Keep this going!
I don’t normally write reviews but this game right here deserves every bit of it! I’ve played many of games in my time and come across plenty of knockoffs but this game is a breath of fresh air! I just started playing this game today and can already tell I’m gonna be on this for a while! I absolutely love the idea of this game having the option to pay for upgrades but you don’t HAVE to pay to win! Games like this that is unique and allows you to enjoy the game with out tugging at your pockets makes me more inclined to spend money, not to win, but to support the developers to keep this game running with new features to come. Keep up the good work cuz you guys have a great game on your hands 👌🏽🙌🏽👍🏾
Great game, found two glitches.
This is an amazing game, but for the devs, there are two glitches I have found. Firstly, Shadow kicking right before boarding a train will slide through the wall and leave you standing on the tracks before the cutscene. The second is actually annoying, and it is when the karate bot uses his ability. The screen stays flashed until his next use, and it is about 1 in 3. If you then switch heroes, the glitch will remain and you will have to restart the app. This does not inhibit play, just makes everything extremely bright. Overall, great game, strongly recommended, and devs please fix this.
Played 200+ games this is top 15 game for me
It’s a simple game but still very fun and stimulating with its concept. Despite what others have said about a level 40 Wall, I grinded for 3 hours and was able to go up to level 42. I did not pay for anything yet but I might to support developers, to those people who complain about free games and it’s IAP, would you work for free? These developers need to pay their bills somehow seriously. If you’re looking for a game for some 15 mins of fun this should definitely be one of your game
Awesome
Very awesome game, progression is actually very fast paced and there’s a lot of fun to it. Simple yet intriguing all at the same time. Frenzy mode could be a bit more of a challenge. But nonetheless great game. Most games like this make it geared towards having to use money to get ahead. Not this one, long as you grind and take part in the ads every now and again. You level up just fine without spending money. Unless you just choose too. I don’t see it as a waste. Not needed but every game player has a preference.
Really impressed! I play for hours
It’s really easy to get caught up in the endless waves of zombies in this game, and I’ve found myself playing for hours at a time already. I love that it’s a fully fleshed-out playing experience without you having to pay for anything. It’s also extremely simple to use with the rap fighting, and I love the fast-paced nature of this one. Can’t wait to see how it develops as a game and becomes even better!
A Fun Game With A Few Annoying Glitches
What seems to be a simple idle action RPG has some pleasant complexities; activating the mastery changes the nature of the game every time, with the jade coins gained to purchase the permanent upgrades, and it takes the levels on your gear and randomizes them, making the Zak you have to work with considerably different. The gear gained can also be between awesome and trash, changing how many waves your current Zak is able to pass, and how easily. You can go through the same waves dozens of times and it can be significantly different, which makes the game fun to play, over and over again. One of the most annoying glitches is that defeating the zombies will sometimes net no Z coins, for a period of time. It’s as if the game forgets to give them to you for 10+ seconds, every 2 minutes or so. I’ve even had this happen during a Frenzy. Also, the attack animation auto selection can be slow to transition between enemies, setting up a situation where Zak is doing jump kicks against a zombie rat that’s successfully nipping at your feet. And the ‘idle’ aspect is really as bad as people have said; you can make better gains in minutes than you can in hours, plus the rewards are significantly lower. Other than these, you can progress far without spending a dime (my top wave is 114). The game is deceptively complex and fun and is worth a try. UPDATE: The hurricane kick is worthless.
Fun, addictive game. Needs work though.
I have a lot of fun playing this game, and it kills time. The concept is great, the graphics and design are awesome for the nostalgic, 8-bit console game loving fan that I am. My issues are only with a couple gameplay items that I’ve come across. A few of the combo attacks that you acquire as you level up, such as the triple kick have you attacking in the air and hitting nothing, while enemies are getting hits in from below. In the subway station intermissions you don’t get credit for enemies that you kill once the final train enters the station and time runs out, even if you’re still fighting. When fighting bosses and mini bosses they can do damage to you even when you’re a significant distance from them. And I personally think that you shouldn’t take damage when executing an ability attack. I know it sounds like a lot, but I’m not going to stop playing due to these things. I would like to see them implemented if at all possible. Thanks for the great work you’ve put into this game for now.
This game is the best ive played
Ive just discovered this game on the front of this app store and it is the absolute best game I've ever played, its fun and fast paced plus there isn't that many in app purchases I don’t need to worry about because the game supplies me with as much as i need when I complete something, making it that much more fun to do it. It does have its flaws at times mainly in my opinion I don't like when your able to use the master ability you lose all of your armor and several levels meaning if you have high level armor your most likely going to lose it by the next stage which could be a good trade but if you have armor that you don't want to trade for that for it being either high leveled or just looks cool to you your going to die and have to give it up and start over to level up new armor which may not have as good of perks as the last set. But overall this game is very very good ;)
Fun idle game, needs more skill input
Departs from the pure idle mold by adding skill checks in the form of boss battles which is really nice, but there is only two ways to pass these benchmarks. 1. Grind and prestige/reset until you are powerful enough to spam attacks and out damage the boss, or... 2. Follow a linear pattern of dodge, attack, dodge, attack. With enough skill an active player can beat bosses way above their level, however in practice it is really just the same thing over and over and it is semi random at which frame the boss will attack which defeats the purpose of a skill check. The redeeming quality is that the art and sound design are great and the polish feels nice, so it’s better than other idle games but the things it tries to do to set itself apart still need work.
No End???
I was looking for a scrolling game like the classic ninja turtles arcade game, or Scott Pilgrim, and this fulfilled my desire. It’s a fun game but it bothered me when after getting pretty far in the game I realized that there is actually no ending. Why would you design a game like this with no end. I mean, I understand the financial aspect of it, but for people that decided to spend time playing your game it’s frustrating. Good game, some glitches, but the glitches don’t really take away from the game too much. But the glitches and lack of ending are the reasons this game gets 4 stars instead of 5.
I delete it
So my story was when I first got this games a couple days ago well it was years ago that this happen so a I first got it and then played I played it months and months and months untill my hand clicked delete when I was moving it I almost cried but days and years today has come I told myself what if I check action and it’s there beacuse it was action then I clicked on action here comes the juicy part I finnaly found it and my smile is bigger than momo now that’s my story XD I’m gonna say it’s a pretty good game
Great game a few issues
Look this game is honestly one of the best games i’ve played in a while But i have a few issues I don’t know if it’s my Ipad (Ipad mini 2 if you want more info)but for some strange reason it crashes really often and it only happens with this specific app it’s pretty annoying since i’m not always connected to internet and that’s the only way that i manage to “fix” it But other than that it’s a really good game don’t let that lil glitch stop you from getting it :pp
A lot left to be desired.
Though it's a fun time killer you eventually hit a wall. It hits a huge difficulty spike at around wave 40 and unless you're willing to spend hours grinding or use actual money to spend on upgrades. You're not going to beat this. There also seems to be a problem with the character's attack not reaching certain enemies. He will stay in place and attack the air while enemies get some free hits in. Probably more homing dashing attacks would help. It also feels like the Int attacks don't do much damage in later waves no matter how much you upgrade them. Game is definitely designed to make money off of it's difficulty so be careful with that. Otherwise, it's fun for a couple of minutes.
First Review
I never contribute my opinion; however, rely on and enjoy other’s comments. I loved this game. Not complicated, but a great retro style theme. After the 2018 Halloween update something happened that I have never seen in an iOS game. It crashed. I could see my player and my sidekick (and a large pixel in the middle of my head; talk about retro). Closed app, no luck. Rebooted phone, same result. Uninstalled and reinstalled app, success. Except all progress was lost. No luck with my Game Center ID. No luck using the games cloud feature. Money, progress, and time lost. Tried contacting the developers, no luck there either. Download and play, but don’t spend any $ unless a later update specifically addresses this bug. Thanks.
