I thought there were 2 improvements that could made: not telling me when I made a mistake in “pencil mode” and letting me select multiple cells to put a number in. Sent “Feedback” via e-Mail and got a quick response letting me know I missed two Options in the Settings that do exactly those 2 things. This was one of the only “puzzle Sudoku” apps I could find with things like “anti-Knight” constraints, so this is easily the best app in the category I was looking for. Especially since it already had the only improvements I could think of.

I had no idea there were so many different variations on sudoku. Love this game—it has all the options I like, like being able to select difficulty, ability to have more than one game going at a time (sometimes, for the harder ones, it helps to stop playing them for a while, go on to play some easier ones, then come back with a fresh brain to tackle them again). The interface is also nice and user-friendly. I love that I can “favorite” my fav types of games so I can go to them quickly.

PS — New layout WAY easier on the eyes. Thank you! —— This app has creative and challenging variations of sudoku. Blind killer and Kropki are two of the best (and hardest) games I have ever played. I get comfortable and stick with something for a while — but when I decide to switch it up, this game has something insanely smart and cool to learn and master. I really love this game. It’s not regular sudoku. It’s beautiful. (Currently addicted to Kropki but I think I may try the new Blackout!)

This sudoku app is the best. It has a ton of different board styles (including giant 4x4 boards) and hybrid rule sets plus four difficulty settings for each one. The app gets regular updates with new boards and rule sets pretty often too. It also has a nice clean interface, which you can customize to your preference. Every bit of my battery life is going to this app. I love it. I hope they eventually add rule set varieties like killer and kropki to Giant.

I used to play this a lot and had previously given 5 stars. I’d often finish a single game over several sessions. All the saved games were right at the top of the main menu. That feature is gone now so if I don’t finish a game it’s gone unless I can remember the exact location (out of several levels of 60+ variations), which is often unknown if I started the game by tapping “random”. Bummer.

Very good app with very few downsides. It’s annoying to need to unlock difficulty levels and please please please add the ability to modify the color of the minor lines on killer sudokus!! Its so annoying to see the cages properly when it’s default light gray even with line color modifiers. But otherwise it’s great; with sudoku variety I could never even have imagined! Well worth spending for ad removal

This is sort of the only sudoku game you’ll ever need. Between TONS of variants (all my favs plus many I’ve never seen before) plus four difficulty levels for each type make for endless fun. A good brain trainer too...some I didn’t think I would ever be able to complete at the expert level but eventually I figured them out. Kudos to the developers for an excellent game!!!

This app is a wholesome and rare example of what an app on the app store should look like. The UI is a bit ugly, but you have plenty of user options to tune it. There are adds, but not an obnoxious amount. The scope of available puzzles is amazing, and I discovered some fun sudoku varieties that were new to me. This app looks like a product of love, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good sudoku.

Update: They fixed it!! (high pitched squealing) Would be a five star, except that my favorite game is Swap, and the update broke notes for that mode. When a bug fix makes the notes match the actual numbers when swapping, this'll get a five star. I've played several sudoku games and I love all the different modes here.

I would rate 5 stars if i could have one tap to add numbers instead of select box then select number. Should be select number then touch box(es). This has caused me to lose numerous games by accidentally adding the wrong number.

I really enjoy the wide variety of versions of sudoku and the levels of difficulty. It's been addictive and keeps my mind engaged. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is I don't like the three-mistakes-and-you-lose part of the non-classic version. I would switch it back to the classic version but I like that each of the numbers will disappear so you know when you've got all of one number placed on the non-classic version. It doesn't do that on classic. Even the ads between games are not annoying like a lot of games. They're short and you're actually thanked for watching the ads. :)

The game makes you play through easy, medium, and hard before unlocking expert for EACH variation of sudoku. This makes the entire app worthless to me as I find it extremely tedious that I have to put time into a puzzle before I can really even play it. The easier difficulties for variations rarely ever require the use of the variation’s logic; there are usually enough givens that you can just place all the digits from the start without actually thinking about how the variant affects the solve. The ability to select any difficulty would make this an amazing sudoku app, except for the fact that it can sometimes prevent you from placing pencil marks when they are resolvable. I haven’t found a way to turn this option off without enabling classic mode, which I don’t want to do. If the difficulty problem were fixed: 3 stars If pencil mark “error” detection problem were fixed: 3 stars If both problems didn’t exist, this is easily a 5 star app

CAN'T UPDATE due to Hate on iOS 10! Hate buying apps That stop working due to Apples updates. I either lose 100 apps to update this one or change my rating here. Most Minority appscant afford to update their apps thus Jews are screwed! END if UPDATE Extremely worth getting because you can work a wide variety of sudoku games at your level. Good instructions too! Those who love chess logic problems will find sudoku games for you too. Anti-white knight is very fun! 🎉🐭🐭🎉 Better than only having traditional sudoku options - which they also have. 4x4, 6x6 grids for younger solvers, samurai for die-heart fans, more variety than all other apps on the market combined as of this writing. I got this after I paid for another app. This one I play, the other one I deleted. Developers: If you were to add option to use kanji numbers or traditional numbers, I'd be over the moon! Thank you for all the variations you've added! 一二三 Letters specifically. Thanks!

I’ve put up with the ads for years; even the ones that don’t allow you to cancel quicker than 30 seconds. At least those only lasted a round or two. Now, while playing the game, there’s some glitch that loads my browser and pulls up this panda ad from the bottom banner. I cancel and go back to the game and within a couple of seconds it sends me back to the browser and then the Apple App Store and I’ll close it out again and go back to the game. It is a never ending loop. Tried soft resetting my phone and it doesn’t affect it. It’s been real but I have to delete you and find a new sudoku app.
