    Fun game and addictive.

Overall I have a fun time setting up my team and waiting for that next great loot item to appear. I think the way the game plays is well done. If I could change anything it’d be for an option to make certain classes use certain attacks in auto mode more often or change the requirements for mages spells to be activated for example how most mages only use spells on 3 or more enemies in auto mode to have an option for it to activate on even every enemy or bosses in particular. Also one complaint I have is that regenerative items and perks for mana and hp says per turn but doesn’t take effect at the beginning of a level even though I consider that part of the turn. I feel it makes many regeneration perks almost worthless at times. But hope to see some more done with the game as it’s definitely fun or maybe even a sequel eventually.

    An anticipated arrival

I played the first game when I was like in 6th or 7th grade (now I’m a sophomore going to junior) and when I did, I was a little nervous because I didn’t know how the game would be, but after 3 hours of playing, I fell in love with everything, from the types of characters, to the different sodas, to the cool and retro feel of gaming. When SD2 came out, I instantly downloaded the game, and after a while of hardcore gaming, I fell in love AGAIN! Everything from the crafting system to the funny dialogue, to the new cool relics, even the funny janitor miniboss was cool. SD2 was worth the wait, even if some of the old items I love aren’t in the game, I found that this game was more than what it seems and so I want to thank the people behind the development, story, graphics, everything for bringing me into the world of Soda Dungeon, and thank you for making a masterpiece of a sequel and honoring the O.G.

    Wow just wow

I’ve been a huge fan of soda dungeons for years now and with the sequel on its way I decided now was the time for a review. This game is actually amazing and probably my favorite rpg about soda ever. There’s so much to do different ways to play and the mechanics are refreshing. However as much as I love this game it has a few things I think could be refined in the sequel. Maybe make it a little more RPG focused and just a little less casual. I only say it because it basically turns into an Idle game mid way through so it seems kinda counterintuitive to frame it as an rpg only to have it become an idle game. 2 as for relics they are awesome and add a lot to how the game plays although you can’t really pick what moves you unlock for what and I would love to see some of that in games to come. As a person who doesn’t review basically at all this is truly a game worth rating.

    App broken by iOS 13

I’m a late adopter for iOS updates but this morning I finally updated from 12 to 13 and much to my immense disappointment the update appears to have broken the game, the issue in question is constant freezing and frame drops, it’s essentially unplayable now. Please fix this issue, this is the only game I play on mobile. Between all 3 of my saves I have 185 hours poured into this game and I really want to keep playing it :( as the game is really quite good and I don’t mean good for a phone game, lately I have been playing the steam game and have about 40 hours into it so far but I don’t really have many opportunities to play the steam version. Please fix this devs please

Love this game! I have some suggestions

This game is amazing!!! I literally have over 80 hours put into it, and I’m in the last dimension. With that being said, I have some suggestions. I would like to see the magic clock go faster. I am tired of banging my head against a wall as I listen to music waiting for my run to be over. Some more pets would also be very cool. Possibly one that gave more essence or one with better item chance. Also, it would help if you could have a closet save. What I mean is that I have an option of which load-out I want to use, instead of having one coat save at a time. Anyways, I really do love this game and I hope it continues to grow and update!

    Soda Dungeon is great

I haven't played a lot of JRPGs, the ones I did play were fantastic, they put me on a great adventure with amazing stories to tell. Soda Dungeon is one of them. This game has been crafted in such a way that makes going through the adventure so much fun! There are many different items, swords, Shields and armor to collect. There is a real strategy based on the characters you choose to enhance your team composition. There is a big grind, but it's fun and works very well for mobile. I love the idea of building this game around sodas / drinks. It's so smart! I very much appreciate that this game is free to play, ads aren't super annoying which is great. However the idea of pay to unlock more tokens which can make your progression faster is kind of annoying and implies the "pay to win" method in some regards. Also the 4 hour cooldown of playing through the 3v3 tournament is kind of annoying but does exemplify the mobility. I would love to see a Nintendo Switch port of this game it can definitely work! Overall you should definitely play Soda Dunegon, it's worth your time!

How is this a free to play MOBILE game?

This game is beautiful, straight up beautiful. For a free-to-play mobile game, it has incredibly impressed me throughout my time with it. While, (of course) there’s problems, there are (almost) overshadowed by the true brain boggle of this being such a good game. While crashing and being overall finicky at times is not uncommon, the game is so accessible that usually, you’re not the one noticing them. While the “freemium” aspect was still there, it isn’t shoved down your throat like many other mobile games out there. Though I wish there were more options in the menu (either one). For example, more sound options. The music is fantastic but the sound effects while fighting are so obnoxiously loud. While the game isn’t necessarily “addicting”, it’s so easy just to grab some tavern members and turn auto battle on and turn it off when things get tricky. Though I would love to get into more detail of what could be improved, in short, this games amazing! By the way, the music is surprisingly fantastic.

    Almost there...

This is a pretty fun and inspired retro 8 bit game. There's plenty of tongue in cheek references and the character designs are well done. The game was plays well and the tutorials do a good job of telling you everything you need to know to play while hold my back a few surprises to discover. Where I find the game lacking, however, is in the equipment selection. There are lots of items to choose from, but there are really only a few items to choose as there is almost always a clear best choice. A clear example of this is staves versus wands. There is literally no reason, other than not having any in your inventory, to ever choose a staff over a wand. The basic wand is easily 1 to 2 levels above a staff of the same rank. It would be nice to see some sort of secondary effects on some of these items in order to incentivize different equipment load outs. Overall this game is a fun little distraction from the everyday grind and may even give you a chuckle or 2. Free to play with micro transactions that won't break the bank.

    Very interesting and cool, buuuuut....

The game is pretty neat, but the controls are pretty finicky (mainly any menu controls). I’m sorry, but I shouldn’t have to tap the screen twice for it to leave a menu, and before anyone thinks I’m just being lazy, the reason it shouldn’t “require” two taps is because more than half the time when I tap the screen the second time (which I have to do or nothing happens), it completely leaves the tavern, or when I’m in the dungeon, and try to open the settings, I have to click the settings button, then tap the screen where the settings shown up, or the settings screen will just flash and disappear. It’s just plain annoying that I have to tap the actual button and then tap the screen again to do practically anything in the game, and not even the ads are that annoying, it’s just the menus.

    Good but.....

First of all I am going to say the things about this game. 1) I love the whole tavern aspect and and I find it very satisfying to upgrade it. 2) In this game you are always progressing in someway stopping it from being a boring grind fest. 3) Love how you have to hire new adventurous warriors after every trip to the dungeon letting you try new warrior combos. 4) I like games that make start from the beginning keeping the really important stuff (like your tavern) and gaining a relic. In the game you get a special soda of your choosing and a relic that you don’t get to choose. Anyway it is safe to say that the game nails this aspect. Now the things I hate 🙄 1) I can’t here the music over all the fighting sounds and I can’t individually turn down the sound affects. Which is a bummer because when I do get to hear the music it is amazing. 2) the boss designs in this game are cool except there’s like only 12 of them and the rest of the bosses are the same just different colors! 3) You can hire the shopkeeper, wizard, bartender, and gladiator but to do that you have to give them a unknown amount of a item which the game doesn’t tell you how to get! Please fix these mistakes!

Game is pretty good with some major flaws

This is a good dungeon crawl game. Humorous with great 8 bit graphics. After playing through 3 dimensions there are two major flaws which are probably stopping me from continuing. The biggest flaw is the ad playing mechanism. You depend on ads to double your bank interest ,and most importantly, to revive your whole party once an hour. Unfortunately, often it freezes when trying to retrieve and play an ad. So you lose your ability to raise your party, must force quit, and you are spawned back at the tavern. Very disappointing. The second thing is that it’s very difficult to gain reputation after dimension 2 if you’ve already bought most of the Tavern items. Other minor flaws is that in the special comedy dimension, if it’s more difficult than the regular dungeon, why is the loot the same drop as the regular dungeon? Lastly, it would have been nice if I was told to spend all my gold before leaving dimension 1. It wasn’t completely clear what would carry over and what would not when you go to the higher dimension. I feel in app purchase offers are completely reasonable, but the ad freeze when trying to revive the party once an hour has been so bad, I probably won’t be continuing.

    Fun game early on

The game is fun in the first dimension. The progression is good, you get new gear at a decent rate as well as new characters and upgrades for your tavern. After the first dimension, however, it starts to go down hill. Within the first probably 20 levels you get lvl2 of the gear you got in the first dimension which makes sense. But even after level 100, heck even 200 In the second dimension you're still getting only lvl 2 gear or basic gear which will not help you whatsoever. Even in dimension 3 past level 100 you still get basic or lvl 2 gear. The game difficulty progresses more quickly than the gear you get which makes it difficult and just another grind game. I'm not saying make it easy but a broader selection of gear especially past dimension 2 would be better.
