This game is awesome, I really love it! The graphics are great and the gameplay is too. I also love the soundtrack. It is similar to dark souls but it feels like its own game itself. The game is fast paced but if you are not good at playing fast paced games this is still for you, because the game is so so good. I suggest you download it, please it is great! Give it a 5 star and you’re going to love it! I hope you download this awesome game! These are one of those rare mobile games that are very good! Best mobile game I’ve ever played so far! I’ve been looking for good mobile games for a long time till I came across this and man I’m surprised! By the I am not one of those fake computers that are made by the game to post good ratings, this is a real person who is super pleased with this awesome game. I want you guys to download this awesome game and try it for yourself. I am also surprised that this game is free! There are games out there that are not even good and you have to pay to play. But this one you can have fun for free! That is all for my rating for this great game, that could possibly have the potential to become a fully fledged console game! This is what you call “G.O.A.T” material I like how you can choose to dominate pvp and also this game and the development of your character doesn’t allow you to fall behind. The creators or masterminds from what I see it’s like “they already give you everything thing you need in the game To try and master your characters at your best standard. The graphics are more similar to and Xbox one or PS4 console. Some I find myself playing this game more then I even do my Xbox. trust me that says a lot. In this game you get what you put in meaning if you want to be a purple header icon you have to grind for it. If not you may be able to remain powerful but not for so long with other pvp players or characters. The story is in line with the game play missions never get laggy or boring. PvP has great connection although it may lag once in a while but trust me the servers are mainly great from what I see y’all should make a new 2 of this game I’m curious on what other ideas the developers has, but thank you mainly for the experience of this game I don’t know what being bored is no more. 5 out of 5 stars. I give this game an S-Rank performance.

This is an amazing game. The combat is like no other, the graphics are amazing and I recommend iPhone 7 or up in my opinion but you can play on your 6s. Customization is great and I don’t want to spoil you but there are a few cons like every game in the planet. 1 con is that there are few places to fight on adventure and that you have to complete certain amount of levels to get the next few chapters. I understand that you need to be on same or higher power but needed to complete levels on adventure to unlock story is hard, because I really like the story and characters saying different stuff and voice acting which I haven’t seen anybody do is amazing and also that there are a few characters but I know you will change that with more and I will be happy. I say archer class is best. 1 more thing and that is that I love customizing my character but the thing is that I have to agree with others but I don’t have a problem is that you can’t change characters gender and you prob are looking into it or not doing it cause of voice acting and stuff but I’m ok because the gameplay makes up for it. Thank you, you made an amazing game.

I absolutely, LOVE the game! But there are some things I do recommend that the developers alter around to make it better. For one, I would start with the option of allowing people to pick their own color of dye when dying items. I think it’s silly how the games chooses the color for you and I find that as a bit of a let down. Personally I would love to choose my own colors. Maybe I want to create a guild called the “Dark Assassins” or something and I want my guild members to have completely black dyed items. Another thing is that when fighting Helene, she gains her health back when rising the back of the spider and yet you are pretty much starting a fresh battle so why don’t you get to earn all of your health back? It makes it totally unfair and I feel like it’s just a way to spend more diamonds that you’ve run out of BECAUSE of that fact. I feel as if you should gain all of your health back when the something like that happens. Otherwise, I adore the game, it’s perks and just about everything else. It’s an amazing game, runs really well on my phone and is overall just pretty amazing :) thank you for creating this game !!

I was skeptical when I saw it was free to download with in-app purchases. I expected hundreds of ads and being forced to purchase energy/gold/whatever with real money. But this game does it right! No ads except for relevant ads about the game (ie daily offers) which you can opt out of (“don’t show this again”). Plus the game offers a lot of rewards for you to level up the in-game currency without having to spend a single cent. You get bonuses for logging in daily, bonuses for resting, bonuses for achievements (there’s a lot!), and you can grind levels to get even more out of it. Also a nice feature is that everything “new” is marked by a red dot. So you won’t accidentally forget to claim a prize, because the game will remind you. The tutorials fit seamlessly into gameplay, the story is quite good, and actual gameplay is really fun plus excellent graphics and slowmo fight scenes for those combos and boss kills. You can play PvP, Co-op, or PvE. I never run out of things to do! Great game, lots of fun, no glitches or bugs, helpful community, amazing graphics, lots of rewards, free to play, highly recommended.

Let’s start out with this, the review on jul 22 that person is obviously salty and looking to much into things that really don’t impact the game exp. I’ve tried many rpg mobile games and was disappointed it wasn’t what I was looking for and the videos about the game always made the game seem like it was amazing but it was way off . Most .org games are to computerized with the quest allowing u to press a single button and the character would do the entire quest while u watched or they would have the base style play when u had to return home and upgrade parts of your base and farm materials. Yawn! THIS GAME RIGHT HERE stood true to its video was exactly what I saw in the trailer is how the game is, super fun graphics are excellent for mobile gaming fighting is amazing character selection pretty standard in rpgs but they look great nonetheless. Overall really happy with the game, love it and will be playing this a lot. If small things such as script dialogue won’t bother you then u will like the game to. ( reference to : I got u a gift ... oh I didn’t know you would get that ) . Go try it out yourself. (Not a paid review)

This is a really good game, I’m such a fan. Has great action, exciting combat, etc. Although it does need improvement like the selection part where you pick what class you want to be part of. I wish that a player could pick a class but then afterwards change their gender what they want. I picked assassin assuming I could change the character of my gender from male to female. Though I don’t mind playing as a female, I just wish I could make my character look more like me. I wish that when I opened the chests hat cost 5,000 that I would get a variety of different clothing. Instead I get the same clothing, some with different colors some just the same. Besides customization options, the game has a very bad lagging problem. When your out fishing or in the hot tub, or going to the spinning wheel. The game lags super badly and it is so hard to move around as the game lags more than it does when one is in the story. I also feel like there should be more super moves because your character ones character will do a super move but then you can choose to do a second one and they are usually all the same. Like when the assassin characters do the move where they wrap their legs around the opponent you can choose to do another super move on another opponent but out of all the super moves I used there are only three forms of combat for the super moves. Besides all that, kudos to this great game.

This game is one of the best rpg I’ve ever played. The graphics are amazing and the combat is good too. The game can get quite repetitive though. The PvP needs some balancing but can be fixed. My major problem is the customization. Not the character customization thing Like others have said. It’s the dyeing. I HATE the random pick thing. It’d be so much better to be able to just buy your choice of dye using gold. Better yet, include different textured dyes. Including different colored lava layers on your armor or a sort of aura. Like I stated before. A phenomenal game. Better than a few console games I’ve played. Also another problem I have is gender specific classes. It’s a very dumb decision to do that. As an RPG you’d expect to be able to make your ideal character. As a serious gamer I like role playing. It doesn’t help that you give players full customization over the character about everything except gender. Fix that as well. I still love the game just needs a few tweaks. Also the adventure mode shouldn’t be needed to progress the story. And the levels shouldn’t be the exact same other than the bosses at the end. The chances of the devs seeing this are pretty low. But please respond if you have a sense of where I’m coming from. And that you get my points. That’d help my issue with the game a lot

Update: I am can finally begin to play the game... sort of. It’s very slow and laggy. I have made sure no apps are running, that I have good connection, etc. I’m thinking it may just be my phone at this point. Over all, Darkness Rises is an amazing game. The graphics are great, the storyline is intriguing, and leveling up isn’t too easy, but also not impossible. You don’t have to pay to get far in this game, which is a plus. There are plenty of different battles and options. One of my favorite things about this game is that we can customize not only our characters, but their outfits as well. I haven’t been able to check out the more recent updates, however, due to my lack of ability to play properly. I’m sure it’s continuing to get even better, though! Previous: I used to play this game a lot. It’s a fantastic game, it really is. I just wish I could play it! It stopped working for me about a year ago and I haven’t tried it again until about recently. I got it to work today for about 20 minutes before it crashed and since then, I can go as far as choosing my character before it crashes. I have an iPhone 6, I’ve tried clearing the files for the game, I’ve made sure I have plenty of space and a good connection. I don’t know what the issue is! :(

I love this game and can spend such a long time playing it. That being said, you have 2 male characters and 2 female. You cannot choose gender of each class. The “strong” characters are men. It’s also discouraging that every icon for your character is white. There are no African American characteristics for any character. You can have black skin but your icon remains white. I also could not give my original wizard (female) black hair without using trait or dye tickets. Needless to say, if you are an African American, your character will not look like you and your character icon will always be white. The chat option is extremely difficult and I really wish I could just completely turn it off. I also would appreciate, as a woman, that my character had the option for less risqué clothing and her breasts didn’t wiggle back and forth when you turned her. The men are all ripped and unrealistic as well and I’m sure some people might wish to have them look more like themselves too. This is a game that is a great concept, but I think it’s definitely aimed at white males. Despite all my complaints about trait characteristics, it runs smoothly and I’m going to continue to play and hope that in the near future, more options are available. I played it off and on a while back. The main problem I had was that you have to do the tediously huge campaign mode for EVERY character to do story mode which when there’s 5 or 6 characters that’s a loooong time and effort. Even with just 1 trailblazer character doing that it would be a long time to go dozens of fights. Do like how after the also tedious tutorial that really shouldn’t be forced on every character given you already did it you basically go into deity mode for a while where you can basically snap through everything nearby and you barely have time to use the skills because looking at enemies is destruction itself. Other major beef is how colors are random; that’s pointless and counterintuitive for such a customizing game. The tickets should all be choice colors and maybe the currently choice ones should be textures like I saw a guy point out(like lava, stone, windy, camo, perhaps national flags, etc) but still also choosing. Basically to sum it up make the campaign mode only needed once for all story unlocks and make the colors all choice. Oh and make it cheaper to upgrade stuff especially with stones or highest level combining because it’s outrageously expensive especially given how high failure it can be.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a pretty good RPG genre for a mobile device. There aren’t many out there, and I decided to try it out today. I do have some issues with certain areas of the game, however. One thing that especially annoyed me was that my game crashed when I finished customizing the character, and none of my progress was saved and I now have a generic character that everybody else has. It also says that this game has a “deep narrative”, but it’s obvious the developers didn’t spend much time on the story aspect of the game. For example, when you meet the blonde girl in the blue dress, (she’s in the tutorial, I can’t remember her name) she says that she has a gift for you. You basically give the generic “okay” and go to grab it as a free gift from the store. Within ten seconds of her telling me this and me grabbing the gear, I open the box and she tells me “Wow! I never would have expected you to get that!” Or something like that and takes you to enhance the new weapon/armor. Did you not just say you were the one that bought me the gift? The girl would know what she got me. It’s little stuff like that with the other characters that talk that get me. The game is meant to be played, not so much experienced. Seems like a money pit to me, if I do end up getting my issues resolved I may reconsider the rating.

So when this issue gets fixed my rating will go back to a 5 star. However after the latest patch anything involving co-op is borderline unplayable unless both people have perfect network stability. Neither my friends nor I have ever had any disconnect issues before, NEVER, now if anyone one of us drops below 95% stability they get DC’d and in 4-5 lvl raids that means you lose unless everyone has a flawless run OR you can dump 50 gems every time you have to revive (which could be anywhere from once to three times). 150 gems doesn’t seem like much but if it happens in all 4 raids it adds up quick. Aside from that this game has something for everyone to enjoy multiplayer (once it’s fixed), solo, crafting, hack&slash with a little bit of strategy in the harder content (e.g. raids). The story is surprisingly good for a mobile, the graphics are legitimately console quality, the gameplay is very fast paced so if you’ve only got 20 minutes you could do roughly 10 adventure missions (the typical goal is to do them in under 2 minutes). There is almost no P2W, there is however a hefty pay to get to end game level power MUCH faster, that being said, a lot of the end game players I know have never spent a penny on this game. So again, once the disconnect issue is fixed this will go back to a 5 star.

I played through the intro scenario, where it locks you out from pressing any button other than the one to continue to the next blisteringly linear level, and was finally offered the ability to customize my character while it downloaded the rest of the game files. It made sense, I thought, to not download the entire game until you'd tried the intro, so I set about making my character unique (a listed feature). The game locked up once the download finished (I clicked the button to continue), and I had to reload. None of my customization was saved, and I had to be dragged through two more levels to even access a menu because of the "drag you through by the ear" interface. Finally, I accessed the "beauty shop" for character customization, only to find I had to pay 1000 gems (the premium currency) to save my new appearance. I can understand "getting the first one free," but I didn't, it didn't work. 1000 gems costs $6-10, depending on what pack you get. I'm not paying $10 for something it dangled in front of me before it locked up and forgot it all. I opened a ticket, the game is okay but being unable to customize even a single character is game-breaking for me. I even created a new character and went through the whole bloody thing again, still no dice. I'll probably delete the app if they don't give me a hand.
