Don’t listen to the haters...
This game has YEARS of playability in it, trust me, I been at it for three. You’ll get as much as you put in to it and yes, it’s a grind, but other than a couple purchases over the years, I have been a proud F2P player and am very competitive. Be ready to farm, farm, farm and join an alliance when you are able to. Also, consider getting the lifetime pass early in the game if you decide you’re going to stick with it, as the 100 gems a day for life are worth way more than the one-time cost.
Close to Perfect
This is one of the most perfect iPad games I've had the pleasure of playing. Unlike many iOS games, this one feels complete. It has enough features to keep you busy for hours a day, great looking graphics, a store with some of the best prices I have ever seen, and a growth curve that feels realistic and doable. (Speaking of the store, this is first game I have ever played with a lifetime deal. The idea of a lifetime deal is mind blowing). Other games should learn from this game. Keep up the good work!
Trade please
I love this game awesome deals that makes you feel like you haven’t been taken advantage of like most games the graphics are amazing. However the one thing I would love is being able to trade as I have some lower characters I could get ride off and I want one hero and would trade multiple other heros for
Great game
This is one of the best games I’ve played of this genre in a long time. The only thing lacking is that their isn’t enough to do to keep you busy. You eventually end up with nothing to do. Wait for a few hours to fleet energy up again. Etc etc
Great game A+ customer service
Game is great! Usually don't leave reviews but customer service is great and the game plays well without having to pay a dime unless you want to. Level 40 and the just added more features seems to be moving in a good direction!
DRAGON FORCE REVAMPED!!!
I LOVE THIS GAME!!! It kind of like a newer version of the old awesome Sega Saturn title Dragon Force, where you have to strategize army tactics to beat your foes, but mixed with the newer JRPG style of 5 on 5. It’s really fun! I love it so far. I’m a f2p player, so let’s see if it starts to stall off if you don’t pay. I hope not.
Developers keep ruining game but
It is still addictive and you can meet some great people on it. Every time they add new content they mess with old content to make the game harder to play without spending money. For example you need to find good runes to add to your heroes. Used to be fairly easy to find now nearly impossible without spending money. They keep adding newer and harder to beat heroes but compared to when I started 14 months ago have made it crazy hard to get a new hero developed the way you want them to be without money money money. This causes the player base of experienced players to keep dwindling while new soon realize they can never get as good as old without spending money and tons of time so they quit too. I still give it four stars because of friends I’ve made in the game and because no matter how often they ruin part of the game I can’t seem to stop playing lol.
Nicely done, gets boring after awhile
I played for two months as a f2p, then lost interest. It offers lots of challenge areas - story, trial of champions, arena/pvp, and siege - so there are lots of ways to stay engaged. I finally just got bored with daily tasks and collecting crappy runes. It was a good, hour a day timewaster for awhile. There wasnt a lot of help via chat, forums or alliance, so you will need to figure out strategy mostly on your own
Awesome
Lots of fun! Much to do and strategize. However, I gave it four stars because it crashes. If I'm on for about 10 minutes it will crash, almost every single time. If it does crash I never lose the battle I'm in, it will act like it never happened but save all other progress, so that's good! Keep updating please :)
Great play style with a few crashes
Game is a great time! It's tactical but not like Final Fantasy Tactics. You pick a row for your characters to fight on and they have skills you can play. Really liking the tune system too!! Cons - game crashes a few times, mostly when starting battles or transitioning to a area.
Solid game.
Very good game, the only thing I will really complain about is the expensive in-app purchases. I mean come on, if you’re gonna let us pay $30 for a few gems and 5 star runes, why not make them be good runes? If they don’t have all the stats to begin with, then they are pretty useless, to be honest. I should not be able to buy with money the suckiest 5* rune you can find. It would be cool if we could choose the stats on the runes from the Sunday pack, that would boost sales I’m sure.
Pretty mediocre gameplay
Spending isn’t worth it. I bought the $30 bundle which was supposed to be equal to $300. If that experience was a $300 one this game is going to be a LONG haul of high prices and realllly slow grinding. The strategy isn’t that deep. At the end of the day the level, runes and upgrades that they break heroes into parts with determine if you will win. Placement and skill usage only impacts it a little bit.
Current update is terrible
If you have never played this game, you will likely not see anything wrong with it, but know that this developer has a habit of implementing updates that significantly roll back or erase game progression so that they don’t actually have to develop new game content. If you play long enough, you will be in situation where the developers will sacrifice you in favor of the new- player experience, and their response to this practice will ultimately be to laugh at your concerns over lost time and money. There are similar games from far better development teams out there. Avoid this one. If you need more convincing, this is one of the most micro transaction happy games I have ever seen, and the current update caters to significant (thousands of dollars significant) purchasers rather than casual buyers or people who prefer F2P. The developers hide progression behind 4 separate currencies, and acquisition of these currencies is incredibly slow. Drop rates are abysmally out of proportion with acquisition costs. Expect to grind for 8-12 months for one hero, and keep in mind the developer’s habit of releasing updates to erase progress.
Good game but big problems
Main problem with this game is player base. 1. Number of active players for this game is simply too small to make it competitive 2. Top players don’t share any information, knowledge, know-hows to allow newer players to enjoy and progress Forum is pretty much dead, as is the chat. When you ask for advise, you might get lucky and get some useful info or you might hear players tell you to join a top guild and ask your guild or you likely will be ignored. Of course, if you’re new, they don’t want you cuz you’re too weak. I like the actual game but it gets pretty tedious when there’s so little knowledge being shared by those who have being playing for awhile. —————- Update Game has been going the wrong direction for some time now. New update made such a massive ‘balance’ change that huge number of veteran players quit. New event also turned out to be totally inconsistent and unbalanced. When players complained, response was basically denial and threat to ban players for complaining.
