This game is just a recreation of the toxic environment I had to endure as an audience member. It was February 17th 2016, and Melissa Joan Heart was the guest. They made us dance and kept it cold in there. And we couldn’t look at Ellen. They just used tricks of the camera to make it look like we were looking. We were in fact looking at monitors. It was awful, so awful that I have PTSD now and suffer from a gender neutral status when I was in fact gender binary. Playing this game gives me flash backs to that awful day. I would give it 1 star, but I’m afraid that the producers will come to my house and lock me in my closet and make me listen to dance music. Wait, I hear something at the door. I have to go......5 stars......

I had another “Yahtzee” game downloaded until I saw this. Sometimes just hearing her voice is enough to make me smile or laugh. The only thing I wish would change is that there are only 3-4 recordings of her making comments (yes, I love them as I said). I wish they’d add more every once in a while. I also feel like there should be more opportunities to get free dice (for tournaments or fun) other than playing a whole game. I’m sure knowing Ellen, she donates money made here to some charity or something. She’s awesome like that. Some people don’t HAVE the money to spend in apps though. I want coffee dice, da**it! That doesn’t affect me giving the app 5 stars or how much I like the game...more suggestions I guess?

I really enjoy this game, but it seems the game sends an alert; so I touch now, it automatically takes me directly to the main screen (the one with Ellen on the screen with the white dice with light blue dots) plays the music and then goes back to my icons not letting me continue play. What's up with that? Let me know when you take the complaints seriously and fix the problem I love Ellen, but this game needs a serious correction. Not even funny any more. I've enjoyed it in the past and would like to think that you as a company would like things to get better and people to enjoy your games again instead of threatening to drop out due to frustration. Please, please, please fix all the bugs in this program. Ellen always says to "be kind to one another." How kind is it of your company to ignore our pleas to fix this site.

I enjoy playing the game but it gets very frustrating and it is very evident how difficult it is to win dice whether playing Ellen’s crew or in a tournament. I totally get that when these games are created that it’s to make money but to keep the interest of the players it would be nice if you could throw the players a bone every so often. Not to mention how Ellen and/or her crew end up winning a game and at the last roll and you were winning and some how they win the game and you don’t get to see what they rolled and how they won. It also happens quite frequently that when a certain option is needed, whether a full house, one’s, six’s, a full House etc and you don’t roll anything at all. Don’t get me wrong I know that can happen but the probability that this happens as frequently as it does is wrong.

I have played this game for years. I enjoy playing all the different games. I also love playing the team games. My only complaint is the new tournaments are so awful and unfair. The tournament used to give you dice when you completed a league and now it’s just stupid balls and sticker packs. Also with extra dice you can now go up to 5 times your score so anyone with money buying dice can ALWAYS win. Also, the sticker packs are a complete waste of time; you get nothing for them and if I have to “Tap to continue” one more time I’m going to scream! So bring back the old tournament, get rid of the sticker packs and bring back the more frequent blue mega scratcher! This is a general consensus amongst members of the teams I’m on.

I love the new game it’s much more fun and the options are better. I don’t spend money like other people do or claim the game makes you spend. But I after playing for weeks now I have noticed that every time I win any type of scratchers all of a sudden I am not getting credit. Like the super scratcher for instance I have zero and I win one or two at a time and I claim them and nothing goes into the pot. You have no customer service to enlighten you of this problem. I know things happen but this is the only way to let you know that something is happening. Hoping you get this fixed.

It’s frustrating when you play against the staff and know they must have more dice rolls and “do-overs” then the average player because when you play against the staff vs playing against other players, the number of 5x Appalooza that they get which is about at least 2 for staff (per game) compared to anyone else (sometimes 0) is lame... so it’s not as fun to play against staff because it feels false and rigged and like they get an advantage... Oh well, it’s just a game and a fun way to turn off your stress and have some zone time.

I was playing a different yahtzee game (Your Move) that didn't push notifications for my turn, switched to this, aaaaand, no push notifications for my turn! :( I got a push notification for something else, but, I should have known, I use to have Scopely's Yahtzee with friends game and what I do not like about either of these games: No turn notifications. This is a simple function, should work. Get too many ads for tournaments and things that require in-app purchases. Wish I could just find a Yahtzee game I could play with friends without all the other garbage...just want to play Yahtzee, that's all. I'd pay one time for one without ads, but, I really hate all these games with "buy this" "buy that" "play this" "play that" pop-ups. It's obnoxious and annoying. APPLE: please make a way for people to pay for no-ads in any and all games, with a way to turn off notifications for anything except my turn. I want push notifications for my turn and that is all. Up the standard please! They won't do it as long as they can get away with it. I gave it one extra star only because I <3 Ellen DeGeneres. I WILL STEER AWAY FROM SCOPELY BRAND APPS FROM NOW ON! Deleting game.

I really enjoy this game, but much like its original, unbranded version, it is very resource heavy. I have a brand new iPhone11 and in 5 minutes of gameplay, my phone is burning up and my battery is depleting quickly. I even tried turning off notifications but it’s still doing that. However as far as gameplay, there are plenty of mini games and tournaments and things to collect, which makes it fun. The other thing is I buy upgrades in games but not this one. Too much money for little value. Ads are excessive and long, draining battery more. I would pay for a no-ads pass monthly if offered. And the super scratcher takes forever to get you should get more than just XP points...you get that on the simple scratchers.q

What I like more about Ellen’s game than Yahtzee is that I don’t get penalized for using a “do-over” for the next 3 turns!! I really don’t like that at all. I just started playing Ellen’s Dice but have played regular Yahtzee for about a year and a half. I certainly do wish extra rolls were cheaper!! That’s why I don’t play in tournaments but stick to playing other people... I sure wish they’d have a sale on bonus rolls once in a while! Yahtzee does. What’s wrong with Dice With Ellen having a sale on bonus rolls?!!! I have been happy that I’ve been able to receive free bonus rolls by watching ads. But now for some reason it stopped. I hit “watch ad” and it disappears and nothing happens. Believe me, I’ve spent PLENTY of money $$ buying bonus rolls and I’m not pleased the free ad watching bonus rolls disappeared....for what reason? Second review It’s obvious Ellen, whom I love, sold out to Scopely. Ugh. I’m soooo disappointed because I cannot keep buying bonus rolls for both Yahtzee games when they’re the same!! It’s also obvious no one cares whether I play or pay or not. Sayonara 👋

I’m particularly disappointed in this game because of the “Ellen” brand. While it may be naive, frankly I expect more from Ellen. This game seems to be a huge money grab and that’s just isn’t what I expect from Ellen Degeneres. :( I get the need to make money, but other than a couple instances (like connecting to FB) this game makes it virtually impossible to earn new dice without paying for diamonds. Even Pokémon Go allowed users who devoted time to continue play without breaking the bank. Additionally, tons of new dice are shown when my opponents “play” but there is no way how to find out what users need to do to get those dice. Allowing users to earn dice through achievements (and letting them know what they need to do to get there) would be a huge step up and make the game way more enjoyable.

I have a vision disability and need to be able to see the numbers on the dice. I have a complaint. It’s something that has been bothering me for a long time and before I complain about it on the App Store, I want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong. I spend a lot of money on here, probably at this point over $1000. I work mostly to collect fun dice. Many of them hurt my eyes or make it unclear to me what the number is because I have vision problems, so once I “win” them, they are basically trash to me. Then, I work hard again to try to collect enough tokens to “buy” another set of dice. It’s super disappointing to then win either the same set of crappy dice, or just as bad, another set of dice that are unusable to me. Then I play opposite players who aren’t anywhere near my level of the game and they have great dice that I’ve never even seen before. Fun, beautiful dice with clear numbers or a clear way of seeing the numbers. I feel strongly that when you work hard to get those tokens, you should be able to select among the eight or so dice within the theme of the month.

I will start with the good. It is a very fun game (when it works)! I like the Weekly Challenge, You're Welcome Wednesday, Ellen's Squad, and Ellen's Lucky Dice. There are many things that I don't like. The game crashes A LOT!! It crashes when you play Ellen's Squad, when a player challenges you, when an ad come up, and when you watch ads to earn dice. It is so FRUSTRATING! The Daily Tournaments are impossible to win and so are the custom dice games. I would like to use my diamonds to purchase more dice and frames. Also, I play with white dice at the beginning of most games. The developers must know these things are happening! For the life of me, I don't know why they do not fix it in an update!! Please do something!! Update: No more You’re Welcome Wednesdays, no new dice to purchase, the Weekly Challenge went from 11,000 points to 25,000 to win new dice, Ellen’s Squad has not changed it prizes, no new daily competitions. I think Scopely and Ellen have forgotten about this game. It’s a shame!

This game used to be a lot of fun. I’m competitive and losing was frustrating, but it was still fun for me. Recently, the game has been given a facelift. It’s now cartoonish. It used to feature actual people in Ellen’s life. Now, it’s full of D-level looking cartoons. The game features Ellen less and less with each update. One thing I’ve enjoyed about the game is the larger amount of tournaments, sub games, and rewards. I love having ways to play while waiting on players to take their turns. The worst thing about the app now is the ads. There are ads every two turns that you take. The same ads over and over. It makes me want to delete the game immediately. No app (especially with the expected frequent game play) should have this many ads at one time. I don’t mind ads, but they need to be less frequent. If you want to play a smooth game, that’s got an improving interface and doesn’t force ads upon you, choose a different app. Sorry.
