I decided to try out the new Webkinz game. The graphics are gorgeous with the exception of the pet. The pet looks okay in the right corner, but when you’re walking around, your pets eyes look kind of creepy. However, the gameplay seems really fun. There’s a bunch of quests that you can do. You can also walk (or ride) through downtown Kinzville. The new park is really nice and realistic and has an awesome carousel. The games have limited numbers of plays a day, but it’s not a big deal.

My last review was super negative, but after trying the game out for a longer amount of time, I’ve honestly come to enjoy it. I bought a virtual Unicorn, and made a baby with my husky and she’s actually pretty cute, I named her Twinkle! There’s some pets that still kinda scare me, especially the frog, and Ms. Biscuit still kinda creeps me out as well, but other than that it’s really not a bad game. I’m enjoying dressing my pets up, decorating their rooms, and starting over again in general. I still play Classic as well, I love both versions because they’re both special in their own way. I’ll also say that I’m still not a fan of the new plush style, they just look boring, and dead-eyed to me so I’m glad we still have the option to buy virtual pets. I do wish more would be added as well, the arcade is fun but can get boring after grinding for hours. I’m always needing Kinzcash, so I do hope more ways to get some will be added in the future. It’s honestly not a bad game, though can be glitchy and laggy but many games are like that. I’ll continue to enjoy both games, though I can’t wait for more features to be added to Next (Curio Shop, Kinzville Academy, etc), I’ll give 4 stars for now because of the lack of things to do, and lack of ways to get Kinzcash and such, but it’s still super cute and fun!

I just wanted to post a review from the stand point of someone who understands what goes into game creations and limitations of softwares I think this game is fantastic so far. Not everything is running perfect, no one should blame webkinz at all for that either the game literally just came out. KNOWING this ISNT a replacement to classic webkinz I grew up playing and continue to play, I love the differences in each game because when I get bored with one I can hop to the other and back and forth. It is a shame that we can’t transfer our old pets over but I totally understand that the difference between Flash and the software used in the new game would make it completely impossible, but I feel that the veteran players who’ve spent quite a lot of money in the classic game should be rewarded for it in the newer game, that would definitely make SOME of the veteran players happy, like me. I’m excited to see what you all do with this new game!!

I just want to come on here and say this isn’t horrible and could have potential. It’s very barebones right now. I’m very worried because it’s nothing compared to classic and I really hope this doesn’t replace classic. Webkinz was my whole childhood. All I ever asked Santa for was Webkinz. Everyone knew to just get me Webkinz as birthday gifts. I ended up with 172 Webkinz in total and just bought a new virtual one in classic. I’m 20 now and I would be heartbroken if all those pets got deleted. Especially in the name of this new game. I got the cat but feel mo affection towards it like I do my classic pets

I like the game but barely anybody is around you? It’s really fun and I love it but let’s get into the part where I don’t really like I never really liked this in the original game either but something just popped up on my screen it gives me a mini heart attack so every time something pops up on my screen I would just gasp for air when I was playing I fainted for an hour😛

It’s nothing compared to the original. The characters look terrifying there’s literally no one ever online when I play, almost all of the buildings are even opened you should have waited until they were finished then release it so we would have more to do but I do like that you can use your Webkinz classic account to log into this the irl plushies don’t look good either for this one it’s nice that you can enter the codes for both games but even then they look better in the original webkinz even though the eyes are just not it overall this game is not the best but I mean if you want to play go ahead be the judge I’m just stating my opinion

Those of us that have been playing on what is now known as “Classic” Webkinz, have been asking for, begging for, Ganz to update and improve certain things in Webkinz World, for years! Well, they did, but not on “Classic” Webkinz. Instead they made this monstrosity. Yes, I did download it and play it, but it didn’t take long for me to see that THIS new version of Webkinz World was going to push The now “Classic” Webkinz to the back. We have begged for doors to be removed, but “No!, but they did it on the “New” Webkinz. The ability to put more than two items on a table. The ability to angle an item like a chair. And, Bring back the stuffed pets and trading cards. Again, “No!” I realize that Flash is going away at the end of the year, and the PC desk top app has literally “saved” Webkinz for us, but WHY did you have to waste time AND money creating something “New”, when all you really needed to do was to bring back the plushies, trading cards, fix all the virtual items that haven’t worked in years, stop making so many items cost e-points instead of KinzCash, and most of all remember that Webkinz is played, bought and paid for by ADULTS, not children. Children lose interest really fast. We don’t. However, if you don’t improve the “Classic” Webkinz, you might lose your biggest Cash Cows. Your ADULT players. We have the money, not the children.

This game is literally so horrible, and as a longtime Webkinz fan I’m very disappointed in Webkinz right now. They used to be such a great company, and everyone loved their plush. Ever since they got rid of Webkinz Signatures, everything has gone downhill. We had to wait two years and we were so excited to get the original Webkinz plush back and THIS is what we get?! This is insane. Close to nobody likes this, and anyone that does is absolutely insane. I’m going to be completely honest: This is a last minute hope that their company will get popular again. Everything in the game is overly expensive and the game is poorly made. The new rainbow unicorn and rainbow golden retriever is all a gambling game. The mentally ill people that are so desperate to get them literally end up spending $400 on a stupid knock off beanie boo. Not to mention that beanie boos are way cuter and way higher quality. And they aren’t $400, they’re $7. And the people that are trying to give this game a chance end up spending like $50 trying to get one and they end up getting NOTHING. Webkinz, this is very disappointing and I hope you listen to your fans and decide to bring back the old Webkinz plush before you go completely bankrupt. I’m surprised nobody on the staff has realized how completely stupid this is.

As someone who’s played Webkinz since I was a kid, this is such a disgrace to the game and would be to any other series too. The game is glitchy and requires you to pay to progress your family since you can never get enough materials without paying. And not to mention the terrifying character design. It’s not like Ganz doesn’t have experience with 3D games, they’ve had two widely successful ones in the past (Mazin’ Hamsters and Amazing World) so there’s no excuse for this game to look as downright awful as it does , especially considering they had Amazing World on mobile and it looked just fine. If I were a young kid I wouldn’t want to play this game. The pacing is weird, the characters and animations are choppy and scary looking and it’s just overall not a good game. Ganz had so much potential to make this good and instead did this, which doesn’t look or feel at all like Webkinz.

Like the previous reviewer, I have been a member since the early 2000s. I have over 20 plush pets that I bought and adopted on the website. I never joined Deluxe membership because it upset me that it was taking over. But after getting back on this year, I considered it because of all the perks. I have so many rare pets and rare items on my account on the original website. I’m so scared that all of my pets will he lost after this year. What will happen to them? What will happen to the house I’ve worked so hard on to build? Thousands of hours of play wiped away. Now I have to start with one pet on this new app and I don’t want to pay $19 to get enough diamonds to pay for a second pet to keep growing the family with a baby maker. This is so disappointing. I’ve already paid probably hundreds for the pets I already have.

This app has potential, but I have to say I don’t like it. The pets are not visually pleasing at all, and they are the main focal point of the game. And why get rid of Ms. Birdy? She was the face of Kinzville. I don’t think the new 3D format was a good choice, and frankly a lot of it is just weird looking and creepy. I respect how hard the developers have worked on the game, but it would be better if the developers just worked on expanding Webkinz Classic into the full site it used to be. Also, there isn’t much to do, but I understand that the developers are working on that. Overall I think this app is pretty bad and I think that the developers should work on improving Webkinz Classic and making that into the full game that Webkinz used to be.

I’ve been playing for about a week now with few major problems, so I logged out to make a parents account to activate my ability to type my own chat messages and now it won’t let me back on and says my account doesn’t exist. There’s nowhere I can contact to set it straight, and the password reset link doesn’t work because the password I had set simply isn’t being accepted for me to change it. One would have thought in the last 12 years they could have fixed this issue as I remember my mom having the same trouble when I was a kid trying to play this game.

I’ve been a Webkinz player since 2009. I have purchased Deluxe membership almost every year since then and have adopted over 200 pets. I am immensely disappointed in this new game, and I wish they would have made your Webkinz “Classic” account transfer over since I have spent thousands of hours playing and collecting almost all of the room themes. Webkinz has always been one of the few things that consistently brought me joy, and as a person with chronic illnesses, I always turn to Webkinz whenever I’m too sick to do anything else. I guess this is a sign that I need to grow up and stop playing games.

I love webkinz a lot. I’ve been a dedicated player since 2007 and use the webkinz classic app everyday. When I heard there would be new plushies I was really excited to get one and play the new app. But this is just... bad. It’s extremely ugly and the dog at the adoption center is very uncomfortable to look at. She’s far too human and just looks like a diet furry. The animals have creepy, almost human like eyes and the graphics are just ugly. I really don’t understand why they opted for 3D instead of 2D. I actually am not against a 3D webkinz experience, the furniture and rooms looks pretty good. But the designs for the pets are terrible. Please god change them.
