Video Manual: How to Use the Survival: Wasteland Zombie App

How does it Work?

It was a peace and happy land. Warm house and billboard lighten up when evening falls, weather forecast telling you if it is suitable for going out though you seldom gave it attention. When the nightmarish Infection burst all of a sudden, spread itself everywhere before the civilization noticed, and turned most human beings into brutal zombies, human ruler seemed to have to release their control and underwent the attack of wild nature the once brothers.

Long period of striving must begin. Maybe it’s gonna be long enough for you, one of a few survivors turns the once real history into nonsense in your mind. But wait, will you give up? You know struggle would make a difference. You know you remain reluctant. And only keeping alive can there be a chance for hope, though hunger, thirsty, coldness and zombies will all threat your life, other survivors may also be your enemy in cruel environment. Start to act! Craft weapons first to attack the enemies. Build the strong house and advanced equipment. And find partners to cooperate. Could the mankind society be back? Who knows?

Let’s start the game and see what will come.

Tips to add your life hours:

- Pick up wood and stones to craft tools.

- Craft weapons to defend yourself against zombie harassment and rob materials from zombies and wild animals.

- Keep an eye on your health point HP.

- Try dispersing your enemies then act, sneak attack causing more damage and making you hard to be found by them. Kill them and you can get close to the boxes for precious survival materials.

- Learn to cook and make thick cloth to keep you from the hunger and cold.

- There is nothing more important than to build a comfortable and stable house.

- Be careful when you see other survivors before you are sure they are kind. Possibly you need to fight.

- Build the kennel and keep a dog. That may make the crazy zombie world a little warmer.

- Fix the radio to collect useful information.

- Craft workbench to upgrade your equipment and weapons.

- Craft traffic tools to travel to farther places quickly.

- Once you unfortunately die, get back to your body and collect your items within 10 mins.

- Explore more open land to find more survival resources.

The crazy apocalypse world might be frightening at first, but there is no need to be totally desperate. You can choose to explore and grab enjoyment. Why not? You have nothing to lose. Hope you can strive and survive longer in this Wasteland island before the return of mankind age.

    Good game but...

I’ve only started playing this game for a little while because I was looking a game like LDOE or better. And this game definitely is good in terms with graphic. I personally like the realistic look that is similar to PUBG and the shadows adds more depth making it even more amazing. But one thing that really should be added, in my opinion and I’m sure many others will like it too, is pop up events. For example, a loot drop, or event that has a story behind it to make it more interesting. Because eventually players will get bored grinding and grinding and short pop up events, makes the game interesting. Another reason why I think events that gives reward is good is because players are gonna need weapons clearing those shelters, otherwise new players will have to wait till they’re like lvl 30 or 40 sum thing to craft guns and they will get bored just grinding for resources as I said. The weapons available to new players aren’t very efficient for clearing those shelters, and more guns means more people clearing those shelters and it’s a good way to progress with the game because there are people who don’t have a lot of patience and end up quitting the game. I haven’t seen any events so I assume that there isn’t any but I suggest there should be, because in LDOE they have it and that’s the thing that players really liked including me.

    Great Game but..

It is a great game no doubt! Fantastic layouts and gameplay, obviously an awesome idea! However it has some features which makes it really tough to survive (although isn’t it the whole idea of it?). For example the zombie daily attack - if I don’t log in right before the attack is suppose to happen then I miss “defending” against it and therefore get some of my stuff (and it’s always the best stuff) automatically stolen. It’s stupid that I only have to login at a specific time.. because what if one day I cannot log in at the “usual” time so I automatically lose stuff and get my house destroyed...like I said, stupid. Another is that many weapons (and other stuff) require blueprints. Which is fine. But any blueprints are very rare in locations and you have to literally go to the hardest places to get just one or two BP’s (and you need quite a few of them just to unlock one thing!). So that makes this game quite hard to advance in. The start is what you’d expect although making food to survive in the beginning can get tough but that’s workable :) Bottom line - great game and fantastically made but could be a bit more “approachable”. 4.2/5*

Way better than LDOE and doesn’t rip you off!

I was playing LDOE for about a month before trying this. The developers of LDOE have basically made the game a money trap and in some cases even taking away recently bought items and not allowing any opportunity to get it back. When you buy a crate and get a cool weapon in LDOE, it breaks very quickly with no easy way to fix it until way way later in the game. Ok, enough about crappy LDOE, let’s talk about Wasteland....awesome game...weapon breaks, go fix it. Need resources, send a robot to get them. Yes, there are some things you may want to pay for but you get them and so far I haven’t experienced any lose of items and everything feels fairly balanced so far. They also offer a chance to get items or in game currency for free by watching an ad (and sometimes not even watching an ad)...this happens about once an hour. I’ve already racked up about 80 currency coins just from those free crates. This game basically took everything LDOE has and made it way better in so many aspects. Thank you to the developers for making a really cool game and not making me feel like the game is trying to gorge me for money.

    Better than LDOE

I can definitely say it’s a lot better & more like a F2P model more than the LDOE game titles. Everything is working fine except now I’m starting to hit small bugs. There’s one where you can’t smelt iron from the furnace. Some items can be duped when not full but replaced with a full stack. An example would be 10 wood in the campfire. Add a 20 stack over it, both numbers turn green & there’s now 20 wood in the Campfire & your 20 in your inventory. I would suggest more locations other than the starter locations you start with before the derelict factory. I would like to see more randomized events. Bigger map area for the farming locations because sometimes it gets randomized, but most of the time, you know where most of the loot is at. Maybe throw in randomized “abandoned” structures with loot & boards blocking the doors. I would suggest starting an official discord server for your game. I find it easier to get the community together because right now, there isn’t many guides out there for new players like myself. One last thing, I highly suggest a google play/Game Center/Facebook or email registration just to keep your current progress.

    Why isn’t there Customization?

Hello developer it’s good to see you I hope you’re doing good I just like to say I really love your game and art work. I love the combat and Design in the game. But I do feel like There should be some things in the game like for example why isn’t there any pet zombies in the game and why isn’t there any Customization to your weapons and guns? I think it would be cool if you can paint your guns in the game and Customize your pets. For example it would be cool if you can give your pet dog armor how cool would that be.😃 And I hope you’re reading this because I think it Would be nice if the map was more big and maybe a fire zombie🔥 oh I did see some bugs in the game I seen some zombies go Through walls and some just Disappear I don’t know why but it’s Weird. I do wish there was a few more boss battles and one more thing. Please add Customization to your Character in the game please I don’t like how My character looks bald and he looks fat. I don’t think you remember me in real life we met one time I do hope you take into consideration my comment and I would like to see your feedback soon have a good one man.😁👍

    Multiple facets of fun

You have a home base to build. You travel to other zones via foot at first, then various vehicles as you acquire/build them. You have pets for home base protection and in combat w Z's. The in-game help is nice. I did have an issue where the in game mission help “forced” me to upgrade a wood working workbench. I had the bench que filled and was unable to follow the in game upgrade help. I couldn’t exit out of the help, clear the que, then re-enter the help mode to upgrade the bench. I ended up having to turn off the mission help. Restarting the game didn’t fix the issue. I turned off the in-game mission help. Unfortunately this is not reversible. It would be nice to turn On the mission help after I did my workaround to get out of my forced and “stuck” situation with in-game help. Not that big of a deal. I may be missing out on certain upgrades and construction flows. But discovery on my own makes for a different kinda interesting/fun. It’s hard to put to the game down...addictive and refreshing gameplay. Would def recommend to friends.

Love this game! Have some things to say though...

This game is fantastic. It keeps me coming back for more gameplay, even if it’s just to farm for more basic materials like wood, stone, iron, or grass. There is a couple of things I have to point out though. I wish that certain melee weapons you could repair. For example the “Saw” (I believe that’s what it is called) and the “Machete.” I haven’t gotten it yet but also the “Murasama” (the katana looking sword.) A problem I have with the game though isn’t the game itself, but it’s the updates. I really love going to play a mobile game and seeing that it has an update and then proceeding to read the patch notes of the update. Reading what’s new or what’s changed about the games I love is fantastic. However, this game doesn’t do that very much even though I know the devs are updating it. For example the tranquilizer bow doesn’t take throwing stones to make it anymore and u can now make gunpowder out of bricks. Overall though, this game is a 5/5 and I definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys survival games!

    Need some changes

First of all I’m not gonna compare the game with other survival games I’m not gonna say it’s better than or worth than just 5 dollars subscription per WEEK is insane it’s so expensive you want me to pay 20 dollars a month for a game that supposed be is a free game ? For what !! To survive the game is good it’s so good but it’s really expensive everything in the game nothing like that I play rust I play scum I play miscrated yeh it’s on pc but still I play other survival game on Mobile but not like that don’t let the people quiet your game it’s ok to make money I can support the developer every month but not 20 dollars you want me to pay 240 dollars every year for your game what you talking about better make season pass with 10 or 15 dollars for 60 to 70 days it’s better make subscriptions like 7 or maximum 10 per month not 5 per week and make some updates and improvements first so the people will come back there is a lot of totally free survival games on every single device

    Addicting! Better than LDOE

So I was playing LDOE for a few days and it was cool, but I was running out of energy so quick! Then I stumbled upon this game and fell in love! This actually feels like a game I would play on a console. I don’t feel like I need any money to actually have fun in the game. The energy takes a long time to refill but if you use it wisely I can easily play for a couple hours before letting it reset. I played for about 6 hours the first day I downloaded it and that’s more than I’ve ever spent in a game for months. I love having it on both my iPad and iPhone so I can easily pick up one or the other and play. I’ve been reading the forums and learning some things are still in development and that’s perfectly ok! I love having things to look forward too while grinding for other things. This made my day and has given me something I can play for 5 minutes or 5 hours without worry of hitting a timer wall! Thank you!

    Great game

As soon as I downloaded this game, it seemed exactly like LDOE. I also noticed how much space the game takes up. I was debating whether or not I should delete it, primarily because my phone does not contain that much space. However, I’m glad I kept it. I’ve been playing for over a week now and I’m pretty satisfied with my experience. It’s easy to obtain resources but not so easy that it destroys the game. The gold coins are very helpful and easily obtainable as well which helps with the overall game experience. I don’t use them a lot. Usually to revive myself. Anyways, I find the game enjoyable. It’s definitely better than LDOE in my opinion. The items on the market are very overpriced, but I understand considering how most resources are found easily and money needs to be made somehow and such. I would not pay over $4 a week for a premium type deal. That’s a lot of money at that rate. The stereo is honestly the best thing overall for ME. I actually enjoy 3 of the songs played, and a few of the beats. There are a lot to listen to. It really plays into the mood of the game. I have yet to come by an actual person in the game. But I like that when you’re raided, you don’t lose your items. In most games you do, which is so irritating. Overall I enjoy this game. It’s simple, and fun. I’m excited for breeding! I wish the game would update more though.

    Not bad, could be better.

So, honest review, game isn’t the worst I’ve seen, but it could definitely be better. Let’s start with the micro transactions because... oh boy. $70 USD... for a backpack? This makes it look like not much effort went into the game and it was made for the money. And a $300 pack for free if you spend any money? Okay.... now onto the combat. Combat, not that bad. I kinda like it, except for how durable weapons can be. But hey, I am just starting and weapons probably get better. Enjoying my Lucille tho! Now onto storage; I feel storage could be MUCH better. Bigger stacks (like say wood stacking to 50 or 100), better inventory on boxes (maybe I just need better ones), and a more detailed explanation on how to make your storage better (I thought I could make a bag to expand it, turned out I started with it). So that’s the MT, combat and storage. I guess what’s left is the exploration. It’s not too bad, kinda weird that it’s a 40 min walk vs 8 second run, but hey. Recharge time on a run is 1 energy aka 15 minutes I believe, not bad. Anyways, is the game worth spending money on? I don’t see why yet, I’m debating on the $1 pack to get the husky pet, but I’m trying to FTP it so far for a true experience. Also love the dog companion, and the quests. I recommend at least trying it. Ads only exist if you want free stuff.

    We all play

Started off my husband found this game and started playing out of boredom. Then our son downloaded and was hooked. Then I downloaded and was hooked. 3 new players in 1 night. We’ve been playing for months. My husband has veered the helicopter and made it to the hospital. My son & I can get passed the last wave at the helicopter. It’s now becoming which of us has the better weapons. Here’s the stopper. Apparently you make it to the hospital, but the loot you find is not worth what it takes to get it. And there are so many weapons that currently you can only happen across. You can not make them cause they are not available yet. Come on and make these available already! I read comments that people are mad they’re loosing their stuff when they die. Umm, 10 coins and you instantly revive. I’ve never lost my stuff. Some are talking about quests? What quests? Other than building the motorcycle. I found a journal while plundering someone once but once you’ve gone thru it all your done. It’s all just rinse and repeat. Don’t get me wrong, we love the game! But get an actual update already!

Lost Everything, Waste of time, Waste of money playing.

First of all, this is a good game. I would keep playing but there are a couple of things about this game that made me delete it. I spent money buying weapons and equipments and spent time upgrading and farming for supplies. Lost all those twice when I died and ran back to my body but got killed again. This is the point where I felt all the money and time I spent on this game was a waste. There should be some other way to regain those items back. Because there isn’t, this game is basically a slot machine that wants players to keep putting money in every time they die. Another thing that made me give this game a low rating is the camera. You can’t move the camera so a lot of the mobs that can take you down is hidden from view. In order to survive, you have to look at the mini map and run or creep around dangerous mobs. This takes away the fun and immersive part of the game. I spend too much time looking at the red dots on the mini map. Last straw, my character is running around naked because I lost everything when I died. Game deleted.

    Was better than LDOE...

I used to play LDOE and when I saw this one, it was an immediate improvement. However the most recent update made the game a major p2p. Not only that but the “value” of their in app purchases are not what they are posted to be. A 50 dollar pack will contain items that will take a few hours to obtain. They made upgrading your house to stone (top tier) at least 6 times more resource expensive. Players who are new to the game will never be able to catch up to those who fortified their bases early on. Ever. I’m not whining as an inexperienced player, my entire base is almost stone, but the developers don’t even take the time to notice how inefficient their system is. Now that you can only cut 3 stone at once in the mason when it costs 40 cut stone to upgrade just ONE WALL, the only reason I still play is hopefully they will revert it to the old way. I like the idea of the cold weapon bench, but the new wooden rod is absolutely stupid. Get rid of it. I recommend that everyone rate this app 1 star until their new crafting system is reverted. Do however keep the interlocking chests (where as long as a material is in a chest in your house you don’t have to grab it to craft with it). Also please make walls and floors moveable, they already take a stupid amount of time to upgrade.
