    One of my favorites already

I personally like it, I’ve played a lot of gotcha and grinding type games and this one is definitely one of my favorites. Honestly I like this better than arknights. The game play is simple, but increases in difficulty, the boss battles are crazy in a good way, and if you can’t pass a level, all you need to do is level up your characters. Also 3 star characters aren’t completely useless, (I personally like that crocodile type character the most at this point in time). The only 2 things that I can see that’s a bit off is that it’s hard to find a good healer, I only found 3 decent healers (and I haven’t found any fire healing types or any GOOD water healing types). The other thing I dislike is the lack of prisms (or energy points), cuz I want to play this game more and not run out of energy a quarter way through my off day. I would at least want grinding for resources to cost less after you clear them the first time. But besides that it’s around “azur lane” level of good.👍

    Refreshing

This game kind of came out of nowhere for me but im glad I decided to pre-register. I dont normally stick around very long in mobile games because they become stale or are just reskins of other games. This game separates itself in the gameplay from almost every other game ive played. It has similar elements to other games but merges many ideas and new ones into one solid gameplay experience. The game board is a multi-colored grid which you move your team along to create combos. The composition of your team determines which elements you want to aim for along your path. Your captain always launches their “ulti” as long as you hit the amount of squares required but you have to hit your other teammates elements to launch theirs. You can also switch your captain 3 times per fight for bigger combos. This adds a ton of strategy and makes the game less about rng and more about brainpower. Its still a gacha and has a base building mode like Fallout Shelter. It also has the usual gacha game modes but does everything very well. Even the storyline is interesting. My two gripes is it does a lot of hand holding but there’s a lot to learn in this game that you wouldn’t know on your own due to its creativity and uniqueness. It also wants to talk a lot. There’s a messaging, “friendship” system, that I can’t stand in any game. The game would be better off keeping you in the strong gameplay and away from “texting” teammates. Great game so far though

    Exceeds all expectations

When I got this game I didn’t expect too much, kinda just expected a game to play when I have nothing better to do. This game blew my expectations out of the water! The story is very fleshed-out and well-made, the characters designs, background, personality, and skills are fantastic (they even have some of my favorite VAs such as Rie Takasahi!), I absolutely love the freedom the game gives you such as being able to customize the soundtracks you want to hear and decorating your colossus. Also the small details are great such as just being able to chat with the characters and they even have unique dialogue depending on the circumstances (if you play the game around midnight the characters dialogue will say how “you are a hardworking”, “you’ve been working too hard you should rest”, “I’m impressed you’re up this late”, etc. only complaint if any would be I wish there were clans in the game, but that’s just a little complaint.

    Just starting

Just started and the game is nice so far. The story is good and I don’t see any hint of very lazy writing or anything. The summons are decent but I advise the 2% rate go to a 5% rate but for that they have a 50% off beginner summon with guaranteed rates for a 5 or 6 star. Saving up premium currency isn’t that bad compared to other games like Strongest Hero. After playing that this game is like heaven honestly. So I feel like the game has potential as long as the steady flow of premium or summoning currency doesn’t suddenly run dry or stamina issues occur. Just take notes from Pokemon Masters they do a really good job with their F2P players yet they could really use some improvement in a few places they are much better than other games. All in all it’s a sound game with no complaints so far.

I was playing 5 game before this!!!

Now I’m down to this and one other on phone! Very new game style I haven’t played before. The character system is a lot like Arknights in a way. Been playing for about 3 weeks and it don’t disappoint. It’s a 10 out of 10, what a great start to a beautiful game! Keep it up, can’t wait to see more!!! 🔥🔥💪🤩💯💯 For all the players saying it pay to win, and saying this games to hard. For one not pay to win cuz your not competing with anyone else and also finished the game without paying a cent. But afterwards I put in some money to help Develop the game. For the ones saying it to hard, it is a Grindy game, just grind harder and you will get far! Also for players who say the elements are unbalanced don’t know anything. ✌️

    The best

One of the best games I have seen so far in 2021. This game has a bright future ahead pf itself with almost perfect graphics. Though we should have some sort of pvp and clan or some group alliance. Though the game just came out and im rushing things. The game is great. Love the story line the power of every character is keeping a sustainable power range between everyone. Not many glitches or buts for iphone dont know about the other devices. This game is going great almost everything about this game os great. The best part is grinding when you reach max ascension you get to see a secret part of the character. You wont understand the ascension part until you play the game for a while. This game great and cant wait to see what’s in store for the game.

    A Great Casual Game

I often see people complain about hitting a pay wall or the stamina is too limited. I do not think either of these are a problem. In fact, the game is pretty F2P friendly. I’m around level 34 and at the 8th chapter of the game. The highest spiral level I’ve gotten is 41. I’ve reached all of these without spending a single penny on the game, and I’ve been playing for around a month now. The game is indeed grindy and stamina is low, thats why you have to be patient. There’s an auto button for a reason. Not only that, but the devs are actually quite generous. From my time of playing Alchemy Stars, I’ve often got free rewards from the mail. Most of these rewards were stamina refills and lumamber for recruiting. For the longest time, I was looking for a different mobile to game other than FGO and Genshin Impact. That is why I’m glad I’ve found Alchemy Stars. The story is interesting, the gameplay is refreshing, the gacha rolls are generous, and the interactions with the characters are unique. I love the terminal system. This game has grabbed my interest and I plan on continuing with the game for a good year or more.

Better optimized arknights with different combat style

Coming from an arknights player, i can tell you there are definitely similarities. But what this game did really well is take the strong parts of arknights and bring it over(got rid of the redundant areas) although the energy system is the same, it actually helps me personally since i tend to get addicted. Otherwise, great graphics, fresh combat system, love the different skills and team comp(you can definitely f2p, the starting unit is actually very strong, Vice best waifu). The farming is ok, replay is not as consistent as arknights but the fights are definitely faster…great job, hope more dual element units come out to decrease the rng! Love the game. 10/10

    Pretty good

The game play is very fun, and the story is decently written. It looks like they really care about their game. It’s polished really well, and feels similar to archknights, aside from the story length which is shorter, which don’t get me wrong, is awesome. The only gripe I have with this game so far, considering it’s still really new, is that a lot of the heroes skills aren’t very unique, even when I get something new, it’s just another character with the same skills as many others I already have. If you aren’t addicted to the gameplay specifically, try epic seven, it’s got very unique characters who all do different things, so even 3 stars have used in a lot of places, this game has a good balance of male and female characters, which is awesome, epic seven focuses more on Waifu’s but you know how it is, they sell. That’s all I got, all in all, good game, but has a ways to go before it’s a 5 star for me.

    Please change this

Don’t get me wrong I love the game a lot, the story is amazing, the combat system is unique. But the one thing that is sad to me is that I cannot change my server. I think you guys should add the option to change the server however you want because I really wanted to play with my friends who are in global but I’m in the US server. I know you guys have technical difficulties which leads to you guys splitting the server but please just make it possible to change the server. If there’s a reason why you guys can’t then explain it to us so we at least understand the situation. I don’t want to go through all the troubles of making a new email just so I can get into global server, and besides all other great games also have the option to change the server so why can’t you do that too?

    EDIT

Game is very stingy with in game currency. The rates are good though. Problems: • Energy is an issue. You’re given 100 at level 10. Each level takes at least 15+ energy to attempt. It’s nice however that they let you keep all the energy if you lose. However that doesn’t give much room to grind. Takes many runs to build up currency and upgrade materials but you can’t play for long before having to spend in game currency or just waiting hours on hours. • Another issue is the element balance. Fire, water and thunder are KILLING IT! However, the final element forest is complete trash. The characters are bad and none of them do anything. All my teams are solid except for the forest side. Please fix this. • Affinity. Getting materials to increase your affinity levels is insanely hard. You can only buy it with SS stars (which are extremely hard to get and only available with money) and through the secret market. However, all the currency that can be used in the secret market can only be obtained through the secret territory. I cleared all of it and I didn’t have nearly enough to buy anything. UP THE REWARDS. In conclusion, allow players to GRIND. INCREASE ENERGY CAP or decrease energy required per level by half. Also, make currency more readily available. These games end up dying over time because of PAY TO WIN requisites.

A great game, completely screwed over by the Gatcha system.

Alchemy Stars is actually brilliant. It pivots classic puzzle games into strategy with a simple and unbelievably effective twist. It also lands the story, has great characters, and feels rewarding to play. So why three stars? Because you will intentionally avoid aspects of this to optimize your play. One of your characters is trying to talk with you? Already did that today SO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW SO I CAN GET A PRIZE. I intentionally left Uriah hanging because there’s a limited number of character interactions, and you’re only rewarded once per day. So blow through all that amazing writing at your peril! And if you don’t optimize , you don’t get as much content. So yeah. Not even a monetization problem (the game is skill-based) but some... I don’t know. I don’t know why I can’t just have fun with the characters without the reward system- the writing is more than good enough!! There’s depth and nuance and it’s a fun read- why penalize players for enjoying the game? It doesn’t make sense. Great game though, gameplay’s better then anything else in the market. And yeah, I saw Fft and Disegea on here. If Alchemy Stars was mainly a game instead of a checklist, it’d be the best game ever.

    Unique combat, but extremely grind-y

I was excited downloading this because it had lots of attributes that appeal to me — hatch’s hero collection, unique abilities, turn-based strategy, and most interestingly a unique combat system. I paid a buck for a starter pack in the shop and played for a few hours before hitting one of the most sudden and earliest grind-walls I’ve ever seen in a game like this. Having played quite a few, I can tell when things start to push toward pay-to-play, and it happened REAL quick in this one. The exponential curve of cost eclipses the rewards earned from beating levels so quickly that I’m giving up on this one just a few hours in. It’s a shame, because this has a ton of potential, but the energy system, leveling up, and upgrading are all among the stingiest I’ve seen in games like this. Unless you’re prepared to sink hundreds of hours or dollars into this one just to keep up, I’d skip it. There are lots of other games (or other activities) more worth your time.

    Bad game

Gameplay is way too RNG dependent, you can easily be screwed by not getting colors to line up or monsters blocking you in. This can be mitigated by the 6-star characters but you need to either pay to win or be super lucky. I’ve pulled on a rate up banner over 20 times now without a single pull. If you don’t have certain characters you’re out of luck; you’ll be grinding for weeks just to clear beginning story content. UI is super clunky and slow. There is no way to go quickly to different nodes like the daily farms. You have to click through multiple slow screen transitions and loading pages. Dialogue is clunky and sometimes poorly translated and story is boring. No skins and really confusing currency system. Why buy a proxy to the normal gems? The literal only use for these proxy gems are to buy normal gems. Why can’t we just buy the normal gems?? Overall bad launch and bad game. If you really want to give it a try, figure out how to join the global or Japan server as the US servers are bound to fail.
