just got it and it seems fun but

so i just downloaded not long ago and i was super excited as i finished all the love island game series multiple times and when i realized it was a match 3 i was fine with it how ever there is way more match three then actual game play and i believe i speak for the majority of players when i say i downloaded it for the story line. i think it would be better if i could play multiple levels at once stock up on stars, then play without having to play match three after every sentence or two. also the price of the diamonds are a whole different story but from what i’ve played so far, as long as you get good scores you don’t really need them except for outfits and you start off with enough to by one outfit at least so good game and i love fuse box and love island but like i said i think it would be cool if you could play more then one level at once even if it was just a few more so u can get a bit more gameplay in a row ps cant wait for season 4 in the other love island game second ps levi is mine 😩

    LOVE THIS APP

I love this app minus the puzzles. It isn’t a deal breaker bc the concept is fair far as it earning you certain choices and points, but I’d def enjoy the game a lot more without it OR with a more interesting/fun way to earn points/choices. I love the design and artwork and even the storylines! I love the outfits! I hope more are coming soon.

    3.5/5 stars

So I went into this game with an open mind. I absolutely love Love Island the game, and was disappointed to hear why season 4 was delayed again. However, when this game came out there were a few things that stood out to me that I wish were in the original love island game; the animated character interactions, the main character creation face, and the ability to mix different category items (necklaces, dresses, shoes, etc.). When I heard this was a matchmaking game, I was actually kind of excited— I love match making games because it really helps my anxiety. The only thing I don’t love about this game is how often the puzzles come up. Having to complete a matchmaking puzzle is fine, however, when it’s after every scene change and before every new character introduction, it makes me want to not play it as much. I like the idea of this game, but I wish it was more evened out between story mode and match making mode. 50/50, rather than 95/5. If that was adjusted this game could easily get a 5/5.

Improvement on Graphics, But Disappointing Gameplay

Gameplay is probably fun for those who enjoy puzzles. However, for those who only want to participate in the storylines that you experience in Fusebox’s Love Island app, please know that this app does not allow you to skip the puzzles, and that your level of success on those puzzles influences the choices you’re allowed to make. Otherwise, I LOVE the improvement of graphics and character design. I hope Fusebox could consider taking these improvements over to the Love Island app when they release season 4. I really like how the characters facial expressions/movements are now animated. It would also be ideal if they took the storyline improvements (Ex: Being able to couple up with Cherry in season 1) when they release season 4 as well.

    Too difficult

I loved the original love island game and was happy to download this game. I’ve played games like toon blast, candy crush, and other like games, and the levels in this love island are pretty difficult. Not only that but you need to get 3 stars to have all the choices. It’s too difficult for only being able to play one conversation per game. Also the diamonds are super annoying. If you don’t get 3 stars it will either take 500 or 1,000 diamonds to select other choices. If you complete the daily tasks you get around 300 diamonds then have to wait another 24 hours to get more. The outfits are all expensive too, all over 1,000 diamonds and to refill lives it’s 1,200 diamonds. They made this game basically to take your money. It’s super expensive to buy diamonds and they make the gameplay so difficult you almost have to buy diamonds. It was not worth them cutting season 3 of the original love island game short to release this one. Make things more fair especially knowing younger people play it. Please make the levels easier or make make it so you play a game and get full choices on one conversation!!

    Just not worth it…

This game has potential I give it that, and when I played it when It first came out it was the same way. I reinstalled since season 4 of love island is pushed back so fuse box can focus on this game, so I thought I would try again and see what changed. Not much has though which is a huge disappointment especially since no one wanted this game and most people are more interested in season 4. It’s very similar to candy crush with a story in the background. After the characters exchange a line of dialogue you have to match again to continue…it’s just too often. Honestly fuse box it seems like your trying to use this to get money, but you’re not listening to your audience. games like this are usually to get money out of people since you can’t progress unless you complete the level and that’s usually done with a power up you buy, and with the matching SO OFTEN it makes it seem like that’s the only point of focusing on this.

    Another matchmaker game?

True this one has the added feature of moving a story along, but really how many more matchmaker games do we truly need? It mainly follows along with Love Island Season. 1 and 2 and quickly becomes more challenging as tome goes on. If you don’t get three stars your choice on dialog becomes limited and you have to choose between an awful choice or a semi ok one. Imagine only having the choice for the worst pick! Also it’s amazingly slow in progression. Every game gets you a sentence or two of dialog and then you have to play again. It’s also the same puzzle game for any story line so you can’t try out another one without the same issue. I know that Love Island the game, which this was based on, was so much better than this. The graphics are fun and some of the dialog has been changed a bit, but it’s not the unique love island game that we all know and love. I wish that the creators of this game would think about the appeal of the other game and put more time and effort into that. We don’t need another gem game, there are millions. What we want is something unique and fun. Sadly this isn’t it. :(

    Disappointed

I really enjoy the game love island by fusebox so I figured I would support the company and try this game out and see what it’s like. I am not a fan of match style games since for the most part they are just a complete cash grab and nothing else and I thought this one might be different since the should have a story focus with the matching being sort of an after thought but I was completely wrong the story stuff is a complete after thought, basically this is a match game with a small dialogue after each game and of course good options are impossible to get without power ups and of course that costs money, it’s really sad to see love island stuff go this route but I am sure there will be people willing to throw their money at this game so they can get the best dialogue options I just won’t be one. Hopefully fusebox does not forget about their original game that made them a known company for this type of matching stuff. If you like candy crush and all those other matching games out there you might like it, but this game was nothing like I thought it would be and got rid of it off my phone in less than an hour of downloading. Maybe others will have better luck with this game.

    Cash grab with bad development

This game is a low tier rehash of Fusebox’s Love Island: The Game. In fact, it isn’t a rehash at all; it is the same game except transformed into a Match Three type game. Match Three levels are placed between incredibly short intervals, making it impossible to progress through stories at a steady speed. If stars earned though matching levels allowed players to participate in as many following decisions, this would not be a problem (3 stars equaling 3 decisions, not 3 stars equaling 1 decision with three available choices). Players are limited in options they can respond with based on how many stars they received, every level. It doesn’t seem like there is an option to play levels outside of dialogue, slowing down the progress even more. Overall, this is a disappointing excuse for new development by the company and it is regrettable that so many writers were laid off of the LITG team for a game that has completely disappointed Fusebox’s fans.

    Not Feeling It

The match 3 aspect is fun in itself, but there are plenty of other games like it. The dialogue options depend on how well you do in the game and that’s where things get messy. A few sentences of dialogue followed by yet another round of match 3 breaks the immersion completely; Sometimes I forgot where the story left off because I spent so much time on the puzzle. The fact that lower scores leads the player to choose meaner dialogue/have less options is silly as well (and this is coming from someone who finds the puzzles easy). You would have been better off making the new stories in the original Love Island format, where there’s no interruptions in the story, dialogue is free (except for the usual gem scenes) and outfits are purchasable. But the quality of the story being dependent on how well a player does in a match 3 game/how much they’re willing to pay? Nah. Speaking of which, if you’re planning on bringing Season 4 of Love Island to this app, don’t.

    highly disappointed

when i saw the ad for this i was thinking a revamped love island the game with more stories and different genres and better visuals. unfortunately, it’s a matchmaking game which i feel wouldn’t be horrible if it wasn’t so frequent like every conversation you have there's a puzzle before it. that’s ridiculous and the fact that you have to do well on the puzzles to make choices completely takes away the enjoyment of the story. now i’m making choices and the story is going in directions i don’t want and that’s not a good story app to me. i can’t really tell what is the important factor for the game either the story or the game ?? the way it’s looking is, it’s the game because the story isn’t even yours if you don’t do well in the game. also, wayyy too expensive for clothes , hair, shoes and accessories. it’s completely unrealistic and a clear money grab so please don’t waste your money play love island the game if this game is your introduction to fusebox. it’s much better for storytelling and less expensive. however, i love the animation on the characters and how much cleaner the app is as far as visuals but i hope these negative reviews will be an eye opener for the developers to try something different because this is not it.

    Too hard

The levels are too difficult. It’s annoying! If you don’t spend any money, you will spend DAYS on one level. If you spend a little, same thing! The levels also doesn’t make any sense. Like they seem impossible to win. And then when you work on it for DAYS, it starts to feel like it. I had more than one level reshuffle five times and still couldn’t get it done. I started it early yesterday. Still working on it. And they used the exact same story from their story game. I already did that. I was hoping for something new. Not new characters but at least difference in the story. You’ll spend more time spending money on this game then actually playing it. This game will make you feel dumb. I don’t appreciate that. This game is too irritating and annoying.

    Annoying.

Let’s be honest here, the game is annoying. Am I happy to see season 1 characters again? Absolutely. Am I crazy about the fact that after any character says TWO lines of dialogue we have to play a stupid matching game? Hell no. And if you don’t win in the matching bit you can’t progress the game. It’s so freaking annoying and time consuming. It’s taken me a full hour just to meet all the characters. Also it’s so much more expensive than the original game. All the choices are like 500 to 2000 diamonds. They charge you like $10 for 5000 diamonds. Now assume you make every 2000 diamond option—that’s BARELY 2 “romantic” options for $10. This game is a waste of time. I’d rather just replay the original game where I have all the cool stuff unlocked instead of repaying for a tedious rebuff of it.

    A weird mix

The story totally takes away from the matchmaker part since you don’t even feel accomplished when you finally beat a level only to get one star and be forced to turn down the person you like super rudely or spend real money, and the matchmaker part practically ruins the story. You don’t even know what choice is coming up, and you can’t replay individual levels. Also sometimes there is so much time in between the super short story portions because you can’t beat a level that it breaks all continuity. Also a lot of the levels just aren’t very fun to play. There are way better matchmaker games out there, and if you want a story game I recommend Choices. No need to play a poorly combined mixture where both parts are a total disappointment
