How does it Work?

Many trick-taking games are not directly related to Bridge or Whist. Perhaps the foremost one is HEARTS, which is truly one of the greatest card games ever devised for four players, each playing individually.

The player holding the 2 of clubs after the pass makes the opening lead. If the 2 has been removed for the three handed game, then the 3 of clubs is led.

Each player must follow suit if possible. If a player is void of the suit led, a card of any other suit may be discarded. However, if a player has no clubs when the first trick is led, a heart or the queen of spades cannot be discarded. The highest card of the suit led wins a trick and the winner of that trick leads next. There is no trump suit.

The winner of the trick collects it and places it face down. Hearts may not be led until a heart or the queen of spades has been discarded. The queen does not have to be discarded at the first opportunity.

The queen can be led at any time.

Nice UI Updates but Gameplay reminds me of 1996

The UI updates are nice but now there is no point in playing the game. No longer do you have easy, medium and hard settings. Now you have a windows 95 era game of hearts; try and shoot the moon every-time. The AI is too dumb to try and stop you. If your cards are no good for shooting the moon someone else will and the other two AI players are too dumb to take a single trick to keep the other AI player from shooting. This is exactly how hearts in Windows 95 worked. Not sure how one could turn back AI capability 20+ years but this company figured it out. Time to find a new game with real all around human or AI game play.

Ads are hard to avoid! And cost too much to make disappear.

I enjoyed your game until the upgrade, which added ADS right on top of my cards. I can’t (hardly) play the game now without (accidently) touching the ads and redirecting my screen to open those up. And $2.00 a MONTH to remove ads?? Seriously? I’m not paying you $24 a year to NOT see ads! I would’ve paid $5 one time, but not every month. Sorry, but I’ll find another game to play.

Hate it!

I played the former version. I was forced to download the new version; it won’t allow me to play the former version. I liked the former version just fine! I could see the cards better, there were less sound effects and less steps to play your hand. Even the scoring is off! I only made it through one round, and deleted the new version. It stinks!

Not a fan of the new version

It forces me to upload the new version which the cards are way smaller Yet there is tons of open space on the board. It’s hard to read the cards as the font is very linear. Plus as the cards are played it’s very herky jerky. I wish they’d let me play the older version!!!!!

Awful new version

I agree with all the other reviews that this is so much worse than the previous version. Additionally I cannot get rid of the ads that cover the cards without paying for it. What a rip off!

Go Back to the old

I played the old version all the time. Had to Install the newer version this morning. HATE IT!! It is too jerky - cards are to small - don’t like the colors. Let me go back to the old version!! I’m going to have to find a new favorite game. BAD UPDATE!

Why the need for change?

There was nothing wrong with the old version. Sometimes newer is NOT better.
