How does it Work?

Too many cooks in the kitchen? Sounds like a game of FAMILY STYLE! Shout and scramble for space to cook dishes in this new and hectic party game for 2 to 8 friends.

Family Style is a cross-platform party game that transforms your living room into a virtual kitchen. Race against time as you frantically complete recipes and desperately shout instructions at your teammates. Manage your own stations and work together with your kitchen staff to complete recipes before time runs out!

How many rounds can you and your friends survive before the dinner rush gets the best of you?

=========

COOPERATIVE

A great kitchen needs all hands on deck! Pass ingredients to your teammates to help them complete dishes and win the round, but don't forget to stay alert. You might have the missing ingredient your friend needs.

FRANTIC

Time is constantly ticking down so recipes need to be completed as soon as possible! In the dinner rush madness, your table space might become too cluttered. Don’t let your station get too messy or you'll have a hard time passing ingredients.

REWARDING

It’s not easy running a kitchen with friends! While it can sometimes be a messy and hectic affair, nothing is as fulfilling and fun as successfully completing a complex recipe through superb communication.

    Awesome Communication Game! Fun

It is very fun, I started to play with my sister and got my other sister to join in. Then we found ourselves playing with our cousins which were half way throughout the country. We had suddenly found ourselves sunk about 50 mins without even noticing. I had also saw another review about crashing, I don't think that is the games fault because we had that only happen once and we were 1,260 miles away. trying to say, like overcooked 2. I also saw another review which said this was Overcooked 2 to go, which I agree with. We had gotten to level 9, but one of our group numbers said 10? I think it would be cool to have different styles/ categories of gameplay like if you choose Chinese you would only make Chinese food and the background is Chinese (red and gold maybe?) And the pans and friers have skins too. I don't really see the point in buying the skins in the current game which is the only way for this app to make money. Maybe different modes would be cool is what I am And for people to buy stuff maybe try to sell like different modes with the backgrounds and the person hosting who bought the package could invite whoever. Idk just an idea great game!

    BEST, MOST ADDICTING GAME EVER!!

I’ve been looking forward to playing this game for so long, and after I downloaded it, I got hooked instantly! The first night I played, my friends and I had a screen time of 2.5 hours already. I love all of the cute graphics and the cross platform functionality is flawless. It’s definitely the best multiplayer app out there and I always have so much fun playing. This can be a really good game to play as an ice breaker or team building activity. The different themes are so cool and I really look forward to seeing what else this team can implement and come up with. I highly recommend people of all ages to play with their friends and family!!

An excellent excuse to yell at people!

For those who haven’t played, the rules are as follows; Everybody but you has the ingredients you need. When everyone is screaming for their ingredients, scream louder. Your fried broccoli is more important than anyone else’s. By about round 5, the normal game ends, and the screaming match begins. To keep it simple, by round 5 everybody in the room is the final boss. Scream them until their inevitable demise. Seriously though, it’s extremely simple, and a lot of fun for close families. If you have anxiety though, just pray you don’t end up with a frying pan, a frier, or a pot. Once you end up with one, you’re gonna find out what you’re made of.

    A great party game

My cousin told me to get this game to play with her and I thought the concept was interesting. We played with just us, it wasn’t that frantic but it did get pretty insane the farther we progressed, so all you could hear was us screaming out different types of food. Then we added our other cousin in, and we realized that certain sides belong to different people. It was definitely more chaotic. I can’t wait for another family gathering where we can try it with 8 people. It will truly be insanity. This is a great game for communication and some good laughs. I highly recommend this for playing with family and friends.

Really Fun, Minor Fixes In Need

This game is really fun, especially when you play with a lot of friends. Although, there are some bug or glitches that prevents some ingredients from showing up. An example would be when my friends and I were waiting for an ingredient to appear, it never did causing us to lose dishes. Another thing would be crashes. Random crashes would appear on my iPhone X. Although my phone is in new condition and lots of storage, crashes were inevitable. Overall, this game is quite an entertainment!

    Best game yet?

While traversing through the never ending ocean of games I finally hit a gem. Family Style is absolutely addicting. The co-op style of gameplay is not completely novel but you can tell it has improved on basically all aspects from its predecessors. Don’t even get me started on the art, the art style is whimsical yet practical. All of the designs are spectacular, the animation is fluid, and all the mechanics simply click together. You can tell the creators put a lot of thought and love into this game and it truly shows. Family Style is an unforgettable experience. Yabbayeet!

Love it! But there are a few issues

This is a great quarantine game for family! Super easy to get the hang of it but challenging enough where you want to play it over and over again. However there are some glitches we’ve noticed. Occasionally it’ll say that a player has disconnected and end the game even when no players have disconnected. Additionally there are times when a single player—usually the head chef— gets put in a passing loop where they can only pass items to yourself. So if I passed something to the right it’ll just come back through the left. Then we have to restart the whole game. We love the game so it’d be great if this could be fixed!

    Addicting but Frustrating

I’m a HUGE fan of this game, at first it’s slow until you get the hang of it, and then it picks up speed and gets hard but hilarious. The only thing I don’t like is when you lose a level you restart from the VERY beginning. My suggestion is there should be a checkpoint so you don’t have to completely start over, or maybe you have three “lives” before you completely start over. Also I like how there aren’t ads. Other game companies would probably stick an ad in between each level, so I’m impressed that this company did not do that.

    Great

This is a great app. I just downloaded it and have spent almost an hour playing it with my sister today. While I was playing, I noticed that sometimes it would not give you the food items. Also, it would be cool if there was a way to play against a team of “robots” so that if you want to play alone you can. It would also be cool if you could form teams and play against another team to see who could make it farther/faster. Overall though, a great app to pass time while social distancing.

    Too many bugs

The game was rly fun the first few times I played with friends but the last couple of times It lagged way too much. We can’t pass ingredients to each other if the round finishes before we even get the ingredients. I know for a fact it’s not a wifi issue bc I played it in the same place I did the first time and my wifi hasn’t changed since. We closed and restarted the game many times but it still doesn't work. One or more peoples game won’t load on time and it makes the entire game extremely frustrating. Had to delete the app because it’s not working well and it’s no fun playing a game that won’t load. I hope they eventually fix the bugs but it’s been over month now we waited for an update and there hasn't been one. It’s really a shame. This could have been a fun game.

    It’s a decent game

Its not a bad game, it could use some more updates before I consider it enjoyably playable. First off you can’t play online, which is a downer because almost all successful games are online. And second when im playing and I have food on my screen and I put it on my plate or swipe it away or throw it away, I won’t get anymore food and neither do my friends or family. And well just sit there waiting for the time to run out to try again and then when it does run out we just get the same food over again and we’re still sitting there waiting. We tried several times and we weren’t able to complete a single plate. Please fix this and it’ll definitely be worth 5 stars!

The other players that I don't know could join my kitchen

The other player could random ingredients and join my kitchen and then sometimes the game could not start because of them or the other players don't play the game when it starts It's often happened to me and my friends you have to fix it because we are really annoyed and another problem is it spends too long time to make a kitchen could you just make it like normal online games, like could you make it could add friends and invite friends to play like normal games so if you do like that I think these problems are not going to happen again I really like this game so please fix this problem Thank you.

    What the heck?

I was playing this game, and I did pretty much everything that I thought was correct. I put things on the plate like food and toppings, but then an X showed on top of my plate. I threw the piece of food in the trash, and then nothing happened. It might have been a crash or something, but I was frustrated because this looked like a fun game and it really wasn’t and because it kept doing that same thing repeatedly. This is an issue, and I don’t recommend this app to anyone who wants to use a fun kitchen app and gets annoyed just if 1 thing goes wrong. I will not be playing this game again, and I am not happy with what happened. 😠 I might have just done something wrong, but I’m doing playing this game. Of course, I like the graphics and the format of the game, but I’m a little disappointed. Thanks.
