    Good, just two small problems

The game is amazing. I love it. The visuals of each individual monster, the way that each monsters attacks reference the movie they are from, and the monster cards and how they can show you pictures from the movie and give small descriptions. I haven’t played a whole lot of the game yet, but what I have played so far is amazing. This is even better if you are a hardcore Godzilla fan, but even if you aren’t you would still be able to enjoy this game. There are only 2 real things that buy me about this game. The first is that I really wish I could go back and fight monsters that I have already fought. That would be an amazing thing to do for bosses that really gave you trouble, and then you could go back and easily beat them. I have unlocked time travel, but I haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to lose all my hard earned upgrades. The second thing that bugs me is the bosses and how hard they can be. I can have a boss on each world that I am stuck on and I would be unable to make any progress. I wish that I would be able to select when I want to fight a monster, and then be able to go back out and farm coins if it is to hard. Other than that the game is really good. You must play this game.

    Things I’d want changed

You know when you’re on codex and It doesn’t show A very good picture yeah that’s what I want changed like with Gaira it just shows a picture of his body in black-and-white and then shows a picture of his head in black-and-white it’s not a very good photo selection if you ask me because here’s the thing I want to see a in color version of the monster I’m looking at rather than a black-and-white version that I can’t even tell what color the monster is not saying that the game is better or anything but a little advice on the color change would be good maybe an update for the picture or something I mean I think that would really be good for the like you know whole photosystem at least with Sanda it’s one picture of him in black-and-white and then one picture in color and for some of the other pictures I’m not just saying that those two monsters are bad I’m saying the black-and-white pictures could be updated to color pictures but for the rest of the game I’d say it’s really good so far I’ve used the time travel setting twice i’d say it’s really good if you get stuck on a monster i’m coming for you Godzilla 1984!!!!

    My Opinion

I love this game already to bits,I love how when you defeat a monster you get its card and codex, and you can see its codex which contains 2-3 photos and a brief description, along with what year they were featured in their name, that is only for some though, which is perfectly fine! I also love how it doesn’t force p2p. You can slowly rise and rise, watching ads for auto tap lets you level up said auto tap by watching a specified amount of ads, if you do so, your time of auto tap goes up, and it levels up by 5 minutes. Making it almost insane for you not to watch ads! The only thing, the one and only thing that I want the game to change, is when losing to timed bosses, don’t keep players on the screen and what not, give a give up button that lets you go back a level and get more gold to get stronger. Instead of keeping a player stuck on the bosses screen until you watch so many ads for coins and for bonus damage. Please! This game is the best one so far in the mobile series! Keep it going! And listen to what I say maybe!

LOTS of Ad watching, but Worth It

I haven’t had this much fun playing a Godzilla game since “Destroy All Monsters” for the GameCube or “Save the Earth” for the Xbox! The monster designs are great, everyone is here, and the game mechanics and graphics are cool too :) No different than any other tap to kill game, but for kaiju fans, this is the game to get. Now, you get stuck pretty quickly, so watching the ads help. Unfortunately, in order to keep progressing at a continuous rate, you have to watch ads. A lot. Like, constantly. It gets tiring after a while, but they pick some cool adds to make it better, not to mention it’s just satisfying watching a kaiju boss that had been giving you trouble go down in two hits after watching a couple videos. I would suggest making the progression more balanced so you don’t have to watch so many darn ads, but that’s not going to stop me from geeking out every time I face my old kaiju friends head on.

    KOTM cards?

I love this game. One of the best games I have on my phone if not the best all together. I’ve been playing for a while and have really been enjoying it so far. Some of the major fights like with the occasional Godzilla and the ghidorah I am stuck on right now take a few tries to beat but that’s fun in its own way. Personally I feel like it makes the defeat of the monster a lot more satisfying and rewarding. My only question is when the King Of The Monsters cards might be added or if they will be added at all? I would love to see the new Ghidorah and Godzilla have their own cards. I’d also love to see the 2014 Godzilla get his own card as well but... haha that movie was kinda lame. But seriously, this game is awesome and I love the hard work and dedication put into it. You can tell it isn’t just a money grab when you get decent cards just by waiting a few hours to open a pack. Thanks for making such an awesome game. Much love.

I think Ludia should make a Godzilla game

Ok for a very long time I’ve wanted a Godzilla game for mobile but I don’t really like this one all that much I would prefer something similar to Godzilla vs or Jurassic world the game but on monster island now don’t think I’m saying the is bad it’s not I just ain’t too interesting. Okay soo I don’t really like the game mainly because it’s just well tapping that’s about it and there should probably be a easy mode I’m kinda just turning into a teen so ya but anyways I’ve loved Godzilla for about well ever since the 2014 trailer soo ya at the very least I’m glad there even is a Godzilla game for mobile soo thanks I guess also you might wanna add some Godzilla’s and maybe add in some custom kaiju idk if it would be a little too much to ask for a customizable kaiju but I asked anyway (oh btw this is all just my opinion and monster island buddy’s)see you around

I’m a OG ARIGATO that means thank you

So I’ve seen all the movies I have most of the books and I just love gojira that’s Godzilla’s other name for you but anyway I am so grateful that someone has actually made new Godzilla game I’ve been waiting for what seems decades and finally I love the art style and how the game makes you feel like you are actually the soul character one thing I want though is that there would be more kaiju (sorry if I spelled that wrong) that would fight the boss or the enemy I know that there are already some of them but I think that there should be more that aren’t Godzilla’s but that’s kinda it if the creator is reading this then I hope you profit from this game and you are one of my idols😁😁😁😁🤑I play this and think “huh I wonder if other people enjoy playing this game even though it just came out please keep doing updates your legacy will live on forever 😊 well see ya 👋

Version 2.1.2 and slightly earlier bug.

I have roughly been playing this game for around 2 weeks now and I love it immensely. That being said, I have noticed a consistent bug across the last 2-3 updates I’ve had I’d like to report here. If you play your cards too quick, there is a chance that one of your cards will duplicate it’s stats with the stats of a previous/just played card. I just played my Godzilla (‘03) Lv. 3 card, followed immediately by my Lv. 10 Xilien UFO. Replaced the status boost of my Godzilla card and gave me just another 55% production buff instead. Still cost me 4 G-Cells from my Godzilla card though. Otherwise, game is very fun with only a few minor things that don’t really affect gameplay too much. It just sets up a slow leveling wall. Once you get to around New York, don’t be surprised to have to time travel after 10-15 levels or so. Immense fun regardless, just don’t be surprised if you feel a lack of progress eventually. Also have to say, obtaining the cards to use in game is extremely fair and realistic. Haven’t spent a single dollar and I’m only missing around 20 out of 103 cards. Just have to use card dust to obtain some cards, while with others I still have to level up and unlock certain stages to obtain them. Overall, game is a solid 8.6 out of 10. Minor bugs and lack of progress pass a certain point, but besides that everything is extremely fair and fun

    Pretty much everyone else’s review

Why the hell am I playing this game? Because my friend told me to and I already made too much progress to quit. I ain’t complaining about in app purchases because I didn’t find it too pay-to-win. Also, I get some really bad ads. Atleast make it skippable, and not the “lose your reward” skippable. People say you have to grind a lot, but in less than a month I beat Tokyo, almost beat London, and unlocked Sydney, and I only play the game like an hour a day. Also, I am mixed with the tapping simulator stuff. You could’ve done way more, but I’m okay with tapping the screen tons of times, and don’t ask why. I would’ve give it a 3.5 if I could. It’s an okay game, and I would play this over almost EVERY simulator game, but they could’ve done more. Note: this review is from someone only starting to get into the Godzilla franchise. He never watched a Godzilla movie, and won’t watch King of Monsters because he’s a scaredy cat. Also, he played 2 other Nexon games, and quit playing one of them. Edit: He’s actually watched KOTM and is not a scaredy cat

    Good Game

I do like the Godzilla lore and everything else like the movies and such. I recently did get back into it after somewhat dropping my interest. This game popped in and I thought it was pretty cool. I have only just beaten Godzilla ‘99 and unlocked London but it is a really good game. What makes it not-a-perfect game is that collecting money takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R. It should be that the more you level up a defense, the more you get back from it (and if it is like that, raise how much you get back to it). That daikaiju are also so extremely strong after awhile. I had to fight Rainbow Mothra practically 10 times before I got it right (I ended up getting SS rank so I’m happy) and then I had to fight Godzilla ‘99 (the Orga one) tons of times cause he was too strong. It is a good game (even though it’s just another clicker with Godzilla slapped all over it) especially if Godzilla is of your interest. I haven’t had the though of deleting it. But with that being said, if the devs end up reading this, I want you to take into account what I have said please and as always, thank you for your time.

A cliche, but a nice one

This game is a very enjoyable experience for a Godzilla fan such as myself, I love how nearly every monster is included at some point, including those from lesser Toho flicks. Not a single monster is excluded, as far as I can tell. Absolutely one of the best rosters I’ve ever seen. Unlocking a new unit or leveling them up is very satisfying as most of the time they will annihilate any enemy...for the first 3 levels or so. That brings me into the negative, the difficulty. I should not have to spend 30 minutes watching advertisements just to get a big enough boost to do enough damage to a Daikaiju (the big boys) to defeat it. Then, directly after, spend another 30 slowly killing the 10 waves that come after, and then rinse and repeat double-the-time for the next big monster. Making money is absolutely impossible, making time travel a requirement, but there’s no fun in fighting the same 10 Daikaiju over and over when you get stuck on one, and have to travel back to the beginning. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to fight Ebirah, and I’ve barely even seen what Sydney has to offer. In all, this game would honestly just be another time-wasting clicker such as Clicker Heroes or Tap Titan. If it were not for the fact that I am such a nerd when it comes to Godzilla, I would pass over this game scrolling through the App Store. It’s fun for the first day or so, then the repetitive nature almost forces you to delete it.

    Opinion

See, I’m a Godzilla fan as you are to. But the main issue with the game is that is super Grindy it feels. It feels like MK11 the month of its release. But instead this one wants your wallet to get things like upgrades for cards, cards, and currency to upgrade your base. And also I forgot mention, it’s a clicking game. There’s nothing really cool about that, but that’s alright I don’t mind. Finally, one last thing why is there a time limit on the boss battle that’s really dumb and I feel that’s not a lot of time to work on, if I were in there shoes I put it at 120 seconds.————————————————————————————————————————-Here are the good stuff is that the roster of cards to collect is a massive overhaul of Toho Kaiju I’m mean there’s Characters that haven’t been lots of movies and media nowadays like ebirah, baragon (I think), and we got the boi Huge Electrode Plate Device I mean come on we got the big bois. Finally, the card artwork is kinda lazy I mean it’s an image just cut out of their respected movies, but there in game look is not the best but I think it’s really nice. I know I might had missed some parts, but I think this games can really be something great for the fans so that’s why I’m giving the game 3 stars I hope you can respect it

    Needs Improvement

The base idea is amazing. The game perfectly captures the feel of fighting kaiju and is very fun overall. I especially love the codex and seeing pictures of the monsters in the old movies. However, the game has many problems that are too much to ignore. First, the camera is terrible. You can barely move it and it does not respond over half the time. It makes tapping anything near the edge of the screen almost impossible. Another problem is that once you hit a boss level, you cannot go back to fighting normal monsters until after you beat the boss, but if you can’t beat the boss, you are literally stuck in ad hell until you get enough boosts to finally win. One other gripe I have is the constant disabling of your buildings in boss fights. In other games having some of your damage disabled isn’t so bad but in this game it is a huge screw-over. Every second counts when you are fighting a boss and on top of that, if you are tapping your buildings to repair them, you will most likely miss any weak spots that appear on the bosses. TLDR: Game could be amazing if the devs actually fix the stupid mechanics that are in it at the moment.

    Sir Amik

Ok so I’d like to revisit my previous review as it wasn’t fantastic, it was just kinda “this games bad the end.” There are some great things about it for sure, the animations are great and the overall look of it is fantastic for a mobile game, plus it’s got a lot of cool stuff people who like Godzilla will love. However for a free game I accept there need to be in app purchases but I feel as though the prices definitely need to be lowered a few dollars compared to what they have now, I don’t know what kinda money nexon makes off of the game but I think people may be more inclined to actually buy your product if it’s not too expensive. I also think there need to be a few more modes of play or at least one other as I can see the game being not too entertaining after a while with the same kind of gameplay. One last thing, I think there needs to be a button or two someone can tap, My hands aren’t very fast but I can still see some bosses being unnecessarily difficult without out it for other people, also when I tap my hands on the screen I very often pause the game on accident and can’t see a thing to boot. But the developers seem to be very responsive to the reviews so that’s a step in the right direction, I hope nexon takes some of these things into consideration.
