The game itself is the most beautifully crafted I’ve ever played. The art and animation is flawlessly beautiful and sceneries breathtaking. The stories are romantic and somewhat nostalgic. The game requires patience because you are guaranteed to run into dead ends multiple times. Also if you leave the game midway through a chapter, you have to start from the beginning of that chapter and each chapter is long; it takes about 1/2 hour to complete each chapter on the average, so imagine you’re on the last search for an item and you get frustrated because can’t find an item and it’s 3 am and you have school or work at 8. You have to leave the game. Guess what? You have to start over next time. But the 2nd time around isn’t so bad because you already know where the items are (if you remember). Anyway, I did enjoy the game very well. Definitely recommend it.

This game is a true gem for point and click adventures, it immerses the player with its atmospheric music, lush graphics and flawless dialogue design,the game is ad free and in game purchases free which is surprisingly refreshing and gives a premium touch to it, the dialogue is well written, the voice acting is realistic and filled with emotions all spoken in native Chinese language which immerses you even more into its Chinese mythos and lore deep storyline, as the game progresses also the relationship between the two main protagonists Yixiu and moyan as they go from one painting to another their bond increases which takes you through a ride of emotions, over all Ink,Mountains and mystery Puts the developer net ease on my good side for all the health business practices shown in this game, I am excited to see other upcoming games from this developer which I hope is another premium quality game that I would recommend.

I do not leave game reviews. Ever. But I thought this one deserved at least that. This was a beautiful, well-thought out game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish it would have been a little bit longer, but I knew from the beginning with how in-depth & all the little details that were put into the background & world, that the game would be a little shorter. I don’t mind. The game was fun & the graphics & all are gorgeous. I speak fluent mandarin Chinese, & I feel that the translations were pretty well done also. I have never played a game quite like this one & I have to say I wish there were more. This is probably one of my most favorite games I’ve played on my phone, it was so interesting & enthralling that I finished the game in a day. I couldn’t stop playing it. I will way last time, this game is beautiful, everything about it. All the characters in it & everything.

I loved playing this game, it was so beautiful and challenging enough but not too hard that I felt I had to give up. The extent the creator(s) went to create such depth within the interactive paintings and the dialogue, storyline and other writing is so impressive. I also love that art history, religion, philosophy and lore are included. I hope there’s a sequel! Keep up the great work, we need more games like this! My only issue with the game is that sometimes it was difficult to tap the right thing, either because the scene was so zoomed out, or I guess just because there wasn’t a large enough “tap radius” around some objects so I passed some by several times before realizing I could interact with them.

Can’t get past bench seal. I only speak english. So some buttons are not easy for me to understand what the objective is supposed to be. The First time at the bench trying to make the seal I had to use three fingers to tap my screen to enter and tried to paint/create a seal. I could not understand how to complete the seal making process. So I exit out of the game and re-tried. This time entering the portrait to the Seal using one finger to direct and use for commands was fine. But completely different from the first time when I enter the portrait and had to use three fingers to move and direct the character. But again, I could not understand how to complete the seal and complete the mission. Also, I think the game is brilliant!!!!!

How is this game free?!??!? I don’t usually write reviews, but seriously, the sounds and visuals are stunning; the whole app is a beautiful tribute to ancient China and Chinese culture. I’ve been looking for an escapism-type app, but all the top rated ones are expensive. This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s absolutely beautiful, and so relaxing. The graphics look like they were pulled straight out of chinese landscape paintings and the app runs very smoothly. All the dialogue is spoken in Chinese and the English translations are very good. I have so so much respect for the developers of this app and am going to recommend it to everyone I know (including my chinese host family!!!)

I honestly fell in love with this game. I don’t even know where to start! The plotline is a little confusing but it’s heartfelt and compelling. I think that the characters are well meshed out and endearing, I was honestly sad to let them go at the end of the game. The art was gorgeous and really the chicken soup to my exam-time anxious soul. The game is honestly great for someone with anxiety, in that it’s not demanding and the visuals+audio are soothing. Moving the characters takes some getting used to and I’d definitely recommend that you don’t rush (lest you miss some important dialogue) but all in all? Definitely worth playing.

Great painting, so beautiful! I wish there were more stories with paintings. Also I hope I can keep the collection items after each story. There is a small bug that each time when I exit the game in middle I will lose some of the collection items. Also, in the final story there is a small bug that I couldn't proceed after getting items and had to run it again. Finally I would like a Chinese version because the translation cannot fully express the beauty of the original text

This game is gorgeous, and I love everything about the aesthetic. Unfortunately, after I collected the Miaoshan painting in the 太真 chapter and placed it into the frame without getting the other paintings as well, I have been experiencing bugs that prevent me from advancing. (The Lovebirds painting could not be placed into the frame.) I deleted the game and restarted, but am now stuck at the intro where you go into the backyard for the seals. Tapping everywhere on the screen does nothing, and I am stuck. Is there something I could do? I do rather want to see the lady with the pipa desperately :<

This game would be a lovely experience but for numerous problems with the design and coding. The visuals, beautiful though they are, are far too small to be made out clearly on an iPhone. Reading the text is usually impossible without zooming the screen; fortunately I have Zoom enabled in my phone’s Accessibility prefs and can double-tap to zoom in, but having to do so renders the game not so relaxing. And now I‘m at a tree where I’m supposed to tap a maple leaf, and there are probably 200 maple leaves on the screen (at least they look like maple leaves to me) and, everything being so small, if there’s anything unusual about any of them that would give me a clue that that’s the leaf I need to click, I can’t see it. Also, because of the size issue, I’ve left this game unplayed for probably a year since I first downloaded it, and now that I try it on my iPhone XS Max running iOS 13.3, the graphics have taken to constantly jiggling from side to side, reducing the game’s relaxation factor further still. It’s a beautiful game (despite the protagonist having some skewed perspective that causes him to view the Buddha as some kind of god, still hanging around the Earth and inclined to grant the wishes of human supplicants); I just wish I could see it without having to zoom in every ten seconds, and that the graphics didn’t do that unrelaxing jiggling thing.

Absolutely beautiful graphics, 10-out-of-10! I thought it was going to be a little pixelated but it’s really spot on! And the music is AMAZING! The reason I give this game a 3 star is because the storyline/missions is pretty vague on what your supposed to be doing and controls are HORRIFYING! Especially in the Deep Blue Sea story; doesn’t seem to be optimized very well for iPhone XR and I found myself stabbing the screen or trying other unconventional ways to make the characters move! It isn’t just a simple swipe or tap here type of thing either, even the suggested method to use the controls barely works. Then a strange issue with the screen shaking at odd times during the game... I love the game but the terrible controls sort of gets frustrating at times.

This app is SO GLITCHY. It’s glitchy-ness is surpassed by its beauty, however. It is absolutely lovely and not your typical “video” game. There is a cerebral quality that keeps it from seeing like a video game, which is perfect for someone like me. I give it 3 stars because it is absolutely breathtaking, the music is wonderful... and the fact that it is free also gets it a star. (Perhaps it is free BECAUSE of the performance issues?) Right now, I can’t get past the mound of dirt (gold?) under which I am supposed to look after arriving at the island by canoe. The game is stuck, and I really want to keep moving. I will stop playing for a few days and see if it resolves itself. I did have this game before and removed it. This glitchy quality may be the reason....

The concept is cerebral enough and the translations seem a bit vague at times, so for me it felt hard to “get it” as in understand the overall concept. One place this was more frustrating than others was a puzzle that seems near the end. Even with the in game hints I couldn’t understand what they were getting at. I closed out of the game at this point to get some distance and when I returned the game had kicked me back an entire (long) level. Points for graphics and the feeling of an engaging story, even though I had a hard time fully understanding the point. Ultimately got to frustrated with the glitch that erased my progress and didn’t finish.

I started out relaxing playing this game me and I was amazed! But it is not user friendly. Even when you do exactly what you’re told it is hit or miss if it will register. I clicked on the mermaid 50 times and walked away and came back and then finally touched her tail which progressed the story for example. It ruins the feeling and the relaxation, I also wish could zoom in sometimes because the perspective doesn’t allow you at certain views to see where you are supposed to go next. I’m going to have to delete it for now and check back when there are some user functional improvements. I really want this to work. Thank you,
