An Amazing Rhythm Game, an OK Gacha Game

D4DJ is packed to the brim with music both original to the series and with anime and video game music covers. It’s insane how many music options there are here. The gameplay is solid and works well on a phone (but man, I wish this was a proper console release instead...). From the purely rhythm side of this game, it’s an A+. The Gacha though... like with Love Live SIF, this game prevents you from getting high scores unless you have high rarity units and have those units trained to the highest levels. Doing that is kinder here than in SIF (you don’t need multiple copies of characters), but it still means that the player must participate in the Gacha to do well in certain rankings, which is a shame. Nonetheless, I rank this 5-stars because of how good a rhythm game it is.

    Game is amazing.

This game is amazing. The look of the game is also just phenomenal. About other reviews: People have given bad reviews about transfers when it was stated in an announcement that some cards cant be transferred cause of licensing. About device crashing: Theres complaints about devices being compatible but unable to get past the title screen. Your device prolly can't handle the game itself even though its "compatible". Its unfortunate but theres nothing much to do about it Ps - Im only able to play 2 multi lives on phone before crashing but my ipad can handle it perfectly so it **might** be an issue with memory or ram or somethin, idk im not a tech expert

    English Server Great So Far

Loving the English version of D4DJ! I've played the Japanese version since release, and have enjoyed every bit of it. I've more or less dropped a handful of idol-based mobile rhythm games to focus more on D4DJ. The gameplay is a lot more intense and fun compared to most touch-tap games I've been playing for years. I play Bemani games mostly, so this game being slightly comparable to anything, it'd have to be Beatmania IIDX. Normal touch songs are ramped up in D4DJ with sliders and turntable scratches, which keeps you on your toes and challenging yourself to get better and better. The girls are all really interesting and funny. I think it's bushiroad's best new IP yet.

    LOVE THIS GAME PLS

This game is extraordinary i played the game in the japan version, i didn't understand any of it but how this game transitions the songs and how the game files are being downloaded WHILE you play so you don’t have to be in a loading screen for 4 hours Now that the english version is out i can finally understand the story line and its GREAT!! I watched the anime but i really wanted to know how the other units came to be ,, currently loving MERM4ID storyline 😭‼️ Absolutely adore the game ! And how the developers put thought and have given the access to transfer your data to japan to America,, it helped me ALOT ! If you haven’t tried the game PLEASE do its amazing 😭

    This game is soooo good!

Ok let me just say, THIS IS BETTER THAN SOME GAMES I PLAY ON MY COMPUTER. That’s how good it is. I personally am not a huge fan of anime, but however the cats are adorable. They are like small balls of fluff. If they have a cat in there profile picture, they are on my time. Oh and the gameplay? Amazing. It’s a real challenge and has a skill level for everybody. I’m recommending this game to all of my friends. The only thing I would change is that in some cases, when you level up a character with limit break, it removes the cat! If you can make an even cuter cat alongside them I would be soo happy!

    Good !

I just got the app so ya but so fair it looks really good ! I love a lot of the characters designs I hope I will love this as much as bandori ! I don’t think anything needs to be fix to my knowledge! But a question are you ever gonna do like anime x bandori or like anime x D4DJ I think that would be really cool like Danganronpa or sailor moon ? And a another thang I love the I do animations for Ramsey talk and stuff and how detailed the designs are! 💓💓 I would recommend this to a lot of people sorry this review was so long I just think this game is vary cool !

If guitar hero was a mobile game

When I first saw this game my first thought was that it reminded me a lot of guitar hero. After playing for about a month. I like it MORE than any other rhythm/music game I’ve ever played. Totally free to play but if you want to spend money you can. It’s not pay to win thankfully. And the gatcha mechanic of this game is entertaining but also generous in what it gives you. Would recommend if you like music games at all or anime or both :)

    Haruna

Haruna Kasuga (春日春奈, Kasuga Haruna) is a character in the D4DJ franchise and is a member of the group Lyrical Lily. Haruna has long, straight, maroon hair that reaches the middle of her back. Her eyes are a gold color. Haruna is an earnest girl who belongs to her high school's disciplinary committee. Her softhearted nature always gets her involved in all sorts of trouble. She pretends to not hold any interest in DJ activities, but she can't hide her love of audio equipment which she learned from her father. ⟟ LOVE THIS GAME—

if you like Love Live! or Bandori this is definitely another game you’d like. It has way more thing to try and time up which makes it more difficult yet more fun at the same time?! ⟟ highly suggest getting this if you’ve played rhythm games before (if not start with love live!) and you can control what you want to tap! so if u wanna focus on one thing at once u can! anyways. ⟟ love this game

    Hololive = 5 stars

This game brought all the songs from the JP version, including the Hololive songs! Instant 5 stars for including them! This game is just like Bang Dream but with a more DJ focused twist with somewhat increased difficulty if you are new to rhythm games BUT there is a auto mode so you can just decide to do the easy parts but if you are familiar with them, you will master it in less than 30 min.

Great way to stay in D4DJ after First Mix anime!

I recently had watched through the D4DJ First Mix anime series (just one season, hope more is coming!) and feel absolutely in love with it; I’m glad the English version of this game happened to come out not too long after I watched because this is a great way to feel connected to the universe of D4DJ in general and also to really learn more about the other units. Only thing I don’t like is all the gacha elements and the extremely high real money cost associated with them; I never liked gacha money-sinks, and I won’t engage with any paid elements here, so I really hope I can sustain the fun being a free only player... we’ll see!

I love it but I have some issues

It’s an amazing game I originally downloaded it as a joke because I thought you couldn’t use thumbs but I quickly got hooked and that’s brings me to where I am today and now I am suspended for a month because I have bad internet that disconnects me a lot it only happened 3 or 2 times so I am banned from multi live- oh wait I’m not banned anymore I can get in that’s weird we’ll the rating will stay sorry if this review isn’t helpful it’s my first one

Good Game (But Has a Major Issue)

I love rhythm games and I’ve played both Love Live SiF and Bang Dream for years now. This game has all the makings of a good rhythm game: interesting mechanics, cute characters, and good songs. There’s just one issue for me. Every time I try to level up my characters the game just freezes. I’m pretty sure this isn’t an issue with my wifi or my phone because I’ve tried using data as well as resetting my phone and clearing storage. I don’t know how to fix this issue and it’s making the game go a bit slowly since I can’t score higher than a C on any song. I couldn’t find any FAQ’s on this either so if anyone knows anything it would be appreciated.

    Beware when transferring from JP

Game is running well. Transferred from JP app but doesn’t transfer all of my chara. Don’t transfer yet, might need to wait for rerun events, cause some of my chara from Hololive and Monster Hunter collab didn’t carry over. Other than that runs just like the JP version so far. Would be five if I knew I could transfer all of my chara. The main draws are transferable and the Quintet collab seems to be there too, but I don’t know cause unfortunately I didn’t draw any of the 5 sisters. For new players this is a 5, transfers you’ll either put 4, 3, or less probably.
