    Deceptively Fun!

Disney Princess Majestic Quest is a unique Match-3 style game where you the player are tasked with assisting the iconic Princesses in repairing their homes after a strange Gem-like Hail falls over the kingdoms. It currently only has 4 Princesses to play with at the moment being Mulan, Jasmine, Belle, and Ariel; each with their own unique domains and repairs. While only 4 Princesses are available at the time of this review, the game has loads of content for who is available. Each character has charming moments with either the player or characters from their settings, sometimes even both. A wonderful fill of content for anybody wanting more of their favorite Princesses. An easy 5 out of 5, and I would highly recommend to anybody seeking a fun Match Game experience.

    Love the game, but…

I honestly am really happy that I was recommended to play this game, however there’s something that I would like to see fixed as soon as possible. That is including an in app purchase to disable advertisements because I hate it when I am about to start a new level or I receive a power up or something and the next thing I know, a video advertisement pops up and it’s frustrating because I honestly don’t have the time or energy to watch advertisements when I could be playing a new level. Please, please fix this problem, it’s becoming very annoying and I am probably not the only one who has this frustration.

    New updates?

Amazing game! I’m a huge Disney Princess fan and I really enjoy the unique storyline to the game. I don’t have many issues with the game, they have definitely figured out bugs and what not. The only thing I am annoyed with (not even, maybe just bored) no update! I’m still on the Ariel storyline, (which is fine) but I would enjoy new princesses added to the game. New stories, new characters, etc. Definitely a recommended game if you enjoy Disney, Disney princesses and a fun puzzle game! Just looking for that update, maybe I need to finish the last storyline in order to get an update? New storyline and princesses?

Great game but still very buggy

I love this game. It is a cute puzzle game that has a nice little storyline with it. It doesn’t have the 3 star rating system, which I like. You’re doing the puzzles to earn a static number of stars regardless of how long it takes you or how many moves. You then spend those stars to complete objectives that move along the story. Only downside is there is no pause function that would allow you to close the app during a level and come back to it but that’s a minor thing. I only deducted a star because it still has some big bugs. When I first opened the app, it somehow loaded with a 3rd of the screen off my screen. Since I’m playing on the iPad Pro 12.9 inch, that’s pretty strange, but that fixed with a reload of the game. I had to do some troubleshooting to get it to connect with Facebook since it kept routing me between the two apps without actually connecting. Logging in in the window rather than letting it open the Facebook app fixed that. The biggest issue though is that the game freezes and then crashes in the middle of a level. This then registers as you quitting and uses a life as well as renders any power ups you used useless. This is especially frustrating when you’re two moves away from winning a level you had to do more than once and now you’re back at square one but down all those lives. Definitely something that should be fixed because you don’t get many lives or many free power ups and I’ve had quite a few wasted from crashes.

    Great game!

I love a good match 3 style game, but this one has an added story element that makes it so charming. I save up my stars and read the storyline to my 4 year old, and we have had a nice time bonding over her (and my) favorite princesses. I’m currently finished with all available levels, and anxiously awaiting more to be added. This was done completely without in app purchases, few power ups, and only rarely a use of 900 coins to add a few moves to the harder levels. So for all the complaints about it being too hard or too expensive, I think a strategy change is in order. I found the levels to be perfectly challenging. Only deducted a star for the freezing issue, as others have stated. I know this is still a new game, so I’m sure many things are still being worked out, but it does nevertheless need to be addressed. Also thought it was a little weird that ads started popping up after around level 150, and often times the banner ad covered nearly all of the “play” button when trying to start a new game, but it still let me press it. Just a minor inconvenience. Overall, a great game. I hope to see more levels added soon so we can continue Ariel’s story.

Cost to keep playing too expensive!!!

I’ve gotten pretty far and it’s very difficult once you get past 50, which would be fine IF it didn’t cost a billion dollars to keep playing after you run out of moves! That’s my one and only complaint about this game. It cost 900 coins to keep playing! 900 for just 5 moves!!! That’s WAAAAAAAAY TOO HIGH!!! It’s impossible to make that money back on the higher levels. I thought the cost to keep playing on the Toy Story match 3 game was high, which cost 60 coins, albeit you only get 10 coins for clearing a level, but you seriously need to bring down the cost from 900 coins to something far more reasonable, you get an average of 50 coins per level, so make it something between like 300 and 500 coins. Either bring down the cost to keep playing, or you need to start giving us a LOT more coins for completing a level. Just one tiny little extra; there’s a bug where when I swipe to make a match, it freezes up and crashes, but the game is only version 1 so that’s completely forgivable, but BRING DOWN THE 900 COIN COST!!!!

Fun, but really hard to win a level

So, I’m already at the harder match-3 levels, and without power-ups, it’s REALLY hard to win levels. I’ve even had it go back a level 3 TIMES! 3 TIMES! “Spin the wheel for your chance to win... oh, sorry, ITS RIGGED! You have to fix. You’re cheating us. Try a level, lose a life, try a level, lose a life... I am never going to be able to win the chest from the events y’all are always doing. I never skip the story because it takes me so long to get the amount of stars I need to do the story! Seriously! Y’all are cheating us! Sometimes, I play and lose so many levels, I lose all my lives and virtually can’t play! Not just annoying, INFURIATING! IM VERY ANGRY WITH YOU, GAMELOFT! RIGGED! This is fun, and I’d be sad to erase my progress, but if you don’t de-rig it, then I WILL HAVE TO DELETE! And don’t you dare just chicken off and not do anything. Stop doing this, or I promise you, I will not be playing ever again! EVER! AND I MEAN IT! Also, when I finished the throne room for Jasmine, it said next part of the story would come with the next update. I don’t trust y’all enough to believe there will be another update. I think that you’re too busy backspacing people on levels. Please Reply!

Fun but got difficult too quickly.

This game is really fun. I love that we can rebuild their castles and we get to interact with the characters but the game got too hard way too fast. And it’s expensive if you want to continue for five more moves. And there’s not even enough moves in most of the stages to begin with. Why give me only 14 moves and hardly any way to make a combo near the bows to wrap the garlands? When you can’t pass a level because it was too hard to begin with you don’t get the coins you’d need. 900 coins is just too much if you’re going to make it that difficult. Some times the combos I want to make won’t register because the games makes its own little moves at times, which, I think is weird. And if you do win you only get like “50-60 coins at a time. It would actually be a lot of fun if I didn’t have to worry about all of that.

Rating lowered due to extreme difficulty level

I’ve been playing a while so I’ve gotten pretty high up in levels. Most of the higher levels could be fun but the extremely limited number of turns means you either need to be really lucky or spend real money to be able to complete the levels. That is not fun. I’ve been playing match 3 games for quite a while and was one of the primary level designers in BKR2. Levels should be beatable with a combination of luck and skill. Doing the same level dozens of times is frustrating and will cause the game to be put down for good. Story progression is not worth it. Play it for a little bit and then move onto something different. As with most games, they expect you to become addicted in the lower levels and then pay out of your pocket to complete higher nearly impossible levels to continue the progression.

    Game create stress

Pretty high quality graphics and nice UI designs. All base of the game is perfect! BUT the game is crazy hard and have to play again and again and again! Need 900 coins for continue extra 5moves but each game earn 150coins? Can't pass the stage even I use every items I have? Everytime I play this game, I feel flustraight and stress :( People who plays pazzle games, especially Disney princess lovers are not expecting a super hard pazzles. We want to play few games and enjoy the stories. If creaters making it hard for purpose because they need time to create new stories and graphics, but also won't players go away, that's making it worse I think. I played everyday when I downloaded, but now I open once every month or two and probably uninstall soon. Hope they realize what DP pazzle games players expecting this game but not only graphics.

Really good, but WAYYYY too many pop ups

This game has really great details and, while the levels may be hard, they actually are beatable without having to spends tens of dollars for helps (note: I just passed level 200). That being said, I play a “stage” from beginning to end, but the game seems baffled that a player would want to play it that way as practically every time you finish a level during the first 10-15 is a reminder that you can go to a different stage—even after you’ve “x’d” out the offer countless times already. And also, it’s a given that if you want a bonus for free you’re going to have to watch an ad, but an impromptu ad that comes up for no reason whatsoever and forces you to “x” it out just to progress through the game is super unnerving. Besides that, great game.

So many bugs make it unplayable

This game is fun and as much as I like to play there are so many issues. The first being that right now there is a quest for keys to unlock chests which was fun the first time, but the problem is once you complete all the levels you aren’t able to play the normal storyline at all. And then the next batch of quest for keys isn’t available for about 17 hours. So basically even if you have lives you cannot play. AND THEN. It’s the exact same puzzles every time you restart it. So not only am i not able to play the regular storyline but I’m stuck playing the same 15 levels. Second, and maybe the most frustrating is that the daily goal is often a 30 minute unlimited lives reward. More than once this only actually lasted 5 minutes and then the game started using my lives. Today, I purchased a special they have going for Halloween because it was a good deal for the amount of stuff you got, and it was supposed to come with 3 hours of unlimited lives. That again only lasted 3-5 minutes. This is incredibly frustrating when I spend actual money. I’ll probably delete the app once I use up everything I just purchased. I assumed Disney would be better than this.

Fun story but way too hard

I really like the idea of earning stars to progress in the different stories. But the levels get way too hard. You barely get any moves and the only way to win the level is pure luck. Honestly, I only progressed as far as I did because I happened to get the clearing the board bombs (after losing 10 lives on it first). I can’t ever imagine a kid playing this game. If you fail and want to get 5 more moves it costs 900 coins. You on average get about 60 coins per level. 900 coins is way to much. Some levels you can only win using the special items but you only get a couple of each and once you are out well, good luck to you. Sometimes it offers watching an ad for a random number of more moves but either the ad crashes the game or the random number I get is 1. One more move. Ugh.

Ridiculous frequency of no more levels to play

It is beyond ridiculous and frustrating how often I hit the “level cap” - when suddenly there are no more story levels to play. And this has happened so many times since the game came out. Why on earth would the developer release a game with so few story levels complete and available? And when they update the app with “new levels available!”, it’s almost always only 10 additional levels. This was my last straw, what triggered me to actually rate this at 1 Star, even though I usually enjoy the gameplay: Last night I successfully finished a level, and was automatically offered the next level. But it was late and I decided to stop playing, and to go to bed instead of playing that level. Today, opening the app, suddenly that exact story level is inaccessible, even though I could have played it yesterday. The only option now is to play “treasure chest levels” - a series of 15 levels that give rewards at levels 3, 8, and 15 (as far as I remember). But if you finish all 15 of those levels, you can’t play a new set of treasure chest levels for some random amount of hours - sometimes 18 hours, sometimes 24. This has happened so so so many times - suddenly no more story levels, and instead forced into these treasure chest levels. With no communication from the developers on when more story levels will be available. This game isn’t worth my time anymore.
