Absolutely love this game! I find myself always on this game whenever I get the chance to play. I’ll literally wake up 5am to let my dog outside and play this game to kill time which usually ends up becoming a longer task. I think this is the best strategy games in the App Store. The gameplay is nice and I’m always looking forward to new things being added. However I think if they added a building in the castle where you can play a bunch of mini games would make a nice edition. This option would be a great way to kill time when your waiting on all your resources/troops etc to build up. Another thing I think you guys should consider adding is a prison in your castle. This option should be added so that every siege victory you go and do you can also take their troops prisoner and have them become yours instead of just killing off half your troops. The last thing that would make this game better is that if you guys added a guardian dragon in your castle. For this option there should also be Dragon Training in the institute so you can upgrade your dragon and whatnot. The concept of the dragon is basically to help with defense and attack whenever your in a raid. I design apps and I’m really hoping you guys consider my ideas thank you all for making such a wonderful game!

It’s got a massive amount of players that are active. I’ve progressed quite far, in game purchases are completely optional to play. The way the game is though, you want to spend a couple bucks (nothing major) but again, completely unnecessary to progress. There’s a built in translator so it makes it possible to communicate literally with people from all areas of the world which is AWESOME. ***Suggestion box*** I know they do read these, in the event that you read mine. I’d suggest one or two more events. How about something where for a couple of days specific monsters or rebel camps pop up throughout the map. I mean all over the map, not rare. They can be killed a certain amount of times before they level up (lv1 camp\monster zeroed teleports and changes to Lv 2 and so on) and they should drop decent rewards, of course some more rare than others. Each time they level up they increase in difficulty significantly. Again, JUST an idea. More events then the norm, it’s fun and engaging.

Been playing for six months now. Love it. But that's actually not why I'm here. To the developers, in the event you read these, the tavern was a dumb idea. It doesn't change anything about the game (everyone I've talked to in-game agrees). It's just a space occupier. And one that occupies space that didn't even need to be filled. But, you could change it. Leave the stuff that's there or get rid of it, idc, but you should add a function that allows you to hire mercenaries. Now these mercenaries, of course, aren't permanent, and (to maintain balance) would be expensive and in limited numbers. But they would be there for rich players who need just a few more troops to augment one attack or two. Maybe they don't have as many troops as they do dispatches, or maybe they just unlocked a new tier of troops and want to try them out without having to wait a few hours to train. But that would be a cool new add on that would make players actually excited about the tavern.

This is an awesome strategy game with great graphics and good people who play. I love the set up and the numerous ways to get free bonus rss and such by the different events. However, the cost of some of the resources are outrageous when you get to the Top lvls. And if you didn’t care about that because you just go buy a pack the amount of rss they give you in a pack aren’t near the amount you need to grow at a high lvl. This is especially true for lvl Legendary 1 through 5. I have spent a lot of money on here and there are no extra perks for the thousands spent. I’m sure you all love a person like me. At least in MS they took care of people who took care of them. Like I said though. Game play is great. Just don’t understand why the people who do spend money on here to play don’t get taken better care of.

I’ve played ROK for over 2 years. It was my first game like this. I loved the game at first. It was so much fun. The graphics are good, they do update a lot, add new things regularly, I rarely had trouble with bugs. Now for the downside. This game is all about money sadly. I’m not talking about a few hundred dollars. If you want to have any chance of competing you’ll need to spend 10s of thousands of dollars. I know lots of players that have spent more then 100k on their castles. If you have the money good for you. The problem lies in with so many people from different parts of the world in your kingdom, problems arise, civil wars, non spenders losing interest. A year or so into the game you realize there are only a few dozen die hard players left in your kingdom. So your kingdom can’t compete in KVK, you start to lose KVKs and more quit. ROK absolutely refuses to allow you to move your castle to a new kingdom. They promise kingdom merges but in 2 years they have had maybe 3 of them thats 18 kingdoms merged into 9. Out of over 400 kingdoms. Their solution is start over in a new kingdom and spend more money. It’s sad that ROK has run this game into the ground with their greed. If you play check out some of the older kingdoms and see for yourself. Many are dead or dying

I have multiple accounts in this game. I only planned on one but it had so many glitches I had to start another. I used the in game support and was told to restart and use the read all button to get my rewards out of my email, unfortunately the email with that the rewards was in was gone and it didn’t work (which I included in the message). You apparently can only have one problem because when I went back it only would let me talk with a veteran player. This is a game coding issue and another player is NOT going to be able to help with this! This new update cuts off part of the screen when in castle view so you can’t get to all your buildings. If you are a non-English speaker watch out; the translator is horrible!!! Oh and when you build the cannons it tells you how many REMAINING donations there are but it should say how many donations were made or count down. Example: remaining donations: 20/20, should mean there are 20 donations that can be made but really 20 donations have already been made. Oh it drains the batter with all the downloading!!!! Constant flashing blue download in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

The gameplay is very good once you understand the mechanics. Bugs are minimal and they clearly spent some time organizing everything. Graphics are good without being over the top. The events are decent but could use some work. There is one big big problem with the game though. That’s the developers. They push so many new servers none of them are full. Most of the players are transplants from other servers. So you could spend the time getting your castle set up only to battle a few hundred people tops. The top 10 alliances can’t even get a full roster of players because there are not enough people play. They provide no option to move your castle to another server after lvl 6. Gameplay is solid, developers are keeping server capacity very low for some reason. I played for about two weeks only after getting a clear view of what was going on. They don’t seem to account for the players that only play a few days and don’t want to keep playing. If you want a castle building game with minimal action check this out.

Hey, there. I’m an OG at ROK. I’ve been playing since K16. KVK broke the game. Everyone wants peace now. You have so many mini games you have to spend an hour to do them all. Most are geared towards spending. The heroes that do anything useful have to be bought. So most spenders will always destroy you. Kingdoms open too quickly and leave us with half the players as when we started. Most that begin in a kingdom are actually waiting for the next. Or farms. So real players aren’t what they used to be. K16 we have 30 alliances full of active people. Now there MAYBE 3 full active teams by throne. After throne drama you’re down to 2 1/2 teams of active players. Hard to accomplish anything come kvk. Stop opening kingdoms twice a week and make people stay in their kingdom longer. Stop letting people hop. Oh, I know. Starting over is more spending. So they’d rather sacrifice the loyal players for the quick buck. The game isn’t what it used to be. But can be enjoyable if you don’t spend and just be ready to move on to a new one six months later when everything is dead.

I have been playing this game for a few months now and really enjoyed it until these latest changes. The new tournament of kingdoms is horrible. 1. They should call it the tournament of wishes. You get more points for making wishes in the fountain than the actual days topic. 2. The amount of points needed to get rewards is ridiculous. Even the players who spend a crap load of money can’t get the top rewards which these rewards are not worth it. 3. Each phase has a behind the scenes calculation that goes into the a kingdom total points. The developers need to setup so the players can calculate and not have to guess. 4. If you win the whole tournament but lose the last phase you lose. Basically the only good rewards for the kingdom come from winning the kingdom war phase. There is no point in trying to win the other phases or the tournament all together. 5. The rewards for winning the tournament are nothing. Most of the players I play with don’t even go after the chests. 6. The developers have not even sent a survey asking about the tournament. Why? Because they would be overwhelmed with the amount of negative feedback. If you are looking to get this game don’t until they either convert back to before the new tournament or update it.

If you are looking for a game where the GM (as they like to call themselves) or moderators are fair and try to help you solve game issues; then don’t bother with this game. I have asked them in the past to help me with several issues, always the same answer, “we cannot help you, hope you understand and enjoy the game.” The latest issue, unbinding. It says contact a GM to help unbind the account. I contact them and tell them I need help unbinding from the current email account to my email account. They ask me for purchase history. I send them screenshots of my latest purchase. Then they tell me, I’m sorry that’s not good enough. I need a screenshot of your Apple iTunes purchase history. So I send them a screenshot of my purchase history. Then they tell me they need a screenshot of my google purchase history. What??? I tell them I don’t buy from google store, I buy from the Apple store. You asked for that purchase history and I gave it to you. I get the standard reply, “I’m sorry, we cannot help you, hope you understand and enjoy the game.” If you get Joy the GM, ask for someone else. She has done nothing for me in this game. Go play State of Survival (zombies). It’s a better game with better support.

*update* Just wanted to update my review now that time has passed, everything is the same and it’s even worse than before. There was a time when hard work and commitment would be rewarded in this game, now it’s all about the money. Ingame GM’s won’t even give you the time of day if you don’t spend. *update* This game has completely changed from what it used to be. Every single decision the developer makes is to increase their profits. Their packs are a scam and this game is 100% pay to win. Don’t think for a minute you might get lucky. They have in app purchases that give you a sliver of a chance of getting something great. It all caters to the people willing to spend thousands of dollars on this game (there are people who do and you stand no chance against them). They have all the things in the game to get you hooked and then you realize later on how screwed You really are if you aren’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars a month. Their support staff is awful. Automatic canned responses, most the time they don’t even understand what you’re saying and don’t even answer your question or concerns. It’s as if they don’t even play the game themselves.

If you’re thinking of downloading this game, don’t do it. I’ve been playing this game almost a year now and really enjoying it; however, I’ve been having problems with one of the GMs. I’ve repeatedly asked for his supervisor’s direct contact info, but they refuse to give me that info. Evan is incredibly rude and ineffective as a GM, as he doesn’t read your questions before sending a response. This is a waste of time for GMs and players alike. Evan’s most recent response to me was, “Obviously, you're a super genius that can figure things out with clear logic. With that skill，you will definitely win this week Kvk. Wish you good luck.” Trust me when I tell you this was biting sarcasm, not a compliment. Who do we complain to when customer support refuses to escalate our issues? They must have supervisors, but they won’t let you speak to them. Every time I have a problem, Evan is the one who responds. It seems purposeful. He refuses to allow me to speak to any other GM even after repeated requests. Don’t get sucked into this game. You might get stuck with Evan the inept.

The rich will own you ... it’s not a game you can play without being forced to bow down to the biggest spenders... even at the top ... the power levels are so extremely overdone. The game was ruined when they introduced the legendary levels... but had to give the big spenders what they wanted.. total control of a server... and there is nothing you or your entire alliance can do about a single player.. even if your only 2 levels lower and even if you wanted to retaliate... there is a 5 minute timer... so they basically lay waste to your entire alliance while you wait for five minutes... all for any attack to fail miserably anyway... so now you sit... zero troops to gather and no resources to train any ... so how do you get back... yep... better spend some money .. or it’s months ... yes months ... to get even close to where you were ... do your self and keep looking .. the developers don’t care ...your response proves my point ! lol... do you even read these? Those one stars adding up quick... deleted app...

Recently the Rise of Kings creators have been making it harder and harder for people to grow and excel in the game. A big part of this game is gathering resources and to collect resources many people have separate accounts in which they use to farm and play dragon challenge on to receive rss crates. The resource crates were a huge advantage in this game and now the game has made all crates from dragon challenge protected so they cannot be shared between accounts. Basically the game has become more and more of a money grab by the ROK creators. They make excuses as they don’t want to overload servers with extra castles used as farms, if this was the case then why allow farms in a game? Played the game 3 years in kingdom 7 and they have made it more difficult to grow with these protected rss from almost every event, the kingdom has been dead for over 2 years and we have begged support for merges which they finally came out with but not for our kingdom. The support staff is not so helpful at times and the game has many bugs.
