A Must Have PvP Pocket Fighter
EDIT: Energy seems to be the key factor in the success of this game. It has enormous potential, but gameplay is limited due to energy. The people that love this game want to play more, but cannot. If the energy system is reorganized, I believe this game could flourish since there are no other successful side-scrolling brawlers. If you’re into fighting competitive (mostly) skill based fighting games, this is the game you NEED. As with all games, there are pros and cons. As for PvP, it is a definite pro, except for the lag that occurs every so often. The grind is a bit slower, as the energy the game gives you is not very generous. Perhaps this is one thing the devs should reconsider in order to build a strong community. Ironically, other than the energy for quests to obtain gear pieces and materials, you can PvP endlessly. While gear does play a role in PvP, I have defeated quite a few higher leveled better geared players due to playing strategically. TL;DR The game has slower leveling/progression due to slow regeneration of energy, yet you can PvP endlessly. While some matches may be laggy, the game is overall a skillful PvP game that is at the very least worth trying!
Amazing
One of the best best beat em ups you can find on the AppStore. The combat is fluid and fast. The graphics are god for mobile. The controls are smooth and easy to get used to. And the music is good too. I can’t find that much wrong with it. There are ways it can be improved though. Improvements: PvP mode: I haven’t played it that long, I don’t know if it’s in there or not. More characters: Add some more characters like a guy with nunchucks, or a guy with daggers. But the main type I would want is a guy with a katana. If you’ve ever played as Vergil from devil may cry, I would want it to be like that. In conclusion, This is a great game.
Awesome game!
awesome game! great 2d style brawler that mimics old school brawlers but in 3D! runs well on older phones too, buttery smooth on Iphone 6plus s, love the combos u can make, reminds me of tekken/str fighter, keep it up guys!
PvP Issues
Wall solar in this game is terrible, a player can punish you repeatedly and there is not way to defend until you get your R power
Good game
I love the game but level up is too slow and You lose energy too fast and I always strugle to find somebody at the arena
Combo system
Needs equipment a lot and more chars
Very fun - Energy cost a real killer though
This is a really good game, but the energy requirements are flat out ridiculous. Whoever thought it was a good idea to charge 20e for a campaign run on hard, and whatever the crazy amount is for the daily dungeon, ought to be fired. Considering a players energy bank at level 14 is 128 and that an 8 hour overnight doesn't even get you back to full charge? It's really a lost opportunity - the fighting style is enjoyable and skill based, the equipment leveling and characters are interesting. This game is going to fail rather quickly if energy isn't addressed.
Awesome game but...
First of all, this is an awesome game. I’ve been looking for a game like this for a long time and it has satisfied me. BUT, not a big fan of the joystick on the left side. It’s locked in place and it’s a little annoying to be honest. Also love the pvp feature but would like it if it will only allow players with decent connections to play because it is really annoying when it lags so much you can’t even touch the opponent. And matchmaking is broken... Other than that it’s a great game and I think it’s worth spending some time on it.
Got boring after 2 days
Pros: - can play all the characters - can get items through grinding - like how you have you to speed through dungeons to get higher stars - login reward Cons - can’t customize controls - when doing air combos it too short unlike the PC version they had - laggy arena mode - you are limited to play the same dungeons - you buy gears instead of finding them when you beat monsters - the heroic mode consumes way too much energy - No skill tree ( their PC version had a skill tree) - hard to tell when they enemy’s gonna attack - hard to dash - hard to doge attacks - very slow to lvl up Final thoughts: Game is just not the same as I played on FB. Their PC version was more organized and well thought and balanced . They should change some things but for now I’m not going to play it anymore
Not bad but...
Left (movement stick) position is fixed. I don’t understand why any developer would do this nowadays. On my phone, it’s too far away from the corner, making the game awkward and uncomfortable. Make it fluid, or give the option to move its positioning. And I’d do it sooner rather than later. This may discourage people from playing. It did me.
Solid potential killed by the Energy Bar
A lot of fantastic components in this game add up to fantastic potential. All characters present from the get go, we are presented instead with leveling up gear (Collect upgrade mats in stage play), unlocking new gear tiers (unlocked various ways by chance) and upgrading skills (strictly timer based). The gameplay is fast and frantic, the graphics and animations are glorious to observe. What kills all this potential though is the energy bar. And not the bar specifically. It’s the energy requirements. I have 120 energy when at full charge. But it costs 12 energy to run a normal stage. 16 energy for a limited dungeon. 20 energy for a heroic stage. And its 5 minutes recharge per point? Games in this hero collecting genre (future fight, dungeon hunter champions come to mind), I can usually go an hour or two before the energy bar is tapped due to smaller energy use per play and the energy bar not being required for every game play mode present, but in this game? ‘I ran normal 10x for the daily... but still need to do the limited dungeon daily and heroic daily but im out of energy and it’ll take 5 odd hours to recharge..’ Shame, really. A lot of potential here.
More App Store filler. Just ignore.
Important features of a mobile game (apparently): 1. Make them download a second time after already downloading from the App Store. 2. Drag them through a mind-numbing, hand-holding tutorial telling them every button to push. 3. Make sure that tutorial takes at least 20 minutes to get through, so the player quits halfway through and writes a terrible review. 4. Complete disregard the fact that it’s a mobile game, and don’t worry that the amount of time you’re wasting with downloads is exactly equal to the time the player had to play. That way once the download is done, it’s time to go do something else.
I was a huge fan of the FB game...
This game is sooo bad. Dodging is infinitely more difficult on mobile which is gamebreaking alone. You can tell the devs dont play this game.... The menus are more complicated than they need to be. After you claim any reward you have to then click another window for no reason. Note for the devs Dont: limit players gameplay with energy, include auto play, have a gear based arena, have auto play Honestly not gonna bother finishing this review just like the devs never finished this game; they earned their 0/5
Awesome game, with a dead end.
I loved playing this game. I got all the way through the first 4 campaign zones, but campaign 4-9, the watchtower, is impossible to beat. I have leveled up all of my gear and skills trying to beat this level, all for nothing. Too bad, because I would have liked to continue playing this game.
