Feels like the poor man’s version of the old runners but you pay for.

I have no idea why some people say that this is better than the original. I mean on its own it’s ok but it somehow feels like a beta version of the old one with how much it lacks when compared. Over the course of 2 weeks I managed to 100% during my free time and now there is no reason to return to it. There’s no endless mode, not a lot of challenge, and the gameplay is boring. In the old one there where wisps, granted there where not a lot of them, but they would give you fun abilities to use. In this one there is none of that. Also the characters all play the same and feel the same. The only difference is how they look and there abilities. The old at least had characters who played differently. Also team chaotix breaks the games in half when it comes to ring upgrades since you can buy magnets and invincibility. Overall I don’t see a reason why a person should buy this game when a better had already existed and was technically free to play.

    Fun and excellent gameplay

Love this game. Fast paced levels, challenging, and maintains the essence of classic Sonic games. There are lots of characters to choose from, each with their own benefits and slightly different play style. I like that the game is not as simple as "tap at the perfect time or die" like many others are. If you make mistakes there are penalties, but you can get away with some mistakes better than others. And there are a few different ways to play each level, so trying new things is encouraged. There needs to be a lot more content, though. This game can easily be beaten in a day, including most of the stars and upgrades. I also wish the hero team was more useful. They don't collect rings as easily as chaos team, and don't seem to give any benefit to robot kills like team dark, so I never use them unless it's required to achieve a star. Otherwise the game is pretty well balanced. I hope the developers keep supporting this game, adding content and making improvements; they've done a fantastic job so far!

Just like the original but better!

Just bought it! And the game is absolutely amazing!! I’m liking the new gameplay so far! And from what I’ve seen. You don’t have to worry about having to continuously spend money. You can use your rings to buy buddies/characters now which is good! Because In the original it was all about the red rings which I didn’t like! It has a story that you follow!and you progress by playing levels, Each level has certain objectives ( collect rings, defeat certain amount of enemies) and those determine how many stars you have. But it bums me out that the endless mode is gone. (But at least the speed is still here) Would be nice to have this back in a update. There are endless levels. But it’s not the same considering your still timed to do some objectives. But in other words definitely worth the $3

    Hewo!

Hey game loft, I love your games, especially the Spider-Man unlimited. I was sad when you discontinued it. But let’s talk about this game! I’m so glad you made it, I missed out on sonic runners, and never got that great experience, so, until a few months ago, this was the only sonic runners. However, I wish you could add things. For example, maybe, if you beat the game, you unlock a special mode that’s like the original sonic runners. Maybe you could add some outlines, so it’s easier to see characters. It would especially be great if you could maybe even add some more characters. If you add the infinite levels, you don’t need more normal levels, bu2 if not, maybe add some more levels! I know you’re working hard and updates like these are hard to make. So for1 now, thank you for making this game. Everyone appreciates it! Thanks for reading!

Better than the original Sonic Runners

Gameloft did a good job with this game. I had fun playing through every single level. The original Sonic Runners was a good game that was brought down by its microtransactions and performance. Sonic Runners Adventure is the game Sonic Runners should have been. It only has a one time fee of $2.99 and is very stable. The game is a must for any Sonic fan. I only wish that there were more characters, worlds, and an endless mode available in the game. Despite that, the game is worth every penny and I hope Gameloft adds more content to the game after its launch.

    Good overall

RIP TEAM ROSE where’s Amy??? Or cream??? I don’t really care about big but he should still be here! Also how come you get rid of team Rose but the team chaotix is here?!?! Also blaze silver and Tikal WHERE ARE THEY!?!?!?! Amy is my favorite character in the franchise (shadow coming in close second) where is she??? And the rest of team rose??? Ok I’ve spent enough time talking about missing FEMALE characters (btw rouge is the only female character in this game) but I have to commended you this music and gameplay is amazing 🤩 but one last problem.... IM TERRIFIED OF ALL OF THE OMOCHAO THERE SOO SCARY couldn’t you just make a sonic tails and knuckles reg chao? Omochao is terrifing. Also cool idea you could have teams like sonic and tails Amy and shadow (witch I would totally use go shadamy) silver and blaze (btw I also ship silvaze) tangle and whisper (from idw) maybe even tails and cosmo (cosmo is from sonic x witch I have watch both sub and dub versions of) oh what about Sonia and manic? (Sonics bro and sis from sonic underground) or maybe sonic and sally (sally is from satAM and Archie comics also I hate sonally but a lot of people ship it and it would be good for business) and finally last (but not least) you could have knuckles and rouge! In conclusion having one female character makes you seem sexist and is definitely WRONG. Sincerely sonic fanatic who is twelve years old

Great Fun, but Needs Better iPhone X Controls

I really enjoy this game, it’s a fun and challenging game that I often pick up to play. At first it was just when I had some time to kill waiting in lines, but then I found myself coming back frequently! The app works great on my iPad Pro. Unfortunately, however, it is extremely frustrating to use on my iPhone X. The game requires landscape mode, which is fine, but it constantly seems to think I’m trying to leave the game to multitask, pausing the game and bringing up the app tray or going to the home screen. I then have to return to the game and wait several seconds to restart the run. This isn’t something occasional; it happens several times in every run. It becomes very frustrating. It seems like the game is hypersensitive to touch. I make a point to avoid touching the screen with more than just my one fingertip, but it isn’t easy given that it’s a full screen app with no bezels or space to hold the phone while you play. I really hope they improve the app for iPhone X. Until then, however, I’m limited to playing this on my iPad Pro. It’s unfortunate, though, as I would play a lot more often if I could do it on my phone.

    Fixing preorder issue

With my time playing sonic runners adventure, I am happy to announce that the game runs smoothly with little to no hickups. I enjoy the runners gameplay style so much. I am overfilled with joy that it has been given a revival. However there is something I want to address, because this app is a premium title I am somewhat worried about the longevity of the app. I would hope that the game will in the future get updated with new content. If any developer, PR, and or producer is reading this please consider future game content for this title. You have something amazing Gameloft and Sega. Please keep this game alive. Thank you so much for developing this.😊 For those having issues after pre ordering the app. I deleted the app after it downloaded and re downloaded the app by going to my purchases. Purchased is hidden within the profile image on the App Store. Tap the circle in the upper right hand corner on the home page of the App Store and you will find it. Re download the game and it should work. Hope this helps :)

Fun to play, but Some Things Annoy Me

The gameplay in itself is good; as expected from the sequel to sonic runners. It’s a good game for those who want a good mobile sonic experience. However, I can’t help but feel annoyed by a few things. First, there are times when the gameplay gets jaggy, which ruins the flow. This mostly happens when I go on a spring. Secondly, some characters from the previous game aren’t in this one, making this game feel like the creators deliberately are trying to play the long game and release other ones over time. I like blaze the cat, yet she’s not in this game, and may not even show up in the later updates. Lastly, for some reason I can’t close out of certain dialogue boxes. When it’s telling me to go to the next mission, I click the x to close out of it, but it doesn’t appear to work atm. TLDR version; I like the game, small errors are here and there, and you guys should add blaze back in this game, please.

A sequel inferior to the original, but has its charm

I’ll start off by saying, I loved the original Sonic Runners. The endless 2D runner got challenging without being annoying. The pay to win gimmick was questionable, and there was the god forsaken roulette to get new characters and buddies, but it was overall a great mobile game. It even had its own amazing soundtrack. I this sequel, they did fix some features such as removing the roulette and having a fixed price, but they took the magic out of the endless runner by making it to where there are finite levels, rather than progressing through the story based on how far you got in the endless level. The levels in the game that are infinite have a set goal which ends the level upon completion or if the timer runs out. The game also has no new music, which is a letdown considering the original had an entire original soundtrack. This game also provides very little fan service other than having multiple characters, but even the original had more. This game still has charm as levels can be challenging. This is a good sequel, but it still needs to live up to the original. And provide more fan service, original music, and become a great endless runner like it’s predecessor

    Ok

This game is ok, but it needs improvement. First, add LOTS more levels. It needs more than 4 zones. Second, add more characters. I can’t understand the lack of characters, when Sonic Runners, the original version, had more than 50 characters to collect! They all needed luck to get them, and most people liked that instead of going to one zone to get more characters! Speaking of more characters, where is team rose? You had one extra zone to add ANY characters for that zone, and you didn’t add team rose, or even SUPER SONIC! Third, make it so you can choose 2 characters, and if one dies, you can pay to use the next one, you know, like SONIC RUNNERS, original. Over all, if you were going to make a down graded version of Sonic Runners, why didn’t you just make a update that adds easy mode! If something went wrong with the game, then just fix it! Anyway, over all it’s average at best, but it’s just not Sonic Runners! I want my infinite running intel I die! I wan’t IT back! I wan’t SONIC RUNNERS BACK. If you could possibly fix it at all, or most of it, I’ll give it 5 stars.

    Good but Lazy game

Obviously you guys aren’t gonna care about what I have to say, but might as well say something for those who haven’t gotten it yet but. Since we already bought the game, and they already have our money, they’re not gonna waste their time trying to constantly update the game or add any other game modes The Game only has 3 team, Heroes, Dark, And Chaotix, which is extremely lazy since they’re missing ESSENTIAL teams and characters to the franchise like Team Rośe, Team Villains or Team Adventure And the game is dry for content after the main Campaign theirs nothing to do, besides achievements that only give you characters, power ups, and sidekicks which are only used for campaign, so basically they exist only for each other and by the time you reach Chapter 3 you’ll have all the unlockables, and their will be nothing in the game to do, yes it will be fun to replay sometimes but eventually you’ll get bored, mind you I’m saying this all on the 2ND DAY I have the game So here’s the deal, add more Offline modes like Endless, challenge mode or backwards mode Add Online play where you can do REAL time Races and a leader board, with rewards and a friending system to that you can have friendly races Add new characters like Amy, Cream, Big, Silver, Blaze, Whisper, and then you have a great game that’s rich for content and fun to play

    Gameloft please read

Before you just think I’m going to dump on this game, I’m not. I just want to criticize it so you can make it better. First off, I think the amount of updates this game gets is underwhelming. Sure it came out years ago and it’s offline but it still has tons of room for improvement. Before I say what I don’t like, I’m going to say what I do like. I actually really like the story levels and their difficulty. I also like the challenges you need to do to earn stars. I like the achievement system and how you can use rings to upgrade characters to make their ability last longer. Now I’m going to talk about what I don’t like about this game. I think that the end game is very boring and there is next to nothing to do mainly because the game is just a campaign. I think the roster of characters is painfully mediocre. Sure it’s cool to have team dark and chaotix but it’s still lack luster compared to the original game. Speaking of the original game, it is miles better in quality and costs $3.99 less (it was free). I think the easiest way to make this game better is making it free, because the game would fit the price of being free. But if you actually want to put effort in then I think you should still update the game. Gameloft, if you ever read this, please listen to my criticisms and try to fix them with an update. I still love your games I just think this one is unbearably mediocre and could be improved easily.

    Terrible.

This game dares to call itself “a whole new Sonic Runners experience.” It definitely is. A terrible one at that. Not like we should expect anything from Gameloft. Just look at the models in the cutscenes, they’re so basic and lifeless. This game was just hastily shoveled out and feels incomplete. The character roster feels small, too. Just Team Sonic, Dark, and Chaotix. What about Team Rose? Or any extra characters like Silver, Blaze, or Metal Sonic? This game is just terrible and lazy. Sonic Runners was way better because there was actual effort put into it, not to mention it was FREE. We didn’t have to spend a single dime to get the full experience on that game, so why do we have to spend a few dollars to buy the game, then spend another quick buck to get the “full adventure”? What a joke. Give us back the original Sonic Runners, or at least let a good Sonic Runners be made by anyone other than Gameloft. All we have is Sonic Forces Speed Battle, and even that can’t compare to Sonic Runners.
