Fun arcade variation of pool
This was a great surprise. Tried it tonight because it was free, and discovered a game that I will keep on my iPad a long time. It's going to be hard to go back to playing conventional pool after enjoying this clever variation.
Fun!
Took a chance and tried this out, now it's one of my favorite games on my iPad. Well worth it!! It's like they took pool and added an arcade game.
Really nice recreation of the one at ninjakiwi.com
I played this for free at the ninja kiwi website years ago. But now I got it on my iPad it has maps now a frenzy mode and it’s a lot better. I really enjoyed frenzy mode I made it to level 10. It was a crazy game mode. I also tried normal mode and it was also lots of fun. 5 stars
Something different
This game is so very different from conventional pool, that it's really its own unique game. It's inspired by pool, yes - there are 4 corners, a table, a white ball, and a poolstick to hit the other balls into the corner pockets, but that's where the similarities stop. First of all, there are no opponents other than yourself. Your only goal is to clear each table of all the other balls without knocking the white ball into a corner pocket (which = death). The challenge is that the tables are packed with balls and power ups, explosions, pinball effects, duplicators, and more, which can totally change the gameplay and send you to your death, or help you score, depending on your shot and its consequences. Keeping your ball out of the corner pockets is harder than you'd think, but if you use good Pool shots you can succeed. The controls in this game are simple, easy to use, and work well, and give you control over the direction and power of your shots on the fly. You can either slowly take your time to make a shot, or rapidly shoot while in motion. You can even save the white ball from falling into a corner pocket by reshooting it before it falls in, but you gotta be quick! There's also a Frenzy gamemode to play, a whole separate board with different ball arrangements and way more powerups and explosive gameplay, but each level is timed 1 minute in which you must clear all the balls. Sounds and music are also good, or you can play your own iPod music. Graphics are nice HD quality. Overall, Power Pool is something inspired by, but very different from Pool, and the end result is very fun! Recommended!
Worst piece of crap ever.
I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. Piece of crap
