This game is a lot of fun. There are so many sales that go on in the item shop every day. You also get a lot of free stuff just from watching 30 second ads.

This game is SIMPLE. sure there are different balls, which can do different things to assist you in scoring your free kicks goals / you upgrade your players as well in the same manner as a Clash Royale style (collect their cards, then once you have enough cards [[and COINS]] you UPGRADE them and your team gets stronger. It’s NOT a P2P game - but one of those where if you want to progress through at a more reasonable rate, you might drop $5 to help you get there. Really fun game regardless - absolutely 4/5 - GRAB IT!!!!

I love this game, and so do my kids! It’s fun and I play it a lot when I need to do something mindless to escape adulting. My only complaint would be that do you have to do some of the in-app purchases to get ahead. It would be nice if the coins you earn from practicing and wins could be used to purchase additional packs and balls. The sales that they have though are usually really good prices and worth purchasing.

I rate this 4 stars because I really like the game. It’s fun it’s a challenge and it’s addicting. My one problem is that the play with friends option doesn’t work. While I love playing against strangers for virtual currency I also like competing with friends that play this game with me

If the game only sold cosmetics, Golden Boot 2019 would be one of my all-time favorites. Cosmetic uniforms, wigs, hats, victory dances and runs, etc. The actual mechanics are good, at least as good as Pik Poi’s excellent Flick Kick Football. GB’s multiplayer would give it a full five stars, but the point system is flawed. The point-making balls are a horrible design choice. I also question the value of player bonus points. Is the game about skill or not? In one Mach against a “Student” ball, I lost even though the other player made one out of 18 goals. In another, I outscored my opponent by 75% in places shots and still lost on player points. That’s not a fun or fulfilling game play experience.

I found myself really enjoying this game until I got into the 4th arena. Now all I am faced with are players that pick the student ball and intentionally slam the goal post for easy wins. I understand the need to close the gap for newer players but it seems kind of stupid to allow users with 200+ trophies to still use the “I’m new at this” ball. Consider hating off this ball after the first or second arena, or add a mode with no bonuses at all and let the players rely on skill (and choose how they want to play the game). It’s frustrating to expect that almost anyone I will face in Arena 4 will be using the student ball specifically. Seems extremely broken.

I really liked this game but I’ve noticed recently that it’s gotten glitchy. I am sometimes unable to choose custom balls, and sometimes the game takes two from my supply if I touch the screen to ensure my selection takes. I’ve also seen the duel just end when there were several seconds left. I also agree with the scoring issues others have referenced. Winning is based on who has invested time and money to upgrade players and balls, not really who can play best and score the more difficult goals. Really wish I hadn’t spent some real money on this game. I feel robbed.

I enjoy it but it’s the same thing over and over. Kick the ball, challenge someone, wait 2-4hrs for your bronze/silver pack to unlock, repeat. Only time I’ve seen other color packs was when my 4 limit was full and I magically won one after a match and either it’s spend money to get gems to open now or loose the pack forever (big surprise). I’m sure that’s what they want and that’s why they are like this but it’s not my cup of tea to spend money on crap mobile games. There are other suckers who will do that for me.

I never give reviews, but I had to make it on this one. I love the game, but as everyone else says, the balls are just too overpowered. The ability to lose due to a ball, even though you have won in goals and points is just ridiculous. I feel like this is mostly just a cash grab, with the developers not caring much about the player base. I can’t wait to see how stupid the higher arena’s are. Could this be a new Electronic Arts company?

The fact that you can go up against someone else, make every one of your shots in the corners and still lose because the other player has a much higher player-bonus is just bad design and balance. The players can be better in terms of control etc. but the hundreds of extra points per shot is way too advantageous.

I opened this game after a few months of not playing it, and it randomly asked me to connect to my local network and see every device that’s connected to my wifi. Why would a sports game ask that? I don’t know, but it immediately raised a red flag for me. If I wasn’t actually looking at my phone while playing and just pressed yes I would have given this app access to information that it does NOT need to function... it’s a GAME for crying out loud.. and not that great of a game at that lol. I would love for the developers to let me know how having access to my local network is required for this game to work or even to “improve” the experience, keep in mind that I’ve had this game for a long time (at least a year - I really don’t play it that often because it gets boring after ~10 minutes, but I admit it is a good time waster) and it’s NEVER asked for that access before. Come to think of it no game has ever asked for that information, and if you gave this game that access I would change that setting immediately. Stay safe y’all and don’t give out information that you don’t need to ✌🏻

Title says it all. The game itself is fun, except when the game glitches and literally takes all of my coins. I had 32,000 and was on a winning streak so I joined a 30,000 game. It started looking for people and the 30 second timer went all the way down. No big deal, I’ll just try again. I try again, and I’m instantly put HALFWAY THROUGH a game already down 2000 points. At this point I’ve lost and I’m pretty mad the game did this. I contacted support about my issue. It’s been over a month and I haven’t gotten a response. Im assuming since I haven’t spent any money I’m not a top priority and they’re just going to ignore me. Fix your support and fix you game.

Even if you score more goals than the person you are going up against or hit higher points it doesn’t matter why? Because of the player bonus. How do you get a higher player bonus you might ask? Certainly not for free. In order to be good or successful at this game you have to pay. People who want to play for fun and not spend money will certainly not win and will continue to get beat unless they pay. This game is basically if you’re richer you’re better.

There are no annoying ads, but it is impossible to progress that far without investing money. The purchased “add ons” of this game allows a user to score twice as many points in the same amount of goals. What this equates to is that a non paying player has next to no chance at winning when add ons are used. I hate to say this, but I think the game would be improved by adding advertisements and getting rid of the pay to play concept.
