Would be so fun if you weren’t forced to spend money...

I’m up to level 75 and I’ve noticed the same issue I see here multiple times. You are intentionally making the levels unwinnable without spending money. When a restaurant is maxed out on upgrades and I have to use 2 ‘extra times’ or customer options to be able to beat it, it feels sleazy. You know what you’re doing, stop the antics! It’s a really great game people would continue playing for a long time but those of us who have played a lot of these types of games see exactly what’s happening. Either give boosters in more ways and make them less rare or make the levels beatable without them. You will lose a loyal customer base!

    Cook Off

I’ve been playing Cook Off it’s a fun game I take the offers that Cook Off gives which is also great fun but for some reason Cook Off offered me 1400 hats for signing into Facebook when I sign in Cook Off gives me a error message saying something went wrong I cannot get the 1400 hats cause there is a problem and Cook Off is working to fix it but it’s been months and it’s not fixed yet I think this is unprofessional of Cook Off the offer is made available and the hats accommodate playing the game mor successful my point is I play Cook Off and I should not have to wait months and months to get a available offer will you fix it as a regular player of Cook Off I would appreciate it. THANKS!

    Fun but it has issues

I enjoy the game overall but the timed levels have major issues! I find that most of the times, the customers are served right away with no wait yet I fail and then forced to use chef hats or play over and over again until I win. It becomes very frustrating. I also have a problem with Canadian section. I press the microwave a lot and it doesn’t back any cookies during fast paced levels. You also have customers that appear immediately asking for the colored cookies that aren’t made yet because we don’t have a choice which colors get made which is also annoying. The microwave constantly has issues at high levels which causes me to lose a lot. Level 69 has a huge issue as well. I served all customers immediately and have constantly coming up short on points then forced to watch an ad for three more customers which I do and then fail again and now asking to BUY hats to continue which won’t happen! Please fix the issues and it would be a lot more fun. I appreciate that you have much different food from most of the other cooking games which makes your app a lot more interesting. Thank you!

    Big Fan!....

I love this game and I’ve been playing it forever! It’s my go to when I’m just trying to relax and enjoy some me time...but I’m getting really IRKED at the moment because I feel like I’m being cheated out of my chef hats because NONE of the ads are working so I’m being forced to use more than usual. This needs to be fixed if you offer something then it should work...you JUST added the extra little feature to earn even more hats but that doesn’t work nor canI use the option for doubling my points or getting my extra turn with the piñata! I don’t like feeling cheated which is why I know if this isn’t fixed soon I’m out after playing this game for nearly 2yrs smh... I don’t like complaining even through many other glitches but this one has lasted days at this point I feel like what’s the point

    Fun but slight glitch

I really like this game. The levels ramp up their challenge in a nice way. However, the games says you can change the upgrades on the houses anytime but when I try to change them it only allows me to change the siding every time no matter what I tap on the house; which is very annoying since I want to change the windows. It also charges you chef hats to change stuff so I “paid” to change it thinking then I’d be able to change something else then paid to change it back because it still wasn’t what I wanted. So just know if you pick something on the remodel even if it’s a mistake you’re stuck with it. Other than that the game is extremely fun and satisfying. Update: As I’ve been playing the game more it’s glitching more. Some of the items are not cooking when tapped, especially the first time they’re being activated. I tried different levels to see if it was a new challenge for that level and it’s the same items each time. This results on items burning or not being as efficient in game play making playing less satisfying and fun. If you loose because you loose that’s one thing but to loose because the game is glitching is extremely annoying. Also, MAJOR issue is when you go to get app support you’re taken to a website that doesn’t list this game and has no way to contact the developers for this specific game. That’s really crappy. If this game keeps glitching and this issue gets worst I’m going to delete it.

Designed for you to fail (sometimes)

This game is fun and all but I can truly tell that some of the levels/rounds are designed for you to fail. For instance they’ll give you a short time frame to serve a certain number of customers. For one, the customers take forever to walk up to you, two, the countdown takes away a few seconds automatically. Three, when the requirement (for example) is 35 dishes in 60 seconds, they’ll sometimes purposely add in a bunch of customers that only want one or two things, causing you to easily fail and have to spend your chef hats for more time. Also, when the goal is to reach a certain amount, customers would buy the cheapest stuff!!! It doesn’t matter how fast I give each of them the item. I understand you guys have to make money somehow but STOP DOING IT THIS WAY!!!! ANOTHER thing I want CHANGED is how some levels would make you serve A BUNCH of customers, most of the time only wanting one thing. There was a level where I had to serve OVER A HUNDRED CUSTOMERS!!! THAT’S INSANE!!! PLEASE TAKE THAT OFF OF THE GAME!! EVEN SERVING 60 IS OBSURD, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PAY OUT IS NO DIFFERENT THAN SERVING 20 CUSTOMERS WITH ABOUT 60 DISHES!! And reading the past reviews just lets me know that you guys don’t care about our opinions because I read the same kind of complaints that I have from MONTHS AGO!! FIX IT ALREADY!!! Once this stuff is changed/fixed, I’ll give 5 stars :)

Fun but some levels are unbeatable

Without using powerups. Like you gotta get 25 “likes” in 90 seconds but then in the 90 seconds you only get 20 customers, making this impossible. When you inevitably fail, the game then offers you 30 extra seconds for watching an ad or 35 chef hats. Not sure if this is on purpose, but it’s really annoying. Ive watched the ad or paid the 35 chef hats on a couple of occasions but it seems to be becoming more frequent as I go further and where before this only happened for the silver or gold completion of a level now it is happening at bronze completion so I cant even beat the level with bronze and just move on. Really frustrating. The game is great and fun, though, and I would’ve given it 5 stars otherwise, but this particular “incentive” to get people to spend chef hats or watch the ads by straight up making levels impossible just rubs me the wrong way and I probably wont be playing this game much further.

    Fun for a while

The first home remodel is challenging. Learning how the game works is pretty simple, each button a bit more difficult with new items to cook or serve. The levels are sections marked off bu homes that you’re “remodeling” (very simple pick a color type) within the level are 60 or more buttons, and you need to play each one 3 or more times to collect coins to buy upgrades for cooking! and letters for the remodel of that levels house. By the second home you will be using more boosts early on, and the buttons near the end of the level are ridiculous. The items to cook are spread out, so maybe the game is meant for play on a small screen. I enjoy time management games, and have several that I’m playing at very high levels. But sadly if I go thru all my lives on one button while using boosts, it just isn’t fun anymore. I’m playing to relax, don’t want a game that makes me angry. #waitingforupgrades

    So fun, at first

Awesome, awesome game. However, once you get higher in the levels and have “like” levels, the customers come in way too slowly for the level to be winnable. I’m seeing the developers responses on here to similar reviews that the levels are tested rigorously to ensure that every level is winnable- that’s garbage. If everyone is complaining about the same issue, fix it. Don’t give a BS excuse. How in the world do we beat a level that you’re intentionally making the characters move too slowly? I’ve played so many games like this and I don’t mind difficulty in a game, even if I get stuck on a level. I’ve stayed stuck on levels for over a month and I’m fine with it. I’m only a few days in on this game and I’m ready to shelve it because these levels are blatantly created to make you spend money. When I come across a game that shoves you into microtransactions to advance, I refuse to give them any money. Other similar games I will shell out money here and there because I get that developers need to get paid. TLDR- stop making excuses and fix this and you’ll have a phenomenal game with happy payers. Keep making excuses and people- like me- will delete and not come back.

    Unfair Levels

Some timed levels are unfair. Especially the ones that are timed and need thumbs up to complete. No levels should require boosts to complete. I think some testing on levels that require thumbs up in timed levels to verify this and I’m always short of 5 customers before time runs out. Boosts should never be a requirement to complete a level. It should only be used to make a level easier. Also, the mechanics of the game is so strange. The game can’t determine which dish to add toppings to complete for the customer. Once you put the topping on, if it happens to be on the last one, you’re screwed since adding a second topping to the last one is impossible since the mechanics will only shift the added toppings to the bottom first as it’s the first dish. Say you made a mistake with a topping that happens on the first dish (bottom), you can’t change to a different topping and put it on the next dish (middle) without it first combining with the first dish (bottom). This is the worst mechanism in these games when the game can’t recognize which combos are require to complete orders without first forcing you to waste whichever dish happens to be located first in the row.

    Fun at first

This game was incredibly fun at first, however, just like others have said, the higher you go, the more impossible it is to win. Almost every time I play a level now, it’s impossible to pass, because THE CUSTOMERS COME IN WAY TOO SLOW!!! I will be done with an order, however, I have to wait for a long time for another customer to appear. I play tons of other cooking games, and no other game does this! Why do they always have the customers come in so slow. It is impossible to beat many levels, because the needed amount of customers NEVER show up. Many times, I’m just sitting around and waiting for one of them to slowly walk in. I refuse to spend money on this game, and I will have to stop playing if the customers don’t speed up. I know developers have to have seen the speed customers come in other games. I’m not sure why the developers have chosen to come into in slow motion. I am not an idiot, and I know this is clearly done on purchase to get you to pay to win levels, however, I refuse to do so. Just like many others have said, speed the customers up, or lose me

    Used to like the game

I used to enjoy the game. Then I started noticing that there was NO possible way to win some levels at some times. I just played a level (59). I lost the first two times, so I used the no cook time button (that I had to use hats to buy..and yes, I purchased hats yesterday....BIG MISTAKE!). You would think that if I had no cook time and everything was cooked as soon as I needed it, it would be a breeze to pass the level. NOPE!!! Not even, said I ran out of time! How? I lost the level, and was given the option to use hats. I used them and guess what? I still didn’t pass the level. So, after wasting all of that I wasted the rest of my hats to buy even MORE time! Then when I went to contact support....it kept taking me to the “App Store” that it couldn’t connect to. I opened the App Store from my phone and voila....it opened no problem. Just a big waste! I’m so very disappointed.

    Game becomes annoying after awhile!

The game cheats as you go higher in level. For an example, if the goal is to reach a threshold of money.... each customer will come in requesting one item and it’s always the cheapest item. Even if you serve them ahead of time and get tips, you still won’t make a goal. I think the company’s main goal is for you to watch ads or pay chef hats so that they can make revenue. On the other hand when the goal is to get a certain set of likes, the customers are fast in when coming in and they order multiple items so that it is impossible to fulfill with a thumbs up. On top of that, it takes a while to even upgrade the cheapest supply or ingredient. The game would also be more fulfilling if it is offline. I don’t see the reason why the internet is required. It’s not like you have neighbors to visit or have anything to do with the internet except to watch ads or pay for chef hats. This game was fun at first, but the further you go the more the goals becomes unrealistic to the point that you delete the game like I did. Even when you watch ads for customer boosts or time, it still slows the amount of customers coming in and still gives the customers the cheapest items to buy. I love difficulty. I just don’t love when the company tries to take advantage of a game through ads and cash.

Agree with “game becomes annoying at higher levels”

I’m an adult who enjoys playing cooking challenge games. At first as others have said the game is fun and fair. But as you get to the higher levels the flow of customers becomes slow so you are forced to either keep retrying and lose hearts or buy whatever is needed to continue, which is what they want of course. I saved up a ton of coins so I could buy out all the upgrades at the new levels and even with all that the customer flow is so slow that there is no way to win some levels without buying something, which I refuse to do. Their answer of you can watch ads, etc, only pops up once in a while, so no, that is NOT always an option. So tired of games that try to force you to make purchases, if you are good at the game, you shouldn’t be penalized by slowing it down to force purchases. Don’t give me the lame: there are ways to earn it, blah blah blah. The people come out way slower at the higher levels making it hard to win with real money purchases. Also, WHY doesn’t the money you worked hard to earn at one house, go with you to the next house level!!! Foul play on having to start over at zero!!!!
