In this beautiful studio ghibli inspired game, you create your own dog sanctuary - nurture and care for adorable senior dogs by baking treats, petting and playing with them. As each dog’s loyalty toward you grows, unlock story episodes with choices and learn more about the dogs’ loveable personalities.
This dog game is inspired by the famous organisation, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, where a real life team of dog-loving heroes care for and love senior dogs. Each of the beautiful characters you meet is based on a wonderful resident from the real-life sanctuary.
Gameplay
● Take care of senior dogs - rescue and care for cute old doggos and spend your days loving them and growing their loyalty toward you. Become an animal care expert as you pet, feed and nurture your residents.
● Choose your story - make choices as you unlock each narrative episode. As your dog's loyalty grows, you will unlock new narrative chapters! Enjoy adorable story episodes as you unlock chapter after chapter in this wholesome narrative game.
● Decorate your sanctuary home - decorate indoors and outdoors with cute furniture and toys that your residents will love.
● Baking delicious treats - use your kitchen to get baking tasty treats for your pets, to earn more loyalty and unlock new story episodes!
● Dress up your residents in their own cute outfits! Each dog has adorable accessories, which you earn as rewards in the narrative episodes.
● This game is full of all kinds of dogs - big dogs, small dogs, dogs the size of a horse! There is a favourite dog for everyone.
● Document your journey - make your very own sanctuary profile, complete with your custom avatar and full of cute snaps of your best doggy friends.

Old Friends? More like Best Friends!!
Starting the game up, I had no idea what to expect. I've loved watching OFSDS grow over the years and my favourite pups popping up in this game has made me so happy. The paw prints they all left in my heart as they one by one crossed the bridge have grown so much since this game came out. I'm remembering all our old friends and I'm so happy to see them live on forever in a mobile app. I'm so grateful that we're able to keep their memory alive through the game 🤍
Very Wholesome Game
This game is so so cute and so very wholesome!!! It’s so fun to play and I love that the game helps the actual sanctuary, and that the dogs in the game are actual dogs!!! It’s so sweet! I love that you can make choices but also take care of the dogs and decorate your sanctuary! The social media page and live streams are fun touches too! One thing I would love to see is just the ability to rotate furniture, but the game overall is so amazing and fun already! I’m so happy that I found it!
A charming and lovely game!
I never write reviews, but when I say this game exceeded my expectations I mean it! The sweet elderly dogs based off of real dogs capture your heart immediately. You make your choice on how you interact with them, and the bonds feel so real. There’s so many aspects to the game. Social media, decor, cooking/kitchen, a (pretty cheap) shop IMO, and streaming! You can also dress up your pups! I’m excited to play more of this game.
An absolute gem
This is one of the few mobile games that’s actually playable! Ads enrich the game instead of being a barrier to content, and the game is completely doable without ever consuming an ad. This feels like a gentle vacation from life and I’m absolutely thrilled. Wish I could rate it higher, not just as an animal lover but as someone who has downloaded my fair share of mobile games.

I love this game so much! It’s really nice to have a game like this, especially raising awareness for older pups that need a loving home and deserve to be treated with the best care possible! This game is really adorable and I hope everyone enjoys it just as much as I do! I love how the real dogs at the OFSDS are in the game and you learn more and more about them!
Great Collection Game! Supports Real Sanctuary!
For a day one release, this game has great balance and a ton of progression items that encourage gameplay. The dogs you collect in the game are dogs that have been/are being cared for by the sanctuary and any purchases directly support the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary. Cute, Engaging, Runs Well, & Supports Great Pups & People!
Beyond adorable!
What a beautiful game with the most endearing dogs to care for! What could possibly make that better? That they are based on real dogs and their stories. This game is so charming, I cannot recommend enough. I think I will be playing for a long time.

While touring a little bit ago, Mason was so excited to tell us about this game and I have been counting down the days since! Mack and all the senior dogs look just as cute on the game as they do in their happy home in the sanctuary! This game makes my heart so happy!

I ran to download this app as soon as I got home from work on its launch date! I love that OFSDS made a game based on their real dogs, and it’s super fun and cute! Definitely recommend to anyone who likes dogs or just wants a fun game to pass the time!

I’m so excited and happy for this game! It’s exceeded all of my expectations and I love being able to interact with all my old friends that I’ve grown to love through Facebook and Instagram. Amazing! Just amazing! :)
OBSESSED
This game is so precious and brings me so much joy, it makes it that more more enjoyable knowing that the real senior dogs are benefitting from my playing and sharing the game. It would be a MUST PLAY anyways, but the added realism really touches my heart.

Better than any episode games
This app is fantastic, adorable and waay better than any episode games! The doggos are extremely adorable! Not even a day has passed and I already have two doggos!
Wholesome!
I just love feeling elated over simple achievements. I think as a society we forget to celebrate these small task and Old Friends reminds me that the little achievements can be celebrated too. Very wholesome and soul-warming.
