Very solid and entertaining idle game

I have genuinely enjoyed every moment I’ve played this game. I have AdVenture Capitalist and Communist as well and I’ve gotta say this is my favorite of the three. As usual, it’s not pay to win and they don’t force ads onto you, which is something I’ve always liked. The layout is pleasing to the eye and, while it’s reminiscent of Communist, it has a different mood of being not only more futuristic, but professional. The leveling up is also a bit faster and the historical basis is very fun to see who exactly boosts what. The Egypt event actually made me do some research into what those historical figures actually did. The only glitch I’ve experienced an audio bug in the Japan event where the katana menu opening is replaced with a loud high pitched beep, which can be annoying when swapping back through tabs, but otherwise there have been no terrible technical issues. I’m excited to see what gets added to the game!

    Please fix this bug!

This game is awesome! I love the little sound effects and the new researchers! You guys really put a nice twist on this one. Now, as some of you may know, there’s an audio problem that occurs when a certain advertisement is queued to play (the merge quest ad) or has already played. All you hear is the dude beating enemies with a stick in the background. And it doesn’t matter if you turn off music or sound effects volume, no, it just keeps going. The same bug is in a lot of other games too. Even if you close out the game and reopen it, it’s back. The only way to stop it is to watch a different ad in game, close the game again and reopen it. I’m almost positive the developers of merge quest are money hungry and try to get you to buy their game, but nope, it’s not happening.

    Love this game

I’ve played ad cap, ad comm, and now this. I love them all, I feel like they’re incremental games done right! The way they’re set up makes it fun while you play, and it’s always fun when you come back to the game! This game doesn’t punish you or make you feel like you lose progress if you don’t log in every day. The events are fun and are every few days so there is always something to do! I love that the ads are completely optional, I’ve quit many games because they force ads down your throat. The only thing I’d change about this game is that I’d add a monthly subscription to remove ads completely. There is a season pass thing which is nice, but I would pay more to remove ads if I could

    Follow this advice

This is a clone of adventure communist. If you liked that one, you will this one. This is a FTP game in the best sense. You shouldn’t spend a dime, as you aren’t competing against human players. There are no leaderboards, figure this app can keep you busy for two years. Only ads come up is if you want boosts. Play the events, you can get top 10% easy. DO NOT be fooled in spending $$ trying to chase the fictional leaderboard, it’s there to encourage spending. You will level fast initially and in about 18 mo’s, will take a week per level. Update: they claim there IS a leaderboard. Okay than. How does anyone EVER know I’m number 1? Why aren’t names listed on leaderboard? Huh smart guy

If you like idle games, this will hit the right marks

It’s reminiscent of AdCap in its heyday; not pushing too hard for ad views / IAPs, but with a careful balance that makes videos seem worth it, and enough free content to not feel exploitative. In-game events run every few days, so even if your main game starts slowing down, you still feel like you’re movin’ along swiftly. While I have yet to max an event without paying, I am still able to make enough progress to get some rare cards and enough gems to keep me truckin’. Recently, a game update locked some people out of the game with perpetual crashes. After emailing the support staff, they worked to get me back into the game, and provided a bit of gem-based compensation for the missed event time. Overall, the support experience was what made this review worth writing. Making your playerbase feel heard and valued is always something to be commended.

Idea for a new event 💡

As of March 2021,AdVenture Ages has only two events one about Egypt 🇪🇬 and one about Japan 🇯🇵.so,my Idea is to make one about colonial United States 🇺🇸 and the 3 resources are muskets, drums and...amendments? And make the blonde guy wear an colonial uniform and make some of the heroes Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington,John Adams,John Jay,and Thomas Jefferson,James Madison and many more if any of these heroes are in the main game, you can reuse them because I won’t really mind because on the mini-events of AdVenture Communist you reuse researchers from the main game so do agree with my idea yes or no?

    Good but a little disappointing

If you are new to idle games, you’ll likely enjoy this one. It will surely keep you busy for a while with cards to collects, prestige resets and events. If you are already playing another of their games, Adventure Communist, then you know what to expect. The downside is that it is the exact same game as AC with the only real difference being lack of flavor text on the cards. I liked that Adventure Capitalist and Adventure Communist felt like really different games, so I was excited to see what new things would be in store with this one. Since it’s just a copy though, I don’t believe I’ll play it, unless there are some unique mechanics added at some point.

    Most events unbeatable without $

I really enjoyed this game for a few months. Progress was balanced and the events helped keep the grindier bits of the game fresh and enjoyable. However, I had a vacation for a couple weeks and really put an effort into trying to max out and get through level 20 in the events. I didn’t want to pay to have to do this and even had a fair bit of gems saved through F2P to help push me through the tougher aspects of the events. I probably put in 8-10 hours over the course of the 4 day event, watching all the event ads I possibly could.(even waking up in the middle of the night to not miss out on loot boxes). This is A LOT of time to be spending on an idle game. I always would end up somewhere in the middle of the top 1%. I never made it past level 18 in the Japanese or Egyptian events. Even the top 1% aren’t maxing out the events? The regular game became too slow to really even check on until the events started once a week(level ~50). I’m all up for a challenge but putting forth nearly full (Free) effort did not reward the user enough to continue the Grind. Thanks for a few months of fun growth, but ultimately disappointing.

Not what I’ve come to expect

I’ve been a long time fan. This game is good and my favorite so far. If it wasn’t for the bugs it would get 5 star. Unfortunately it is still buggy and crashes way too often. The Aztec event is especially crash prone, often +10 times a day. It can be watching a video, tapping a button or just leaving it alone for too long. Switching apps seems to accelerate the time between crashes. Restarts and reboots don’t help much. And sadly the crashes mean you loose rare drops and pop capsules, dropping your rank in the events. If you don’t have a video queued up you loose out on the rare capsules. Would love to see these issues fixed. I lost a lot of gems because of this, trying to keep my event ranking.

    Good Enough to Keep

As an idle game, the app does good in keeping the player interested enough to come back, and there is a good amount of gems coming in to where you don’t feel like it’s a pay to win app. That does change however with the weekly events, there’s no possible way to get top 10% or higher unless you pay to speed things up. The other huge problem is that the game will constantly glitch when trying to pull up an ad for a reward, it’s very frustrating when you only need a little more of a certain material and the game will tell me I don’t have an internet connection when I’m on wifi. Other than that, solid game

Adventure Communist with a Bad Paint Job

I really enjoyed adventure capitalist and communist so when I saw that there was a new game out, I rushed to download it. I’m very disappointed. The aesthetic of this new game isn’t nearly as fun; all the ages’ menus and cards look the same and the screen is barren and clinical looking overall. The music isn’t fun either. The mechanics are a carbon copy of their previous game, except they removed the fun little blurbs on the character cards ( or hero’s as they call them now). I’m a huge history buff, so it would have been fun to see some flavor text that hints at who these people are with the same snark as in previous games. I think I’m just going to delete this game and go back to the old ones. Hopefully, they’ll realize their mistake and put out something unique next time but probably not.

    Adventure Communist Reskin

This game is basically just a reskin of their previous game. That alone isn’t so much of an issue, the issue is that they still included a major flaw that Adventure Communist had as well... and that is the inclusion of the tasks that require you to “upgrade x number of cards”. This can cause the player to be caught in a rut where the only way to progress is to either wait multiple days by opening the free daily packages which contain the Xp/cards required to level up, or to (of course) spend real money on the xp or cards needed. The worst part of this is that these tasks are not always visible at the start of a rank, so you can spend all of your resources, just to immediately be met with a task that requires you to spend those same resources that you are now out of. The devs need to do one of 2 things. Either remove these tasks, or make it so that they are retroactive in the current rank in some way. The latter option can still leave the player stuck, but at least it’s better than how it is now. The player shouldn't be forced to horde limited resources just to meet the requirements of these arbitrary tasks that appear randomly, and are required for game progression. I mentioned this exact issue back in my review of AC, and nothing was ever done, so my hopes aren’t high. It’s almost feel like these games aren’t tested. Yet another cash grab... I’d hold off on this game until these obvious and glaring issues are fixed.

Hard to enjoy a game that won’t launch

I enjoyed it for the first few weeks. The update on June 9th (1.8) left the game super glitchy. It was hit or miss on if it would launch, and would frequently die on the title screen. Launching the event would also auto quit frequently, and watching ads for boosts was dicey. After a week and half of interactions with their help desk, where they gave me some useful advice to try (that didn’t work) and some exceedingly unhelpful advice (that also didn’t work), I decided to delete the game. No other game or app has given me issues. Their help desk seemed much more willing to blame me despite video showing that I had tried their options than give me a ticket number or actually resolving the issue. Helpful advice: uninstall and reinstall app, try force quitting other things to see what’s going on, turn off your phone once to see if it helps Unhelpful advice: turn your phone off and on again every time you want to play, force quitting all apps every time you want to play.

    Fun Game, But Annoying

My problem with this game is that it never stops trying to tell you what to do. From the start, every single mechanic in the game is thrown at you at once. So you’re forced to mindlessly click all the buttons it says to press without fully understanding what’s going on. After a while this stops happening as much but it feels like it never fully stops. It’s like this game has training wheels that never fully come off. It seems like an awesome game but I’d love to just open it and click a few things when I have a few minutes in my day. Unfortunately this game has too many “super crazy deal” pop ups and won’t just let you play. Adventure Capitalist is a good game. Adventure Ages is a really, REALLY bad version of the same game.
