The Bug Butcher is an intense action shooter, wrapped in stylistic 2D art, and smeared with humor where timing and fierce reflexes are paramount!
The gameplay has an extremely simple core mechanic that is easy to understand, but hard to master. Plus, who doesn’t love a universe where you wield a beefy arsenal of military grade weaponry.
The core mechanics hold old ties from the classic arcade shooter “Super Pang” where you shoot vertically, but with modern day twists. You are Harry, a brash and tenacious exterminator who has a knack for decimating bugs.
Harry’s current assignment takes him to the infested futuristic research facility on planet Zoit. The surviving and dwindling number of scientists employed him for his slaughtering skills. Harry’s mission: survive until the decontamination of the building is complete, hoard coins like his life depended on it, and protect the scientists at all costs. Watch out for the spiders as they have a particular fondness for rubber encased scientists. After landing, you will move from room to room through the facility blasting rockets, lasers, and wielding the power of lighting upwards at anything not human.
Lots of fun but it needs a little more improvement
Sometimes when pressing the special attack it doesn't register causing the button to highlight but not do anything. Also maybe making the fire button a little bigger and getting a joystick would super helpful. I love this game and would highly appreciate a few updates
So good so far
I watched the preview :) and it’s getting crazier and crazier every level!!!Now I’m on the fifth level and there’s always a blue big bug smashing me!😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 * and that stupid bug keep getting out babies!!!* and that gun is a very crazy invader , also all kinds of bug kill me! This game is a very good game and I hate the Bugs!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!¡ this game is too challenging And the whole room is full of bugs!!
Awesome
Does not support mfi controllers despite the claims and the onscreen controls are garbage. I would like a refund if I can’t use my controller. Edit: apparently I just needed to restart my phone and everything worked just fine! Really excellent game that reminds my a bit of Cuphead 🤘
Fun, Addicting, Challenging!
This is a very fun game with great animation and graphics. It is incredibly challenging, yet very fun and addicting. Love the progression system of upgrading weapons and abilities. Load times can be a little long on some devices, but overall I highly recommend this game!
Fun game!
Unique yet oddly familiar, this game provides a difficult and satisfying gameplay. While there may not be many levels, the price tag is surely justified in the quality of what they have provided thus far.
Best IPhone game I have ever played
This game is so much fun, I have been playing the pc version since it first came out when I saw it for the IPhone I did not hesitate I love this game!
Glitch
There is a bug where the arrows dont appear in the start but I do like the look of the art.

This game is a blast. Super simple, but addictive and fast paced at the same time. Definitely worth $.99. One thing I would love to see change is control options. The left/right buttons are too close to the edge of the screen IMO. If you want to go left, you have very little screen area to hit for that command. Having the option to move the buttons slightly (similar to SF4 volt for iOS) would solve this entirely. Please?
Buttons not working sometimes
Sometimes the buttons won’t work, makes me mad as well you know. Having a good run combo is high and then I can’t shoot
Not playable
The movement arrows located too close to each other. Due to this problem, the gaming process became awful and irritable.
Can't even play
I was so excited to see this game got an update and fixes, but immediately disappointed to see that it's still broken. The arrow keys won't show up in the beginning of the game, making it impossible for me to even play.
Can't get past tutorial
Just bought the app. I can't get past the tutorial, arrows for movement don't appear. They appeared once in 10+ times I've closed and reopened the app, but can't get them to show up anymore. Suggestions?

Same as other reviews. Movement controls are not available after installing. Unable to do anything at all.
Doesn't work
Arrows do not show up. Have reinstalled multiple times and still doesn't work on iPad or iPhone.
