Labyrinth draws its excellence from the past.

Yes, I too had the actual wooden Labyrinth game when I was a kid. I loved that game and was sorry it was lost to me over the years. Now I have it back and I can carry it in my pocket! This game is a truly wonderful iteration of the old wooden game, right down to the wood! Believe it or not, the wood and now the new sounds really do add to the "atmosphere" of this game. The other labyrinth-style games use the more techno graphics and whiz-bang sounds and you know what? For me, they're really a turn-off. There are enough of those GenX arcade games available if you want them with the mind blowing sounds and animated graphics. This game goes back to the more simple days when games grabbed your attention not by screaming at you with mind-numbing effects but rather by engrossing you with unswerving concentration and demanding tactile skills. This game draws from that era and stands out in a sea of high-tech boring sameness. If you want some quiet solitude with a totally engrossing, entertaining game on your iPhone, THIS is it!

FUN CLASSIC STEEL BALL MAZE !

The free version of this app has very few mazes and kind of on the easy side for those of us who used to play the REAL thing years ago. The paid full version was a surprise, you get a LOT more mazes. The "ball" rolls smoothly, easy to control and does respond well to fast and slow tilting. It's even possible to create your own mazes. Your device has to be calibrated, leveled, but it does not prompt you to do it, check settings before starting. It's addicting and fun, 4 stars only because you have to pay for the bulk of the mazes.

Fun game but not optimized for newer devices

It’s fun and addicting but it doesn’t cover the full screen on newer Apple devices

    Throwback!

I loved this game ever since I first downloaded it from Installer. It’s still fun all these years later, but it is not optimized for iPhone X. I’d love an update for notched phones.

    Nice but needs improvements

Pros: Nice time killer. Cons: The "calibration" does not really work. I can lay the phone on a perfectly flat (and level, as tested by a real 4 foot level) table, and yet when I return to play mode, the ball will move without me moving the phone in anyway. Not only that but it seems that the calibration does not hold either when you quit the game and come back to it, or when switching between different level packs. The developers need to work on this and make the calibration "stick." Also induces Irritability Syndrome... you get so engrossed in controlling the ball that anything that disturbs your concentration (wife, phone etc.) leads to irritation and worse, arguments and fights...perhaps a pause mode would help? If the calibration issue is fixed the app deserves a 5 star rating. As it is now, it deserves only 3 stars.

    After Updating, Purchased Levels Gone

After updating to 1.9.3 from 1.9.2, only the Official Easy level pack was present, instead of five Official packs and many more packs I had downloaded. Clicking the Restore Purchases button in the app's Settings told me purchases had been restored, but no levels were added. Plus there was an ad at the top of the level selection screen which I would hope is only displayed to users with the initial free version. I also did not see any way to purchase the IAP (that I already have bought). I deleted 1.9.3 and reinstalled 1.9.2 which I had saved outside iTunes on my computer, and all the level packs were available as before. Seems like a major bug in this release.

    Not free

This game was advertised as "free" for a limited time, with no $4.99 charge (yeah, I know, it says $2.99 here, but it was originally $4.99) for the upgrade. Well, guess what? After you open the app it still asks for the $4.99 to upgrade to the full version. More bait and switch in the app world. Don't buy from this developer, I know I won't!
