and rod, but it showed nothing. It is such a let down to see that all my effort in the ranking event and supporting event wasted on a glitch that gave me nothing. I hope that Bandai will fix this glitch and give back the respected items that players have worked for in the couple of years people have played.

I believe this is a pretty awesome game. The combat system is unique in its own way and when I play I feel like it's really an SAO game(not just bc the characters). The only hangups I have is the availability of diamonds. The game only puts out so many through the story mode and events, and when i try to pull new characters they are always low star. It would be nice if 5 star characters were more attainable bc everytime i save enough diamonds i get crappy characters and have to start over again but it take forever to save enough for another pull. Ive stopped and restarted the game countless times bc of this. Im all for utilizing in-app purchases bc i know the app needs to make its revenue to continue doing what it does but the amount of diamonds you get for the money you spend is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and unfair. I stopped making purchases bc of this and if they were to increase the amount of in-game currency you recieve for the amount of money spent i would have no problem spending more. So until i see some change ill rate this game 3 stars even though i really belive its worth the 5 star rating.

Of course, when doing story the game is pretty fun. But once you get to GGO it’s all difficult, especially hard mode. It’s kind of a pay to win because they keep putting out characters as If you’d have enough memory diamonds to get them! This game has no chill, and cannot wait for releasing. Plus, it’s repetitive. Players in town get characters literally just to show off usually. Majority players would say that they quit. Majority just stay in town to roleplay and talk. (The community is super toxic and low IQ but oh well) this game literally expects you to spend 2 or more hours on repeating the same difficult boss battle over and over again. Like, what’s the fun in that? Prolly shouldn’t get this game. It’s literally repetitive and dumb cause they expect you to spend your whole day and all your money on it. The 6* era is when I realized this all. What’re you gonna put 7* characters now? But anyway, I’m only still playing because I got friends on there and I guess the character skills look cool and satisfying- but if you want pretty skills then go to Honkai or Genshin impact Idk.

I like the game format of battling but there’s a lot of issues. I don’t like how it takes up a lot of storage like I need photos and stuff. Also there’s a point where after about 45 minutes my phone gets super hot. I also don’t like the fact that people share personal info in chats and nothing to stop them. The game crashes when I’m in there too long and it can’t push anything. With battling, the mds get lower and it’s getting unfair. With master it’s impossible because the monster keeps hitting me and I can’t move at all!! This game is supposed to be similar to the anime but all the new characters are just weddings and bikinis it’s very annoying. Another thing is grinding takes too long! I spend like 2 hours getting mds them all I get are 2 and 3 star characters! At least give me a 4 star because I don’t like it when it’s not worth anything! Some scout characters are also very inappropriate for example, a Christmas Asuna wasn’t being very appropriate. This game is 12+ you should protect teens from these things! There’s barely any story from the anime in this. Just the thought of seeing a game supposed be related to the anime has more made up stories is just a no to me. Rankings are also just making me play the game more which my phone heats up. When my phone heats up, it may explode. This is why I think this game should take less storage!
