Video Manual: How to Use the Shuffleboard Master App

How does it Work?

Shuffleboard Master is a game of skill. It's a realistic 3D simulation of the real table game.

You have full control over the puck - speed, direction, and point of release. That means it'll take some practice to play well. Hone your skill against the 7 levels of A.I. opponent as you advance from Beginner to Zen Master.

A.I. OPPONENTS

There are 7 levels of A.I. to beat. They get more accurate as you advance. They also get more aggressive, sometimes choosing to attack your pucks if it means taking the lead. You'll need a strategy to beat the Masters.

2-PLAYER WIFI GAME

You can play against a friend or nearby random stranger. Both of you need to have wifi turned on. (You don't need to be connected to a network - just have your wifi on.)

FUN STUFF

Motion Streaks • Fast moving pucks looks even faster.

Homing Pucks • Guide themselves toward your enemy.

Do-Overs • Re-throw your puck when you really need it.

Instant Replay • Re-live that game-winning shot again and again.

Pick Your Puck • Now, 5 designs to choose from!

Fast-Forward • For when that realistic friction is taking too long.

TIPS & TRICKS

From someone who's played more than 1,000 games...

• Lay your phone or iPad on a flat surface instead of holding in your hand

• Don't move it around while you play, especially don't twist it

• Fling your puck with a finger (not your thumb)

• Get your forearm and wrist in the game (not just your finger)

• Touch your puck, then drag it around a little before you fling it

• Don't just put your finger down and fling it immediately

I had a lot of fun making this game and play-testing it. I hope you like it too. Let me know at http://funnerware.com/feedback .

    Allen’s review

Yes this is a hard fun game can be a mutter pucker and very difficult to keep the puck on the table. Exciting to see if your puck can actually knock your opponent’s puck off the table or and see if your puck can stay on a number w/o going back to zero. If you can’t , just scream pucket or puck you what ever floats your puck. I am having fun with it.

    Very realistic feel

More realistic feel than most games of this type such as pinball and pool. Realistic difficulty level as well. You can win with a well played game, but you pay for mistakes! (And that's a good thing!)

    A lot of playability

Very challenging to beat even CPU available levels let alone on the master levels that cost $1.99. The big plus is WiFi for two player games. I wish they had more puck colors instead of red and blue.

Better on an iPad than a phone

Have this on both, quickly achieved the master level on the iPad, the phone is less forgiving

    Very challenging!

Not too tough to reach the top level but after you’re there if you can win two out of five you’re doing good.

    So realistic!!

I love how real this game seems! I’ve tried other shuffle board games and they are glitchy and never get the speed just right. This one is awesome!!!

    Format is different

The way the scoring is made is different as to what I grew up playing. Each game was played to 21 and scouts was owls made by whoever was furthest to the end of the board. Scoring was 3,2,1, and if someone had weight or the puck hang over the edge it was worth 4 points. I you can come up with a format to include that I will give you 5 stars. Still all in all pretty good realistic game. One more thing, if you can add sprinkling wax on the board and after doing so make the weight go faster then offer time slow down you might then have a sellable product. Thanks!

    Best feature-playing with another person

I like the realistic features. Playing the computer gets a bit boring though, as you will lose most of the time. I don’t want to pay to see the more advanced levels either. People with iPhones can play against one another, which I like best. Other people will make the same mistakes as you would, which makes it more fun.

Almost feels like the real thing!

Great game. Only con is that it’s pretty difficult to beat the computer. But I don’t mind the challenge. I’d rather have a difficult computer opponent than easy victories.

    Shuffleboard

Scoring is not regulation. Pucks are a little slow. Should be able to try $ pucks before buying or you don’t know what they do. Played in leagues for years and it’s pretty realistic considering limitations.

    Simple addictive game play

Love the simplicity and the clean design. Not weighed down by stupid ads. I understand the need for ads and if your game even has ads I haven’t even noticed them. Great job developers!!

    Disappointing

Although this game has the look and feel of shuffleboard, there are a few things that in my opinion need to be addressed. First, if after the first level you’re playing against the AI , no matter what you do, 9 times out of 10 it will always out shoot you. Secondly, I understand and agree that as you progress the play should be more challenging but if you’re playing casually you should have the option to choose your level of difficulty. Even if you’ve gone to the next level you should have the option of revisiting a lower level. If these issues could be addressed this could be an excellent game.

    No Prayer

It’s fun until you realize you don’t have a prayer playing against the computer. Might win one of ten if you’re lucky. CPU almost never slides a puck off the table whereas your shots are almost always just a wee bit too heavy. Nice game interface but unless you love losing on a consistent basis you won’t want to keep playing this very long.

    Shuffleboard Master

This is a very disappointing game. I noticed that when their puck was up it slid very smoothly. When it was my turn, no matter how much push on my piece, it would get sluggish just as it was getting near the game logo on the board. After a lot of trying to enjoy this app I gave in. What good is it if my pucks drags in the center of the playing fields but theirs does not? I won a championship of this game when I was young, I so wanted to love this app Thanks Cs
