    Can’t Go Wrong

Title says it. Plenty of content for a free puzzle game, & the in-app purchases are very reasonable particularly for the amount you get from such a small sum. Buying additional puzzles even removes ads for you! App is fairly regularly updated with new flow colors (if you are into different aesthetics) as well as new packs of puzzles. I love their new, ‘wacky’ packs - with mechanics/layout twists, such as the amoeba pack. They add a fun and refreshing change to the puzzles. I’m a perfectionist, more or less, so I like to go for the ace straight away. Don’t forget there is an undo button! I’ve found their Flow series to be a great de-stressed after a long day of classes, work, arguments, glitchy electronics... whatever. It’s a good way for me to set aside my frustrations for a bit and focus on puzzling. Try it! The Hex Flows is my favorite of the 4 Flow apps. It’s a pleasing aesthetic change in addition to the functional, problem solving dimension. So much so I find it edgy to return to the other three! I hope to see another Flow app emerge that changes up the game and mixes and matches as well as the Hexes do! The only complaint you could leverage from me would be that the apps seem to drain battery more than you would expect from such a simple application.

    Finished, would play again

Having finished every level of Flow Hexes I’ve decided to write a review. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I had to play every level until I got a perfect score for each. This game has a lot of content for a free game. That being said, I loved it enough to buy all additional levels. It’s well worth the tiny price. The app frequently updates, often with new levels. It also has several daily levels. It is an especially great game for relaxing or playing while engaging in other activities. The higher levels are much more difficult without being impossible so if you find the initial stuff way too easy then just skip ahead. I find that this game is also great for calming down if you’re angry or upset, too.

Great for people that like puzzles

I have solved every level of all included packs and purchased packs. I have reset my progress at least 5 times. And have 390 consecutive days of solving the daily puzzle. I think it's safe to say I'm addicted, or at the very least, OCD about this game. It isn't a battery hog, so you can play it while in waiting rooms or office meetings. Okay, maybe not office meetings. But I enjoy the challenge of the puzzles and if you like puzzles, you'll like these too. The only thing I would add to the game is the times it takes to solve each puzzle and that the times do not get reset when you reset the game. That way you can keep track of your best times.

    Favorite game all time

Super fun game that has a combination of easy and challenging puzzles that I have completed and perfected all of. I now have 1,070 day streak on the daily challenges. I also have what I believe to be the world record in the 5x5 30 second time trial with 16 puzzles completed. My only complaint with this game is that there is no leaderboard for these time trial so I’m not completely sure if this is world record or not but as far as I can tell it is. I’m now patiently awaiting the next update to add new packs. <3, egg

A fun derivation from the original

I actually like this one - along with all the other Flows out there. The hexes are a nice derivation from the original, not to mention that the way it’s set up actually makes the controversial 2x2 pool (or so it was) much less likely AND tempting on top of that. Personally, I would actually prefer this one over the other one I currently have (though I DO plan on getting many more in the future): Warps, because it’s less finicky, not to mention that Warps can actually theoretically have the same 2x2 pools ‘problem’ as the others which use the traditional square setup. Not to mention that the aesthetics actually look pretty cool to me compared to the original square setup. (not that I’m saying they’re bad or anything.) Overall, very well done, just like the rest.

    Flow free hexes

Love this version the best!!! I have all of the flow free games, they are by far my favorite games to play! Would love to see several more levels added, I have finished hexes, and have almost finished the other 3. I have M. S. and when I can actually work the puzzles I know I’m having a good day with my “foggy brain” and of course there are days I can’t figure it out at all, the game really helps me cope, so new levels would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Icysalsa94

    The Best!!

I absolutely love this game, right along with all the free flow games by this developer! When I have a stressful day at work, I play a few levels of this game and it calms me right down. I must say that the developer has a brilliant mind for game development. If a friend or co-worker of mine doesn’t already have these games, rest assured, they do now! 🤗 Thank you for this game and the rest of the brilliant games that have been and will be created by such a brilliant or by brilliant minds!! Great Game has everything

There are puzzle levels for everybody - from three-year-olds to hard core puzzle addicts. You can do the easy ones to relax and give your brain a workout with the difficult ones. Plus you get free, additional puzzles every day so I haven't needed to buy additional puzzle packs yet. Finally, thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU! A puzzle based on colors that colorblind guys like me can still do if you turn on the labels.

Two years and still going strong

I got this game a few weeks after I got “Flow Free” because hexes was one of the preview packs. I really liked it so I downloaded hexes too. That was two years ago today. Since then I have completed almost every free pack and have played it every single day. I currently have a 730 day streak. I absolutely love this game, it is so fun and pretty easy. Here’s to another two years! 🥂

    Challenge without a clock

I’ve owned this game for a few years. I make it all of the way through the puzzles and then ‘put it away’ until a rainy day makes me crave a challenge. The Covid-19 shelter-at-home is upon us and I wanted a puzzle game that is challenging and yet not stressful. The Free Play lets me choose the level of difficulty I want to play. Highly recommended if you like puzzles that reauire spatial thinking.

    Suggestions and details

I would recommend getting Flow Free first, then try the hexes pack in it to see if you want this game. This game runs perfectly smoothly and with no ads for me! If you are colorblind then you can turn on color labels for help. If you mess up, there is a button you can press to take out your last move. If you beat the game (like me) you still have new levels every day from Daily Puzzles. There are easy levels to difficult levels. Suggestions 1. Add 16x16 boards 2. Add 17x17 boards 3. Add 18x18 boards 4. Add 19x19 boards 5. Add 20x20 boards 6. Add a mode where you can compete against the computer or real people from around the world 7. Add more themes 8. Add all board sizes to Time Trials 9. Add a warps pack

    New version/pack idea

Looking at the app icon, I see a cube. How about coming up with a pack for a 3D shape, like a cube, and then make it into its own game, like Bridges? Could either make the cube rotate so we can look around it or if that's too hard, just make it so where we see the top face and two side faces of the cube and make flows run across two or three faces. What we currently have is pretty simple, no matter the difficulty. There's a basic pattern makes everything super solvable in a fairly short amount of time.

    Second time through

I have just finished this version of flow for a second time (granted, they added newer packs, so there was some change), and once again, I feel like it is too easy. There are very obvious patterns that become apparent after fifteen or so levels. For instance, I could easily go through 30 levels and 15-20 of them could have the same basic layout. They have “Expert Packs (2 of them now)”, yet these are still fairly easy, just with a different set of patterns to learn. I like the game and see its attraction, but it quickly becomes too easy. It is a good time killer. TLDR: fun game until you figure out the easily discoverable patterns. Good time killer.

So very disappointing. I used to love this game

It’s a real shame because I have been playing the flow family of games for about 7 years now and I’ve never had an update disappoint me so much. I liked the simplicity of the older interface, the one shown in the pictures. I don’t like how in free play mode, everything is now categorized with giant colored banners. The way it was before was perfectly fine. I also do not approve of moving the daily puzzle tab. Make it the way it was before. The menu, the completed screen, everything. Add the new packs and puzzles, but don’t change the design.
