Love Live! Honest Review( as a beginner)
Many of these reviews mention that the game is hard, but it’s really not. Now, I have only played the beginner mode out of normal and intermediate. The hardest thing so far is figuring out all of the features in-game, It was somewhat frustrating trying to figure out how to level up characters and train them but it doesn’t take too long. The main screen is somewhat overwhelming because there’s a lot of stuff and buttons. That aside, gameplay is really fun!! there are different notes you have to tap(general rhythm game stuff) but one that stands out are the flicks. Even in the easy mode there are flicks that you have to well... flick. They can come in all directions, up, down, left and right. In other games flicks are usually featured in hard modes only which is the only rather difficult part of the game. It’s NOT too hard to get used to them, though. Another thing i want to mention is stamina. you HAVE to upgrade your characters so that they can have more stamina or else you will have a harder time in completing the levels, and this goes even for the easy ones. That said, please install it if you like games that will be there in the long therm. I really enjoy it and maybe you might too!!
I love Love Live!
I have been a huge fan of the Love Live franchise for about 6 years now, and after a year of playing this game, I am finally writing a review. This game is very fun and over the past year it has had consistent updates that make the game even more enjoyable. There’s always something to look forward to and lots of songs that can be added and lots of things to do such as get outfits and participate in events. I really like the 3D graphics, which are stunning and still amaze me after a year of playing and how we can mix up the characters with different outfits for every live show (except the 2D ones, obviously) I hope this version of the game catches up with the Japanese version so we can have the same updates at the same time and so that I can delete the Japanese one, because it’s taking up space and i mainly play on this version. Overall, if you like Love Live, you’re going to like this game. Can’t wait for more updates and play more of my favorite songs in 3D! The only problem I have is that the game is super easy, well in terms of the rhythm and beat maps, it’s nothing like SIF, but the game can be challenging if you do not have a good enough team (or show formation) to beat a live show.
Made love live even more addicting
I’ve been playing the original love live rhythm game since 2015 and I really enjoyed it but this game is SO much better. The visuals are so beautiful and collecting different cards PLUS the costumes of all the girls feels much more rewarding then just the cards in regular sif. The events also feel much more rewarding as you get 2 SRs and a UR. I will admit this game was a bit harder to jump into since I didn’t understand the mechanics at first but once you put some time into learning them it’s extremely addicting and I find myself playing it every day. If you are looking for a traditional rhythm game like the original sif you might not enjoy this one as much but the gameplay is much more complex and interesting in my opinion. Building your team and strategizing to clear a hard live is more fun and takes more effort and thought then a rhythm game. I also love that we still get new stories and content with Muse and Aqours in addition to the Niji girls who are pretty much exclusive to this game. Overall it’s one of my favorite games and if you didn’t enjoy it at first I would look into learning more about tram building and strategies and give it another try!
super fun !!
the graphics are so nice, and i love all the songs too. the characters are much more pretty and cute and i love the dialogue ! there are a few problems i find with the game like how expensive some things are, once you complete the story it's difficult to get stars, and how annoying it can be to get through the practice tree with EVERY new card thats better than the last for EVERY character . getting momento pieces gets a little difficult when your bond level gets high enough too, but that just means you need to choose which cards you really want to level up and idolize. a lot of people complain about the stamina going down quickly, but if it is that either means the cards in your formation dont have a lot of stamina, they dont enough for that specific song, or youre not completing the tasks while going through the songs. most of the time your stamina will hit the yellow zone, especially with harder songs no matter how high your stamina count is. overall, super fun game with amazing graphics and not too troublesome !
Great game, hard at first
This game has AMAZING graphics and 3D animations. Made me fall in love with Love Live all over again. The game itself is definitely hard at first and difficult to understand (skill attributes, strategies, and strategy changes), but when you get the hang of it, it gets more fun. The only problem I have with the game itself is the fact that in order to clear advanced songs, you have to almost either REALLY grind (gems don't come easy) or pay BIG BUCKS to get em. I don't like yet understand why they do this. But on the other hand, boosting the amount of gems by 5-10 at the end of the login week would reward many players who try to grind (currently 30 a week, 500 to make a 10 scout. Rough math makes this roughly close to 17 weeks.) Literally takes 4 months of logging in to get another scout (does not account for gems received from new songs, daily missions and weekly bonus).
Finally in English but there’s always a negative.
I played the Japanese Version and I fell in love with it now that the English version is out I can understand the story mode and also how the effects on cards and strategies work. I know a little bit of Japanese but mostly Hiragana but it was hard to understand JP. I recommend to any Love Love fan if your looking for a game that’s music rhythm and RPG with visual novel. The only negative about these global release on SIFAS is that is only in four languages English, Korean, Mandarin Chinese and the other I’m not sure. I know English is the supposedly called global language but it not fair that the developers don’t give other languages a chance. No Spanish, no French or even Russian that’s the only negative about it it should be called a global release with only 3 Asian languages and one supposedly called global language witch should be called global at all. PS Hanamaru Best girl !!!!
I’m very confused but I like it.
I mean my title pretty much says it all. The global version IS working so it’s nice being able to play in English but I think the tutorials could do a better job of covering various parts of the game because I still have a lot of unanswered questions like “what are the red/blue/green arrows on the sides of the screen during live shows?” And like how when I click on the gauge in the center of the screen it looks like I just activated a skill but I don’t really know what it does/how it effects the battle. Usually whenever I try clicking things other than the notes, my score takes a nosedive so it feels like I’m not doing something right. It’s not enough to keep me from enjoying it. I’ll probably just check reddit if I ever get stuck. But if you’re looking for suggestions on where to improve, that’s where I put my vote: tutorials.
Wonderful!!
Definitely my favorite game. I’m so glad that this existed and now I’m more happy as ever! I also love the costumes and animations. So let me get straight to the point now. So there are not all the songs and they are cut off. I understand why you cut the songs off. They are long and and you don’t want us to have a long time right? I totally understand that. And the appeal chance missions? They are pretty unfair cuz it never gives enough time and the only way is to get all wonderful’s. It’s not that big of a problem with me so you don’t have to fix it. I see that you also made it less confusing which is amazing. Right now, I have absolutely nothing to do in this game cuz I read the whole entire chapters. Keep up the great work and hopefully more chapters I can read!
Nice game
I had the game since launch and because of that I have a big advantage over new players because I have played every event and got the non gacha cards for free allowing me to get some nice cards and a big collection. I wish this game had a way of giving new players some more stuff and also I miss the old weekly challenges where you had to perform stamina skills or voltage skills. I still have my weekly challenges formations sitting on standby if they ever change it back because getting star gems back then was easier, now it seems like you HAVE to spend training tickets in order to get to the required amount needed to finish the weekly challenge and sure I may not use them, but I don’t want to use more than 9 tickets in a day for an extra 50 star gems. Yes it feels pay to win when the SBL event (i think) goes on because the challenges in that are impossible for me to get and i’ve been free to play since launch so I always miss out on the star gem rewards for all the SBL events. Rate Ups seem fake sometimes but other times are real, roll at your own risk. Overall great game, but something seems impossible to newcomers because they get some star gems from the training and stuff but not nearly enough to finish Story 1 and Intermission because the luck on this compared to Japan is a huge difference.
Personally, I feel it was much better than the predecessor
As a long-time LLSIF player, I felt I had better chances of completing a song before my stamina runs out (even if my show formation had low stamina to begin with) compared to the predecessor game. I like the addition of strategy aspect of show formation, so I can switch which skills I want to boost during a show and increase my chances of completing the song/ getting a higher score. Personally, I had better chances of gacha (without paying a dime) than the previous game. Of course, it is to be expected of any mobile games, microtransactions will always be a thing. In order to form a strong team, you either have to wait very long to level up the members or pay a hefty amount and depend on luck to get members with useful skills. There are a lot of cool features that keep you occupied, like the side stories, boosting your members’ skills with items, using show items etc. I hope more songs can be added, and more of them have 3d animations (perhaps some of the daily songs).
About the stamina system
After fiddling with this game for an hour and seeing the complaints about how it's hard to complete a song despite properly tapping all the notes on time, I thought I'd give a quick explanation that many people seem to miss. The tutorial mentions this, but I imagine it gets skipped a lot: every time you tap a note, you lose stamina. I found that to be very weird at first, but I quickly got the hang of it and understood how LLAS was trying to be a different kind of rhythm game. During the performance, there are two guages on the screen (one on the left and one on the right) that alternate between three different colors: red, blue, and green. I'll have to pay more attention to the first two, but tapping the green gauge when it's full restores a little bit of stamina. Many people can grow easily frustrated not knowing this part of the gameplay early on, but I hope this review can lessen then confusion. Other than that, it's your typical grind for mats while raising the bond of your idols. The bonding system allows you to unlock uniforms for your idols and increase their stats. It reminds me a lot of retrofitting your shipgirls in Azur Lane. Personally I still prefer SIF and Bandori to this as far as level of difficulty goes, but the improved progression system and cute character performances make this more than passable for a rhythm game.
Great Game but....
I enjoy this game and was excited when the maintenance was done. Here are my cons. The whole progression of the game when it comes to maintaining stamina and performing as well as idolizing takes a lot of steps. I miss how in the previous game matching cards made characters idolized. Why are there so many things you have to do to get your character leveled up? From training to practice. As well as collecting skills for the character it’s way more tedious than what it used to be. There’s a lot to memorize to get high scores which I don’t like. I just wish there was an option for characterization of the main character you play. Since she is technically part of the idol group it would be nice to associate the face with the 3rd person character which hasn’t changed since the last game. Getting combos is also hard because there’s so much going on in the background and I get distracted by the graphics. Also the fact that you have to buy real gems to play specific gatchas is not cool. The pros are the beautiful graphics and the storyline. I’m excited to see all the new updates and will continue to play. I def feel like my cons outweigh the pros but overall it is a good game.
Good Game but..
I love this game a lot, I love the graphics and the story a lot. But the thing is that the mechanics are meh like you can get wonderful with every hit with low level characters and it will run out of stamina. Like I've been on story mode and I'm on the last chapter with a capacity of 21,000 stamina when the recommended is 40,000 stamina which I'm fine with and all but whenever a note comes that says finish it take like a quarter to half my stamina to the point where skipping the note leaves me with more stamina than hitting it. The live relies too much on attributes and effects that even if you are really skilled at it youre not actually skilled unless you have all your characters with good attributes, which is just relying on luck to get good characters out of the gacha or paying. Like don't get me wrong I love the game a lot but it's maybe a bit pay-to-win and attribute based instead of skill based, which it should be. I'm still playing the game though it's still fun, just wanted to say my feelings about what I dislike and hope to be changed. Thanks.
Difficulty (please read)
I do love the concept of the game, but I think that the difficulty really needs to be changed. When I first played the game, I enjoyed the 3D style of the game and the characters are really cute. But the live shows are not as fun as I thought they would be. To be honest, the easy setting for the live shows should not take away half of my stamina just because it was Nice instead of Perfect. Whenever I play events, the live shows are impossible. If I even want a chance at getting points, I have to play an easy song over and over again. This really takes the fun out of the events. Also, I am really limited on the song choices I get to play during events. I can only play one song that I know I won’t lose half of my stamina after a few clicks into the game. I really think that this game could be more enjoyable if the difficulty was turned down. I really hope this change is considered.
