    Wow what a game!

This is the best survival game I’ve ever played and the best game on iPhone I ever played. That being said there are some changes that need to be made. The biggest problem with this game is the amount of grinding it takes to progress! I understand you want to make the game challenging and difficult to survive but the way it is now is just ridiculous it takes nearly a whole week of grinding just to prepare for a dungeon run. It makes the game boring and monotonous. It should only take 2 days to 3 days to prepare for a dungeon run not 7 days! Do you understand?? Also Double the durability of armor. Reason being it takes A lot of material and grinding to make a good armor set,, which is fine. But they need to last longer! Twice as long as they currently do. The biggest problem with this game! Increase the durability of armor and weapons!! Double it!!! Because it takes so much work and time to craft! It’s very disheartening to spend days gathering materials to craft a set of good armor only to have it last five minutes before it wears out! Same for weapons. Your running your players away and making us bored because of this! The reward for spending the hours to craft good weapons and armor isn’t enough for the player! These durability of items should be DOUBLED

Interesting game yet with slow development

The game is addicting, a lot of the gaming process was well thought. However, the game requires patience from both the gamers and developers. The game takes very long to develop over time, it doesn’t even have multiplayer yet and I understand the Pandora affect of open multiplayer if the game single mode hasn’t perfected yet. Very good gaming mechanism, however there are imbalances in the economy with certain materials’ productions such as the linens for armors that broke too often. The durabilities of the item were depending on hits regardless of how much the monster hits(i.e the flapping from a leper is the same as crushing blow from a damned Templar on you armor). The game needs money to develop and I am a frequent customer, I hope the developers will continue to listen to its players/customers to make this game a mutual benefits between them. For all that are having difficulties at this game, the key of surviving and fun is to be frequency, intensity and time. How frequent do you produce your items? How much effort are you try to save materials and not squandering them on the wrong time and location? How much time have you calculated as far as each farming trip to your production time? It’s all about managing, micro and macro.

Truly a Survival Game - Gritty and Difficult

I saw some reviews complaining about how “hard” the game is. That’s the point. The developers did a fantastic job of simulating what it would really be like to start with nothing in a wasteland world. Your starting plot of land where you’ll eventually build your stronghold is full of all the basic materials you need to get started and it’s up to you from there to be smart about it. There’s a lot of grind in the beginning to get supplies but it forces you to be frugal and careful about what you choose to do. I will say that the level system seems set up so that you might feel pressured to use the in-app purchases (especially at low levels) to get ahead but there’s no reason to if you have enough patience. Once you hit level 20 or there abouts you can build enough resource-refining stations to have a steady supply of food, armor, and weapons. Before that if you get into a sticky combat situation you can outrun just about anything before you die and head back to your base to recoup. All in all a well done game. Great mechanics paired with realistic gritty survival makes the game difficult yet fun.

    Awesome game.

So far I have only played for a couple of days, but overall I am very pleased with the game. It is a little slower paced, but that’s quite alright with me. I enjoy games like this and honestly I was looking for a game that wasn’t a bunch of multiplayer pay to win type of game. You can spend money obviously, but it’s not required in the slightest. My only complaint is that it requires WiFi to play (I think). But it is perfect for multitasking, but yet being involved. While I am studying or doing something around the house I can travel to destinations, then take a break from whatever I am doing and play for a little bit. Or you can just keep playing and manage your castle or production. Either way it’s freaking awesome. It is for the most part unforgiving, but doesn’t tale much time to figure out. I am used to playing games like dark souls and darkest dungeon, so this game is great in my book in regards to difficulty. I’d have to play a little more to really evaluate the mechanics, but so far I am pleased.

    Needs work

I really like this game but there’s some things that are hard to over look, for example the weapon durability’s are just way too week especially with how long it takes to get anything better by crafting, finally got to the morning star and at first the damage was better for sure but considering that tin is something I have to find as a rare drop basically at my lvl the required materials are really hard to find the durability was basically the same as everything else it basically lasted up to a quarter durability after completing a basic 1 skull difficulty map and that was a problem. I have even gotten a gold teir weapon with real money and that did seem to last longer but as everything else it was quick. Plus the amount of energy you get and what it takes to do anything especially far like events is limiting me to at times 1 trip every other hour, there is the pathfinder perk but it don’t help much. Confused as to why “running” is so few seconds but walking is a good wait. Also they have a horse and other transportation for sertain places but I have yet to even complete my stable and I’m something like lvl 33....Will still be playing try looking into improvements this game could go places

A game that relies on patience and strategy

There are reviews that say that the game is unfair because of the matter of healing and not being able to kill entire mobs. In my opinion the game is actually fairly balanced. My strategy is to run and sneak to collect berries on the map and then quietly do away with lepers and such until I can lure a stronger enemy away from the treasure. Your spoils are admittedly a matter of luck, but where I’m positioned I can fast travel to several locations to try my hand at gathering resources and killing small mobs. The fact that you gain EXP from resource gathering is a great plus for this game. You have to play this game patiently and smartly or you won’t get far. After a few deaths I learned my lesson. It is admittedly a pain that the game continues in the background when opening up my inventory but I suppose that’s to add to the difficulty. I would say my only complaint are the number of resources required to build certain things, but again, it’s a game that is clearly about slowly building yourself up. Thus far I haven’t be raided (knock on wood) so that might potentially put a damper on my enjoyment in the future. We’ll see.

    Upgrades

It would be great to be able to upgrade the chests box within without having to wait until the next a greater box to be available, also be able to return to the same location to finish getting loots without have to restart that Session meaning don’t having to re-kill the enemy just to finish getting more of the loot as long as we weren’t killed of course so we can return to the same location as it was even if there was a time limit to return to that location to finish gathering the items needed that would be greatly appreciate , if you can also make a Way that we can increase our life span with some type of potion that can be found in loots or for killing enemies -(zombies animals other humans etc.), and how bout being able to upgrade weapons to make them stronger as well, I love playing this game and hopefully my input can help you better this game for everyone’s enjoyment!!!. I have so many other great Ideas but for now let’s start with these that I mentioned. Hope to see these very soon in the next updates. Thanks for reading this and the best to all of you!!!

Great game, but it says mmo when it’s not.

I’ve been playing this off and on now for several months, and it’s a great game to pick up and put down anytime. I have a few problems with it but it’s a free game so I let it slide. The game claims to be an mmo but currently it is not. My friends and I would love to be able to build and work together but still no idea when they are going to add in the actual mmo elements. Also it would be great if they added an anvil. It doesn’t make much sense to have to constantly make new gear. You should also be rewarded by not breaking an item and repairing it instead. Or if it breaks you should have the broken pieces to use toward new gear. The durability of all things is a joke as well, even the best stuff breaks in minutes of battling. I know it’s designed to just throw money at the game, but why would I spend any money if my 20 dollar armor breaks in 10 minutes, not worth the time it took me to make that 20 bucks. Good game for what it is and has a lot of potential. More then likely will end up like the majority of games out there that the devs quit after awhile and work on a new project.

    Pay to win?

This game so far seems one sided. Runs very well and the mechanics are on point but the level of difficulty is way out of balance. That’s fine and all that you lose your stuff when you die but as a beginner with limited weapons, I can only fight one mob before I have to heal so I can fight again. Let’s not forget how almost impossible it is to maintain a source of food to heal because of this. I’ve had to run around and collect berries just to heal so I can continue to play and wait until the next day so I could get the holiday cake to heal to full health. Why make bandages available only at level 15? This seems odd as a basic bandage should be available right at level one so we can keep playing for more than 15 minutes at a time. All this goes to my title “pay to win.” You got to buy weapons and gear to be able to play... but don’t die or you’ve potentially lost your spendings. Please lower the difficulty just a little bit but not too much so that it’s too easy. Just give us a way to be able to heal on a more consistent basis so we can keep exploring. I’m level 15 now and still using the basic club, it’s still better than what I can craft based on my dps and the dps of the mob, this needs fixed for sure. It’s also quite quite annoying that it takes a stack of 20 wood to make 5-7 steaks (forgot the exact number) and it also takes forever to cook!! 5 stars for giving us what I’ve mentioned.

I like it but grind grind grind

Great graphics and storyline and a great feel to it. It’s clear the developers have done a great job but there’s something about the gameplay that is off. I want to like it, I keep playing it, but in the end it’s a grindfest. Your constantly just crafting minimal tools and armor to gather materials in hopes of upgrading but upgrading is so costly it’s almost not worth doing as everything wears out so quickly. To upgrade your backpack requires a high level and is relatively costly in materials and making a bow (a relatively basic weapon) is almost impossible too as you can’t craft a bowstring, you have to be lucky enough to find it. You also can’t craft a harness, saddle or trough for your horse - you need to find those too. These and other “special” items are hard to come by even if you are able to survive random events. I was a fan of Last Day on Earth as well and reached a saturation point as well, it seems that Grim Soul grows more tedious and feels like a chore after awhile. I understand the developers need to make this more of a challenge and you don’t want to make it too easy but something has to be done to balance out the gameplay somehow. If I’m level 65 but running around naked with 2 staffs and a pile of beef jerky because I need a week to gather materials ten something is wrong. Maybe it’s me?

    I don’t understand

This game is fun in the beginning but stops making sense once you get a wolf and doesn’t follow its own mechanics I have 2 common wolves but I can’t breed them for some reason that’s the mechanics aspect also what do the wolves do my wolf just watches me fight unless the mouth icon means he can only attack a certain amount of times which makes even less sense I also can have two when I select accompany it only lets me select one which is the opposite of what the trailer shows if I am doing something wrong with having two or having them help me fight an enemy maybe you should put an instruction into it the last thing that doesn’t make sense is once you build the horse stable it’s not actually build like with the wolf pen you have to make things in the stable after making the stable and getting leather straps is something idk how to do I’ve looked at the crafts to see what they do none say makes leather straps there’s makes leather but that’s something different and if you do need to be higher lvl why the hell would you be able to make a stable before you get the straps seems like a lot of this game is luck since the saddle to ride the horse is a unique item

The difficulty of the game and the imbalanced mechanics.

I agree with everyone, the difficulty of the game is significantly imbalanced. It’s also very discouraging when I spend a half of a day preparing to only die, because of the imbalance in stats. I’m level 32 and I still don’t have an altar, or sanctuary, I’ve collected 18 gems since level 8 and I’ve yet to find the last two that I need to build my devices. Hence you guys ultimately want us to spend too much to play. I have two wolves right now and the only reason I got them is because I bought them. I didn’t get them until level 30 after risking everything like 15 times and getting fed up looking for a cub. The enemies also make it very restricting if you’re gonna only give us armor that lasts for a few minutes. How am expected to defeat several “Damned Knights” to obtain the necessary resources I need if I can only defeat them one at a time per armor. And there are three of them guarding a single loot cart. Personally it doesn’t make much sense to me. If it keeps up this way I’ll have to find something a a bit more proportionate in stats where my hard work is felt, so that I’m encouraged to further spend with them.

Money Drainer and unfair gaming system

I played this game thinking it was cool at first until I lost all my purchased items from being attacked by other online players who’ve been playing this game longer and had better purchased gear. How can you allow purchased items to be completely lost? Why isn’t there an option to turn off pvp? Is this a game to promote online trolling and as a company to take as much money as you can from your customers? I don’t desire to play pvp games and esp ones that are designed to benefit the developers taking advantage of others through this kind of gaming sytem. Its not a game designed in the best interest of gamers. It gives the impression that it’s all about greed and how much you can make off of people. I don’t feel this game has any true integrity, nor gives players the opportunity to advance in the game without having to deal with unfair pvp situations that steal from you. Coming into this game new, I feel ripped off both from my money and then secondly by the fact that anyone can just swoop in and steal from me. I ha pd ZERO chance to be on equal grounds. Survival doesn’t describe this game. You’ve created a game that robs and cheat people of their money. A game with fairness should be considered. Who wants to be ripped off financially by getting some gear then it gets stollen from other online gamers? I want a complete refund of all my purchases! This game is misleading and doesn’t represent an enjoyable game play. I want a refund!!!

    Kefir’s greediest game

I’ve been playing LDOE since it was released, and although I faced issues with bugs more times than I can count, the gameplay is great and I’m completely addicted. Yes, you have to grind, but the more you do, the more you gain. Grim Soul is a great concept with horrible, greedy developers. I’ve been playing it since it came out, but not nearly as often as LDOE, and I’ll explain why. I’m level 45 with a level 6 castle and have supported the game through numerous purchases. They charge way too much for items, which you’ll lose on even the 1 skull areas. I’ve bought backpacks, clothes, weapons, and food, and then go to an easy area fully equipped, then they spawn AI’s or the Night Guest when you’re low on health or in your inbox. It seems like it’s constantly night and every single dollar I’ve spent on the game has been a waste. By level 45, I should have a base full of armor and weapons but I just have disappointment and frustration. Kefir should sell LDOE and Grim Soul to a company who actually cares about their consumers. I won’t spend another dollar on either game unless they adjust the balance on Grim Soul (I’m level 99 with tons of stuff on LDOE so don’t need to anyways). Of course I’ll get some response that doesn’t address anything I’ve mentioned like most reviews. Long story short, it’s a good game, but don’t spend a dime and don’t expect to have fun playing it.
