PERFECT GAME ONLY ONE FLAW
There are a lot of battle royal games out there. Most are first person shooters but this is a bit different. It has an isometric playing perspective similar to diablo complete with various classes, weapons and abilities to level up. Pick ups and currency are important as you are constantly trying to open chests and go to vending machines to pay for traps and abilities while the red ring closes in on you. With the mix of these game features comes a unique experience. That being said there is one flaw to that experience. There is multiplayer but no party system where you and a friend can join a battle together. There needs to be a lobby system implemented here where a team can enter a battle together. Many successful games have this feature I e (PUBG, COD) and is key to that success. I would suggest this is added. The majority of people are stuck inside during the pandemic and they want to play this game together with their friends and family. Other wise a smooth and delightful game. High recommended.
Great Game
A lot of people are saying that it’s pay to win or something, and sure, people who pay definitely have an advantage. But why do you think the game is free? They need that in order to make profit. Energy shouldn’t be a problem if you pay some pocket change and if you don’t you’re getting a good game for free. Moving on, this game is probably as good as a mobile game can get, it has decent tutorials but incredible gameplay. In fact, I’d say it’s on par with some PC games. There’s a great system and it has easy controls too. I learned on the first few minutes how to play this game which is amazing. Plus, there are so many different styles to play. You could have a fast character with combo based moves, or you could have a heavy hitting slow character, or in between. The only problem I have are the robot guys that spawn in. Sure, it’s not a problem if a few spawn, but there are always 2 or 3 on you in the beginning of the game. But otherwise, this the best mobile game I’ve played so far.
So goooooood!
I haven’t had this much fun on my phone in awhile. Perfect to sink my teeth into while not working due to the virus. No limit to how much u can play, great maps, great loading times, great weapons, great buffs/perks/skills, monster killing weapon buffs....the most fun farming prematch I’ve ever had. Every weapon demands a different play style, making it fresh longer, lots of achievements, drones, weapon/armor Mgmt, missions etc. lots to keep u busy. Do u charge in like a maniac before everyone has a chance to level up, or build up your strength, health and skills then lie in wait for a one kill victory? Bit of both? U like a quick sword attack or a slow massive damaging dealing Giant mace? Most importantly it’s not pay to win. I’ve beaten high level weapons with a basic leveled up weapon plenty. I’ve gotten epic gear free. I have no problem supporting this game with a purchase or two, it’s the least I can do for the hours of crazy fun I’ve had. ShimmyD is out there waiting to slay you!!!
Great
I’ve been playing this game for a little while, and honestly it’s great. Even though the battle royals genre is so oversaturated that practically any idea is about as fresh as a 2 month old banana you found on the side of the road, Haegin managed to pull off something that works. The melee weapon only ecosystem is fairly well tuned, with enough options (and variations within) to make most kits noticeably varied between each player. I feel most of the weapons are fairly balanced damage wise, and the ones that aren’t can be countered by weapon exclusive abilities and standard abilities. My only issue are the micro transactions. There is a micro transaction system with loot boxes. Even though you can gain items from these crates which will give you an early game (full game time) advantage, there is nothing a f2p account can’t do that a paying account can. I would credit this to the x-coin/ticket system. Practically you can take item parts (used for improving items) use coins to translate these parts to x-coins, and then buy tickets using those coins. When you buy these tickets, you can choose the rarity (scaling price) and item type (armor or weapons) when you use these tickets, you get to choose what specific item you want out of the general option you chose when buying (see above). Ultimately, I feel that this game does deserve a five star review, and that the devs continue driving the game in the right direction.
Favorite Mobile Game of All Time
I’ve played a ton of mobile games. OVERDOX has blown most of them out of the water. The gameplay has a ton of depth. While there is progression through gear improvements, you’ll find that the learning curve is steep and once you begin to master the combat mechanics and knowledge of what skills to pick up and how to farm each map, you will see yourself improving immensely. A skilled player can beat up on a guy who has spent $ to level their gear. And while you can spend $ to gear up more quickly, the game offers a ton of rewards for f2p players as there are an abundance of rewards through grinding xp as well as watching ads (most of which are only 5 seconds). This game is super addicting and as of now after about 1500 matches, I still have a lot to learn and improve upon and I am not getting bored one bit. The only downside is that I play too much and my wife gets mad. But I gotta get them purples!
A Rad E-Sports Contender!
This game takes the rewarding RPG elements of weapon / armor looting & upgrades, the skill-intensive ability-based fighting of a MOBA, and the 1 vs all game mode of Battle Royal and crams it all into one awesome game. I’ve really never played anything like this and my only critique is that I wish the community for this game was bigger! There is a huge opportunity to have fun watching matches and learning how to improve your combat skills with different weapon styles, but the player base just needs to grow to get there. I have definitely NOT experienced any feelings of pay to win here. There are ways to buy additional chances at top-tier gear, but you get TONS of chances just by finish at the top of your matches and playing a little each day. No weapon or armor makes you invincible to a well timed strike to your back from out of nowhere.
Very, very good. But lonely.
The game speaks for itself. If you like battle royals this is a gem for sure. Even better if you enjoy sword style combat. The game is beautiful, easy and fun. The pvp feels engaging and intense. All good things so far; until you realize there is only one gamemode with mostly bots. So disappointed to see absolutely no social interaction options on this masterpiece of a game. I’m finding it pretty hard now to continue playing with just myself and a handful of others that I can’t even socialize with because there is nothing but a dead poorly designed horrific “chat”. Please please please keep working on this game and make it more social with a TEAM based mode! I absolutely will spend more money on this gem of a game, but not until i see more progress. My favorite game on my phone btw. Just wish it was more...
Very Good Game
I didn’t have high hopes when I got this game but after playing it for a bit it’s very addicting and fun! It’s not as pay to win as other mobile games but obviously you can advance easily if you pay. Besides some skill does go into the game so if your sucky at mobile games but you spend money, you’ll still be able to be beaten by somebody who’s good at mobile games but doesn’t spend anything. Graphics are 8/10 I’ve never had connection problems nor lag, and like I said before, it’s very addicting! I recommend downloading this game if you want something to just play on occasion or play a lot. Either way it’s very fun. 10/10
one of the best mobile games i’ve played but...
pretty much just 3 things. In the team death match game mode, i had a game where i got 8 kills but in the end of the game where it shows how many kills everyone on your team had it always says i have 1 no matter how many i got. the next thing is to make the team death match mode one you can pick from the battle royale instead of it being random. last thing is the desert map in battle royale doesn’t have enough health pads. if you take any damage on that map it feels almost permanent because there’s no where to heal. other than that it’s a fantastic game!
Rescinding my precious comments
At first I thought this game was unbalanced. However, it really just rewards people for their hours put in like your average rpg does. The longer you play the game, the more your items and character level up, giving you a bit of an advantage. I still think that this game could use some general polish. For example i do not think the “team” mode should be in rotation for things like royal rumble and the daily challenge (they’re a bit more competitive and shouldn’t be reliant on a team of people who don’t know eachother playing well together in what is 99% of the time a solo player game). I also still think some sort of load out system to be able to quick swap your armor and weapons would go sooooo far (especially if you could swap it right after finding out what map you’ll be playing on/in the loading screens). But all in all this game is a well made and fun game to play!
Good game
I give it four stars because there are some flaws that need to be updated like the “spin” it is super rare to get on another prize I’ve been playing for about 3 weeks and I’ve gotten the same prize for 3 weeks straight, another thing is the upgrading of gears it is very hard to upgrade legendary or hard to get the TP for a legendary maybe add it to the shops or something, the blocking also need improvement and it seems to me that legendary items are weak in here I have three legendary items and I lose to a regular weapon which I don’t get... the missions need to be tuned down a bit too they are super high and need to be increased as you play not have a high demand from the beginning that would be impossible for new players to achieve but overall it is a great game and I’m hooked keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very unbalanced
So first off, this game is fun by itself. I like how you don’t have to collect weapons but instead just collect power ups. But for the weapons part, ever since you guys introduced Legendary weapons, the game became unbalanced. Every time I am against a person with a Legendary weapon, they easily defeat me because 1) They do crazy damage. 2) All Legendary weapons have some sort of status condition that makes it very frustrating to escape from. 3) All the above basically made this game pay to win which in these kind of games is the worst thing you could ask for in a free mobile game. PLEASE either nerf the abilities of all Legendary weapons (like making them deal slightly less damage and remove some of the status conditions that activate when hit) or just get rid of all of them as the game used to be balanced when the rarities were just Common, Normal, Rare, and Epic.
Fun but
It’s fun, but the ranking system is definitely broke. If you win a fight or place in the top 3 you’re good, but place below that and you lose XP, actually you lose so much XP it takes 2 battles to gain back what you lost, and a total of 3 battles to start gaining XP again. If you lose during a level up or promotion battle you lose a star and it will drop you into negative XP and will take anywhere from 4-6 battles to get you back on track to level up. It’s definitely pay to win, you’ll be destroyed by the people that are dropping real world money on the game, you’re not even going to compete with them if you get into a match with someone that’s pay to win. There’s a special battle you can fight, but you’ll never place in the top 10 when the timer runs out on it, top 10 is always pay to win players.
Fun
To win most of the games you need good weapons and equipments... in the beginning when everyone is evenly matched it’s a lot of fun. As your levels get higher there will be players with this weapon called Goliath. Players that have this weapon can ride on it swing it around and crash it into people (your opponent will also not be able to hit you because of the speed you’re moving at looks like you’re lagging/glitching). If you are an unlucky player or am like me and prefer to use weapons with a little more skill then you will no longer enjoy the game like you use to. I am a player that also spends money on the games I play. This is one of the games that isn’t even worth spending money on because of that single weapon. But overall if they remove that weapon it would make the game definitely worth it
