    Enjoyable game

I originally gave it 3 stars because I found the new graphics hard to read, but I found the option to revert to old graphics and all is well.

Great adaptation of my favorite board game.

Really nicely done adaptation of one of my favorite board games. Beautiful art. Nice, simple and relatively intuitive UI. I’ve been playing this on my iPad Mini and haven’t had any issues at all with it. I’m particularly a big fan of the 1 player campaign mode since it’s kind of fiendish in its difficulty even if you’re a seasoned suburbia player. The AI on the pass and play mode is a bit easy, though. Sorry to hear so many folks are having tech glitches with the game but I’ve no doubt the team involved will get it patched up and hopefully you’ll change your reviews for a really nicely implemented game.

    Superb Suburbia

A beautifully constructed and addictive game with playing options between the campaign and local play. Some suggestions would be to add and an "undo" button. For example while moving a tile if you accidentally hit the check mark you're screwed. A minor point would be to add a "play again" option which would be nice so you don't have to select the players each game. Some stats would be a nice addition also. These suggestions do not take away the enjoyment of a terrific game, excellent job.

    Excellent adaptation

This is a wonderful board game transcribed into the digital world. I love the real world board game, but I also love being able to play solo on my iPad. The solo campaign is challenging. The sensibility of each city in the solo game is amusing. (I live in Atlanta and could hardly wait to show my spouse how our town is depicted.) I definitely recommend this app if you are interested in learning the board game quickly or if you want to hone your skills. If you have a German board game fan in your household, this would be a good choice. Will raise my rating to 5 stars when the Suburbia Inc. expansion is added. And I can hardly wait to see more cities added to the solo game. I wonder what Washington, D.C. will look like?

Great game, a few key tweaks from five stars.

I play a lot of asynchronous multiplayer on this game and I feel like it would be helpful for me to see the moves my opponent made when I boot it up after being away from it. Right now I have to look at the game log, look at their board and deduce what changed based on this static information. Don't tell Me what happened, Show me what happened! Also multiplayer in general isn't as smooth and streamlined as it could be. Every game I have going I have to constantly relog back into the multiplayer screen and refresh via the Game Center button. Tighten up this part of the he game and we'll have a five star experience!

    Interesting, different, challenging

It’s quite clean, graphically, though it seems to have a bit of trouble fitting onto an iPad screen - on some levels you end up scrolling quite a bit too much. It has some very poor instructions at various points - multiple times I’ve “lost” a level because the instructions were completely unclear, and I couldn’t tell until the first failure what they actually wanted. If you’re patient enough to ignore that, you do get past it eventually. The gameplay itself is very cerebral - you need to think pretty far ahead in order to stand a reasonable chance of success. The single-player levels offer an interesting variety of challenges, though the difficulty thereof varies randomly from trivial to completely unforgiving. It’d be nice if they’d balanced them a little better - it’s frustrating to not be able to actually pick an appropriate difficulty level. On a related note, it’d be better to begin with if it just awarded you up to three stars depending on your degree of success, rather than making you choose the target number of stars at the outset and then giving you a mere pass or fail against them. It’s needlessly frustrating to exceed the three-star requirements while playing on only one-star, and missing all credit for your achievement.

    Challenging single player

The single player campaign is challenging and enjoyable, but really needs a "Replay" button. It's rather inefficient (read: annoying) to have to quit to the city selection screen to replay the city challenge you just lost, or received a bum opening market in. Please add a "Replay" button to the (i) popup (that sows the EXIT button) and also to the summary screen at the end of the game, especially when you fail. Having never played the physical boardgame, I must say the tutorial leaves much to be desired. While it tells me quite clearly how everything works, it is rather short on the WHY. I had to download the full rules to understand the mechanics of the game.

    Still buggy, especially in multiplayer.

Great game. Still a weak app after the first patch. I’ve played two single player that seemed to go OK. Multiplayer is a nightmare. Multiplayer Interface is weak compared to other games of its type. Opponent Automatch is weird if not non-existent, when taking a standard tile it never asked me to discard from the offer, it locked up on my turn until i viewed the opponents board, then the game score totally reset at the end without warning while leaving our boards intact. I would love for this to be executed better, it seem like a great game but the app is even turning be off to even buy the tabletop version.

    Bugs

Updated graphics are super cute but I just caught my newly purchased tiles not increasing my income (yellow warehouse +2 for every touching blue business & +5 for blue new car dealership + another +2 for touching yellow warehouse. 🙁. If purchases don’t increase my scores, it’s not so fun.

Confused and Needs Updates, But Nice Potential

Seems like this could be a great strategy game that is interactive, and I like all the multiplayer options. However, like the previous poster indicated, the rules/tutorial are lacking in explaining how the balance between the various items work and how they are calculated. For me, I'm mostly confused with how to increase "reputation." I looked everywhere in the game and can't find clarification. So, I'm currently playing blindly by dragging tiles to the board and simply choosing the one that appears to have the best affect. Speaking of affects, some points apparently occur AFTER placing a tile, and I'm lost as to how to calculate this. Finally, there is no way to view the rules once you're in the campaign, which makes the game a bit frustrating since you are told that you can't exit without losing all of your progress. Rules should be viewable in the game and there should be a save option for games so you can come back to a game later. These things being said, the game has great potential, which is why I kept the rating where it is. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but if I did, and I experienced what people are saying, I'd rate only 1 star until fixed.

New writing on tiles is way, way to small

The new tiles are gorgeous, however, I own an iPad Pro and even on this large 10-inch screen I can’t read the incredibly small writing on the tiles. :/ I’m sure the printed tiles will be easier to read, but unfortunately, the online game is now dead to me. :(

    No multiplayer

No multiplayer which is the whole reason the game is any good?

    Bugs galore still

I waited for the first update to shell out the 4.99 for this game hoping all the issues I had read previously were resolved and I'm disappointed. While I'm sure local play (which still deceives because this implies being able to play others on the same local wifi or Bluetooth - which it doesn't and should be changed back to pass and play since that's really what it is) may be working better, online multiplayer is terrible. We got two rounds in (three iPads in same room on same wifi using online multi option) and one player's turn would never finalize so we could never get to the next player's turn. Whether it was a server issue or not, I do not know. The tile was placed, the check mark tapped and stats updated but then hung there indefinitely. Even after forcing the app quit and retrying - since no other option could be made. Local online via wifi or Bluetooth is a must. Shame it isn't an option since pretty much every other game of this caliber and prestige has the option. It seems the creators of this game haven't learned from the masters (Carcassone, Ascension, Lords of Warerdeep, etc.). And was it even playtested? Please please please make this game all it really can be - because right now, I'd rather play my physical copy than this sadly lacking and buggy app.

    Unsure about the app

I am a very long time fan of this game and no it well. I just got the app and I like the app as well. However, after playing two games and being confused about how the app was adding up my income, I decided to double check it. I am very confident that it is not adding up my income correctly. It is hard to tell because you can’t see how many deductions you have from the population board, but I am showing that I should have an income of 26 minus population deductions. My population is 28. The game is showing me with an income of 15. If it isn’t adding up the effects of the tiles correctly then the game is unplayable because you cannot strategically select tiles. I would really appreciate a response, refund, or help in understanding this. Maybe I am missing something, but like I said, I am a long time fan of the board game and know it well. I don’t think I am mistaken.
