Plants upgrade and more to achive
This is the only game I like on my tablet, tried multiple games but this is only one I like which really says something about this game beeing above other games. I'm a gamer and have played tons of games since 1990. I really like that we learn more about real creatures in the sea. However now I played a lot and my aqurium is at max size, I have every plant and max upgraded them I have more shells then I ever think I need because I don't use volcano because I don't want to win more plants I don't have space for either way, so I wish there was an update, even bigger aquarium, even more species of creatures, or even able to do a forth or even fifth upgrade of plants possible. Or beeing able to sell plants at third upgrade for moonstones. Also I think there could be more thropies in the game, more ways to achive rewards. Otherwise I love the game the colors and the creatures.
Amazing graphics and design
I was looking through games in the App Store, but I couldn’t find one that was right for me. Until I found Super Starfish (Call it Shooting Starfish because it makes more sense). This game has AMAZING graphics combined with loads of creativity. Just some ideas for the developers: There should be certain event fish that have certain aspects to them, such as being smaller, faster, or better turning. Another idea I have is to customize your fish (Give them different colors, or costumes, etc.) as well as leveling them up to unlock abilities or something. One thing that DOES bother me is the price to clear rocks. Clearing rocks means you are able to place plants that look cooler. However clearing a rock starts from 5 moonstones, to 10, to 15, and so on. I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about this, so I’d recommend either raising the price at a slower rate, or setting the price to a certain amount (10 or 15).Anyways, this is a great game, and I’d recommend downloading it. Update: So I’ve been playing some more and I’ve realized that there should be a use for collecting stars. All they give you is points. That doesn’t really motivate players to actually collect them. Maybe give extra shells once you’ve gotten a high enough point score? Anyways, hope you add something like this in the future updates. Great game! 🤩
A few feature requests
I have to say that as soon as I laid eyes on this game back when it was a preorder, I knew I wanted it. And now that I have it, I'm not sorry. And I know this game is very, very new, so new features are being worked on even as I type this (maybe even ones I'm thinking of), but there are just a couple of ideas I immediately noticed would make the game a little better. A few reviews have said that adding some sort of mission or quest system would be ideal, and/or also earning some amount of shells for your score in stars after every run. I also think we should be able to sell starplants for a few shells, as I have found myself running out of room for them, and also getting a lot of just one kind and wanting to have a bit more diversity in my sanctuary. I also think we should be able to name our starfish. I know the game automatically gives them names, but I'm sure at least some people would want to give them their own names. Okay, I think that's all. The only other request I can think of at the moment is starfish sets based on seahorses, eels, sharks, and dolphins/porpoises (I still have one more set to unlock, so for all I know, one of those is already in the game). I think whales might be a bit much, but if you can find some way to turn a whale into a tiny starfish, then by all means!
Beautiful
Listen up! So beautiful and addictive. I love to play this game before bed to relax and I look forward to it. It’s not a game with a ton of unavoidable/ obnoxious in app purchases and ads in your face constantly, the ads you can watch if you choose to gain more shells and the amount of shells it gives you for watching an ad is actually a lot. The in app purchases are reasonable but you don’t NEED them to play the game and move along successfully. I really enjoy this game. I look forward to any updates y’all may have in the future and I appreciate you guys not making this a massive cash grab ad machine. Just an amazing, fun, addictive, creative, beautiful, well thought out game. You can tell you really put time and thought into this game. It’s incredibly creative and the art style of the game is gorgeous, the graphics mixed with the colors, the satisfying controls, the little extra things that happen when you tap the screen, the way your little character moves and the colorful trail he leaves behind is perfect eye candy. Super satisfying and relaxing to the mind and eye. I also love the way you can decorate the environment and the decorations do fun little things when tapped. the cool facts about the animals is nice and a good way to get people interested. I give this game 100 out of 5 stars!
Love love love this GAME!!!!!!!!
But, I have suggestions, of course, I play a lot and I love the challenges to get moon stones!!! But I was looking at my collection and I was bummed about not getting rewards for getting sets! I like games that make it a challenge to collect stuff, and I was playing yesterday and was wondering if we can get a “star something” so I can collect stars (blue) wile I’m playing and getting shells other than jest watching videos are kinda dumb (not to be rude) but it’s jest aggravating getting one at a time! It might sound crazy but it’s so slow!!!! Also I think you could make the fish “evolving” so you can make them look cooler. Also able to custom them and make your own, I had a game called “pocket frogs” great game. And I loved how you can jest go in the pond (let’s you hop around I am a slave for as long as you’d like and you were able to collect prizes. And didn’t know if you could think of making a unlimited mode or something.... also adding hats and tail armor, and collectibles like “wares my water” (a game that you have to get water to a alligator,to let it take a shower) and you were able to find stuff on jest the map, like special stones!!! Like totems would be sweet! Thanks for reading this, if I have any more ideas I’ll post them here! -TreeFox246
Gorgeous game
I have been playing this game for years, and I love it to death. It’s the one game I keep coming back to. The critters are cute, the liquid effects when swimming is gorgeous, the music is calming and beautiful (reminds me of 80s fantasy) and I appreciate the optional ads! I watch them often as it helps you collect shells to use the prizecano to get more fish, or to evolve plants into new designs. There’s always something to do. There are daily quests, and you can collect the latest fish each day in various ways. It’s not always easy to do but it’s fun. There ARE some gem purchases but they aren’t game crushing. I don’t feel cheated in any way. I enjoy spending funds here and there for some gems to collect a rare fish or to help remove rocks to plant bigger things and to grow green areas. Plus, it supports the creators. The best part... even if you’ve completed your quests for the day, you can endlessly swim with your favorite fish to discover new planets or to pop more ads for more shells. You can swim just for the heck of it, too. There are no energy limits. Thank you so much for keeping this game going strong, and for adding new content and events throughout the year. I love every minute of it.
Most relaxing game!
I love space and pretty things and soothing water sounds. This game really cuts through my anxiety, making it the most relaxing game I've ever played. The blue stars don't really matter and the gameplay is almost identical no matter which pretty fish you use (I've noticed the tiny ones grow in size once they launch). If you crash into a planet its no big deal AND its inevitably pretty. The rotation of the zones you go through is random so you're not even starting from the bottom and having to work back through to get where you were when you died. THANK GOODNESS. Otherwise It would get boring. Then again, from the beginning I've been wishing for a zen level where you can just play and play for no points and you never die. But really I love this game so much. Thank you so much for it! At first the plants were kind of cluttering everything and ugly but once the moss started growing I really like it. I do wish, however, that the sanctuary wasnt so zoomed in. Thats part of what makes it feel crowded. There's stuff at the top bottom and middle (those moons or whatever that you can't get rid of!). You cant see all your fish at once. Thats a little frustrating.
Wonderful and Challenging
I got this game back before I went to a different country for a few weeks. I loved this game as it can be played without WiFi and/or cellular data even without the use of ads for extra things. I find this cute collecting game challenging, in the way the levels are set up, and even in the way of getting starfish themselves. The missions were a great add on, and I’m so happy to finally see my moonstones getting to a larger amount day by day. The only complaint I have in this game, and even though it is new I will give it kudos; the amount of starplants you get is insane. There isn’t enough room for you to place all the ones you get, and despite the diversity they provide, it gets a little upsetting when you have a lot of starplants that you may not be able to use or may not want to use. Maybe it’s just an OCD thing, but I sometimes dislike having things sitting in my inventory without means to use them. I think a nice feature would be to enable you to sell these starplants, even for a low price just so the cleanliness of the inventory is a little more pleasing. Overall, I will give this game 5 stars because of its diversity in play and creativity!!
Amazing, but one thing
I just got this game a few days ago and I am OBSESSED! The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is easy to function, and the quests are fabulous. I love all of the different characters that you can collect, and many things to look forward to, such as opening your clam and your prize volcano resetting. By far this is my favorite game of all time, except there is just one thing. It freezes sometimes. Either after going (pressing go), or after a prize volcano, every so often it will freeze and some of the times it freezes it doesn’t save my progress and it frustrates me. Thankfully when it freezes after a prize volcano it still gives me the things I earned, but after completing a quest and getting shells, sometimes when I do that (not the prize volcano, like pressing go), it won’t save my progress. But otherwise I still love this game! I understand that this is a fairly new game and with such good quality and graphics I understand completely that there will be bugs, I just wanted to let you guys know so you can fix it! Sorry this review kind of turned into a message to the creators.
bless
I first saw this game when it was up for "preorder" and was intrigued! It looked fun and colorful, and gotta say, it exceeded my expectations. It's consistently improving, it seems like the devs listen and pay attention to what the players want, and in general, playing the game feels rewarding enough that I still play it consistently, while other games start to bore me easily. Even collecting the stars— which have no purpose aside from adding points— is oddly satisfying. There's plenty to unlock, plenty to customize with, and always an incentive. The ads are optional to watch (though you get nice rewards for doing so), and the "gem" currency can be earned at a perfectly reasonable rate without having to buy any with IRL money. (did i mention that this game is really pretty, bc it is) One suggestion at the moment though is adding some kind of button or sidebar (that doesn't get in the way, ideally,) that lets you view all of the current quests? Especially with the increasingly large roster of creatures (loving the eels, btw), it can be tiresome to scroll through the album or the sanctuary to find those last couple quests.
Great Game!
This is a very fun game and I play it all the time! However, there are a few adjustments or things I think should be added. I’ve been finding it hard to collect enough moonstones to clear out the rocks in my sanctuary. There should be more quests available or the rocks shouldn’t keep adding 5 moonstones to clear because I can’t keep up with those prices. Maybe 10 moonstones per rock would be better? I have so many plants that need to be planted but not enough space. Also, I think the prizecano could use some improvement. It costs 200 shells to use it and a prize isn’t guaranteed after the first go, so either the price should be lowered or you are guaranteed a prize each time. Or another idea is if you see something in the prizecano that catches your eye and you want to be sure you get it, you could use shells to buy it for a higher price, kinda like how the shop has starfish that sell for 500 shells. This way you know you can get it and you’re not wasting shells on something you’re not sure you’ll get. Another suggestion is selling plants. I have way too many of a certain type of plant and I think we should be able to sell them for shells, or if they are more rare, moonstones. Anyways those are the only improvements I can think of, other than that it’s an amazing game and I can’t wait to see what gets added to it!
Stunning, but needs some changes
This game is honestly beautiful, and I can't stop looking at the graphics. I love how intricate everything is and how there are so many zones to discover (seriously. I've been playing for a while now and I still discover new zones from time to time.) However, I think the biggest issue is that the shells are really hard to obtain from sources other than videos? One "play" (I don't know what to call it but just playing the game one time) that has a score of 700 or so usually only gets about four stars, and considering that it takes 200 stars to win something from the prizecano, that's not a lot. I think either there should be way more shells in one play, it should take less shells to win something, or there should be some kind of connection between your score and the amount of stars you get. Maybe breaking a high score is rewarded with shells or something? Another thing is that it's really hard to open new spots for large plants since the price increases by five gems after every purchase but the amount of gems you get after completing a quest stays the same. I think if you made these things a little easier, there would be more incentive to play the game. Otherwise, it's a gorgeous game and I love it.
Love it!
This game is so much fun and addicting! I love collecting the fish and I love how you can’t see what they look like until you unlock them. However I feel like it should be easier to gain shells because it takes forever to get 200 and the only way to get there is to watch the videos. Also, I believe the stars should have more of a purpose because I have no motivation to actually play the game, I just wait till the offer to watch a video shows up. You should make it so the stars are able to unlock and upgrade abilities (star magnet, x2, invincibility, etc.). I read some other reviews and they said to be able to customize your fish with clothes and colors and I disagree because it defeats the purpose of each individual fish. I also don’t like the idea to make some fish have special abilities, I like how they are all on the same level. In addition I think you should add a distance tracker, so you get points for distance not just stars. I think the rocks are a little too expensive after a while because the intake of moonstones stays the same. But honestly I love this game!! I love how the store works where you get special offers everyday. I think the occasional free item is a really great idea because it keeps people coming back for more.
Gorgeous and Fun, BUT...
The game is absolutely beautiful. There is no arguing with that! I just have two problems, one of which bothers me a bit more than the other. The first issue is with the shells and the points system. I feel like the point system should reward shells based on the points. For example, maybe every ten points in a round earns the player one shell. I say this only because the point system feels like it needs more, and there’s an issue with obtaining shells outside of watching ads or getting them from the shell guy. My second issue really, really, REALLY, bugs me, and I’m positive one of the developers of the game have noticed. Two particular raydars, Wayve and Mudd, appear to have their descriptions and ancestors matched. Wayve is obviously based off of the Manta Ray, due to its extra identifying features and large size, but its ancestor is the Ribbontail Ray. Mudd is clearly NOT a Manta Ray, due to the lack of cephalic lobes (the giant fins near their mouth) and small size, and it greatly resembles a Ribbontail Ray. It’s just a pet peeve, but details are especially important, and as someone who’s favorite creatures are rays, I would greatly appreciate it if this is fixed, please. Otherwise, thank y’all for making such a charming game! :D
Good, but a few issues.
1. Seven times now, after watching the ads, it froze up (after the ads finished, of course) and I didn't get my shells. Once was when in was going for the second pearl (one of the options was 200 shells, ugh!) and the other six were after a transmission (value = 150 shells). 2. When I'm in a multiplier mode, quite often no other stars will appear for me to try to catch - so the clock runs out, the bonus effect expires and is wasted. That's a little unfair... At least give me stars to chase and either catch or miss on my own, don't just make nothing available. Especially frustrating when I'm on a mission to collect 300 stars from combos in order to earn gems! 3. Does the camera come back another time so we can capture better photos? I've got one stretched out turtle, a squid that's just barely peeking out of the side of the frame, and a rare flowing thing with her eyes closed. 3. Several users have commented about the amount of gems needed to clear rocks keeps increasing. It's disheartening and removes incentive to keep trying to do it the hard way (earning gems by playing, and therefore watching ads), it's clearly pay-to-play, especially if you want to buy the rare fish/plants that cost 100 gems! I've paid a couple of times, but since the amounts just keep going up, I'm done paying.
