I have been playing the game for months now. And really enjoyed it. Finally found a fun and active neighborhood to join where we worked together to complete tasks and help each other out. Now with the latest update they have totally nerfed the market. Instead of players buying and selling with each other and the market updates every 10 minutes with several players with multiple bins of items they have replaced it with one that has 10 bins. And those items don’t change for 6 hours unless you spend 10 gems to get new items. On top of that where we had basically from over 100 possible bins when buying from other players we are down to 10...unless you spend gems to additional bins. The items they have vary and you cab find items that sold fast in the player’s market and you pay top price for them which was common in the player’s market as well. But you could also sell items at the highest price as well. Now you sell to no one (so you can’t sell to mates in need) but you can sell through your silo and barn...at the cheapest possible price. This also caused the regatta task to sell items to go away. One of my favorites to perform. Updates like this one will kill the game off because l am sure it is only the first in more to follow down the road to make you pay to play to get anywhere. I will give it some time to see what happens, but if money l spent on the game is going to upgrades like this...l will be keeping my money from now on.

This is a cute game. I love the concept, the characters, the tasks and games, the islands. But it is buggy, even glitchy. The market is full of items that are already sold, making it nearly useless. Many players have complained but there’s no response. The cost of items increasing as you move up levels is ridiculous. An apple tree should cost the same on every level. The in-game chat for neighbors works sporadically and is very limiting. The islands are cute and I love this separate game, but the cost to clear them is high. Again, complaints from everyone but silence from the developers. I’ve paid real money for them in the past, as I want to support the game. It’s at the point that I am not sure that I will give the game any more money until problems are fixed. And finally, the regatta. Fantastic concept, I love it and my neighborhood. But it needs an overhaul. The tasks are too low in points to make a serious run for placing in top 3, and this is after an update. So they made it harder. And there are teams, regularly from outside the United States, that rack up impossible points in the first few minutes of the race. It’s impossible, so something is going on. And again silence from the developers. I love this game but it needs attention, and the developers need to start communicating more than silly polls on their Facebook page.

This farm style game is pretty good but does have some elements that are maddening because it is not necessary for it to happen. Case in point, the Funky Market... you click on it and the market pops up with what looks like to be an assortment of items for you to click on, BUT even if you click on them immediately, there is NOTHING to select... everything is sold! My gripe is, why don’t the developers exclude all those that have sold everything from the list display. Only include things that are actually available at the moment. Yes, I know the stuff gets picked right away, but when I click on something that has 10 minutes to go, there is literally NOTHING in all the selections at the moment I click on it. That is not realistic, and it is frustrating. I got this response back from the developer which gives me the impression that they either don’t want to fix it, or they don’t know how to fix it... “Hello! Thank you for the review. We are sorry for the inconveniences and problems with the game. We are working on market and hope that we can fix it in future versions of the game. We understand your feelings and we are truly sorry that we cannot resolve this issue right now."

At first I was absolutely in love with this game. Leveling up was easy and it didn’t take a lot of time to make production items. Now it seems like it takes forever to make things because you have to wait an hour or more to make some things just to be able to wait longer to make something else out of what you just waited so long to make. Also, where are all the shovels?? I get lots of saws from gift boxes, but after I leveled up a bit, I stopped getting any shovels in the gift boxes. This makes it impossible to remove the nectar bushes that I need to produce honey, which I now need to make several production items. Now I have to spend gems to buy shovels if I really need the honey, which is becoming more frequent. I would like to see this aspect of the game replaced with the ability to just remove the expended trees and bushes. I already have to pay coins to buy them, I should be able to remove them without wasting the hard-earned gems. If the developers were to change production times and make removing trees and bushes easier, I’d almost definitely give this game 5 stars. As it is, it’s just another farming game that gets impossible to play without dumping tons of money into.

I’ve been playing this game for a month or so now, and I am addicted to it! It’s very fun, great way to pass the time. For the last week, I’ve been having problems with the app crashing. Especially when I go to the other islands. It started when I was going to “Faces of Antiquity”, when I would try to remove obstacles. Everything would get slow, and then the app would crash. I’ve made it past that island to the next one, and it’s still crashing almost every time when I try to remove obstacles, or when I try to return home. There have been a few times that I have also had it crash when I have been at my home farm. This is the only problem I have had with this game so far, but it’s making it harder and harder to play when it crashes on me dozens of times a day. I have a brand new iPhone and it is updated, so I know it has nothing to do with anything on my side. This is also the only app that I have that crashes. 😪 I would rate this a 5 if this problem was to be fixed.

I love the concept of this game! However, there are many many bugs that make this game so frustrating it’s not worth investing time in anymore. The challenges are impossible to finish or to make any progress on unless you spend money for gems to clear land. There is a gem trap on the challenges in the form of a pop up box that will pop up quickly at the same time you are clearly land and suddenly you’ve accidentally clicked on this random box and lost all of the gems you’ve worked hard to collect. There is a coon trap in the store where you click on items to buy, the store takes your coins, but you never get the items. Add to it the multitude of other problems that happen on a daily basis in this game and it’s worth taking a pass on spending time with an unreliable app as this seems to be. I have contacted customer support several times for lost items on my account. I never receive any response back except a predrafted response telling me how busy they are and how updates have been made. What updates? Where? And please tell us how that is helping the issue we are coming to you about! Telling us you have made updates without resolving our losses is as good as the zero response that I have also gotten in the past from support. Players, do yourself a favor and skip to another game that isn’t trying to scam you.

I was looking for an alternative to Township which has become a money grab for Playrix exploiting long time players. I though I had found it and was enjoying it despite some minor bugs and glitches (icons like energy or milk showing up in weird places on the map, etc.). However, the most recent update had a major impact on playability, and seriously impacted my decision to invest anymore time and effort in it. After 4 days and a lot of time and effort, I was close to completing the Dino Island event. Then they released a new update. The net result is that the island has reverted back to almost the beginning with the majority unexplored, my progress of 6 out of the ice dinosaur king tasks was wiped out, but I’m still showing I’m on that task now but with no progress. It took me 4 days to get this far. With the event ending in 2 days, I basically just have to give up. Sorry, but the QA is seriously lacking and it’s just not fun to have all your effort and time wiped out every time a new release introduces even more bugs. Time to find another, better quality app from a reliable developer.

I like the game but there’s a few things I would like to see change. When in neighborhoods you can only ask for items Every couple hours and it doesn’t allow you to pick how many items you need. Also, there should be a way to swap or buy from specific neighbors, by the time you go to their store to buy an item they put up for you, someone else already bought it. The regatta is cool but why can’t you do more than one task at a time? Again it takes hours to complete one task so why not be able to have several going at once. There’s too much time to just sit around waiting for products to complete. It gets boring and frustrating. Instead of having to use gems to finish producing products faster it should be coins instead. Also, takes long to level up, again frustrating and time consuming. Barn upgrades are costly too because you most often have to use gems which means your spending money to buy the gems. If that’s the case you should get at least 50 more spaces in the upgrade instead of just 15. I could go on but I’ll stop here.

I love this game, started playing after my favorite game was shut down. I do spend money on it because let’s face it that’s the only way to get anywhere. Today I decided to purchase the special going on and bought the 8$ one and the. The 25$ one and figured I’d buy the 15$ one to get the extra bonus. Said there was a problem with my internet connection which there wasn’t when I purchased the 25$ one but reinstalled it with no extra charge. So then purchasing the 15$ pack I had the same problem so I clicked it again said purchase complete but no gems so I clicked it again said purchase complete but still no gems so did this 2 more times still no gems but have been charged 15$ 4x’s. Now your telling me to contact technical support with proof of purchase but don’t tell me how to do this . I’ve looked everywhere and have not been able to find an email address for technical support. Really hope this gets taken care of because I really do enjoy playing this game and would hate to have to give it up for something new.

This game is fun but items tend to take a long time to be made. Because of this I play game once maybe twice a day. My barn filled up immediately and I am unable to collect anything to fulfill orders. I seem to get a lot of the items needed to expand my barn storage EXCEPT for wood. That is 100% impossible to get. On top of trying to find wood to increase storage wood is needed to make surfboards so I have to choose between fulfilling an order or increasing my barn. The fun little quests that pop up have a time limit of just a few days and to clear the islands is near impossible because of the amount of energy required. Like I said the game is fun and is great to pop in real fast to set items to be made and then close the game to move on better things. Thankful I have not spent actual money on this game I won’t. Maybe the developers need to actually listen to people’s reviews. Lower the time it takes on items that are take 30min-2 hours and maybe make it so wood drops more frequently or a factory where we can make wood.

*EDIT* The problem was not fixed with the new update. The load screen still gets stuck at 22% and says “unable to connect to server.” I have contacted the developers on multiple occasions to either no response, or to be told to access the settings in game (which I can’t do because I get stuck on the load screen.) I’ve contacted them through both Facebook and email with no fix or to be completely ignored. Their customer service is atrocious. I downloaded this game a few days ago and was instantly hooked. It had several things I have been looking for in a game. Several hours after downloading it, I connected the game to Facebook and was immediately booted from the game and upon restarting the game, the load screen was stuck at 22% and would not move. I contacted the Funky Bay Community on Facebook messenger and was told to go into the menu and report the bug.. issue is, I CAN’T get into the game to do this! I told them as much and have not gotten any further response. I deleted the app and redownloaded it, which worked but I lost all of my progress. After several hours, again I get booted and when I try to renter the game, it gets stuck on 23% and tells me it cannot connect to the server and to check my internet connection (which is fine, every other app requiring internet works fine.) Please fix this bug! I would love to continue playing and re-review to give 5 stars!

After a year of playing and spending quite a bit of money (because they make it impossible to play unless you spend actual money)and glitch after glitch after glitch they recently updated a couple of the games features that literally everyone on the Facebook group I’m in including myself HATE!!!! And it makes it really impossible to play anymore...for instance one ring to buy is now 675 coins when you sell one you make it’s 67 coins🙄 you can’t talk or help your team members anymore so all this time everyone took building friendships within their neighborhoods is a waste there’s literally no reason to have a neighborhood anymore...I could go on and on but what I’m getting at is the creators are just money hungry and don’t care about making a good game which I kind of already knew but after this new update they have completely ruined any fun I had playing the game so there goes a years work and money I spent trying to better my land for nothing!!! Also let me add I have written to bug report numerous times, once because gems I bought with my actual money just kept disappearing from my account like A LOT of gems and they takes MONTHS to respond if they do at all and it’s just always the same automated message never actually fix anything!

The developers are trying to make more money from us players by making us play with them instead of with real people. The store does not allow you to sell your produce or food anymore! Instead you have to sell everything from your barn or silo, but you can set your price. The game set it for you which is a fraction of what they charge us if we want to buy the same thing from them. The store doesn’t updates the selling items every 10 minutes but is now offer only a few items every 6 hours. This is also at a max price that they would charge us. For example, they offered 2 grilled potatoes at 734 coins, but if I want to sell my 2 grilled potatoes, I can only sell them at the price the developers set price which is only 74 coins. No way to change our price to make 734 like their price. At this selling rate, we will never make enough coins to buy those new buildings which are going up in prices as your level increased. The buildings are in the millions and we are making pennies off what we are selling. Unfair and no more fun to play! I’m ending this game and not playing it anymore unless they fix this new updates!!!

I just deleted this app. Was a lot of fun at first and was really excited to have found it. It quickly becomes obvious that you have to spend real money to get anywhere in the game. I have no problem supporting the developers and spending money, but it gets pretty ridiculous. Challenges in the form of new islands open up with a time limit of several days. To finish the challenge, you need to clear A LOT of brush, trees, rocks, etc which require a lot of energy. The sheer amount of energy required makes play frustrating and ultimately expensive if you want to finish the challenge. The bugs are numerous. The store to buy items is worthless at best. If you actually manage to find something that hasn’t already been sold, I’d buy it only to find the game is happy to take my coins without giving me the items. Contacting the developer proved worthless as there was zero response and the problem continued. The game crashed and kicked me out fairly regularly. The game that started out as a lot of fun just became too frustrating and annoying. Too bad because it could have easily been a 5 star game.
