How does it Work?

Meet Jumbline 2, the most addictive word game in the App Store. Scramble and twist your brain to make words from jumbled lines of letters. Simply rearrange the scrambled letters into words, and underline them with your finger to score points; find and underline the largest word and you advance to the next level.

Play in a relaxing un-timed mode, or put your skills up against the clock in timed rounds.

Jumbline 2 includes two additional games: Cloud Pop and Star Tower. In Cloud Pop, your goal is to pop as many clouds as possible, by spelling words out of the letters carried in each cloud. In Star Tower, your task is to build the tallest tower you can, before it sinks into the ground, by making and staking words out of an infinitely jumbled line of letters. The larger the word, the slower your tower sinks, so scramble and twist your brain to think big!

Jumbline 2 is ideal for fans of Scrabble, Words With Friends, TextTwist. Play with friends and family cooperatively, or fly solo.

My favorite word game. Move and underline or tap the letters - very intuitive. It displays The words you have found in an alphabetical list, which helps you find missing words. This is my go-to game for short or long breaks. Programmers have been responsive to requests or glitches (which sometimes occur after iOS updates). I love this game.

    Enjoyable!

I've been playing this game for a couple of years and I find it relaxing. The 5-letter word puzzles are usually very simple but the 7-letter words are more of a challenge. I downloaded it twice to be able to switch back and forth between the two. It's definitely a go to game for me.

    Best of its kind

With the option to purchase the ad-free version, this is the best word scramble game available (that I have found) for iOS. Gameplay is very smooth. I especially like the underlining feature, much faster than having to tap each letter.

    Jumbline 2 Review

I love this game and have it on my phone and Kindle. Helps pass the hours and minutes while waiting during travel and shopping. The link to the dictionary helps expand my vocabulary. Really love the classic when I'm mellow and star tower when I have stress to burn.

    Best word game

I've put too many hours to even think about into this game. It's polished and endlessly fun! -- Update: four years later, this is still true! One of the few games I always keep installed and still play.

    What dictionary?

I enjoy the game as a way to pass the time and keep my brain active. I’ve also learned a few new words along the way. My main complaint is the selection of words. While roc, orc (mythical creatures) and lofter are recognized as actual words, other actual words are not, like ems, ens (typesetting measurements) and floret. There are other not included words that are found in the dictionary that might be offensive to some (not profanity. R*pe is one example), but I don’t know if including those would change the rating of the app or if Apple would not allow it in the store. The game does allow one to suggest words, but I don’t believe the app is updated that often, at least in regards to its vocabulary.

    Fun play, but Limited dictionary

For a few days I was just putting up with some of the missed words. Then, I saw the “suggest a word” button. Now, I’ve been reporting words (not even the ones scrabble and WWF take (like ell). I have spent as much time playing as I have verifying my knowledge and reporting as I have playing. Some of the suggested words are not in a lot of conversations (oyes, mons, zeals), but some were just alternative spellings (I have always spelled it ochre, I consider ocher the alternative!!). I hope the developers can integrate a more comprehensive dictionary.

    New Player

Just found your game recently. Thoroughly enjoy it until I accidentally brush across the arrow that ends my game. Needs to be fixed. There are times when I get a pop up that asks if I want to end the game. This needs to happen each time the arrow is touched. Also, you changed the dictionary. Wrong move! Not as good. I also agree with other complaints of words not being accepted. Frustrating. Can't give a 5 star rating until these are fixed.

    Fun game but missing words

Fantastic interface. I love how you can underline letters to create words, drag letters, etc. Extremely well done. Very fun game. But it is missing many words found in the dictionary. Meanwhile, it has a large variety of made up words. So, if you wanted to play this game to strengthen, for example, your Scrabble play, the dictionaries are radically different. I wish it kept track of my highest score.

    Suggestions

I have suggested words that are definitely in the dictionary and I don’t see it reflected. This is a great game and my husband, son and I have played it for many years. Today, gesso is not recognized as a word. It is not obscure. Also some medical terminology is not there. You should make this the best it can be!

    Pretty fun, though sometimes frustrating

I love the timed version where you have to find the (or ONE of the) longest words. Though it’s a major bummer to lose on a word that is so obscure that maybe one out of 1,000 non-scholars would know. For instance, I’ve lost on words like “Nutria”, “Fecund”, “Abseil”. Who knows those words? I would be less frustrated if there was some sort of feedback system. But there isn’t.

    Disappointed

I loved the original Jumbaline. I played it for years, competing against myself. I never tired or it. I really do not enjoy Jumbaline2. So many words are either foreign spellings or non-existent that it really isn't even worth the time to play. Sorry. You had a good thing but not now. I still have the old version but like a previous poster mentioned, I get the big white rectangle and have to reset after every word. Believe it or not, I often do this just to avoid playing Jumbaline2.

    Frustration

I enjoy word games so I had high hopes for this app, but there are some serious problems. First, if you correctly complete a game screen, filling each answer spot, the game automatically bumps you up to the next level of difficulty. You cannot stay at the level that best suits your ability. So, within an hour, I had reached my level of frustration. It wasn’t fun anymore. And there was no going back. Second, there is inconsistency in word validity, as others have noted. Words are not accepted when I know they are words. Occasionally proper nouns (names) are expected. Some suffixes are accepted but others are not. Some Greek is accepted but not others. Please fix #1. That is essential.

    Software issue

Recent Apple updates have resulted in an inability to review the list of accomplishments and other select topics. As an example if I touch the podium to see who has the best score the only thing that happens is the noise it makes and then nothing. This is the same for both links. Hope you can figure out a repair. I do enjoy playing this game; so please do not take the 1 star seriously as I am only trying to catch someone’s attention. Thanks!
