    Overall, an excellent app!

I checked out a number of other pool game apps and this seemed like the best by far. I enjoy the multiple different variations of pool and billiards and just tried the recently added snooker, which I found to be a good addition. I really like the graphics and gameplay. The response and physics behind it are good. I feel the application of english to the ball is realistic, although there are times where I felt the force of the hit and the english applied would not be possible in real play. I don’t generally use the top view, as I like to have a vantage that is familiar to me from real pool play. I think that when a higher perspective is being viewed, the front edge of the table could be brought closer to the players position. It seems like half the screen is wasted and you don’t get a full view of the table. I would also like to be able to change the orientation to take advantage of the full length of the tablet when viewing from the end of the table. It would be nice to be able to choose your view rather than be locked into one orientation. The ball placement is a little too fast and makes me dizzy, but overall a really good game!

The Absolute Closest I’ve Gotten To REAL Physical Snooker!

I waited until having played this game numerous times, so as to have a better grasp of the overall game intentions/strategy. The game developers deserve a HUGE congratulations for developing a game that comes as close to actual, physical play of a game I fell in love with while assigned to England serving our great country in the United States Air Force. The “atmosphere” of the Snooker Club is very good. The one thing here that drives me crazy is the cheesy music 🎶! I know, just mute it, but music is a part of the game that helps my game. I just haven’t found the “magic fairy” button in order to integrate BETTER music into my game. The “touch” of this game is THE BEST I’ve ever encountered. The angles play very accurate, spin reacts correctly, & the “shooting touch” is so good, it’s eerie, (but in a GOOD way!) I could write a review that would be pages long, but, for now, suffice it to say that, THIS GAME IS THE BEST GAME I’VE EVER HAD THE ENJOYMENT TO PLAY!!! I would gladly give this game the highest rating/stars if there was a way to do that, as “5” stars do not give this game & especially the developers the props they so very much deserve!!!

    Pandemic shut-in fun 😃

My current favorite time-passer. I wish I were this good at pool IRL. LOL My only complaint is that it’s hard to get the break to vary. I try aiming the cue ball a little to the side which helps change it up some. And it did do this one weird thing: I was aiming at the corner pocket, and the ball didn’t go in, it jumped up onto the side of the table. 😳 This was in practice mode. After I finished I went back and just shot the cue ball directly at that spot, full force, to see what would happen, and the ball (I think it was No. 3) flew up and out of the virtual “room!” Hasn’t happened again, but like I said, weird. Otherwise it’s a very cool, fun game. And like someone else said, not overloaded with ads.

    Things have changed

The settings of easy or hard have changed. I’ve noticed that even on the easy setting, if you’re playing 8-ball, if you miss a shot - the cpu will clear the table taking slop and rediculous shots. The cpu has always taken slop, but the defensive play is expert... always leaving you no shot... bummer! You expect that on the more difficult settings. Sometimes you just want a simple game without playing a computer that if it is allowed to simply not miss. Even on the easy setting... when I used to play “in the real world”, if you sank the 8 ball on the break - you won. Maybe that’s not in the “by the book” rules, but that’s been my experience...

    The best game ever

Is the best game ever because you get to do so many fun things you can play two players like you have like a mom and dad something and they’re like playing they can like like you can give them like a chance to play tube because you have you can press like some button that will let you play by her self and not like well whatever or whatever whoever plays with you will please on my account but you can do so many things you can play against you or you can play one against someone else which is like whatever your thing is would be this is why I call this game is a five star

    Amazing this game is free

I saw in the add for this game that you can change the color of the felt and the pattern. I was surprised to find that it’s all included. WOW Thank You. The adds never become rude or intrusive and they’re far and few between. One bug I found though is if you’re making a shot where you hit the Q ball on a trajectory that almost skims another ball, the engine makes it knock that ball and the Q ball as if you actually messed up your shot and hit it. I’m Okay with that but then the targeted ball that I was originally aiming for gets hit by an invisible ball and I make the shot anyway. Otherwise this is my family’s “go-to” pool game. Highly recommend.

    Great app!

This is a simple yet dynamic app with plenty to offer the billiards fan and pro! The CPU is a wizard to watch, and gives you a real challenge! It’s not always all that smart, so it’s a bit lacking. Whenever it gets an impossible shot, and occasionally even a not so difficult shot, it can be surprisingly inept and clumsy, which is not realistic or consistent. Still, most of the time I’m shaking in my spurs to sink every ball I get and keep my streak running to the end or else the game is easily handed over. I should also say that this critique is based on playing exclusively on “Hard,” the highest difficulty level. Otherwise, there are several fun games to play within the app to keep things interesting, rules are thorough and insightful, and the look, feel, action and options within the app are all very satisfactory. Actually I have just one other Main critique and that’s that the perspective camera view in gameplay can be unwieldy and not easily adjusted once you’ve moved it too much. Not sure what to do about this, but I mostly use a top-down view to play.

    Good Game

This is a good game with lots of variety. I like the options for pool queues, table designs and avatar selection. It’s nice to have choices. The controls are simple and easy to use. I do agree with some of the reviews that playing against the CPU isn’t very realistic. Not sure how that’s set up exactly, but just a suggestion, maybe use a probability calculation to determine the likelihood of the CPU actually succeeding in making the shot? Two other suggestions that I think would make this game five stars: 1. Modify the pass and play option to allow your friends to be invited to a game. I use this option to play against myself more often than not rather than the CPU or handing a friend my phone so they can play their turn. Being able to invite someone to play without worrying about something happening to my phone would be nice. 2. Fixing practice mode for the different games so that the rules are still in place for the specific game type being practiced. Right now no matter what game is practiced you are able to just knock balls around randomly with no regard for the rules. I would like to be able to practice the actual game to learn the rules. All in all this is a wonderful game though and I like it much better than other pool games I’ve played. Great job creators!

The avitars block the corners of the table on certain shots and the computer does’nt use enough English in proper situations to give me a better challenge, otherwise,it’s the best pool game online ever although we will be paying to play this game should apple choose you to add to there game bundle library in the near future through subscription just like iTunes and appleTV... also please add the game of straight pool and the ability for game sound effects of the volume to not crash when I listen to my iTunes. I like the illusion of a jukebox as if I’m in a bar, not being relegated to department store or waiting room music your game provides...also add applause response effects after certain great shots and lastly, give us players maybe three or four options of table surface color...THANKS!!

Great for playing, not so great for practicing

I don’t have an actual pool table. This app is great as the physics seem to be dead on. The fact that you can do anything with spin, English, and aiming is really nice. I also love the three types of guides. My aiming has improved when I play for real. That being said... I would’ve purchased it if it just had an undo button so that I could at least try that shot again and figure out what I did wrong. Now if it had a mode where I could actually place balls down so that I could practice the same shot over and over again, or combinations of shots, I would’ve traded this five stars and purchased it. Don’t get me wrong, this is a terrific, wonderful looking, accurate game, but it just could be an even better app.

    Almost perfect

I really like Real Pool 3D app - it has the most realistic user interface experience of all of the other competing pool game apps. I would give it 5 stars, but it’s missing two features that a player can do when shooting pool on a physical world pool table, as follows: 1. When I make a shot I can’t see the whole table to observe the action outside of the shot frame. I’d like the app to “pull back” to allow the shooter to see all of the action - a full-table view - just like a physical world player would have once a shot is executed. 2. Would like the ability set up practice shots with a player-selected number of object balls and table positioning (i.e., not requiring a full rack) that a player can be reset and repeat multiple times so a player can refine specific types of shots. Examples are shots like: side pocket bank shot; two-ball combo; split shot, english spin positioning, etc. When I was first learning to play pool (on a real regulation size table), I would often practice for hours setting up and shooting specific single shots over and over again until I achieved a level of proficiency. Please consider adding these two capabilities in a future releasae.

Some great bits and not so great

I downloaded this app because I was looking to get my hands on some more pool but it is hard to access a physical pool table. It is great for just playing around, but not necessarily ideal but getting better at pool. I was a little disappointed that was no online mode to play against actual players. The CPU mode isn’t realistic at all because the computer can easily do any shots it wants and then purposely miss before it makes too many in a row. On the ‘easy’ CPU mode it will almost always make two shots in a row and then purposely miss the third one. A real player would more often make easy shots but less often make hard ones. The CPU makes easy shots and hard shots alike until it decides to give up. The way I prefer to play the game is in the offline 2-player mode where I will play against myself from both sides. That is where I have improved at the game the most. Some positives about the game include the fact that there are plenty of modes to choose from, including 8-ball, 9-ball, snooker, time trial, practice, and many others. There are many ways to play the game, even if by yourself. The art style is also very good and the atmosphere of the game has a very relaxing and friendly vibe, which is exactly what you want for this type of game. Despite it’s flaws, the game can be a fun way to improve at pool as ling as you are challenging yourself. Overall it is easily worth the $2 charge to go ad-free.

GoodGame but now has a lot of faults

Had this game several months and play a lot to snooker against cpu. Recent version has problems/errors. You pot a ball and it ignores and turns the game over To the cpu. Very annoying error that only occurs occasionally but never occurred before this version. Also cpu appears to not comply with all rules and makes bad shot choices that a real opponent wouldn’t. Game graphics though are good. Software errors abound. Missed potting yellow, left it buried in the jaws at the bottom right, cue ball ended in the top right jaws. No direct line to the yellow as next ball, so the cpu aims toward yellow , full length of the table, smacks into the jaw cushion, ricocheted across the table 90 degrees to opposite pocket rebounds back the yellow drops into the pocket. That’s a foul; cue ball has not come within the table length of the yellow. It’s a miss. Cpu clears the table to win. Wow. Seems like cue ball roll out has become very variable, suddenly lots of cue balls running out into pockets and object balls pulling up short.

    Same Thing

I thought I had finally found a good pool game. Playing another for years was making my blood boil--cheating from scratches to computer playing the speed, I gave up. This started out by giving me the option if playing easy to being challenged to a game that was supposed to be a little harder. It lures you in to make havoc by "placing" opponent in seriously hard situations. I would enjoy having a simple game of pool that delivers a risk to the computer as well as me. Plain and simple expectations are not discouragement--they encourage you to play the game to enjoy and get better. When an opponents ball screams to the pocket and stops as if there's a wall, just to block the pocket, the game of pool becomes a defeatist instead of enjoyment. I should have known--anything free is not enjoyable for very long. Making the computer miss long shots would make it much better and realistic.
